Every survivor that beats a spirits believes he is God tier survivor (which he is if playing against a good spirit).

While I absolutely agree with most of what you say in this post, those examples (except Ash) are based on BHVR's own characters. They can make them juggle squirrels and spit rainbows if they want to.
The licensed characters are based of (fairly popular) horror characters. You could easily argue that there is "lore" and "canon" established for some of these characters (even as ridiculous as Halloween 5 and Curse of MM are)!
Anyway, it is just a cosmetic and hopefully nobody will actually spend real $ on it. Given the options for MM cosmetics (as few as there are) this just seems like a ridiculous choice...but maybe it was all they could get approved for.

Ah yes! And in this case, the bandage mask would make MUCH more sense as an addition as well.

ah yes, good catch! And he did have pants so the only time I believe he was shown in a gown is the beginning of the original. I think he was in something similar in the Rob Zombie remake too (similar to the 2018).
Yeah, the gown was just an odd choice, especially when they then have to address the issue of what he has under it.
It just seems off, then doubly so when he is in the gown with his mask. Every movie he gets some.clothes before he gets the mask.

The 2018 movie has him in a gown quite a bit. Not much in any of the old movies. A short killing spree in the Rob Zombie remake with (I believe) one of his homemade masks and hospital garb.
He never appears with the gown AND his mask in any scene. That is my biggest gripe. It just doesn't look right. At all.

It is a game that definitely is worth the subscription. I love that I don't have to make a ton of Alta and everything I do enhances my character. It's great!

800 mg ibuprofen and at least 16oz water. Chug the entire water. You'll feel better but won't make you any less "fuzzy" feeling (that's the physiological remedy)
My personal remedy is the above and two bacon egg and cheese mcmuffins.

While i DO think they look cool and are well done, I have never really liked them. I always thought they are just too bright.
I prefer something darker or more gorey so I never spent money on them. I have a few I earned in past events but never use them. I do think the art team makes them look really great, just not in a direction I would prefer.

I just watched RiffTrax version of "The Uninvited"...so stupid and good.
I am pretty sure it was Day of the Animals I am remembering. Was there a scene with "wild dogs" and was there just a ton of footage of a bird watching the hikers? And if I remember correctly, doesn't a bear maul the old guy (I think it's Leslie Nielson)??

Halloween events is usually where I spend the most money on free games due to the cool events and cosmetics.
The money I have spent in DbD for the last TWO Halloween events: $0
Games I HAVE spent money: DCUO, ESO, Warframe, FFXIV.

It's going great! I've unlocked a ton of stuff for my celestial healer! I have also done a TON of leveling and got some cool cosmetics for my magcro. I have even tried out the Ember rework!

Idk....haven't touched it. Too many other awesome Halloween events going to play DbD's lackluster thing they called an 'event'.

Doors your favorite killer come with perks that are good for your other favorite killer?
I play nearly exclusively killer (NEARLY), and I don't own every killer....just most of them.
If you will have fun playing a killer you don't already have, weigh that against playing a killer you already have and the perks you wish you had for it.
Nobody can answer this except for you.
Also of note: more killers you have open up more variation in dailies.

When I was a kid there was a class in middle/high school called Home Ec. (Economics).
Was mostly for "girls" (because housewives etc, yet somehow I took it because "woodshop" was full or something) but it taught you crap like this. How to use a stove, cut vegetables, sew, use a microwave...
They got rid of it because it was "outdated" and sexist or something...evidently the liberal education system doesn't want people learning how to use a kitchen (yet cable is riddled with cooking shows)
And now people do crap like this.I

I won't. Marvel Disney has crapped all over once great stories, dumbing them down and trading awesome characters for their version of "diversity", and eschewing quality story telling and characters for slapstick comedy.
Slack jawed suburban popcorn audiences are the target...and will sadly pay by the mounds to gobble it up. Again.
Anyone that understands what actually diversity is and has at least half a frontal lobe will skip it.

I got into a game tonight for the first time since they launched dedicated servers.
Been queuing every night and waiting 5 mins. If no game, I quit and play something else.
I finally got in tonight (as Freddy) and it worked ok. It still really bugs me that they would do this for a PAID game (not free to play),especially since there is no single player or AI mode (it requires their servers to play)
They will have to blow my mind with progress before I spend money on this game again though! It's just godawful business practices but sadly there are too many people who will gobble it up and continue to spend money.
Probably the same folks who buy gambling boxes in other games....they've ruined the industry for the rest of us.

I got into a game tonight as both survivor AND killer...for the first time since dedicated servers launched.
That's not great but at least it finally worked.
This game has a LOT of making up to do before I spend money on it again.

Except for Pennywise. He's garbage, as is all of Stephen Kings plagiarized crap. In fact, the world would.likely be more intelligent if none of his garbage novels ever existed.
But chucky and Jason could be great additions!

They all are.
Some are just slightly less so, depending on killer build.
Some are just absolutely garbage for a killer (haddonfield as an example)

He needs minor tweaks, but I really like his playstyle over all.
As a survivors: to good survivors he's an M1 killer with ANNOYING AND UNFUN gameplay so this should be tweaked.
Lose the stance swapping and shocking (or make the shocking cause damage).
He just needs a few tweaks, not an entire rework. I really like his play, but it can be overly frustrating and long for some folks

Swf DO communicate over voice com with each other.
It exists. It creates imbalance in a game designed around lack of verbal communication (lest the killer should hear!)
So what is the question/problem? 3 pages in this thread don't answer this.
It exists. The developers can't change it. So what's the remedy?

When this similar thing happened in marvel heroes online (omega or whatever you want to call it) the game shut down in <a year
Not saying it is happening here but I wish they would get their crap together and figure out their servers so I could play.
The game should be a AAA title...they just need to treat it like one.

Hey, I can't play either due to their godawfu! Servers now.
I have been playing warframe, DCUO and Warcraft (don't flame me!) Because I can actually get in and play those games.
Don't quit because ppl are garbage (welcome.to the real world...8 billion of em), quit because the game blows.

I guess it depends on where you live but when they switched, I haven't been able to get into a game. If you are playing against low speed hosts, that does suck and I empathize with you.
It's hard when you just want to play the game and you are a victim to garbage servers/hosts!

Must be a while since you've played...sadly (for me), there are dedicated servers. Where once I had 1000mbps internet, I am now unable to get into game.
No more hosting high speed games. We are all victims of their dedicated servers.

In this game, something is usually balance if one side hates it and the other hates it for the opposite reason (ie jump scare myers) There HAS to be discontent or It's not balance.
When one side is complaining and the other side is silent or says "yeah, that works" it's not a good sign and the design is one sided (ie: nurse changes)
If BOTH sides hate it for the SAME reason, it's a bad gameplay design (IE swamp)

The best survivor group will ALWAYS be better than the best killer player (no matter the killer). It's the basis for the game.
Just play the killer you think is best. Most of the learning curve is learning maps and typical survivor player actions/behaviors.
The actually killer mechanics play a role too and I can't know what you consider fun so pick one you like, watch streamers and practice

If I can actually play this game again, it just adds to my game pool and makes decisions more difficult(because I enjoyed this game when I could actually play it)

Testing dedicated servers is fine.
I used to have to grapple with a decision over which game I will spend time and money in...
Dedicated servers narrowed down the choices for me.I

As a killer with really great internet, I haven't been able to get into a game since they were implemented. The closest I've gotten is a long loading screen and then kicked out.
I have been trying once a day. If I sit in the lobby for 5 mins or longer, I just quit and play something else.
Stinks because I used to be able to get right in.
Oh well, plenty of other games to play and spend money on right now.

Are you BLIND!? He's on the far left, crouching in the bushes, topless. You have to sort of blur your eyes because they used one of those "magic eye" camera filters from the 90's. When you see him, hes in 3d.

Well, if you did buy boxes of games in the past, you would read something that should be well too obvious for people by now but you seem to fail to understand - playing online changes the experience, usually for the "worse". So OBVIOUSLY when you are a killer and you play through a server and not when you are the host, there going to be the occasional lag spike or internet mishap. Just like it happened on P2P.
I mean, complaining about a random internet hiccup is just clueless and purposeless. It's not really a bug. It's expected. It happened with P2P as well in case you are so conveniently forgetting.
So the random occasional lag spikes are not only far less worse than how it was on P2P, it's just plain silly to present them as stuff that "need to hold back dedicated servers". That is all.
I wouldn't call "every day since dedicated servers went live" a "random hiccup". I love in the US and have fantastic connection for every other game I play on PC.
THeir servers are indeed borked for a lot of people.
