  • I will do like Uma and just make sure to kill Bill.

Also slug the one of the last two survivors like always.

  • @KillermainBTWm8 @TAG Thanks. I do it with him and Pig but I need something all killers can do. Maybe nod their heads?

  • That was one of my favorite things in Dead by Daylight :-(

I will find another way to assert dominance over the survivors

  • That's what you get for trying to be friendly with the prey! I hope it have served you as a lesson.

I have too many BPS as killer, I don't use them for principle.

As a killer, I love it when I get to kill first the survivor that offered BPS.

It fills me with joy the rare times when two or more survivors offer BPS and I offer an Ebony Mori. Those are like seeing a double rainbow :-D

@RoKrueger I was just wondering. Considering Stranger Things is an ongoing trilogy, I’d thought it’d be right to ask.

EDIT: I prefer Nancy over Steve, lol.

I know. I was just messing around :-P

Good question. I guess it will all depend on how good the sells of this DLC will be.

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. Teachables exist.

I know. But statistically speaking, Bill is more likely to have that perk equiped than any other survivor

  • That will become my new favorite survivor's perk :-)

As a killer I will now make sacrificing Bill a top priority.

  • I don't understand that demand for more outfits for Steve when it's obvious that the only thing you want is just SHIRTLESS STEVE

  • When I camp it is because the rest of the survivors are all around me pointing at me demanding me to leave.

Hahaha. The perk could give you a whole extra minute for all I care. If those "saviors" are not going away to do gens, I am not going away either.

i have around 100. Opened them around christmas, but not all of them are bad tho :P around 70/30 salt/praise.

    Congrats.

Oh. I delete the praises, they don't go well with the rest :-P (I thank the person that praise me and tell them I will delete it)

  • Good job!

I collect "Salt trophies" too. After a year I have gathered 200 of them :-) (I count as one when the same survivor leaves me more than one in a row).

    How many do you have?

  • A couple. The most memorable was when I found the survivor using the box, she went away so I crouched and blocked it. Must have been the last one she had to check because she keeped pointing at me until her head bursted open :-) OINK OINK.

    What about you @OinkGirlMain ?

  • The Entity does not offer release from pain, just vengance. You wont die, but stay in the state you are now.... forever.

  • Equip Nurse Calling. When you see a survivor healing, phase there and hit them to make them immediately release the contents of their bladders.

And... I don't know, the basics: NOED, Thanatophobia, BBQ, Etc.

  • Add NOED to the mix. My basement is adorned with the bodies of survivors that did not expected NOED on Legion.

Anyone who calls others 'tryhards' and 'sweaty'is actually saying something else. Allow me to translate.

    Tryhard/Sweaty Name-Calling Translation:

'I'm too egotistical to believe anyone can be better than ME. I'm also too good to ever make a mistake. Therefor it was not YOUR skill that beat me. It also was not MY lack of skill that made me lose. Thus, it had to be your OP perks/gun/build/items/loadout and nothing else, ever. Anything else would mean I'm not the utter god of <insert game being played here>.'

This means you can safely ignore, and even laugh at, people who call you 'sweaty', 'tryhard' or other variations. Because they lack the introspection to look at themselves & improve, and thus will always suck, and always make excuses.

This has been a production of Salt Chat Translation Studios, make possible by the salt of angry PvP players in games the world over.

    Great answer! :,-D

  • I used to hate SWF groups too. Later I realised that they tend to be more altruistic than solo players and I started to use that against them.

Now I only dodge when there are two or more streamers in my lobby. I couldn't watch two streams at once! .... If I were the type of person that does that of course.

  • I don't like to hurt and kill Ace because he is a fellow argentinian.

But I will do it anyway. My thirst for blood thriumps against anything else I may feel when I am hunting.

  • It can also be used to stir your coffee

  • You win some, you lose some. I have nothing against keys. You should have targeted the one carrying it.

When I play survivor is very exiting to escape using the key.

  • @OGOzSnowChimp said:

I'll throw a game on purpose to tunnel Ace.

I don't like it when the one that's easier to catch has to be Ace. I don't like to kill him, he is my compatriot after all ;-)

But tunneling is not personal in my case, my objective is to make sure no survivor escapes my hunting ground.

  • I tunnel just to get rid of one survivor early, so the rest become easier to manage. It is nothing personal against that particular survivor (they are all equaly despicable to me)

I try to quickly determine which one of them is the least proficient at handling the chase and go for him/her.

If I fail to chose correctly, I will have lost a lot of time chasing a good survivor.

I never necessarily go for the one who t-bags, as a matter of fact I try to ignore him/her (That cockiness usualy comes with being good at the chase).

An important fact: I don't care about how that tactic makes them feel, just don't be the easier survivor to find and catch and you will be fine.

Finally, there are some games where I don't get to tunnel. If in those games one of the sacrificed acuse me of tunneling, I just let them think that. I like it when they get angry :-)

  • Just equip NOED as a forth perk like we all do ;-)

  • It is not fun to get your totem cleansed and going against good survivors hitting great skillchecks anyway.

I use Thanatophobia instead, it slows down during all the match. Unlock it at Nurse's bloodweb, you don't have to play as her, just throw your points at her web...naughty ;-)

  • Any change to the blocks would be welcome.

I find myself in the Bloodweb chosing those silly bottles that make the fog.... foggier instead of chosing any block.

We need tutoring killers who play fair for new survivors to learn the ropes of the game before entering the world of tunnelling.

We also need tutoring survivors who don't mock you, flash light spam etc

A new player should be able to access this tutoring mode for the first 15/20 levels of the game so they can learn.

I would volunteer as tutoring killer

Can I be a tutoring killer too? ;-)

Pleaseeee I promise I will behave THIS time!!! I will just hit them while they are hooked....twice! No, wait... only three times and that's it! ..... You know what? Forget it, I don't want to be a tutor anyway

  • I can't be defending camping in EVERY post :-P

Do gens, let one survivor die and the rest will be able to escape.

Those survivors are relentless, swarming the forum like they swarm the hooks.

Is it swarming the only thing you know how to do you little insects?! It does not usualy work with the hooks, it won't work with the forum!

  • @UlvenDagoth said:

Now, I know that i will get a lot of hate for this. If you just want to come in here and yell at me, then be assured i'll ignore you. But I think somewhere in the game, it was forgotten that Killers are supposed to be these strong monstrous beings that are out to kill you by any means necessary. I have been told several times to go kill myself cause I was slightly near a hook someone was on, while all the other survivors were swarming me and/or looping around the hook. I've been told to "go play neck rope instead" cause I "Tunneled" by going after 2 more survivors before coming back to one person. Most games I see that have good Killers (read that as the Top Tier Killers, plus Clown oddly) have been called "Boring" or "No Counter Play" or people just DC instantly cause they don't want a challenge. A Killer has a slight issue? NERF HIM INTO THE GROUND! Killer just came out and is doing good cause people aren't used to him? NERF HIM INTO THE GROUND! I just don't understand this mentality. It's 4 vs. 1 and most act as if the ONE should be handcuffed, bound with rope, and set on fire before being put into the match. Maybe I'm wrong, but any Killer buff I ever see is screamed at like its the end of the world and the game forever and ever AMEN. Go get the pitchforks, cause Stealth Killers can Stealth! Bump up Gen speed even more so Ruin can even more useless, and we can get games we waited for 15 minutes for done in 3 minutes!

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I've just seen the more Toxic side of the community. If you have opinions on this, let's talk in a mature way about it and get some insightful and interesting conversations going about it.

Also, a side thought that I'm not gonna get into much cause it is about SWF and I know that is a can of worms. BHVR, just give me bonus BP based on the amount of SWF people I'm dealing with and I'll be happy. You and I both know you didn't make this game with Comms in mind, just give me a reward for putting up with it till something gets figured out. Thank you for listening.

TL;DR: Killer Main is talking, get the tar and feathers.

"go play neck rope instead" hahaha. That's a good one, very original.

Please my dear killer brother/sister. Enjoy their rant! That's our reward for killing them!

All Those insults and threats, such delightful poetry they make.

The anguished cries of pathetic sore losers is what should motivate us to keep on going, they should not bring you down.

Learn to laugh at them and you will be fine. Never try to reason with them about your lack of tunneling or camping tactics, that's a waste of time. At least when I get called camper or tunneler it is because I did one or both.

I always write "GG" first thing in the chat. If you get a "GG" in response, leave it like that. We are not dicks ;-)

I hope that advice helps you

  • That's why I use Thanatophobia instead of Ruin now, it is more consistent in my opinion.

Also I don't use any other Hex when I equip NOED. I don't want to give the survivors an excuse to break totems, I want them to ignore those... hehehe.

Sure make them have to learn how to counter camping. Like people would rather want to learn how to counter camping instead of just leaving the game. It's not like they want to play games just to have fun.

Like, I really want this game to grow. But new players who get camped a lot will just leave the game. If anything, after the new chapter, we are just left with more killer players. And I don't really enjoy a lobby simulator personally. And you can't blame people for leaving this game if they often play against a camping killer.

We have stayed, haven't we? ;-)

I have got my share of being camped and doing the camping.

As survivor I have to get better at losing the killer or stay hidden.

As killer I have to get matched against survivors that do generators or save efficiently, instead of just staying near the hook signaling me to leave :-P

The moment the mayority of survivors stop being lazy and counter camping effectively, I will stop camping.

I applaud your entusiasm. Maybe you can make a guide to teach survivors how to counter camping. I know I wont ;-)

  • You don't have to justify yourself. Do it because it makes you happy to do it :-D

    Enjoy their suffering

Yes, exactly. But new players won't know how to counter camping. They'll just get camped or face a camping killer, think this game sucks, and leave. Not really favorible prospects for the game.

So your point is that survivors can't be bothered to learn how to counter campers. You stated yourself: It is not very effective at higher ranks.

  • Hahaha. Fresh meat tasted their first MORI and left a salty taste in their mouth. Im glad

  • If that happens to you, just accept that you played poorly and try again.

I know how "in character" some of our community gets. I can only imagine the chat BEFORE the killer kills you. Not saying any names or anything @RoKrueger

Hahaha. Imagine convincing every survivor to offer BPS and you offer an Eboni mori instead. It would be wonderful <3

It would only work a couple of times though.

  • Just buy the DLC if you like the characters. That's why I bought The Nightmare and the....ASH!

With the amount of frustration that game generates, a lot of new players will quit quick.

We were new players once and we are still here, right?

  • Why would I want to ask you anything? ;-)

  • That's the only way survivors have been able to hurt me :-P

    It is frustrating

  • The salt of my enemies sustains me, makes me stronger, faster, sexier ;-)

  • I think the killer should be able to see the survivors in the lobby to prepare. The killer IS the power role after all and information is power.

With just the information gathered from the survivors at the lobby the killer is able to:

Pick a character: Don't play Hag if they are all bringing flashlights for example.

Know how many survivors with the same character and skin will play. That could also help in guessing which perks are more likely to come into play. Laurie = DS.

Know who are friends with eachother to strategize. Friends tend to be more altruistic with eachother in my experience.

See who is streaming the match. Incidentally, the only reason why I dodge a lobby is if there are two or more streamers in it because, HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING, I would not be able to watch two streams at once while efectibly playing the match.

  • That is a preposterous accusation!!!

I can camp with any killer just fine.

  • Do your own tutorial for the contest. Wish you luck!

Meh, I prefer to steamroll a team WITHOUT being an ass. Unfortunately, I also fully expect ppl to make smart decisions against me.

"WITHOUT being an ass". That sounds theoretically comendable. Until you start to wander.... What is an "ass"? Whose definition of "ass" are you going for?

You will always be an "ass" on the enemy's eyes anyway.

    Your options then become:

    1- Not caring

    Or

2- Follow the guidelines written on this book

So, just had a game as Freddy. I managed to down someone near basement, so hooked em up in a prime spot. I then went ahead and placed a snare at the top of the stairs and started another chase. Halfway through the chase, a scream notified me that someone tripped my basement snare. Went ahead and teleported to a gen near the basement to catch some survivors trying to run out, and managed to down both of them due to the unhooker already being injured and the freshly hooked guy apparently not receiving BT. 3 ppl DCed after that with the 4th jumping in hatch.

Endgame chat consisted of being called a camper, tunneler, ect.

    That question is wrong.

Fist of all: Congratulations on your masterful use of Snares. You make us all killers proud, Freddy Mains especially.

You don't have to care if anything you do as a killer is "fairy" play, that's survivor's propaganda in your head!

You do what you want to ensure that no pitiful survivor escapes the trial. Make sure to have fun doing it.

Just don't use hacks or cheats.

At the end, at the chat, rejoice with their lamentations and laugh at their demands of "furry" play.

Close the match and repeat untill satisfied ;-)

  • I am the conservative kind of gamer. I'm up for changes to the music if they want, but not drastic ones like my fellows here ask for

  • We need more perks. Triple the current amount.... at least.... to start

  • I don't complain about gen rushing. Do it, that's what NOED and Blood Warden are for (such sweet perks!).

If you can escape despite all that, I will wish you a sincerely "GG WP"

  • A "Perfect Game" in my book is when all four survivors disconect. They must begin disconecting after the match have been going for a while (not at the start).

Your shiny shards or blood thingy numbers do not impress me. Are you capable of getting as much salt as ME? (I don't have a picture at the moment, please take my word for it).
