I heard that there might be a Stranger Things chapter coming to dead by daylight. It’s on YouTube.
I hope not.

Don't mention that woman to me. I HATE Kate.
But I LOOOOOVE Quentin, Tapp and Bill
McScuse me? How dare you insult my wife?

Ugh please. Now a chapter is considered an individual survivor or a killer.
It would be cool if we could see Demogorgon as the killer.
-
they could also pair this with iron will

ha, i got a lot of downvotes on my "why does everyone like dwight so much" post. i miss them along with the LOL button.

It IS just virtual cosmetics, none of them have any gameplay impact so they can charge any amount.
yes, but, for someone that actually enjoys the cosmetics and plans to spend on them, the prices should be reduced. it's idiotic that someone has to spend $10 on one skin.
-
yeah, as what @Milo said, the perk could reduce the cooldown in all tiers and keep the distance at 20 meters across all tiers.
but then again, it shouldn't be dependent on the killer's tr. or it should work in a chase, idk.

the creepiest thing in this game is nea and claudette coming out of the darkness and tier 1 myers. that reminds me too, the killer animations really need some work. I hate how when a killer misses or hits an object and it looks derpy. I would like to see the killer jerk viciously forward when missing like there's some real rage and emotion behind the swings. right now the real psychological terror is being a low rank killer facing an swf.
don't forget prayer beads spirit

What about each time a generator is completed, a few gens are blocked off for, let's say, 10 seconds?

@Elk said:
So complicated as killer mechanics wise, but it would be so worth it! She sound so fun and i like the survivor a lot! Great job.
Thank you! The concept of her is to go underground and grab survivor's instantly, similar to spirit but without a duration.
The survivor was a random choice, and I know that a lot of people had been requesting an old lady for a survivor.

Does the drawback even work??

I really like the originality for the killer and the idea, I'm not sure how the power could work on maps like Gideon's Meat Plant with there being a bottom floor. But this one had some charm to it. The killer feels like some old creepy urban legend. This one is cool
Thanks! She uses her power to completely disappear into the ground, so basically she would sink into the top floor of the Gideon MP if the player decided to sink on the top floor, and same with the second floor. This also applies to other maps with locations that own two floors.
Thanks for reading! :)

I just assumed lol, but with VolantConch's help, I can adjust the numbers a bit.
Thank you @VolantConch1719! I will gladly take your information. :)

They could add Brenda Meeks. I think this could be a cool addition. I didn't make this it is on reddit.

Currently, I've spent at least 40+ dollars on Auric Cells. All of them went to Kate.
I still don't have all of her cosmetics yet, and I'm not spending anymore. I need 400 to get her Morning Daze shades but I'm not spending $5 on a head that I'm gonna get bored with in the next 2 days.
This needs to be changed. Maybe we could buy 10 auric cells for 10 cents, 100 for $1, and so on. If not, then I totally agree with having the prices changed, because that's what I desire the most.
-
Maybe..
Monstrous Shrine (uncommon/rare/very rare)
Your desired form of sacrificing has offered The Entity to switch basement locations.
Each time a survivor is downed within a 32/36/40 meter range of the Killer Shack or Main Building, the basement will switch locations and spawn within one of those areas.
Basement locations will not change indoors.
Survivors in the basement when the basement switches will immediately switch locations as well.
Grants an extra 20% faster Entity progression rate on basement hooks.
This is so that the basement can spawn wherever you like it to spawn if it's within range.

I'd say it's because purple perks are powerful alone, like PGTW or Ruin, but green ones usually become powerful with synergies with other perks, like Spirit Fury + Enduring.
that makes sense as well, but some purple perks need to rely on others.
-
On reddit, I mentioned Hope in a "perk buff list", this is what I came up for it.
Each time a generator is completed, gain a 7% speed boost for 6/8/10 seconds. When the EGC is initiated or the last generator is complete, gain a permanent Haste effect of 7% until you escape or die.
This also synergizes greatly with Poised.
-
@PigNRun said:
I think they base perk rarity based on how useful/popular they think they will turn out. And, to be fair, in most cases, they have been correct. Enduring's case, see it this way. When it was added, there was little use for it. No DS, much less even SF. Comparing it to Hillbilly's other perks, Lightborn (back when flashlights were far more powerful) and Tinkerer (made add-ons more efficient), Enduring was weaker compared to the rest.
Taking Spirit's case as another example, if memory doesnt fail me, people really underestimated SF when it came out. Wouldnt be surprised the same thing happened with devs. People would say "Break 2 pallets? Meh.", as well as "Oh my, I can trap my hex totems now! YAY!" and "Free mori! OP!". And how different that is to the current consensus.
Same thing goes for Huntress, LF, Myers, Pig, Nurse, Hag, Freddy, Doctor and a bunch of Survivors. The only odd ones out are probably Legion (Discordance being largely underrated, and Iron Maiden being designed as THE counter to the patch's main change, like Jeff's), Nea (my guess BL was rated as green because we had even less maps with high enough drops), Plague (overhype from devs thinking Dark Devotion would be the best mindgame perk) and Monstrous Shrine (maybe because basement appeared to be especially dangerous, though the perk was never good in the first place).
Thanks for the explanation! To me, its funny when a perk is highly underestimated at launch but a few months later it's meta or something like that. BL could've also been underrated due to tiers 1 & 2 of the perk before the buff happened, and as you said, some maps didn't have high drops.
-
@NurseMainBTW said:
I think they are... just like that. Every survivor/killer (except Laurie/Myers) have at least one green perk.
Same thing about the general perks, they were just picked randomly.
That's weird. Sole Survivor should be a green perk imo.
The rarity of perks should depend on how strong they are.
-
@BlowHard74728 ah, okay
@AntiJelly i see the point you're getting to. also, why isn't the grind reduced by now? it's absolutely idiotic that it hasn't been reduced at all.
-
@BlowHard74728 how would it be more trouble?
@Dehitay that's true, i was thinking of that
-
This sounds cool, but 65 seconds for an aura? What?
His perks & the survivor should be on there too.
-
upvote bc i agree with you.
-
How every unbalanced item/bug takes so. damn. long. to fix.
-
Kate. Kate. And Kate.
Sorry, I'm obsessed with her. I personally think she is as she originally was supposed to be released with LF. The game takes a lot of inspiration from TCM, so I thought she could've been the main protagonist based on the inspiration.
I sound crazy lol
-
A buff for Plague could be if a survivor is broken by her sickness they're insta-downed instantly if they don't cleanse for a certain amount of time.
A buff for Clown could be an extra Hindered effect.
Overall, Plague is in a bad spot right now and needs a buff, but Clown is in a decent spot but still needs a buff or two.

Oh my god, yes please. I had that as a kid, such a throw-back. They would be wasting an opportunity to use nostalgia as a business tactic if they don't do this.
They already wasted an opportunity.
They were able to get the rights for the Scream franchise but they went their own route and only got the license for the mask and went with their own original path.
If it wasn't for their amount of creativity, we could've had the real Ghostface.

So, here is my little contribution. If anyone wanna make full timeline, give me some credit.
Some markers I found in survivors bios:
Jake Park - wifi was mentioned. So, Jake at very least is somewhere between 1998 and now.
Claudette Morel - online forums were mentioned. So, 2000-now. Not really helping, sadly...
Dwight Fairfield - I'll put him somewhere near Claudette, I guess. 2000-now. Nothing more precise could be said about him from his lore: his wristwatch are simple and regular, pizza delivery job and mentions of american footbal can't help much.
Nea Karlsson- again, nothing really precise. There are some mentions of skateboards, but it don't really give us much. i'll say, tho, that skateboards in USA were most popular somewhere at 1960-s. And also, we know that Nea dissapeared when he dared to leave her tag on Crotus Prenn Asylum. This must take place AFTER events of Nurse. So, there is slight chance, that Nea was taken from the farthest time period from us.
Laurie Strode - Let's put her somewhere near first movie, in 1978. Halloween is the one series, which was remade plenty of times, you don't really want make parallels between Laurie-DbD and Laurie from movie.
Ace Visconti - we know that he is from Argentina and he is a gambler. I did a little research and found out that 1990-s marked a great development in the gambling industry of Argentina. In this decade, the then-present administration started licensing land-based casinos and other gambling facilities within the country. But, each province is tasked with its own view and laws of gambling within the length and breadth of the province. Its not really helping, but, well, atleast something...
William 'Bill' Overbeck - according to lore of L4D he died somewhere in 2009.
Feng Min - her T-shirt is from 2016 Tournament. Pretty accurate.
Quentin Smith - he is from 2010, according to movie release date.
David Tapp - according to the first Saw, he died in 2004. Again, I'll use movie release date.
Jeff Johansen - he connected with Legion in his lore, but he arrived in Entity realm later than Legion did. So, I'll put him somewhere around 2000.
Sadly, can't really find something, like, anything important in David King, Meg, Adam, Kate, Jane and Ash's bios.
I edited the whole topic. Feel free to check it out! <3

I'm assuming Ash was taken in 2018 because that's the year the show ended. Just a thought from me
Damn, does the game take place in 2019?

Yeaaaaa... Nope.
I agree with you, however, some changes make sense & are required (looking at you, item bloodpoint reduction rates)
Honestly, these are some pretty good patch changes. I liked everything except for the perk removals/syringe/mori/toolbox removals.
The part I loved the most & could see coming to the game is lowering the prices of all add-ons & increasing the amount of perks per bloodweb. We really need to lessen the grind and there are multiple ideas for that: a trading system, cheaper items, smaller bloodwebs, etc. But overall, this was pretty good. :)
Btw, why 3.5.0? Why not 3.1.0 or something like that? I think 3.5.0 will be sometime around Chapter 15.

ohhhh kk, thx for an explanation <3 sorry if i came off as harsh, i was hangry at the time

No....... shes the killer that was implemented to take on SWF and the cream of the crop.... the only time itll be okay to make changes to her is when the team finally takes care of the maps...... and the objective to where it's not possible to end a game in 4mins or less... then she can be toned down maybe just a tiny tiny bit....... it's also difficult because in her current state she does something that the majority of characters dont do...... reward for playtime...... also shes still next to unplayable on console.
okay this is unrelated to the topic but why do you type like "This...."?
i swear i see everyone do that and it's so frustrating, what is there to be dramatic about?
whenever i read stuff in that format i always picture the person saying that pausing right after they speak, waiting 10 seconds, talking again, etc.
-
yeah, and it could be titled: "rin: her backstory" or something like that. i wanna get some more lore/info about her through "flashbacks" the characters have about her or something like that lol
-
i think delusion would become meta. i would pray for a perk like this to enter the game without being modified heavily (example: people wanted a perk for a survivor to have a terror radius, dd came out and people hate it)
however, i could suggest that 1/2/3 generators are fake at the beginning of the match and when one of them is completed the rest of the fake gens will return back to normal, just to increase the chances of a fake generator going off
everything else is good tho <3
-
oof i need some tips on how to loop/juke/escape a chase (i'm on console, have 500+ hours in the game, but still can't do none of these things). also, these tips can be helpful for newer players
- when a survivor is downed, immediately go into a locker, or hide behind a non-completed generator so in case the killer does have bbq they won't see you (or just run distortion)
- try not to repair the same gen with everyone. if the killer finds yall, yall are vulnerable and can get killed fast
- do not throw down the shack pallet that fast. someone else needs to use it and it definitely won't be you
- do not attempt to escape the hook. do not let go just as someone is right in front of you to save you. try to stop struggling when its only you & someone else left
-
this also happens when gf hits a survivor. i think it's a new dramatic effect the devs added in
-
Spirit. It's either her backstory or how meta/good she is.
Either way, she's a really fun killer to play as.

i had an idea a while ago about knock out. but i didn't post it.
the idea is about a tiny rework that would make knock out better
- knock out removes the screaming sounds caused by the survivor when downed
- the HUD status of the downed survivor will stay in his previous status (the health state he had before he was downed) for 5/10/15 seconds to every survivor who is more than 16 meters away from him when he's downed
- Survivors need to be within 16/24/32 meters of the downed survivor is order to see his aura
- Knock out becomes a HEX perk
How about..
The trauma caused by your brutal attacks makes crying for help painfully difficult.
Knock Out causes the following effects:
- Reduces the survivor's downed scream by 100%.
- The status of the downed survivor will stay in their previous status for 15 extra seconds.
- Survivors further than 16/14/12 meters of the downed survivor will not see their aura.
OR
The trauma caused by your brutal attacks makes crying for help painfully difficult.
Knock Out is a token-based perk. Each time you down a survivor, gain a token.
2 Tokens: Survivors outside of 24/20/16 meters of the downed survivor will not see their aura.
3 Tokens: Downing a survivor will reveal any survivors' auras if they are in your terror radius.
5 Tokens: Survivors are not notified of status changes.
There. It's valuable enough to not be a Hex perk, and good enough to be a green perk.

If this question doesn't have an answer, feel free to answer the other one.
Will the next chapter be a CHAPTER? It isn't a "chapter" if you only release a killer or a survivor.
If that question wasn't answerable, then...
What's the point of nerfing something that wasn't even good to begin with? Instead, you should BUFF those buff-needing items instead of nerfing them out of nowhere. An example would be Boil Over. Yes, it wasn't nerfed, but it's in desperate need of a buff or a rework.
-
Uhh.. I'm a rank 10 killer on Xbox too, and I'm having the same issues as you.
I'm done playing this bullsht for today considering matchmaking is terrible, Ghostface is getting on my nerves, and I can't do sh*t as survivor. I keep getting killed and it's not worth playing.
