As killer, if I came across a Meg talking trash like that, there is a 100% certainty she isn't making it out of the trial.

I hope this is true (I know the devs were approached by the owners of the mask in the past) and look forward to a new Killer, but Scream is such an overrated movie franchise IMO.
The first film was good. A nice blend of scares, surprises, and comedy. But the 2nd one wasn't anything special and the 3rd one was terrible IMO. I couldn't get through the 4th because I found it too boring.
I don't think I'll get too excited unless they give Ghostface in-game voice lines or unless their power and perks are REALLY good.
^ Literally this.
I would consider ghostface maybe #6 on my most wanted killers list (not very high for me), so they gotta wow me in order to make me buy him.
-
Alright I just want to say first that is is just my theory, but you can get hyped because of the last picture. They all speak by themselves.
Not my #1 pick, but I can't judge just off that.
I have faith that he'll be a cool addition.
-
Im guessing Freddy rework, but if I'm setting my expectations high (which I shouldn't), maybe another paragraph chapter?

Hey, uhh, so I've been thinking. With this Endgame Collapse and hatch closing the Clem's "Last Man Standing" perk wouldn't work as intended, so I came up with a simpler one.
"Always Go For The Head" - You know how to dispatch your foes for good. The stuns from pallets, DS and wiggle will last longer for 15%/25%/35%.
Waddya think? Also, great work with Springtrap.
Yeah your version is much better than mine. I'm actually creating a V2 of this post, and its almost done. Hopefully I can finish it soon. Anyway, your perk is amazing and I could definitely see myself running it if it were added.
-
"New solo character?" Goddamn, if it is, you already know who I'm rooting for!
In all seriousness tho, my prediction is either a Freddy rework teaser or 2x BPS.

This is pretty dang difficult , but still fun

Even tho she probably won't come to DBD i got bored and thought of some perks that are maybe cool and kinda fit her?
Gah! You beat me to it.... and I was almost done too!
Pretty fun-looking and balanced perks tho. Nice work!

She definitely wouldn't look the same, seeing as Behaviour and Telltale have very different art styles.
Clementine uses a specific art style called "cel shading".
It's essentially an easy way that developers can make their characters look cartoony. Cell shades aren't applied directly to the texture, so they can be removed pretty easily. And when you remove them do, you get this: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheWalkingDeadGame/comments/9y3mh4/clem_without_celshading_or_dirt_on_her_face_sort/

I would add a perk/base game mechanic for killers. I dont have a name but here's how it would work.
When starting the match, 2/3/4 (or 4 if base game mechanic) random hooks are selected. When a survivor is hooked on one of these hooks, a random perk is disabled for the remainder of the match. Only one perk per survivor may be disabled. Once a survivor has been hooked on one of these hooks, that hook becomes a normal hook.
There is no way to tell which hooks are 'special'. The best thing is it has potential to be very strong or very weak.
I mean, I like my kills when I'm playing killer, but I don't want them just GIVEN to me. This would just be an nuisance for me.
-
If you could be given the golden ticket to add 1 single thing into dbd. What would you choose to make a permanent part of Dead By Daylight?
Other than the obvious bug fixes: The ability to select the color of perk icons.
This is a change that I'd LOVE to be implemented. I'm surprised they haven't done this already considering how many people did it themselves.
Also Clementine, but many people are probably sick of hearing that from me lmao.

@TAG said:
I would not be against Clementine, but she strikes me as more of a "paragraph update" character rather than "full-on Chapter update with a complementary Killer" character, and I would not want to see another Survivor paragraph before a Killer paragraph.
If she was going to be added as a solo survivor, I would like to see her during a period of bug fixes. This way, we could fix the game while still adding interesting content to carry us over to the next full chapter. Solo survivors are way easier to develop than solo killers, so she could be easily developed whenever BVHR decides to fix the game.
OR
You could include a killer with her. There aren't too many options when it comes to TWD, but from what I've heard suggested, Minnie would make a GREAT killer. Minnie is a half-human, half-zombie, psychopathic killer that wants to protect her brother at all costs. I feel like she would feel similar to the huntress. Here's a video segment that shows you what she's like in TWD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qfUKp7qPKE&t=101

Wouldn't Lee make more sense?
From a lore perspective, yes.
However, I've seen more support for Clementine than Lee. I'm not exactly sure on why, but my guess is because of how much more apparent she is in the TWD games.
Lee is the main protagonist of season 1, but after that, he only appears every once and a while.
Clementine however, has been atleast a semi-major character throughout the entire series. The whole story arc of the games are based around her, so that's most likely why people prefer her over Lee. However, Lee wouldn't be a BAD choice, but Clementine would be slightly better.

I really liked the story well painted graphics(seemed like a living comic book) and many people were paying for the good story of some titles. I really enjoyed The wolf among us, tales from the borderlands( my favourite), Monkey island , Sam and Max, TWD even though season 3 was garbage especially at the end. No other game movie book could give me the same feelings.
Agree with everything you said here!
I've been playing videogames for about 10 years now, and the TWDG series has been the only game to make me care about its characters so much.
EDIT: Typo

I'd pay more than the typical amount just to buy Clementine.
Same. This would probably help due to the price of the license lol.

Lee too, He can take his arm back with no matter he cut it off or ignored that bit.
Lee and Clementine are definitely the two biggest choices from the series.
I personally prefer Clementine over Lee, mainly because I feel that she's slightly more unique.

@Boss said:
That would probably be another paragraph btw, since licensed Survivors usually come with a Killer of the same IP.
And devs don't want regular zombies.
Then again, they also said they never wanted clowns...
Then again AGAIN, it could be just a regular bad guy from the series...
There are a few options when it comes to killers (that aren't just regular zombies anyway).
I think the most popular one I've seen suggested is Minnie:
-
@Delfador said:
That would be great honestly.
When it comes to killers, there are many choices with iconic characters.
When it comes to survivors, there aren't many well known survivors, at least I don't know if there is any.
Clementine is the only survivor that I remember without looking at my games. There might be others but when it comes to gaming industry, I don't remember the other choices we have.
TWD has its playerbase already, investing in Clementine would be a cool choice BUT NOT NOW.
What they should do is to find solutions for game's problems and fix bugs, and after that they can work on different licensed characters and bring them to the DbD.
If they bring any licensed character to DbD right now, the people who came with those licenses will meet with our infinite loading screen, 3 man games etc.
I can definitely foresee the frustration with all of the bugs and DCs, so here's what I was thinking:
We're approaching the release of dedicated servers awfully fast, so once they arrive, that would be the opportune time to fix the bugs, issues, DC's, etc.
During this time (maybe somewhere in the May - August range), they would release Clementine as a paragraph chapter, just like Ash. This way, we could get proper game optimization while still having some interesting content to tide us over until the next full chapter release.

@Kilmeran said:
@Theluckyboi, Not only the cost of a The Walking Dead license being high (I know this from personal experience), but considering the fact that neither of the last two DLCs, one of which was for Evil Dead, saw a jump in player numbers at all, I doubt Behavior would be interested in any high-priced licenses at this stage. It just doesn't read as a good investment when, if DLCs aren't spiking player numbers, it likely also means they aren't being purchased in the same volume as previous DLCs, either.
I mean hell, so far a free-weekend isn't seeing a jump in player numbers for PC. It's barely registering as a blip. Whereas previous free-weekends often times doubled existing numbers just on PC.
I'm going to be completely honest here: I had NO clue who Ash was before DbD.
I just feel like Ash isn't as well known as the big ones such as Freddy Krueger or Michael Myers, and I'm almost certain that'd be the reason there was no significant player increase this time around (unless I'm just clueless and he's like a major horror icon). Well that, and player numbers typically shrink about this time of the year anyway.
Also, what in the entity's name would you need the TWD license for?
-
@Ihatelife said:
No. How she will be able to run away from the killer with only one leg?
She could just get the leg back, or she could get a prosthetic leg (which opens up many options for cosmetics).

-
@Hoodied said:
Why do people want clem to be a survivor
Mainly because the final season of the TWD game series just ended.
So if it doesn't happen now, it may never happen at all. Plus, she's a very lovable character that many people have been following for 7+ years now, and it would be a dream to see her here in DbD one day.

Let us first fix this crappy game atm before thinking about overpriced dlc.

Lets have a "bug fix update" with Clementine to tide us over until the next big chapter release.

@NightmareReborn I don't think Behavior has the same resources or budget as Bandai Namco Entertainment. That would be like saying: Hey, Activision-Blizzard did it, so Behavior should, too.
Fair enough.
I'm pretty sure BHVR has got their budgeting on track, so if the licensing is too much for them, then they don't have to buy it. It's ultimately the two companies decision on whether or not they want to commit to it.
-
@Kilmeran said:
I think cost might be an issue. You do realize that The Walking Dead is a rather expensive license, right?
Yeah, but if Tekken 7 can get Negan, then getting Clementine in DbD isn't impossible.
-
I'd pay over a typical price for a Clementine DLC, but I probably shouldn't be giving BHVR any ideas.
-
@Saint_Ukraine said:

Sure, but make that option only available to those who purchased it w/ shards.
We don't want people buying DLC's w/ cash, refunding them for shards, and then buying bloodpoints.

And all honesty this would be awesome as hell but there's a lot of red tape involved just to even get close to getting that license. Not to mention that I think since we now have a paragraph coming out I would like to see a zombie killer maybe.
A zombie character would be interesting to see, but who would it be (Even if its not from TWD)?

Clem is such a lovable character, it would definitely be hard to hurt her.

Oh my lord, that would be cool af.
I think that standalone survivors are easy to pull of 'for the most part'. Creating killers must be difficult because of balance etc but we can always have a couple of different survivors every once in a while.
I wonder what her perks would be? Like more alturism like claudette or a fighter like david or even as a leader figure like dwight?
Yeah, I think this would definitely be a standalone survivor, but I just thought if there was a killer to come alongside her, it should be Minnie:
or zombie Lee, but yeah solo would work the best.
As for perks, I was thinking a blend between David King (demonstrating Strength), Dwight (being a leader) and Claudette (wants to help others).
-
@SnakeSound222 said:
Adding Clementine would be pretty cool. She just needs to be aged up a little bit. What would the Killer be though? Would we just get a walker or would she be a standalone DLC?
I was thinking standalone. However, if the devs wanted to, they could get another standalone licensed killer and combine the two into one DLC.
