Another boringly predictable entitled killer thread. Did you ever think these people might have other priorities in their life other than entertaining you? Some of us legitimately need to leave for real life personal reasons and I'm sure as hell not handing you a free hook by just going afk lol.
-
Killer gets keyboard out of backpack, straps it to Survivor and facerolls all over said keyboard.
-
I heard their testing a build on ptb with 1 Survivor vs 4 Killers:
Survivor spawns in already hooked in a ring of face camping Killers.
Survivor must de-hook themselves and escape the 4 intensely face camping Killers.
There are no exit gates, only 3 fake exit hatches and 1 real one all strapped to the Killers chests.
Likewise there are 3 fake hatch keys and 1 real one strapped to each of the Killers nutt sacks, (or equivalent).
Before the Survivor can attempt to gamble an escape via the real hatch they must sneak up behind each killer and systematically complete Generator repairs on each of the 4 Generators all strapped to the Killers backs.
Upon completing the repairs on the real Generator the Survivor can then attempt to escape.
If at this point the Survivor uses:
- a Fake Key on a Fake Hatch
- a Real Key on a Fake Hatch
- a Fake Key on a Real Hatch
The entire system resets and a steel rod shoots from a backpack into the ground, hooking them again, all Killers instantly teleport to their original face camping positions around the Survivor.
The only combination that works is:
- a Real Key on a Real Hatch
Only then will the game be fairly balanced for all.
-
There's literally no reason to ever wiggle to try and escape a hook because there is ALWAYS a hook well within half a wiggle bar. Even with Boil Over maxed out.
The only reason to wiggle is to avoid going to a basement for the inevitable hook to make rescue easier for other Survivors.
-
I take it we're talking about milliseconds of latency?

I wish they went more in depth about the Killers Powers.
What Happens to a survivor if they're infected and don't cleanse themselves?
How long does it take for something to happen to a survivor once infected?
What is the Power up to the killers power that she gets from a used Fountain?
I'm betting the infection works like Legions feral fury attack only if not cleansed leaves a perceptual trail of green scratch marks that remains in all states, even while walking or sneaking.

Survivor perks:
Solidarity - Healing a survivor heals you as well. 50% is the percentage they have now.
Poised - After a generator is completed, you leave no scratch marks for 10 seconds.
Head On - After being in a locker for 3 seconds, you stun the killer for 3 seconds if you rush out of the locker while they're nearby. Triggers Exhaustion and cannot be used while Exhausted.
Dance With Me and Head On would be a good combo if bursting out of lockers was added into Dance With Me's 3 seconds of scratch free.
-
More Killer hand-holding I see.
But was anyone really surprised at that, no.
-
Old Skool 80's Freddy would rock.
-
Cool. Looks a bit like Queen Neferata from the Warhammer Fancy universe (Propper Vampires without glitter)

DCs are only a problem if you are a non-salt miner; should you ascend past rank and score, you will bath in the salt of the DC.
I was on Legion earlier today, Discordance went off within seconds of the match starting so I was of cause instantly there and both of them immediately disconnect.
People aren't happy, they don't like playing vs cheese mechanics like Legion and if something isn't done about it it will just continue to alienate more and more much needed new players from staying and bolstering our rapidly dwindling player base.
And all banning people who DC will do is lessen the pool of players and hurt the long tern health, well being and future not to mention spread bad publicity and weaken sales.
The only solution is a Legion re-work/nerf to make it a more fun and fairly balanced and consistent class.

Unpopular opinion: Legion is fun to play and play against. I like playing legion because he feels so casual to play. You never play legion going in like "I'm gonna get a 4k and be sweaty". It's all just for fun and I can enjoy that.
And when I play survivor against a legion, I just see it as a fun challenge. It's going against someone who has the exact same abilities as you do, and it feels like its up to each player's skill in order to either escape from them or get hit by them. However, he does have his flaws.
First off, I find myself getting EXTREMELY cheeky knife hits in frenzy. Secondly, deep wounds + sloppy butcher is annoying because it takes SO long to actually get back to full hp, and when you do, you can already see little ol' Franky comin' on back. Lastly is Frank's mixtape... That is some powerful stuff...
Taking everything into consideration, I'd say that the Legion is not a bad killer (by fun factor, not power). I'd play Legion over clown or spirit everyday of the week. Clown is just boring to me, and so is spirit. They're good killers, but unfun to play as (and sometimes against).
I believe that's called "easy-mode"
-
For those who don't know, they openly explained how they want to make fun killers over good killers. Do you think this is a good method?
I love Freddy and he is the most under powered but fun killer in game. Fun and challenging games beat easy-mode crutch fests all day every day.

Spirit is my favorite Killer hands down. Esp with my Totem/Hex Roulette build! This was my latest match and ooooh finally getting Devour Hope to 5 stacks and getting 3 Mori Kills is just paradise!
It's also one of the many and varied cancer ridden crutches that is eating this game from within =D
-
Noed is OP and can ruin a game because of getting hit once then your facecamped because the gens are done.
This will never happen because it goes against bEhavi0ur's prime directive: "Always, above all else hold the Killers hand".

And this is another reason to fix Rank System
Fix the rank system? surely not, the "Rank System" is perfectly fine is it not.
-
Add more gens to each map. Problem solved.
-
DBD is already very skewed towards benefiting the killer and making the killer stronger than survivors. I am all game for a challenge.
Your just going to get the exact sort of neurologically defective psychopaths this game attracts with their faulty self absorbed reasoning with comments like this which is in and of itself an effort in absolute futility.
Best to either play Killer for the easy-mode or enjoy the challenge that survivor brings because the devs aren't going to stop holding those special snowflake killers hands any time soon. (because /profit < all)

Killers, because every Multiplayer game needs an easy-mode, hand-held, babied crutch option for all those extra special entitled snowflakes out there.
Bring the nerf, if Killers want a game mode that consists entirely of them looking at a screen in an empty lobby simulator that says "You Win" that's there hang up.
Oh except Freddy - the only fairly balanced Killer in game.

It wouldn't be so bad if the survivors/killers treated each other a little better. For that to happen KIllers would need to stop endlessly /crying for Killer buffs and Survivor nerfs turning the game into a joke that no one wants to play.
Which will never happen because /special snowflake syndrome
-
It's situational, if I know someone knows where one of my hex totems is (I don't use Ruin or Noed because /cheasymode bollocks) then I'll use that knowledge to get a hook. All other times I just haunt gens and try put as much pressure as possible.

Actually it does - you might have not read it properly;
But seeing as the game says nothing about the specifics of a Safe Hook Rescue, I’d be unsurprised if people confuse it with ‘Hook Save’.
I mean, "safe unhook" isn't explained
It sounds like you need to get the 500 points for a "Safe Hook Rescue" which happens some time after the actual de-hook.
It means don't train the Killer down to the basement before de-hooking, dodge the Killer and let the person you just rescued eat that blow removing their one remaining health bar and expect this ability to work XD
-
Solo Survivor thug life(because every game needs a hard mode with nuanced, strategic, harrowing game play reliant on sheer bloody minded stubborn determination and sheer force of will alone)
-
Extract the cancer from the following and you will see less DC:
- Legion / Doctor / Every Killer that isn't Freddy (because he is the only fairly balanced killer in game)
- P2W
- One Shot
- BBQ Cheese (Scrublord 'I win' button)
- Noed (Another Scrublord 'I Win' button)
- Face Camping (Impossible)
- Tunneling (Also Impossible)
- Killer Default Easy-Mode, Hand-Held, Babied, Crutch option for all the extra Special snowflakes (Never going to happen)
- Killers with absolute total control over latency via a broken one sided hosting system that favors KIllers (Not in our life time)
-

Lol @e8Lattice and just what "OP" perks are you referring to? NOED is clearly not one, so what else?I'm not in practice of engaging with boringly tiresomely predictable brick walls whose one dimensional quality mimics that of an inwardly reflective infinity mirror. And yet I am here. Oh the futility of it all.
-
The more Killers take game breaking OP cancer perks into matches the faster the game will be driven into extinction / or fair and consistent balance. Only one of those two options are possible.
Here this guy said it best:

^ If Killers are happy with keeping their OP corrosive crap that's eating away at the game from within at the cost of the games long term health, well being and future then I guess that's everyones problem, including theirs.
-
@Master said:
Damn right, why should an ordinary perk that is strong by itself also counter an ultra rare addon that costs a fortuneBecause Mori is a corrosive mechanic that takes away the survivors ability to change their situation there by removing fun from the game. And a game without fun fails at it's most basic premise as a game needs to be fun in order for people to play it, and a game without people is just an empty lobby simulator which again isn't really a game at all.
Rather die on the hook than deal with that bullshit. Usually if I can manage before a Survivor tries to rescue I'll just try to escape and hope like hell that I don't make that successful escape roll or it's disconnect time! XD
-
Freddy: Catch, release while keeping constant pressure with as many action slowing add on's as possible = slow war of attrition win.
Most fun killer requires actual thought and tactical nuance to do well

-
Buff skill by making a killer less easy-mode, I like it.
-
Make it so every affected generator explodes killing every survivor within a 300 kilometer radius instantly across hundreds of matches that'd be balanced.
-
Yeah. not at all surprised at the lovely collection of comments.
But thanks all the same to the sparse scattering of people who against all odds managed to bring what positive, constructive input they could muster.

Haunted Ground allows the killers to one shot Survivors. If someone cleanses the totems with the perk attached to them, she, and any other killer with the perk, are allowed to one-hit exposed players for 40-50-60 seconds.
It doesn't say that in the description?
Exposed means one hit down. They don’t explain it well, but some people get confused about it. Exposed does NOT mean they can see you, which is weird, but rather, they can one-hit all survivors if the totem is cleansed.
That would be the equivalent of a toddler throwing their toys, making their own rules up part way through the game (repeatedly) and re-naming the game "haha I win" and wondering why everyone leaves and no one will play with them.
A bit sad really.

Was there any potential for the killer to have done a grab? Grabbing a survivor off of a generator or out of a locker is an instant down. The Killer just hit me once, the match had just started, I wasn't near a generator, in a locker or climbing over a pallet (as none had been pulled down) or over a window. I was just out in the open.

Face Camping and Tunneling are terms made up to describe the huge power imbalance heavily leaning towards Killers.
Killers are left feeling like they shouldn't guard their freshly hooked body because it doesn't allow Survivors a fair chance to perform their rescue role.
- Punishment for Face Camping is other Survivors working on Gens and escaping = De-Pip for Killer
Killers are left feeling like they shouldn't chase down the Survivor who was just rescued from the hook (Tunneling) because it doesn't allow the Survivor who just escaped a fair chance at resuming their game.
- Punishment for Tunneling is other Survivors working on Gens and escaping = De-Pip for Killer.
However, neurologically defective psychopaths physically don't have the part of the brain that creates or has the capacity to understand what empathy is so the only incentive for them not to Tunnel or Face Camp, the only question they must ask themselves:
"is the enjoyment gained by causing misery to Survivors by Face Camping / Tunneling more important than putting pressure on the rest of the Survivors so they don't run gens while Face Camping / Tunneling and power the exit gates to leave causing Killer to De-Pip"
-
Ruin is actual aids infused pancreatic necro cancer. That is all.
-
I thought crouching rapidly was like Dead Hard and actually allowed you to dodge hits (because so many Survivors where doing it)

So why don't devs put a skillcheck for the mori? It's easy to hit skillchecks right? Put a skillcheck on every mori like "brand new piece"
skillchecks are a gameplay feature for survivors, not killers.
If you're good at looping and you survive more than 60 seconds after being unhooked, you can't use it.
if you loop a killer for 60 seconds, injured, after getting unhooked you don't need decisive, it would only reset a chase that already took to much time of the killer. @e8Lattice said:
DC can be countered by just chasing down the target again. . . Come on people it's not hard, and you even get chase points for it!
i'm sorry but this quote shows that you don't really know how the game works...
. . . No I'm pretty sure if a Survivor escapes via DC it means I just need to chase them down again which is super easy for anyone who has eyes, ears and basic motor function (which I think is most of us)
That doesn't make chasing a counter.
It kind of does because chasing and catching the Survivor after DS lands means they've wasted their one and only single use escape perk. (which is a waste of a perk slot anyway, any Survivor worth their salt has an entire list of better perks in place of DS)
^Reclaiming the word -salt- from all the meme douchelords XD
But none of that matters, it's already done. Killer hand-holding mode has engaged and nerf has happened.
Next on the /crybaby brigades list will be Deliverance.
I mean we cant have a game that's fairly and consistently balanced to be fun for all oh no no NO not at all.
-
Fairly and consistently balanced gameplay with the idea of fun for all in mind.
Oh wait, that never happened.
-
That would be the entire game up to the point where the hatch opens.
-
- Killer is hosting from a tin shack on dialup in Romania
- Survivor sees themselves go through window and make it 10 feet
- Ping argument occurs which Killer wins because they are the host by default because /easy-mode, hand-held, babied special snowflake
-
But every game needs an "I Win" button. Oh wait no that's single player not multiplayer games where the rules have to be fair, balanced and consistent across the board for people to actually want to play it or the game ends up failing at it's most basic premise.

Once this killer hand-holding nerf goes live it will only turn Survivors onto better perks they should be taking over DC anyway so it'll just focus the Killer /crybaby brigade onto those and inevitably get them nerfed too.
It's all a part of the greater plan of turning dbd into an empty lobby simulator with a screen with big text saying "You Win! - and in small print: "because your a special snowflake"
On the subject of actual toxic stuff that's eating away at the game from within, when's BBQ Cheese getting nerfed again? oh wait it isn't because the special snowflake killer /crybaby brigade would burn down the forum with their tears of napalm I forgot about that one.
get some sense, the only person crying like a baby here is you
Hey if your fine with your game dying because of massive power imbalance that's fine by me.
