There was this really cocky Hag main, who I stomped in a long chase (they were playing Clown though) so we went into a KYF and I looped them for 5 minutes at a T and L wall (literally didn't use a single pallet while my friend did gens), and they called it 'spamming' and said they can down me in 5 seconds if I didn't 'spam'. XDDDD we got both the gens done, escaped and laughed while they gave us death threats.

XDDDD ok, this has made my day. Adrenaline and Spine chill? Dead Hard (which is bugged af)? Borrowed time?! XDDDDD! You're so hilarious. I can't believe the entitlement, you think strong perks deserve a nerf lmfao.
Yes, someone gives a nerf idea to an addon that EVERYONE agrees is pretty busted, and he's instantly assumed to be a survivor main and apparently thinks killers don't deserve fun. I love the BS there that you pulled out of nowhere. Absolutely love it.
I play both sides (currently no killer though, because the sound bug and Oni bug don't allow me to enjoy it), and I personally don't find DS an issue as either side, aside from endgame. But the rest of the perks are so balanced lmfao. I love how you posted nothing constructive and called me "selfish and entitled" yet you were completely entitled yourself.
Adrenaline literally rewards survivors for reaching endgame. Spine chill is an information perk, and is quite easily countered by crab-walking, as many in the forums have stated. Unbreakable is hilariously situational, and doesn't get use as often as you think in a match. BT has seen so many nerfs, and is completely balanced now, it does its job well. DH is trash and overshadowed by SB, Lithe and even Head on, it's only popular because streamers deem it good, and this community idolises them and follows their words completely. DS is the only one that should get a tiny nerf not to work in endgame. Lmfao.
Instead of pulling BS from god knows where, give me a response to my thread, or don't comment. Nobody cares about anything else, and I'm sure nobody wants your petty insults.

The thing is. Buying 1 minute in a chase, could be 1 minute for 1 or 3 gens.
If the others are working on gens while split up, a 1 gen chase turns into a 3 gen chase.
Yeah, they usually stay on the same gen which is why the coordination scared me so much. Usually, I have to force them off the gen to actually make that scenario happen.

I understand, just pointing out an issue. Personally Id rather see it get changed completely. No matter what kind of 360 no-look no scope skillshot you implement into the addon, survivors will be frustrated going doing in 1 hit. This isnt golf where they'll give a polite clap and say "Good shot my dear lad".
XD, yeah!
-
@LordGlint said:
You run into a problem where this would be very map dependent. Theres plenty of areas like on "The Game" where youd have trouble ever finding a target 24 meters away to take a shot at.
Touche, it was just a suggestion though.

Oh, just read your statement XD

Now put yourself in Huntresses shoes! Are you literally going to wait for a survivor to be 24m+ just to have a slim to no chance to get an instadown? Are you literally gonna measure out 24m+ mid match?
The only reason why I disagree is because nobody is gonna measure out 24m+ to get an instadown. I would rather change the add-on to were in order to get the instadown she has to fully wind up to get the instadown, but wind up time is tremendously increase
Maybe the addon lights up when you're within range? Anyways, it's one way to make it less oppressive. I got another which is to make her passively recharge 1 hatchet every 4 or 5 seconds, but that one is a little too strong imo.

The forums have always been like this.

One in a million? Hardly.
It literally just takes three survivors willing to split up, hold M1, and not go for silly "hero plays". Plus someone who is a good looper. Voila, gens are getting done.
I'm not a very good looper anymore, I'm average as hell lol. Imo, that chase SHOULD'VE been worth 1 gen only, not 3.

@Huff said:
Without an actual video or something it's hard to tell exactly how long of a game we're talking, since we're going based off your rough estimates, but yes I can also say that I've had games where it seems like I literally just don't have the necessary power to stop every survivor from completing a gen. Usually because the moment one survivor gets chased, all the other 3 will all start flocking to generators, so then it ends up being a race against the gen times. If the survivors end up playing like that and you get bad map RNG where the survivors have a lot of really safe loops and stuff? Good luck winning that.
Start was about 4 mins because the PH was doing very well when chasing them and applied decent pressure. Then they ended it fully (us 3 escaping) in about 1-2 mins. So it was around 6 mins in total.

@ALostPuppy said:
Well if 3 survivors are on 3 different gens and the killers commits to one person who knows what they're doing and doesn't pressure gens...that's gonna happen at any rank, with any killer.
But normally I have to personally force my team to spread out. I've never seen a solo team do it so instinctively it was incredible.
-
Normally my games go relatively fast, but not THAT fast.
@EvilJoshy said:
The devs forgot why ruin was in the game in the first place. Now most killers are leaving because they lack pressure and a lot of crappy survivors are ranking up. This is what happens when you hand out participation trophies.
Highly doubt Ruin would've affected them. They were monsters.

Kates are mission oriented imo. They are not that alturistic far as I can say. I mean, they also try to safe their mates, but more with a "argh, god damned, why is nobody else running to the hook? Now I need to make it. hmpf" mindset.
And don't be mad at me now Kate mains, if I play survivor (in very rar cases), there is a 50% chance that I play her. Well her, or Jeff :).
That's actually me XD. I'm always working on preventing my teammates from 3 genning and always pressuring gens and forcing them to split up on it.

I wish they had at least killed some deadzones on midwich, this is by far the most survivor sided map ever, if you aren't playing as doctor, you going to lose no matter what
Midwich is survivor sided? XD It also sucks for survivors (unless you circle the main building, and ignore every single pallet and window).

when I watched dbd i always wondered why nobody ever cleansed, but now my eyes have been opened
Her corrupt mode is REALLY strong. She's like Deathslinger, with an AOE and if on the high ground, a lot of range. In maps like Lerys, she's very loopable. But in pretty much any other map, you wont be able to loop a good Plague with good aim.
-
Survivors, definitely. I don't face much toxic killers anymore.

im not gonna gift her that 4k just so i can say "well at least i didnt give her her power".
if we have one guy hooked, another one downed and the third potentially in a chase i wont go there while fully infected, unless i know its safe to do so.
that would be suicide.
also i have no controll over what the randoms in my team are doing, so "just spread out" or "coordinate your approach properly" is great advise - for SWFs, which really helps me as a solo player.
Honestly, you'd find it odd how easily I'm able to coordinate my solo's team most the time. I can USUALLY (unless we get people like that Dwight) force them to spread out on gens early game which leads to a fast pace of gens getting done. But that's only if they understand my intentions which most people will. Sometimes I get rank 20's and just pressure gens myself while they die because it's their second game ever. Matchmaking... :3
If you also get a lucky team, you can definitely coordinate them to spread out. Most survivors usually get it. It's the reason I hate facing Plague. Her whole power relies on people who don't understand her. 1 person who doesn't can bring a team down of people who do. It's pretty depressing. I think she should get the Doc treatment, personally.
-
@TheAntiSanta said:
Survivors that insist on "Never Cleanse Against The Plague" need to be punished. This is why the Entity created Dwights that Cleanse for literally no reason.
Also, you're forgetting Black Incense Plague is a thing that can happen, and you're not always better off avoiding Cleansing every match.
Against that, force her power, then let her have aura reading for the rest of the game. If you pressure gens heavily and keep yourselves in a good position to chase, you likely wont die. But that takes a team who are somewhat coordinated, meaning that Plague STOMPS solo's with that. Just another example of why she needs a rework.

yep thats what Im doing every time on this map. Once you go inside a room you have 80% chance to die right there
Yep, that's also what I'm also abusing.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Ok but do you cleanse when her initial corrupt fountain is still up?
Still no, unless I wanna force it in a SWF. I try to get my team to spread out so she can't snowball upon the first activation. It works really effectively.
-
Try enjoying Solo Queue when you're with a team who constantly cleanses against Plague (even if she's not got her power in any of the pools) and you'll know why people hate it. ;)
-
@animalmak said:
If I’m playing solo, I won’t cleanse unless my team does. I’m fine playing with one health state, and I run Resilience a lot anyway.
However, if I’m playing with my friends as a 4man, at some point during the game one of us will say “shall we make this game interesting?” And then we start constantly cleansing and it becomes absolute chaos and so much fun.
Ye, that's fine if it's SWF I can get that. But when you die cause of someone doing it in solo's... Really sucks.
-
Yeah, facing good survivors sucks sometimes, especially when you're learning killers. I remember back when I used to learn Spirit, I faced SWF pretty much every game (always asked, and they always said yes). It ended with me becoming an UBER sweat. It boosted my skill a LOT, but it also sucked out the fun since every game became easy.
Honestly, if there's 1 or 2 good survivors, it's bad, but when there's a TEAM of them, it can get super obnoxious lol. I feel your pain man.
-
Really? In most my games I see them following me to a gen, then pressuring another. But I'll keep an eye out for it from now on.
-
@ayaya said:
Dude there are red ranks that don't know what a Borrowed Time is and stay in the basement and you think they will have an elaborate strategic thinking like no cleansing? LUL
For me it's easy. You cleanse I go and die to suicide on the hook. Enjoy the rest of the ruined match
My new method now.
I'm just going to yeet myself out of the game.

@blue4zion said:
Spirit is the most fun to play against.
Indoor maps are really fun as survivor.
Autodidact is extremely helpful and possibly even OP.
Noed is perfectly fine how it is, it's the survivors who refuse to cleanse that make it terrible.
Agreed with all aside indoor maps one. I only like Lerys and The Game.
For mine, Plague is broken. Not in an OP way, but broken as in her power is unhealthy, it's controlled by survivors, and her power relies on the team as a whole to play it right, not 1 survivor like other killers. I find her completely unhealthy.
-
@KingFrost said:
If all the gens in an area are finished, I'll cleanse. If Plague wants to travel to an area without gens to get a temporary power, then more power to her.
Even then, I can understand in endgame, but what if someone runs her there, and she takes her ability and gets an easy kill? And you'll only be infected in about a minute of cleansing. It's just not worth it even then. Endgame is the only somewhat understandable scenario.
-
@Freesham said:
At least now Plague starts with a corrupt pool by default. Literally being unable to use part of her power because survivors control Plague being able to use it is kind of annoying.
Bad design. She should have a rework where she's able to control her power, but survivors aren't punished by their teams' errors. How? Idk. But she should have a rework of that level.
-
@RayrafLPP said:
I always cleanse. Its not fun doing generators. However killer interaction is. Dodging plagues vomit and stunning her out of her corrupt purge is more fun then "oh dont cleanse just rush gens" Also the killer has a power wich can be denied by survivors what imo is a dumb design.
The dumb design is also that it relies on the TEAMS. Plague crushes solo survivors. No offence, but if you were on my team, I would probably lose my ######### over it. Also, considering that most maps are open, it's very hard to dodge her. There's literally no interaction against a good Plague, dunno what you're on about. You'll only last remotely well on maps like Lerys.

@Mister_xD said:
she starts with a corrupted fountain now, so not cleansing can be worse than cleansing (sometimes)
though i wont be the one who starts the whole cleansing stuff - ill do it in endgame / when the team is going down like nothing anyway and there is more profit in being healthy and going for hook rescues, though thats it.
i will start cleansing however once someone else cleansed, as that person is going to cleanse whenever they can anyway, so staying infected, loud and broken is just a huge disadvantage at that point.
Nah actually, soak up the downs for that first go, spread out so she can't use Infectious Fright to slug you all and play it safe for the minute. That's the SMART thing to do, most people just go and cleanse for the ExTrA HeAlTh StAtE. You could also force it on her if you've got a good SWF team.

It was, he literally killed the whole team. If there's potatoes like this in R1, then ima become a Plague main for the effortless games.
-
@Orion said:
Their logic might be "If everyone can cleanse and corrupt all her pools, they all become clean and she only gets one activation of Corrupt Purge".
Before I get people jumping down my throat about how I'm killing everyone by cleansing, let me just say that this is only my guess at why other people do it. Let me say that again, other people do it and I'm trying to understand why they (people who are not me) do it.
Cue a reply from someone who ignores the second paragraph for the sake of comedy.
See, that's reasonable, but she literally used it up at the start of the game. He had no reason to cleanse. He didn't even try to stop after either.
-
@Nurgling7 said:
The best cleansers are those who immediately follow up cleansing with jumping on an infected generator or unhooking a broken Survivor.
I hope that 5 seconds of being healthy was worth it.
That's exactly what the Dwight did. I wish Plague wasn't so damn team reliant.
@GodDamn_Angela said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1373093#Comment_1373093
Same here, mostly.
I avoid cleansing until someone else cleanses, and then it becomes a free for all. Its also kind of funny when the survivor who cleansed first gets downed by Corrupt Purge every time.
Fun fact, this man hid in corners and evaded her while watching the rest of us die. He also kept cleansing after touching a gen.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Honestly, I dont understand either. Because giving her the Corrupt Purge is not worth the Healthstate someone gets from cleansing.
However, I cleanse myself if other people are doing that. But it is most likely a lost game at this point.
I don't even cleanse even then. Clearly I'm the idiot here, for thinking my team would get the hint and play it properly. I'm just going to be a complete pessimist from now on and suicide or cleanse if they do it twice.
-
@Boss said:
Then you'll never understand.
I'm just going to suicide on hook if someone does that from now on, because now I can understand why people actually suicide on hook. Some teams literally kill each other against killers that rely on the team as a whole to play well.

Thanks for your respond.
I have some questions. Why using Iron will when we have solidarity?
(Why using empathy if I use blood pact?
I think it's empathy, bond or blood pact? They are the same perks no?)
Edit : sorry for these parentheses, I read "you need empathy" and no "you won't need" sorry lol
For my over builds, the last one I used which is very good to escape :
Lithe, Danse with me, quick and quiet and iron will
For tanking :
Mettle of man, Breakout, Inner strength and Soul guard
For generators :
Repressed alliance, Better together, Poised (or Prove Thyself) and Sprint Burst
I use Iron will since I like to make distance while in a chase, and Iron will helps when you lose LoS, it can really disorientate killers. Plus I made a promise to never forget to run it, for an old reason.
Also, I'll try the builds, thanks a lot!

To me, most console players seem spoiled. The ones who weren't there from the start on PC don't know how bad it used to be.
- Entity never blocked abused windows
- There were 2x-3x more windows and pallets
- The killer shack had 2 windows and 1 door
- The bus had both windows open
- The car shop had 3 windows side by side
- The Nurse moved at 115% movement speed
- Unrelenting affected both missed and succesful attacks, and stacked with Save the Best for Last
- Moonlight offerings made the match extremely dark (you think Blendette now is bad..?)
- Map offerings came in different rarities and none of them were 100% chance of working
- The Bloodweb only gave 1 perk per level
- The Bloodweb animation took way longer and it took ages to spend Bloodpoints
- The only clothing options were base and Prestige
- Exhaustion recovered while sprinting
- There was only one spot that Survivors could unhook from, and Killers could there to completely prevent unhooking (the OG "Face Camp")
- Sabotaged hooks remained broken for the entire match, as did the Trapper's traps
- More, I'm sure, but cannot remember right now...
Console players got literally screwed by low FPS. And I know, since I was originally an XBOX DBD player.
-
Hm, you wont need Empathy if you're happy with Blood Pact. I wouldn't take an exhaustion perk in that slot, my healing build is usually Empathy, Solidarity, Autodidact and Iron Will. For the last slot, try using Iron Will or even maybe Borrowed Time? That's the perk I usually switch my Iron Will out for if I'm in a SWF. Or even DS if you get tunnelled.
Exhaustion perks aren't needed in healing builds, you could, but they're not that good tbh. I much prefer Iron Will or Borrowed Time. Iron Will to juke, and gain distance by losing LoS, and Borrowed to sacrifice myself to give people escapes.
Also, mind recommending me some builds? I'm all out of juice rn, and I'd love to try some of yours.

Nah, I bet it's because of the fear of DS.

The reason you don't have issues is likely because killers fear DS. I remember I was basically tunnelled every single game before the DS rework.
