@RuneStarr I like your ideas! Here is where we are on both.

    1. This is something that the Community team really does want to make happen. It needs multiple level of approvals within the team and we are currently just drafting the project. Coming up with something like this (or similar) is one of our objectives on a mid-term plan.

    2. We are currently expending the Marketing team here at DBD. The growth of the team will, in time, allow us to communicate better and more strategically about specific subjects and content releases. When it comes to the PTB, granted, it does take away the ''hype part'' but we need the PTB to be happening. It gives us a lot of feedback and allows us to pinpoint issues better before the official launch. I can't wait to see what you have to say about our communication on the upcoming chapter! :)

is there a dev stream tomorrow? pls update the streaming roadmap...

      Look at the last part

" I can't wait to see what you have to say about our communication on the upcoming chapter!  :)"

Sounds to me like they're going to hype this one up a little different perhaps. No wonder they've been so quiet.

I almost wonder if it could be licensed...

Probably not licensed, isn't this killer supposed to be extremely old, like before 1900? Idk. Although, I wouldn't too displeased if it was licensed.

  • I think so. Hopefully, we get a small teaser of the new killer!

  • @Eveline said:
They are afraid to compete with better players so they stay in low ranks. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

The illusion of power. For example, if you went up to a baby and punched it, you may seem to have power over the baby, but it doesn't make you more powerful than you already are. Same thing here, players bully low ranks to make themselves seem more powerful, but they're not. Sort of a weird example, but it gets the point across.

  • I would add a story to DbD. Every game is better with a story! I mean, we already have the basic elements of a story here (Protagonists, Antagonists, and a set universe), but I have a feeling that DbD could be so much more with a story full of detailed events! For example, let's say that a licensed killer comes once a year. Once a year, there could be a date in which a "temporal rift" would open up and connect the DbD universe to whatever new universe would be joining DbD. Sorry if that was confusing at all but yeah...

    And optimization, nuff said

I hope they implement mine. :) There's been a lot of call for it.

    SOLO QUEUE MODE!

I really hope the devs at least consider a few of them. It feels like fan content is so neglected nowadays because it really has no impact on the game. If I were a dev, I would browse through the fan creations section every once and a while just to see what good ideas lie down there.

It's a ridiculously high amount of DCs (like 40% of your games I think). Honestly, devs need to put the hammer down on this stuff. Games like TF2 have a VERY strict DC penalty. I once DCed from a comp game and got banned for a month! I'm not saying penalties that strict are needed, but maybe lower that 40% down a bit to like 15%. If you DC for legitimate reasons, then that's fine, but when it's a repeated ragequit DC, then it should be punished accordingly.

TL;DR: You need to DC a lot before you have a risk of being banned.

No way that you get a 1 month bann for one DC, you dced a lot before that.

    I think it goes like:
    1 DC= 1 day
    2 DCs= 1 week
    3 DC's =1 month
There's no reset for this system at all, so if you DC once and then DC again 1 year from then, you still get the full week punishment. This is just for competitive tho, but it's still a strict punishment system nonetheless.

  • @Eveline said:
    Or not?

Nah. Annoying maybe, but OP? Not really.

Pig coming from Saw gives her such a great opportunity than to do more than what she does. Since she’s primarily a pounce and pray killer, I would like to see her have the following option:

Engine Trap-The Pig sabotages a generator and loses one reverse bear trap. If a survivor fails a skill check on the trapped generator, the trap closes, the survivor is caught and the generator’s progress is reset.
The survivor and struggle to get out of the trap just like the Trapper’s bear traps.

    That would be hilarious af!

  • They need to add a spam filter...

  • I feel like people hate it because it rewards poor performance. I'd just make it so that survivors know the killer has noed when the last gen is popped rather when a survivor is hit. It would give extra warning to the survivors. Also that the NOED totem would be revealed in a small radius so you would have to spend 10 hrs finding it.

  • Adrenaline is fine IMO, I have never seen it being OP considering how situational it is.

As for NOED, I don't think it needs a complete rework. I would make it be revealed when the last gen is popped, not when a survivor is hit. Secondly, the NOED totem aura could be revealed in a small radius once it's active.

Legion would be that character that is able to land a 20 hit combo and have it only do like 40% damage

I sent the entire post to the Event team to see if it can spark a discussion. Thanks for being so active here :)

Would this mean I could possibly, maybe, just a slim piece of a chance that one day I could use the Wonderwaffe in Dead by Daylight? Honestly, that would be a dream come true.

Don't you EVER call me a furry or I will find out where you live, come to your house, and skin you alive.

    First off, good lord.
Secondly, I just want to mention that I can still here the announcer scream "Super Smash Bros, MEEEELLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • I'm never going to stop rooting for Springtrap as a killer and Clementine as a survivor.

But on the idea of Chucky, I would love to see a robot chucky too! Although I'd rather have the OG Chucky over the new one, just cause of it being the first and all.

  • I'm pretty sure there's no shirt for having YouTube red. Can you give a description of what the shirt looks like?

  • Also, to release my COD zombies nerd: "OHHH WHAT A WONDERBAR EVENT! Although, I don't know how my minions might feel about this..." - Dr. Edward Richtofen

  • A Killer vs Killer Competition.

Now, this isn't what you think it is. It would be an event that would take place out of the main gameplay. For example, let's say the competition was "Hag vs. Hillbilly". For the duration of that week, people would either play hag or billy to contribute to the main goal: Who can get the most kills? For the duration of this event (1 week), those who play either hag or billy get a 1.5x bloodpoints bonus to their score. The winner of the event would get a new, cheap, and beautiful cosmetic added to the shop (and maybe it could be free for a limited time). These events might happen once every 4-6 months.

  • I think the devs need to hire you. You always prove a point using facts and statistics. Also, you offer solutions to problems you have with the game (which 70% of people here don't do).

  • This should play during endgame chases when everything is on the line! Nice werk!

    Hex: Devour Hope.

It's best on Wraith, Nurse, Hag, Billy, in my opinion.

Wraith/Nurse/Billy because they can get away from hooks really fast and I find they gain tokens easily, especially Wraith with windstorm addons. Hag because she's a pretty mean totem defender.

I know Billy already has an instadown, but its still funny M1ing them and insta downing them that way. The salt that comes from a Devour Hope billy is hilarious.

Devour Hope is one of my favorite perks and I use it on pretty much everyone. It's decent on all killers to be honest.

    My perk: Monitor & Abuse

M&A, works best on T1 Myers (mainly Scratched Mirror Myers) and Legion. Then Hag to a lesser degree.

Myers, pretty obvious. Staying in tier 1 with M&A makes your TR almost zero outside of a chase. Its perfect for Scratched Mirror, as choosing a map with several LoS blockers (Lery's and The Game), means endless jumpscares.

Legion, mainly because outside of a chase, you look like a Survivor (you may be able to fool some people like this), so a reduced TR does wonders. And the bigger the TR during a chase, the better, as Killer Instinct is more likely to reveal someone nearby. Almost as if Legion was designed to go with M&A.

Hag, mainly because she also has a reduced TR, and she blends in well in most maps. Therefore, another jumpscare Killer, potentially.

    Next perk:

    • Make Your Choice

Freddy by a mile! His inability to camp makes MYC trigger alot more often than you may expect! It promotes an anti-tunnel gameplay too! Other than BBQ and ruin, I would say this is THE BEST perk for freddy.

    Spirit Fury.

I just don't get it. When a new chapter is announced, do people say "oh, screw the characters, ability, concepts, add-ons, gameplay, and perk combos, let's see what cosmetics they got"? I don't see why cosmetics should be the reason we can't get anymore licensed killers.

Glance in the direction of a survivor that has just been unhooked
    DONG!

The way they suddenly fall flat on the floor too, sometimes it's hilarious.

I saw this on reddit, this is what I think of when I think of Dead by Daylight

    https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/ao68z2/fastest_disconnect_in_the_west/

They really need to crack down on DC's more. However, there is a bug that causes survivors to dc in the loading screen. Once that's fixed, they need to put down the hammer.

I like the character, but I don't want this game to get copystriked harder than PewDiePie. My personal picks for licensed characters easily would be Clementine from Telltale's TWD, as well as Springtrap coming in second. That's just my opinion tho.

It's sad that most of the community hates FNAF because mainly the FNAF fan base's toxic community, I heard somewhere on Reddit that a DBD Dev said that she wanted a Fnaf dlc. We can only dream

Yeah, the dev was in a livestream when she was asked "What licensed videogame characters would you want to see?" I'll admit myself that the FNaF fanbase isn't exactly the most desireable one. Atleast the community is aware of their issues. I would love to see Springtrap get into DbD, maybe he'll get a chance when the movie releases. If I had to choose between Clementine or Springtrap, I would probably say Clementine by just a fraction. The community from what I've seen has been plenty accepting of this idea: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/14216/clementine-from-telltales-twd-as-a-survivor.

Mature Clem would probably be the best choice out of all Telltale's walking dead games, she would probably have to be a stand-alone survivor though, but at least she wouldn't be no PC exclusive Bill LOL

As for FNAF, Springtrap is pretty much the only true killer out of all the seen characters, he might be able to have a map but I doubt a survivor will fit considering we have never seen any of the protagonists in the game, I don't know what his weapon would be though.

Yeah, Clementine from the Final Season would be best. She's only 16, but they can bump the age as they did with Laurie. And hopefully she's no PC exclusive :chuffed:

I also think that Springtrap can't really have a survivor with him. There just isn't an overlying protagonist in the series. I think the map for a FNaF themed DLC would be either the location of the first game or the location of the third game. And for his weapon, I was thinking his fist or a fire ax.

I think the FNAF 2 map would work the best. He has never used a weapon so I don't know about that. Maybe his power could have something to do with the phantoms?

It's been speculated that the man possessing Springtrap (Purple Guy) has used objects like screwdrivers and crowbars in the past, so if he ever made it to Dead by Daylight I think a crowbar would suit him the most

    Definitely!

Question to killer mains, survivor mains are welcomed to join in as well. This is completely opinionated for putting killers in tiers but do you guys think that all killers deserve to be S-Tier?

I notice that throughout my ranks I see certain killers more often while others a lot less. Around my rank 20s and 15s I used to see a lot of Trapper, Wraiths especially, sometimes Hag.

Around rank 10 or below I would see Myers, Hillbilly, or Spirit at most.

Around rank 5-8 I would see a mixture of “high tier” killers.

Actually as much as I don’t play killer I play Spirit in my higher ranks while I play Trapper or LF in my lower ranks when rank reset happens.

So do you guys feel as if every killer should be S-Tier? Devs mentioned that not all killers have to be the best like Nurse but they can be more “fun” to play (they made this example with Legion.)

I think B+ to A- would be the best range, so maybe Myers to spirit range.

  • One dev did say in a (semi-recent) stream that they were testing a reworked version of Freddy. If they decide to pull through with the changes they made, then we should expect to see the rework drop maybe when chapter 11 drops or the MCP after that.

  • The Game, hands down

  • @JanTheMan said:
Another thing on the list that the devs promised.

    Behind DS, Freddy, endgame, etc.

They didn't promise this. It was just a suggestion they had, but I guess they listened to the backlash and didn't add it.

  • Not saying this accounts for all DCs, but sometimes survivors get kicked out of the game and suffer the Infinite Loading Screen of Doom! Other times, the survivors are kicked out mid-game! Either way, its an issue. Point is, not all survivors manually DC, but around 75% of them do.

Now that you can actually buy in-game cosmetics I would love for the Steam Inventory to actually show off cosmetics you own instead of a bunch of free stuff from the anniversary event from 2 years ago. I don't expect Steam Trading but it would also be nice to be able to buy a cosmetic and gift it to a friend through Steam Trading.

That would be cool in concept, but I fear that much worse things would come along side that. I play Team Fortress 2 (which has a steam market/trading system) and I get COUNTLESS scammers asking me to trade my items. These people look nice and good to trade with, but actually end up trying to scam you! I had to learn this the hard way when I lost almost 300 dollars! I don't want to put anyone else at a risk like that.

First it needs a full rework imo.

It needs to not be a Hex Totem.

When endgame hits it gives the EXPOSED effect to all survivors. However ONCE those survivors are hit and downed by NOED the exposed effect is removed from them.

This would bring it inline with DS.

Well, DS is a broken perk, so there's no reason to make another perk broken. Also, the NOED exposed status effect never really affects you twice. Normally you hit 1-2 people before the totem breaks or the survivors escape.
