It didn't even take me 3 hours after release to get the achievement. Just use the blindfold addon when playing, done.
-
I have played a lot of Judgment over the recent days, and I do happily engage with survivors, especially at close range.
Why? you ask?
To learn. To get better. And predicting movement is fun for me. Sometimes when you can clearly see the survivor, it's even easier and not at all "hard" to 360.
Also, many many do get hit by baiting the beam, a.k.a. just don't cast it / cancel it. The cooldown is very minimal and if they run towards you an easy hit.
I know not everyone plays this way, and it cost me some games - but remember, the long-range snipes will get rarer and rarer as survivors adapt.
Already I have to predict survivor leaving the gen in a direction when doing a snipe against higher MMR players - it's fun when you actually hit them! -
Tbh even in the PTB I didn't really have ANY issue dodging long-range snipes. Once you see the killer do it, you expect it.
It's just a part of how this killer plays. I hope they don't add any other hand-holding for survivors and I'm glad the bigger visual indicator is not applied on release
Imagine having an indicator when Myers or GF stalks you 😭 -
Yeah, very annoying

Tbh, this the most survivor sided event of the game, no joke. Blood gens are hard to protect and there is many instances of blood pumps spawning near blood gens. I remember myself completing a gen very fast last year due to a pump spawning right beside it.
Its a event so no stress, but its much easier for survivors than it is for killers.
If you are having trouble, try running fixated. It helps a lot to walk with the galloons
That's not my experience at all. Even with low-tier killers you can put much more pressure on survivors in the event game mode, not to say almost every killer brings dead mans switch which blocks the blood gens when refilling
-
Blood pump spawns definitely are bugged, I can't see how they would intentionally make them spawn 2 meters apart from each other… Also it is very easy for a killer to "undo" a survivor wasting time filling up a can and walking to the gen, which amounts to a lot of lost progress for the survivors.
When doing regular gens, the progress the survivor invested stays (unless actively regressed)

Run DS. Its a free perk accessible to all. So there's that one. There's also several anti-tunnel perks that you could be using, but at least DS is free.
DS seems bugged in this update, 2 times it did nothing for me, despite hitting the skillcheck… so there's that

either new cheats or bug, most likely a bug, forgot to mention ur not the only 1 experienced it, ive seen somebody complain in a lobby about it as well.
This update definitely is on hell of a bugfest, can't deny that

- I think it's an intentional mechanic... as a survivor, you can really anticipate your "entry into the locker", for example if you suspect the killer has BBQ
But what does this have to do with 'anticipating' the entry into the locker?
In my opinion it's a bug or let's say an inconsistency the devs haven't bothered fixing as there are higher priorities -

Unless it states must complete in 2v8 mode they can be done in 1v4. Other events allowed this also.
The whole tome is for 2v8 mode, no need to specify it for the individual challenges in the tome
-
WORKAROUND:
Do the challenge as KILLER, in NORMAL 1v4 Mode 😂😂
It worked for me 😎
-
After getting grabbed by a knight's guard out of locker (deep wound), game COMPLETELY bugs out, ANY interactions are not possible anymore (no gen, hook, totem cleanse, healing, self healing, etc.). No control over Character. Gamebraking.
-
Very slow loading times of this forum, it's a shame really.
-
Happens AT LEAST EVERY GAME now. Totally broken! Cannot rescue survivors! Pics attached.

Queen Xeno is no less pay to lose than Default Xeno is, which is none at all because they're both the same size in-game.
Dude, queen Xeno even clips through the doors on Lerys because she is so tall - definitely the tallest killer by far

Im pretty sure I heard some where he was meant to have a throw ability similar to Wesker but at the time they werent able to.
Would love a source on that.
Also a wall climb would of been awesome ngl
Yeah wall climbing would be great, however what we have for Xeno currently is actually unprecedented for DBD killer gameplay since this is the first killer to move on all 4, something that bhvr actually worked months on to achieve, so now that we have one, it might possibly lead to more killers moving on more than just 2 legs in the future.
Also judging by how Xeno's tunnel system was originally what bhvr wanted for Demo's tunnel teleport, but didn't have the manpower and technology to achieve it back then, maybe we can get something like Wall Crawling at some point in the future if the game keeps evolving.
Source for wall crawling ability is Senior Game Designer Janick Neveu from BHVR:
""[...] originally, we pitched the idea of crawling on walls. Like it's something we explored, but it was turned off quite quickly. Just because of the sheer amount of work it would have involved because our game is not built that way, right, our killer walks on a plane and it's very solid that way. But as soon as we try to play with that, it becomes very fragile."
-
Why not "simply":
IF:
- Killer within 24m of a hooked survivor
AND:
- No Survivor within 16m of a hooked survivor
THEN:
[hook progress / second] = 0

Where did you get this info?
Source is an interview with BHVR about the Alien chapter

I would not advise editing any config files for higher FPS, it could get you perma-banned

I have to agree, the current UI for "finding" the report button is extremely user-unfriendly, to the point of where I think the devs must do it on purpose, to minimize the amount of reports they have to review, there is no other explanation for hiding it.
Every other game I know either has a big "REPORT THIS PLAYER" button in the killcam or player spectator view, or in the leaderboard. Here, in DBD, you first have to take your time to locate the button, when you click on the player's name (which many people actually do first), there doesn't even come up any report button (as in your screenshot, only block).
So many assume you actually CAN'T report a player (especially new players, I known this from a friend). You actually have to press the Escape/Sacrifice icon, which is beyond insane and extremely poor UI design, unfortunately. Can't believe this made it through QA (if there even is any).
-
I also haven't crashed a single time. I'm on PC.

Alien Xenomorph please

The link doesn't work
It's because they lock down PTB 5.0 feedback after the PTB ends so no on can see all the feedback they got and changed nothing to live.
-
Zombies should be "smarter". Cmon BHVR it's not that hard. When Gen is turned on (>0% progress) then the gen emits noise (is loud) and so the zombies should check them out automatically.

You say? I once had a game on RPD map, I was sitting on the hall gen and there was a nearby zombie who did nothing for the whole game and I safely did the gen.
Is this a perfect behavior?
It's perfect BHVR, as we know them ;)
-
Should be 40 Seconds tbh
-
I just don't understand why performance would be an issue, as the zombie AI should definitely be handled by the server and not the clients.
And to render 2 more characters in Unreal engine... performance impact is none-existant. Especially the models they used for zombies
-
Trickster is best for the make survivors scream 60 times challenge :) Just hit 60 knifes. Everything else, meh
-
Now it works again! Was down for about 20 to 25 minutes
-
Yes matchmaking is down for killer and survivors
-
Oh then matchmaking is definitely having problems (again)
-
Servers down? I am also for 12 Minutes in a killer queue...
-
I bet this is also the reason why survivors don't get the Hindered status effect off a whip from Nemesis.. They are supposed to slow down but it outright does not work. (there even is an Addon for Nemi which makes the Hindered effect longer, it also does a whole lot of nothing) ...
-
The game is so bugged, I just canceled matchaking as killer (which took 20 minutes without finding a game), and now I can't click ANYTHING, not Esc, not leave, just kill the game via task manager... This patch is horrible
-
I do like playing Demo and I have to agree considering how easy it is to use his Shred, a small nerf is justified, in my opinion.
-
But no patch notes yet?

Yeah, apparently this is a thing. I don't know if it's intended or not but it doesn't really matter either way - laceration decays so quickly it's better to fully commit.
Edit: I mean fully commit to downing the lacerated survivor.
I hope this in unintentional as this would be a HUGE counter to the killer in a swf scenario :(
-
It's when you have your FPS unlocked or higher FPS than 60, they messed up the UI code with the update, so the UI animations speed depends on your FPS
-
Could you eplain how you have to move your eyes now further than before? When the portraits were in bottom left corner, it was also very far from the center...
-
Because this one is the strongest of them all.
/sarcasm off
-
Shapeshift to adapt to certain situations.
Kinda like a werewolf: Small wolf for stealthing around, sneaking to survivors. If you enter this form, you make the typical "Awooo" :)
Then transform into the big boy, one hit downs with ability, quick pallet break and some sort of slam attack (doing AOE damage multiple survivors).
Downside should be that survivors can somehow weaken you with some mechanic if they play it correctly, but not all the time (no surivor-dependent power).
-
This bug is pretty gamebraking... The scraping sound the whole time is really putting me off and you can't hear survivors thus....
Also to fix it, you slow yourself down a bit...

As a pyramid head main (actually paused the game for a bit now ,2 months maybe), and when I say main I mean I didn't play anything but him at the end, with maybe Demo, the problem wasn't that he was too strong or too weak, like you said he was in a good position but not at the level of a spirit or to the Nightmare.
The problem with PH was that the options he gave to the survivors were a loose loose situation on chokepoints. Either the survivor locks himself in a window vault animation* or a palet drop animation and you just use your M2, or he doesn't, you stop, and you just basic attack him. Which actually lets the survivor no choice at all. A loose loose indeed.
- (which are even more obvious with their items disappearing during the animation).
His problem was exactly like Deathslinger, except Deathslinger has more range and can aim, but is also less precise, blablabla little differences but it doesn't matter.
Demo is a bit like that for windows, but not at all on pallets since he can't go through, which makes him less annoying to survivors (and generally he has too much downsides on his soundclues to be frustrating anyway, he has a stealth aspect on his power that he wont ever be able to use in his current state).
They wanted to make PH more like Huntress, if you don't take the window she can't instantly throw her hatchet at you and you can react accordingly. Same for pallets.
Imo it would have been a better change not to slow him when he stops to put trenches as it is an aspect of his power, to forbid the survs to cross some areas of the map at a cost.
But the change on his ability to swing just after he stops to use his POTD is a good choice imo, as long as it isn't bugged like it is right now.
Yeah very well said.

Pyramid head is of those low skill cap killers which are very effective with very little skill (much like Freddy). You could literally be a green rank killer and do well against red rank survivors based purely on how easy his skill is to use. That's why he's seen as toxic. There's little a survivor can do to escape him.
I would not call him low skill cap.. Against good survivors you have to decide if you use the cages, fake the power on loops, react quickly when survivors bait the power, etc.
Also the aiming is kinda weird and not so easy to be precise and quick around round loops
-
Yeah thanks for all the answers guys, I will play him to my heart's content! 😁

👆🏽Yes, totally agree👆🏽
Medkits and their add ons were cut down fairly substantially.
Since I frequently run into Sloppy, or any of the 10 or so add-ons that cause the Mangled status effect, a med kit is necessary to not always force my teammates to heal me. Also, I Solo queue, soo can’t always be depending on anyone to get me back to full health.
I almost always bring Inner Strength and We’ll Make It anyway, so I’m not wasting too much time healing off unhook, and we can all get back to our objectives.
Only the most busted Addons were cut down somewhat, and that is the minimum they could do. Even bringing just one brown Medkit eliminates far too much pressure from the killer, as it basically is a 5th perk (Self care) with absolutely no downside (if you bring self care, it wastes a perk slot)
-
Yeah... please just move the camera up. The Blight's size is average, not small...
-
I also don't see any issue with Undying. Just run Small Game or Detectives Hunch and you're good as survivor...
