They introduced this nonsense right after they made ever original character cosmetic available with Iri Shards. A total sham to try to squeeze money out of those people that were willing to wait till they've grinded enough or an eventual sale (which presumably won't happen with these limited time items like they will any of the older seasonal outfits, because BHVR just bringing them back next year is reason enough to buy them, you shouldn't be greedy and expect yesterday's news to be 10% off).
-
I can't believe they did this more than once. Dead by Daylight community needs to get better at backlash when BHVR does something scummy like this. I'm glad I already lost interest in playing this game, because I don't want to give anything to a company pulling this garbage.
-
Think I'm gonna stick to P1ing the newest characters, and then getting Tier 2 and 3 through the Bloodwebs of characters I play often enough, unless the new perks are really good or really funny.
-
Bruh, no Killer that waits out BT now, is going to be waiting out the 5 second basekit Endurance in this release. These are monsters that know what the perks are. They're going to assume you 100% have Off The Record (which you will, don't lie, you're complaining on the forums about Meta Perks Nerfs, we see you) and smack you at their earliest convenience to just get the Endurance effect over with.
-
I'm pretty sure those hiding challenges you can do throughout the whole match. Couple seconds here, a couple seconds there. Easy peasy. The "while injured" ones just got harder, because Iron Will nerf, but it's not as hard as herding cats towards basement and hoping no one gets salty and DC's.
-
Survivors Actually Start Bringing Totem Finding Perks Challenge 2021, let's go. I mean, c'mon, we just got info from the devs that says two of the Top Three Most Used Killer Perks are Hexes. It's almost never going to be a waste of a slot to bring something that lets you find totems with ease.
-
No, I don't remember that time, because all those perks you mentioned were already in the game when I started playing at the end of 2018.
-
Everyone trying to act like this is only Baby Killers Crying. Forgetting there's 7 new Killer Only Challenges that went live this week, and some people will not be able to start cracking away at those till this weekend. Sorry, kids, but the challenge is hooked 12 DIFERENT survivors, and just letting the loop god get away to chase the 3 other brain deads I already hooked, isn't getting me progress on this thing I spent Ten Bucks on. "Just play better than you would had to play, if you were here on a work day," is worthless advice.
-
Can we at least wait till someone's had enough time to actually learn how to use his ability, before we determine whether it's any good or not?
Also, survivors not seeing you when in a Loop is a GOOD thing.
-
Face Campers aren't playing to win, they're playing to punish other human beings for existing. A timer freeze would just give them more joy.
-
Survivors that insist on "Never Cleanse Against The Plague" need to be punished. This is why the Entity created Dwights that Cleanse for literally no reason.
Also, you're forgetting Black Incense Plague is a thing that can happen, and you're not always better off avoiding Cleansing every match.
-
Less Killers would do this kind of camping, if survivors would just do gens and stop rushing in to die to it.

The issue is: it's inconsistent with the entire game.
BBQ and Pop are the most common killer perks since ruin nerf, making his power not activate Pop makes him a trash tier killer. "hurdur but you can just hook people" so, I must not use part of his power in order to use the perks? What is the point?
DS, BT, We'll Make It and Deliverance are perks that you see all the time and they are literally useless against this killer. It's not hard to imagine a build with all this 4 perks. My Claudette, for instance, usually runs DS + BT + We'll Make It. Hell yeah, playing with 1 perk!
You also must not use part of his power in order to use the power. Any survivors that pull a Survivor out of the cage, will lose their Tormented state, and you'll have to Torment them all over again. You can't just mindlessly Cage people, or you'll be unable to cage them later, when you actually need to cage them. Gotta' be strategic with it. Sometimes that'll mean getting a hook, and that's when you can use your big boy meta perks, if you really think as Killer that can avoid many of the most Meta Survivor Perks, really needs to be able to use BBQ or Pop every single time hook happens.
-
Oh.... now I understand why I keep facing survivors just chillin' in the basement for no reason (Legion Main, I see you down there) or using Hawkin's Offerings (guess they didn't have any The Game Offerings).
-
If we're using cursed Monkey's Paws and breaking the laws of what's actually possible in this video game (or even what makes financial sense, cause why would you pay for a license no one cares about), give me a Puppet Master chapter. I don't know, give us when of the Human Sized Antagonists that commanded the Puppets, and have that character send out the Puppets as like unique Traps or AI Controlled minions.
-
They quite clearly changed the way one of The Legion's trophy's worked on PS4, back when they last did a major fiddling with their ability.

people defending doors being seen and camped from across the map have never played a balanced game
this thread is gross to read
Balancing a 4v1 game so that you have just as high a chance of success in a 1v1 situation as you would in the 4v1 situation is not good balance. Life should get harder, not easier, when you've lost more than half your team.

Fun of chases? Earn more points? Give everyone a fun time? Learn how to track and chase survivors better?
I dont know how people enjoy just sitting around hooks all game. It’s not very interactive.
Survivors don't care about giving the Killer a fun game. In fact, most survivors I play against, actively want to ensure the Killer has a real bad time. Survivors get what they deserve.

Can we see the videos of this happening consistently?
We've all seen videos of killers decimating in minutes, but it isn't proof that they need nerfing.
A even slightly less good player would not have gotten the 3k.
And even when we still do manage to get those kills, “Just cause the gens popped, doesn’t mean the game is over,” does us no good when we are trying to do these stupid challenges before the Rift closes, and We can’t because Survivors are doing this garbage.
-
I don’t complain about DS being used to stop tunneling.
I do complain when DS is used by survivors to do heinous criminal acts.
-
It's not failure. They brought in this perk, explicitly because they wanted to play in the End Game. Just like all the zero skill, no set up required perks that Survivors use to escape in situations they would not have escaped otherwise. Like getting a decisive strike on the killer, and unhooking all their friends before the killer gets unstunned, and escaping out of the exit gates. Or putting yourself between the killer and the guy that just unhooked you, because he had Borrowed time, and escaping out the exit gates. Or using their unbreakable, to pick themselves back up, and unhook multiple survivors in the last second, and escape out of the exit gates. They didn't fail, they did exactly what they planned to do when they took that perk into battle. The only difference is that Survivors can stop NOED by doing a couple measly totems and get rewarded for doing it. On the Killer side, your only option is tunneling and slugging and camping early on, to try to force the one time perks to be used up before end game collapse, and you'll be punished for your trouble.
-
Swearing non-stop when the game just decides I need to fight nothing but Red Rank Survivors. My throat is so messed up, right now.
-
Oh no, I would never give an "immersed" player the hatch.
-
Despite what people who are wrong keep demanding in the forums, there's nothing that says you have to just sit there and watch as this guy do the scummy thing. You can always ######### on hook, and not waste your own time like that. You don't owe anything to your fellow survivors, to keep the bad killer at bay.
-
I swear to Batman, if they keep giving us Grab Challenges, while this is still an issue, I'm gonna be really upset.
-
Yea-to-the-Haw is why I'd play Deathslinger over Huntress.
-
Imagine thinking "justice warrior stuff" has no place in horror. Imagine it. Like, c'mon, the best horror movies have always been about that "justice warrior stuff."
-
I'm at 10, right now.
Nurse, Spirit, Legion, Hag, Trapper, Wraith, Ghost Face, Doctor, Plague, and Nightmare, in that order.
But I really only get these when there's like, a lot of not great survivors running around, making it much easier to do. Like, those last three (Doctor, Plague, Nightmare), I got in back-to-back-to-back games, right when this 2nd Rift opened up, just because some people that hadn't played in a long while, were jumping back in, and trying to do various random tasks that weren't exactly helpful for winning. Also all playing at lower rank, where it's easier to get a double pip.
-
"a power that should be earned"
Not sure I'd say waiting for the survivors to do something they never do, constitutes something you should have to earn.
-
You needed to die. There is no other reason.

Why do you think it got harder for killer? Just because they changed a perk that was cleansed within 30 seconds anyway?
It sounds like it isn't something that should have changed all that much, but the speed of matches has clearly changed drastically. Like, matches where the Killer did not use old Ruin, were never over as fast as matches are now. Survivors just don't give a ######### anymore, and just get on those gens from second 1.
-
I assure you, all my Toxicity as Killer is do to matchmaking being busted. The DC Penalties changed nothing about how I am playing.
-
I’m scared. Guess it’s time to unlock Frankie’s on all killers.
-
Look at all these people that have never played Trapper in their lives, outing themselves.
-
I mean, was it ever supposed to fix everything? I thought this was just some garbage that people on these forums and twitter and reddit wouldn’t stop demanding, so the Devs has no choice but to implement.
-
They're there, but you'll never face them, because matchmaking is busted, and they're too busy killing brown rank survivors that shouldn't be getting matches with them.
-
That's how they make money, they're not gonna skip a release.
-
Can we nerf a toxic survivor perk into the ground, before we go after another toxic killer perk, please? Maybe one that has a much higher usage number, than NOED? Y'all just got the perk that made matches last more than 10 seconds taken away, and now you're coming for the perk that Killers need if the game takes less than 10 seconds. Get out of my face with this garbage.
-
It exists, because survivors deserve nothing but death.
-
Decreasing map size will help a bit, but without using slow down perks and add-ons, the gens will still pop too fast. Like, the Asymmetrical Aspect of the game, means no matter how well designed the maps are, you'll still find yourself in situations where you are interacting with one player, while three other players are hard at work on objectives, completely out of your control.
-
I mean, you got the loss of blood points and emblem for standing next to a hooked survivor and getting less hooks.
And as the survivor that isn't hooked/tunneled, you can punish the ever living ######### out of the killer by just doing gens while they're sitting over there doing nothing.
-
Wait, you actually get Purple Killers in Purple Ranks? I only get Brown Killers in Purple Ranks. Who let you have the good match making?
-
Not anymore. I turned off messages for anyone but friends. Mostly because (unrelated to DBD) I was getting too many spam bots telling me how to hack my PS4.
-
The Creeper's the only one I'd really be disappointed in seeing. That dude still owns the character, so there's no security blanket of "focus on the art, man, who cares if the person behind the art was a bad person?" He'll make money on it.
Plus, like, the Creeper is kind of lame anyway. Winged Batman that sleeps most of the time and has try hard ninja throwing stars? Hard pass.
Everything else, no whatever, fine, I don't care. If the character is something I don't care for, I'll just play them. I won't be salt for them adding it. (course, if I learn of any other creators that also did awful things, are still alive, and would profit off of the characters inclusion, feel free to add that to the list of Never Do This).
-
Or worse, you didn't escape or get all the kills and you depiped and got barely any blood points, because you used a toxic strat that ruined someone (or everyone) else's enjoyment of them game.
-
I mean, if you get all the kills or escaped, but your depiped and got barely any blood points, cause you used some toxic strat, did you even really win the game?
-
Nah, survivors deserve what they get.
-
I mean, with matchmaking a screwed up as it is right now, it's not like dropping to the "Rank You Deserve" is going to stop Killers from having to play matches against people they need Ruin to play against.
-
I mean, Overwatch has too large of a player base, for them to have issues matching people with the wrong rank or people ranking up beyond what they should be (without teaming up with other people who are really good and boosting them to the big leagues, which happens all the time in Overwatch). Also, it's ranking system isn't based simply on how well you do in a match, but also who you're doing well against.
-
On the last Live Q&A, they said there was a glitch that registers "Some" Killers as being higher rank than they actually are, and that they wouldn't be able to fix it before the Holidays were over.
