    Title says all.

You wake up, wearing only the clothes on your back, in The Entity's realm with your fellow survivors. What do you do?

Wonder what in the entity's name got me there in the first place. Was there a killer that came with my DLC? If so, who?!?!

I would like, as The Shape, bury a kitchen knife into Clementines guts and watch the life fade away from her eyes. Cool

Maybe when she gets a little older

    Well, that's.... something.
Either way, if the devs were to ever consider this, they could just increase her age. They did this with Laurie. She's 21 in game, but 17 in the OG Halloween movies.

  • A few gripes/thoughts I have with DbD that I would love to have fixed/added:
    1. A blood web rework that doesn't feel like a grind.
    2. Bill on console. I play PC, but I may start playing on console soon just for fun.
    3. More licensed killers/survivors. This is more of just a personal thing.
    4. Some bug fixes... nothing much to add here.
4.5. Animation fixes. Somethings like Myers' mori model clip A LOT.

Her height is alike Hag, put at least her costume.

She's 5' 4, which is an average height for a female.

  • In all honesty tho, I think she would be great for DbD. She's unique, a survivalist, and her character would fit in with ease. She could be a solo DLC like bill or come with a zombie killer. Either way, I think it would be cool. They're only 2 issues that I see. She's a little young (like 16), but they could just kick the age up 2 years and boom (they did this with Laurie, she's technically 17 in the OG Halloween)! The other issue is the art styles between the games. However, I believe that with good modeling/texturing skills, they could fit her in w/o making her look disfigured.

  • Neat concept! I could see this working out if it was tested a bit. The ability is pretty balanced in my opinion and the character would fit in seamlessly. The only issues come with some of the perks. Malicious Harvest seems a little OP. I would reduce the values to maybe like 20/25/30 seconds max. Survivors interact with those objects A LOT, so a perk affecting those items shouldn't have too drastic of an effect. The crow perk is kinda confusing to me. Does the bonus apply for each crow near you? Or the whole murder of crows? The last perk is amazing, I'm surprised this hasn't been added already. Although, it would put a heavy workload on the devs creating the affected areas on every map. Nice job overall!

How do you submit questions to the q&a?

I can't find it in the Weekly Q&A section.

When a Q&A is coming up, they normally create a post for the questions and pin it to the top of the General Discussions page. However, they only take so many questions, so make sure you ask your questions quickly.

EDIT: Not 100 percent sure on this but I'm pretty sure.

  • I said Alcatraz mainly because of how other video games have portrayed it (like Mob of the Dead in Call of Duty). The atmosphere is near perfection.

the tw- I mean the white house or the basement of wendys

See here's the issue tho. Everyone who has been in the basement of Wendy's has never returned alive, so how could the devs model such a place that has never been seen by a living human?

  • @Vietfox said:
I was expecting to have shorter queue times after the rank reset but apparently not, any reason why this keeps happening?
Is it bugged? Everyone is playing as survivor? There's a new cool tv show and no one is playing DbD? People realized there's a world to visit out there?
    PS4 EU btw

I thought survivors were known to get lobbies faster than killers. Maybe a matchmaking bug? I don't know how PS4 matchmaking currently works, so I'm not much help here. My only guess is a matchmaking bug, but it could be anything for all I know.

Am I* the only one who feels that I need a 5th perk slot as Survivor or Killer? I find myself in a debate with deciding which perk I should switch out to balance the play style I'm going for.

But picking your few perks is what makes the somewhat strategical. There's no fun in saying "Should I use DS or borrowed time" and going "Why not both?". The 4 perk slots we got now are fine.

They said they were expanding the ways you could control volume in the game. So maybe they could have dials for killer noises, music, and other stuff.

I doubt it'd be so specific. Sound plays a huge role in this game and if I could put the in-game music to 25% of normal levels and leave other noises at 100%, it'd be OP.

Chase music was one of the main factors that determined this new audio system. Everyone said it was too loud, so the devs wanted to add a new control system that allowed you to turn it down. Idk if it would be op or not.

  • They said they were expanding the ways you could control volume in the game. So maybe they could have dials for killer noises, music, and other stuff.

  • I like the killer lunges as they are. While some of the killer's lunges can be annoying, I would say that many things need to happen before that. Why not a DS rework? Or a SWF & solo balance first? Point is, it's not nearly as bad as some of the other things in the game right now.

  • I'd suppose there would be some stream about the PTB, but if there isn't one don't be surprised.

    Hey,

i would like to the a "Battle Pass" thing in DbD. Such as in fortnite or Rocket league. You have to do some missions, like unhook XY times, play Nurse for XY Rounds or something like that. And for each tier up in the "battle pass" you get cosmetic pieces, shards, bloodpoints etc. pp

Whats your opinion on that idea? I rly wish the devs would do something like that <3

    Greetings

Eh... It would just feel like BHVR trying to get a quick cash grab. I just don't think it would fit well in this game.

  • We need BBQ!!!

So I got into a match I played as Legion cuz i wanted pretty much I got destroyed cause of a Feng Min with a sabo toolbox that litterally destroyed all the hook, a Claudette with a purple flashlight, a David with fireworks and another Claudette that bodyblocked me, technically I only hooked someone. After they escaped, they started throwing trash at me cuz I was a "Baby Killer" And that I should kill myself and uninstall the game, I can't believe they say that after all they've done, Im so done with this game and the community that just throws trash at you cuz "ur bad", im actually really thinking of throwing this game. I love the game but the game isn't fun anymore when they just make the game impossible for the killer to even hook people.

I wish BHVR would crack down on toxicity bans a little more. It's just frustrating how people can say some really derogatory things and get off scot-free a few days later when their ban ends. I'm not suggesting permabans at all, but maybe some form of punishment other than bans.

I know this is a weird example, but there was this game on mobile devices called "Cow Evolution". Essentially, there used to be an infinite currency glitch on the game that you could get by changing the time on your device. Say I stopped playing at 12 pm and then I added 1 hour to the clock to make it 1 pm, I would just get an hour's worth of currency from doing that. However, the devs found out about the glitch, so now anyone that tries to do the glitch gets punished by not being able to get any currency for 1 day.

I wish something like this came to DbD (not as extreme tho). Like if I were being toxic in the endgame chat, I would first get a warning. Then, if I violated the toxicity rule again, I would get a 1-day ban and 2 days of 20% fewer bloodpoints. This is just something I thought of. It seems like most bans don't really seem to fix anything. Those who were toxic will remain toxic after their bans.

This is just another concept I thought off the top of my head, so tell me what do you think?

  • @xXNurseXx said:
    nope no nurse nerfs

when i come home from work i deserve my 4k every round for playing the hardest killer

i would even say we should give her 110% movement speed that not so good nurse players can also catch up

survivor just need to play different against nurses. my bbq, nurse calling, whispers and shadowborn build doesnt make it easy for them but nurse is imo fine the way she is

    Username checks out! (jk jk).
In all seriousness, I don't think nurse needs a buff. I would say nerf her a bit, but then make her a little easier to play.

  • I would say that it should start maxed when you enter the trial (8000 pts). When you go down, you would lose 3K of that (5000 points). These points can be added back with things such as self-healing. If you die, however, you lose those 5K points (that you would have secured normally by escaping), but again, you can still get points back by self-healing and other actions that normally reward survival.

  • I would place legion slightly above Freddy on my tier list. I honestly think that Freddy is the worst killer in the game. He has good chase potential but has trouble securing a down, so this is what my tier list would look like:

    1. Nurse
    2. Billy
    3. Hag
    4. Spirit
    5. Huntress
    6. Clown
    7. Myers
    8. Pig
    9. Doctor
    10. Trapper
    11. LF
    12. Wraith
    13. Legion
    14. Freddy
  • Glad it's fixed! IDK what you did to make it go away, but if it happens again, then just use the task manager.

  • @Slayer said:
    Nurse or Hillbilly?

    Hillbilly by a mile IMO.
The Nurse takes a long time to master, but it's definitely more rewarding.
As for Billy, you just need to know how to apply map pressure well and you're already almost there.

    Hello @Entità !
We can bring the idea to the devs but we can't say if this is something we are going to do.

Yay! I'm devotion 2 now and I would be excited if there were ever rewards for devotion. Right now, it just feels unrewarding.

My hand was forced since day one to be a killer main. Why might you ask? Because if I am going to be a survivor... I need to feel like the actual survivor is as close of a replica to myself as I can get. I'm the same way in other games, if I play a human character, I need to relate somehow.

So with that said I think it's time we have fat survivors.

Below is a list of fat survivors I feel would be suitable for the DBD universe.

    Bluto from Animal House
    Walter Sobchik from Big Lebowski
    Chunk from Goonies
    Bob from Fight Club
    Chubby from Teen Wolf
    Fat Boys from the disorderlies
    Uncle Buck
    Dynamo from the running man
    House from police academy
    Tommy Boy
    The kid from bad santa

    Perk Ideas

Fat Fury - When sliding over a pallet, 10% chance to break the pallet causing fat fury. For the next 30 seconds, you run normal speed and can crash into enemy killers to stun them. Only usable every 3 minutes.

Pizza Time - While remaining still for 5 seconds, grunts and groans cannot be heard. Activating this ability allows you to snack on left over pizza. Increasing your action speed 4% per use. Up to 5 uses per game, only usable when injured. 60 second cooldown.

He did it - Since you cannot fit in lockers, you can point others out at half speed.

    Big Chungus

What would you like to see fixed?  I'm mostly looking forward to seeing how much better the gameplay feels with dedicated servers, as well as see what new content the devs have for us!

I would just want 2 things:
    A) Dedicated servers to turn out well
    B ) More licensed killers

  • The reason why ruin is a totem is because it would be too devastating if it wasn't. New players have a harder time dealing with the ruin skillchecks and good players can just power through it.

However, I do agree that Huntress' lullaby shouldn't be a totem. It has way too small of an impact for it to be a totem.

  • Mattieu said in a live stream not too long ago that he was working on getting them.

So as we all know, the devs have been doing something for the Chinese New Year every year. The first time we saw this was with the year if the rooster shirts for the survivors. Last year we had The David jacket along with the hound huntress mask. Last year was year of the dog and the year before that was year if the rooster. This year its year if the pig. And who do we have to represent this perfectly? Why miss Amanda Young herself!!! Of course she is a licenced killer but this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce new cosmetics for them!!! I dont k ow who else could fit the Pig category aside from The Pig herself. Not sure what the survivor reward could be either. Or maybe it'll be something like the Hallowed Blight again (hopefully a bit better in terms of getting the actual rewards). Ayway what do you guys think will happen with the lunar new year event?

Lets get our piggi some love!

1 built in for all survivors
1 built in for all killers

what would they be and why?

I'm not saying any perks should be built in because that may cause imbalance, but if there HAD to be a built-in perk for each side, it would be:

Killer: BBQ and Chili for anti-tunnel/anti-camp
Survivor: Kindred to help balance SWF and solo survivors.

  • DCing excessively is bannable, but I'm pretty sure de-pipping will not get you banned.

  • I don't play Feng all that much, but I do agree that Meg has WAY too many cosmetics

  • Literally not one thing I disagree with here.

  • This would be cool to see! It would make Freddy so much fun!

  • My lucky killer (believe it or not) is Freddy. I always find myself getting lucky with things like finding the survivor before they found the hatch, or even just getting a 4K!

My lucky survivor is probably David King or Bill, I always just seem to have good luck with these two.

  • That's going in my Dead by Daylight Scrapbook, right next to "Pretty good job so far".

  • There needs to be an incentive not camp or tunnel. BBQ & Chili does a good job at this by trying to keep the killer away from the hook and rewarding the killer when they down a unique survivor. However, this isn't that effective because it's a perk. Thus, killers can just not equip it. I would add something like this:

Similar to how survivors get bloodpoints from the unhook + the safe unhook, killers should get points from hooking a survivor, and then an extra bonus if they leave the survivor on the hook. This would allow killers to benefit from not camping while still ensuring the safety of survivors (unlike bbq and how it reveals survivors auras).

And as for tunneling, maybe something like a personal borrowed time perk? Idk, I haven't figured that out entirely yet.

  • Yeah, console is in desperate need of an FPS upgrade. I play PC, but that's not to say the Xbox/PS4 fans don't matter to me. Honestly, if the devs couldn't get the massive optimization patch out by December, then why didn't they say anything beforehand? At least the optimization is still coming, just not as soon as we'd like.

  • I think they said they were testing alternate modes in one of their dev streams. I'm not 100% sure tho.

  • I hope the PTB comes soon

  • @Poweas said:
Is it actually a good perk when you gain distance? I've been losing killers so easily now that I've started running it over alert. It's insane. Is it actually a viable perk? I feel like killers lose me really easily now that I've been running it, it's an awesome feeling. Or am I wrong in thinking it's actually useful?

    I heard its pretty good.
