  • Reading is an essential skill

    image.png
  • I think the reason it existed was before they introduced the visual to TR and Lullabies. the sound was infrequent, so you had time to approach your survivor before they realized.

Now that there's a visual, theres a very glaring warning to the survivors that you are on your way, which nerfed her far more than the devs may have realized.

  • Unrelated, but I played one match yesterday and it was against Kaneki. I stopped right after.

  • if Pinhead could get a Pyramid Head level rework, that would solve things. a lot of the old Pyramid Head add-ons were borderline useless, other than the few numerical power changes.

Pinhead having a power thats literally just Nurse with extra steps minus any of the inherent benefit of mobility, should at least gain some sort of unique bonus via add-ons.

When I first read the perk I thought what it does is if you injured, you hit X great skillchecks and then you get fully healed. Now that would be still bit niche but decent and interesting perk!

Current version is terrible, even if you buff the numbers it would be bad. Just run any passive healing perk.

I think everyone who was hopeful for a good perk thought that. You hit your greats, and when you're injured, you'll heal yourself at the standard rate, which sounded cool! Instead we got some hot garbo that both is limited in use and not at all more powerful than other perks in the same catgeory.

  • its the fact that they knew that people hated a killer with auto-aim as their ability that also had high mobility…so they made a second killer with auto-aim and high mobility.

  • here i thought that the krasue that was bankshotting me had really good aim. Turns out this is just Kaneki 2.0

  • why was Tenacity nerfed? "What kind of place is this?!"

  • you clearly have never played Kaneki if you believe that they havent made a killer in 5 years that felt powerful.

  • It's strongest outside of chase, before the killer is in the fog with you.

As others said, the aura blocking is undeniably powerful, on top of the lack of scratchmarks made inside for its duration. I recommend popping it when the killer is approaching your generator, the killer will have no idea if you decided to leave, hide in a locker, hide in the nearest corner, or by the nearest rock.

  • Come and Get Me would be a lot nicer if, after meeting the unhook condition, you could always see injured survivors within 24 meters of you, that way you could actually maximize the use of your perk and not have this weird guessing game in Indoor Maps.

I appreciate the different perspectives in here! If you don't mind me interjecting to ask two questions (since I'd love to share this feedback with the team):

    • What is one change that would increase your enjoyment of the Map item rework?
    • What about for the Key item rework?

I know personally When I'm using the Key to give bonus items to my teammates, I end up:

    1. Dropping the key, so that I can pick up the item I unlocked from the chest
    2. Dropping the item from the chest nearby, so that my teammate can freely rummage
    3. Picking back up my key, so that I can go to the next chest

    Its very clunky.

If there was a way to have teammates be able to rummage through the chest, and have the previous item just drop adjacent to the chest, it would make things way easier.

  • My friend has currently been bodyblocked for over 15 minutes because they didnt know about the 10 second rule to free themselves. The Nurse wont hit them. The survivor cant leave. Peak gameplay.

  • The fact that he cant break pallets after his m2 weakens him massively. by the time you're free to break the pallet, they already are about to remove the final chain.

Cool, we can use his power to force them to drop pallets to ensure their safety…but their safety is ensured because Pinhead cant break the damn pallet!

  • but can they remove Legion tho?

    They can't sit with us.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I would not really say it is WoO. WoO shows you the aura of pallets, but does not make them more visible when you see them. And the person is also not really using it as WoO, since they are barely looking around for Pallets.

However, I also think that Reshade should not be allowed. It gives an advantage and the DBD-Community is notorious to make them game as ugly as possible for a slight advantage.

"But bro, it just looks better"… Yeah, shut up.

people be having the most crunchy looking screens just so they can have that little bit of an edge

Ugh I want Until Dawn (the game) in DBD so BADDDD. It's been on my wishlist forever. 🙏

When the Teaser for The Twins came out, I thought it was for The Wendigo in Until Dawn…and was sorely disappointed by one of the biggest flop killers in the game

  • Lightborn is a QOL comfort perk, if someone is upset they can't use their toys, they can remain upset for the remainder of that trial and move on in the next one.

Not that it needs saying though, but Lightborn is far from OP. The majority of times in which a killer can be blinded, is simply due to them being too lazy/forgetful to look at a wall. Or that they didnt hear/see the survivor following them for the past [Chase Time] seconds. Bugs aside, accountability must be held on the killers part (myself most certainly included).

  • this should apply to any healing perk they may have: Solidarity, Autodidact, Botany, etc. People would rather spend a whole minute self-caring in the corner than let you heal them in a fraction of that time…because the game doesnt tell them anything.

  • At the very least there should be certain limitations of perk combos.

If you have No Mither, you should not be able to gain Self-Care, Inner Strength, Strength In Shadows, Second Wind, Clean Break, Reactive Healing, Resurgance, Moment of Glory, For The People, Dramaturgy, Finesse, etc. etc.

If I cannot be healthy, I should not be given perks that can make me healthy, or require being healthy.

  • If you see the Ruin and decide to let it get value over cleansing it, you are the problem.

  • I think he's cool to face, but I really dont understand why I can see Dream Pallets as I approach them.

  • To directly answer the qurstion, it counters pre-dropping and holding W. There are many killers where a survivor would not want to risk looping (most involve one-shotting or an excess of speed), so by using this perk, they would very quickly find themselves at a disadvantage. There are many garbage pallets with the newer tiles that would spell death for a survivor if a killer were to use this perk.

To indirectly answer the question, The point of new Knockout is to support the new philosophy on slugging.

Funnily enough this perk is used extremely infrequently in matches, but when it is used, it is mostly to slug all 4 survivors consecutively. Blame those who wish to make others miserable for this perk change, for where someone can find a way to abuse it, there WILL be someone to abuse it. And that goes for both sides.

I do feel bad for those who use stealth killers and can no longer disguise their location when they down someone, that was a cool use-case for this. Perhaps they can bake this into some killers that are meant to be stealthy and cant zoom across the map downing everyone?

  • Vote Down.png

    THE KING HAS RISEN

  • they didnt fail, they made a massively desirable game mode that has such a huge influx of players, that there just needs to be appropriate incentives/prerequisites to balance things out.

Glass half empty is no way to live.

  • If you force Wesker to dash, and he accidentally dashes through a window, you instantly won the chase AND have the opportunity to successfully evade detection.

Yeah, power comes with consequences…but he's no Nurse.

  • @Evan_ said:

Couldn't you just like… not look?

It's not like you have to actively play while it happens.

I Alt-Tab during mori's, this is a non-issue. I dont find it gruesome or too much either, I just would rather play my afk game while I wait to die.

  • @Ayodam said:

Slippery Meat will never be META (deliverance and wicked, much better perks, aren’t). That line is giving hysteria.

does one really need to put /S for one to understand that one is being satirical and the post is all in good fun? No one thinks Slippery Meat is good. The post in its entirety is unserious. I'm just poking fun of something people are otherwise fuming over.

  • the only thing that makes the newer tiles remotely viable, is the lack of Line of Sight visibility. Problem is there are a large amount of viable aura perks for killers, so it would be easy to render the "loop" useless.

  • does the game still increase the mmr of a survivor that explicitly has a build meant for letting all your teammates die and getting hatch instead? If so, yeah…it really doesn't.

  • Stuck.png

I also was stuck but in a different position.

  • Most modern headphones have software that includes an equalizer, I don't really see what the issue is here.

Unless it was able to parse data to specifically increase those audio queues, this is a non-issue.

  • I LOVE the tunnels and underground Sound Detection, but the Tail Attack isnt necessarily the most amazing anti-loop tool considering the turrets that both break you out and detect you as well.

The stealth aspect of it's Crawler Mode and Tunnel system is cool, but it seems highly useless when you are being ratted out by the turrets constantly. If they nerfed the Motion Tracker to not be such a ridiculously powerful range, I might play it more.

You missunderstand, good sir. He's not saying "dpwn a survivor and teleport them to a hook." He's saying "teleport the survivor to another hook whenever the killer may be near."

    Boo…I would love the former

  • For the record I enjoy hooking and loathe having to slug to get my kills.

Slugging is not fun for me, and having to run back to the hook because its by far the most efficient way of disrupting survivors is lame game design.

  • The good killers are laughing in Grim Embrace.

  • btw you're not supposed to tell people exploits on the forums, telling people whats going on makes the situation more frequent and worse so yeah...

    just tell support next time.

  • Dredge music would be good if he was a skeleton...but he's a shadowy mass of flesh. Once the TR reaches Close I just imagine being chased by a goofy ahh skeleton clippity-cloppity moving towards me at a comically fast rate.

Meanwhile as much as I hate The Twins, I find their music (especially the sfx when The Twins 'switch places') to be particularly amazing. I believe the music encapsulates exactly how it feels to be chased by someone while also having a demon attached to you.

  • His chase power is pretty dog, if there is any connecting loop or pallet nearby, it doesnt matter if you have a section blocked off by teleportation, survivors will just walk away while you're still slowed.

it's a shame that the most horror killer in DBD isnt scary because he isnt a threat.

  • Making Coldwind day.

Completely immersion breaking. and horrible for Ghostface.

  • I survived just fine in 2017 when the grind was 5x the amount it is now with a vastly shorter perk selection.

New Players just need to persevere.

  • Well, if they were better than this, they wouldn't need Exploits in the first place.

  • Uses Aftercare

Person you healed uses their newfound aura reading to lead the killer to you

    Loses aura reading.

    Bond> Aftercare

  • Killers cant see Streetwise, but Survivors can see Overwhelming Prescence and then resume using their item at a later time. Overwhelming is Dog tier.

  • because survivors can;

    A. Give Up working on gens

    B. Suicide on hook

    C. Screw other survivors over in the hopes that they survive

    D. Wait for everyone else to die so they can get the hatch

for these reasons, you cant balance around 50% because that metric would mean that every survivor in every game is trying their hardest to win, which very clearly is not the case. We're looking at you...Meg.

  • After the removal of the Ruin-Undying super combo, it didnt really need to get nerfed in the way it did, but that is what happened.

They wanted to remove ways of passive slowdown, hence why they also nerfed Freddy's slowdown add-ons and Pinheads Chain-Hunt add-ons. Yet, I feel like there could have been a way for killers to earn 200% instead of outright removing it.

Similar to how you could earn Mori's on Devour Hope, they could have had stacks to Ruin based on how many people were hooked, either way it is a Hex and can be removed before it can reach that level of efficacy.

  • Hasten Healing sounds badass in a healing build. I am so in.

  • I dont want anyones constantly disconnecting ass in my games. 4 people shouldnt be punished due to someone elses connection.

People always think about themselves when this happens to them and not the other people that lost their match or had their match quality worsened because of them.
