  • Buff Noed! Change it to

No One Escapes Match - NOEM:

    • 300% movement speed from beginning to end of match
    • Change it from a Hex to a standard perk
    • Make it so you don't actually have to hit a Survivor to down them, just get within line of sight and Survivors are downed instantly from half way across the zone
    • Changes head graphic - All Killers who use NOEM now wear a propeller hat:
  • All Killer's are OP, (except Freddy, <3 Killer hard-mode thug life) they are the 'hook' to get people into the game.

  • Dance With Me: - No scratch marks for 3 seconds after vault sprint
Lithe - 150% Sprint speed for that same 3 seconds after vault while in chase
Quick 'n Quiet - No sound notification for the aforementioned vault
Urban Evasion - Essential, must have, don't leave home without it

I don't know about this. If there's one gen left to do, and two of us, I'll work with you on it to get it done as fast as possible.
Until about 95%. Then it's time to slither away. I want both of us to survive, but if it has to be only one... better if it's me :)

That's where Dark Sense will save your arse every time.

  • Funny, whenever I run survivor I always "Gen Rush" the crap out of that match. I just assumed everyone else did too.

My first three games as a nurse should not have ended like this.

    First Map: The Game
    Second Map: Resort
Third Map: Rotten Fields - 4k until Kobe.

(Never made it to noed so don't complain)

  • I had to leave game early recently due to baby needing attention and I noticed a bug. I happened to pick up a very rare tool box in match, when I left the match early without using gate / hatch it was in my characters inventory.

  • Don't need to get BBQ Crutch off Shrine, just tape keyboard to face and bash mouse with head till you get the shareable version.

-warning- nobody will respect you for choosing this easy-mode pay 2 win perk but if your fine with that all good.

  • @Maelstrom10 said:
That would just result in even more dodged lobbies. Don't like the killers main? Dodge. Don't like losing to a certain player? Dodge.
The only reason killers can see names is that there in a role of power. Even then you shouldn't really see names till the games start tbh

Which is exactly what happens now if you mirror the problem:

Don't like the Survivors main? Dodge. Don't like losing to a certain player? Dodge.

Killers shouldn't see Survivors names, Survivors shouldn't see Killers names. Neither have any reason to know this other than to dodge matches.

  • Nice work on that ability register, could do with pinning maybe?

I really like the potential of the following build for aggressive hook rescue / stealth:

Dance With Me / Lithe / Quick 'n Quiet / Urban Evasion

Although I really find Dark Sense useful the only ability I'd swap out for it would begrudgingly be Urban Evasion, it's more of a Gen Jockey Safety line ability.

  • This buff will be applied next patch.

In this same patch Survivors will span already hooked on stage 3.

    1. Blowing up a gen at the beginning of the match and continuing to work on that same gen. Newsflash, Nea: the killer is DEFINITELY coming.

This isn't always true. If the killer is chasing someone else they won't bother to come over to your gen. It's actually more important you keep working on the gen and just run when you see/hear the killer, otherwise you waste time hiding pointlessly.

I agree, running before the killer is in sight/terror radius is silly. A good player should stay on the gen.

When I play killer, I've caught so many survivors this way, so I think it depends. As a survivor, I always leave. Not worth the risk, especially if it's Spirit or Pig.

That's probably because they weren't actually paying attention or they didn't have an escape plan if you showed up.

I always look for the closest window or pallet and make a B-line there if I see the killer.

I main Pig when I'm playing killer, so they usually don't see. That's why I said it's not worth the risk. Can't count how many survivors I've literally pulled off gens after they've continued repairing.

^ /Cries endlessly for killer buffs and Survivor nerfs and gets them patch after patch (because Dev-Killer hand-holding)

^ /Brags about how easy their crutchfest is?

    Hmmm.

  • @perotx said:
I'm a lot more angry at people who DON'T stay on the gen after blowing it up. If the killer is coming, he is probably going to see you running anyway, and if he is not - well done, you're wondering aimlessly and wasting precious time. If he is coming and you're on a gen, then you start running and looping, and if he is not - do gen.

Killer is on dialup from a tin shack in Romania lagging the krap out of match doesn't help this.

Ok that's good to know, I knew about Freddy but not about T1 Myres. These are core unique Killer abilities that cannot be transferred via perks. With that in mind:

Are there any other Killers that have immunity to Dark Sense? Legion perhaps? It's just I was up against Legion, completed 2 gens, did a thorough 360 over the 7 seconds I had to see the Killers aura both times and nothing.

Also this Legion I was up against was using Legion abilities so they didn't have that Very Rare offering to change their core Killer skill set to either Freddy or Myres which would have been kind of obvious anyway.

No legion doesn't have that ability but there is one perk that I think can affect dark sense.

Hex: Third seal disables your aura reading ability.

As far as I know, this is the only way to disable your aura reading ability perk wise. There are some other ways like RBT addons but since you went against a legion, that is not possible.

Do you remember the perks he used?

I really wish I screenshotted the after match results now, apologies but I didn't think too much of it till well after the match was over, it was just gnawing at the corners of my mind so I had to speak up about it.

But it is good to know that it is possible for Legion to bypass the Dark Sense perk with Hex: Third Seal

  • As a survivor no way in hell am I going to join a Killers lobby with more than 300ms latency. I reserve the right to dodge the krap out'o that mofo.

Thought it was funny when I equipped my Dull Key and the lobby instantly disintegrates as the Killer dodges their own lobby.

I enjoy playing Freddy quite regularly at rank 1. I don't even want the devs to change him, just fix some of his issues.

Just remove his cataracts and I'm happy.

Freddy's aura can't be read unless you are asleep. His power hard counters all these survivor aura perks.

Alert doesn't work against Freddy when you are not in his dream world, which killer did you face?

  • So I equip my Dull Key and put White Ward up, start the match and BAM! killer disconnects wasting my White Ward.

Talk about a sore loser, the mentality of "If I cant have fun no one can" has no place in this game.

If losing your offerings when a Killer disconnects is a thing why is this not a banable offense?

  • Aww diddums, my heart bleeds.

4% baseline chance (without using offerings/perks) to free yourself per unhook attempt.
Basically 4% chance to get a free second chance. Some people will fight until they are blue in the face that this is "fine/balanced" but just imagine the hate that would pour into the forums if killers had a 4% chance to instantly put someone into phase 2 when hooked for the first time.

Imagine if Killers had a 100% chance to instantly put someone into phase 4 (death) without having to take them to a hook. . ..OH WAIT! they have that!

    -cough-ToxicMoriCrutch-cough-

Sure except that's an add-on and not a baseline mechanic.

Still 100% chance for an add on vs 4% chance for a baseline mechanic so their certainly getting their bang for their toxicity buck.

I respond with something like "have a lovely day." or something sexual like "insult me more daddy." Usually throws them off their game and I get a good laugh out of their reactions.

lol nice, I always thought something like "Well I'm off to motorboat my wife's enormous breasts so I guess I win right?" shuts them up pretty quick.

  • @Okapi said:
To be honest deranking would be your best bet. Until the devs balance around voice chat and abandon their "not all killers will be viable at rank 1" philosophy it's your only option. Just play like you'd normally do and take the loses that come. You'll reach your sweat spot rank of challenge and fun eventually.

You'd have to somehow link in external voice chat programs with easy anti cheat then put a voice coms system in game that triggers some sort of directional warning for the killer, similar to spies from the shadows.

Of cause that's not going to stop people getting together in public so they can communicate that way at which point killers will still complain because that's what they do.

Just because Killers /stamp their feet and /cry for survivor nerfs and killer buffs (and get them each and every single time) doesn't mean they can stop people meeting up and organizing a SWF group that way. Well maybe if they ban specific IP addresses from grouping with each other which would be a terrible decision, friends like to play together, take that away and killers are not going to find matches for them to be able to /faceroll their easy-mode, crutch fest on.

Hell here's an idea! lets ban fun and watch the game die! yeah at least then we can have our empty lobby simulator that Killers so desperately want to achieve at all costs! XD

  • Dull keys aren't worth taking because the circumstances of the hatch even becoming visible before the other 3 survivors die / escape are so slim it's just not worth taking the key for that slim chance in a million all the stars align:

The hatch must become visible before your the last survivor and you manage to find it while it makes no noise because your not the last survivor and it hasn't started making noise yet, not to mention you could have passed its location several times and just not known it was there because it hadn't become visible yet.

Oh and theres the odd occasion when you see the hatch while hooked, someone rescues you then go back to that same spot you saw it on the hook and it's not visible again so even if you had the key you couldn't open it because the hatch teleports / goes invisible again at a whim.

Killers complaining about dull key perks are therefore just bitching for bitchings sake (because that's what they do) I say let Survivors who want to waste a perk slot on something they'll never be able to use let them.

  • Doesn't matter how much you wiggle even with boil over because in a sea of hooks there's always going to be a hook well within range because /Killer Hand-holding so just don't worry about it! =D

  • LMAO! "Freddy Tier" - he gets his own tier at the very bottom of the list. classic. sad but true.

  • I like face camping scrublords, they let the other 3 survivors do gens while the 4th dances on the hook to warn the others off, 3 Survivors escape and OHH SNAP!!! Killer de-ranks. My heart bleeds. lawl.

  • Killer is default level easy-mode, Billy is essentially easy-mode on top of easy-mode so there's that.

I mean come on it even says "easy" above his character selection icon, how more obvious can it get they've put a bloody great neon sign above the character stating that "if you choose this killer, your choosing easy-mode" lawl.

  • lmao my heart bleeds, stop /crying for killer buffs and survivor nerfs and people will want to play with you.

Also remove Freddy's cataracts, seriously it's like playing as a 90 year old smoker.

  • Why don't we just tie hexes to killers chests and spawn survivors in already hooked on stage 3, that'd make it fair and balanced for all!

    Empty lobby simulator inc.

  • Killer perk where all survivors start out on stage 3 hook (epic balance right there) Hey it's where things are going, just saying what the devs are thinking. lawl

So I have been playing Jeff for a bit now and I really like him very much!!

One issue is that he may be the loudest players in the game and is easily able to be found unless you get the iron will perk but even then, he is still super loud.

It would be nice in a later update to make him a quieter so he isn't so easily found by killers. If not, I will still play him cause I enjoy him a lot!

He does look kinda cool but if it's just his perks you like? if so I'd recommend putting them on a much quieter, shorter, smaller and generally harder to see survivor with much smaller hit box such as Claudette.

Well I didn't send any message at all. First thing the dude said.

Like, I get I am new, so as a killer, I don't provide much of a challenge. You don't have to be a dick about it, I'm trying to LEARN, goddamn

Don't let it get to you or frustrate you. Keep playing learn loops and layouts. The more you play the better you will get. Ignore teabaggers and the toxic chat. Some people are just shitheads.

Well it's a bit crude but when someone does that to me I'll usually say in response:

"Well I'm off to motorboat my wifes enormous breasts so I guess I win? =P"

^ that usually shuts them up. lawl

  • Survivor perk: "See hidden Mori Offerings so you can leave the match before it begins" - totally worth that perk slot

Less toxic crutch more nuanced tactical involved thought.

  • Even when you use something as harmless as "Greatly Thicken Dark Mist" - Killer disconnects, lose purple mist darkener -.-

If killer disconnects you should retain your offerings. Simple as that.

  • And because none of that is worth gracing with actual authentic, 'conscious' thought. This thread becomes nothing more than a fallen tree in an unobserved forest of misery, fading into cosmic obscurity.

I have a feeling if there was a survivor equivalent to this thread you'd either answer it like a normal person, or you'd have not say anything because you believe survivors are perfect.

    ^
Translation: "Hurr hurr yur dum cuz" _- it's too hard to type like that so we're changing to English: _"I dont like fairly balanced games, your ideas of fairness and balance scare me"

    Ohkay. . .

I'd expect a linear mind not to see even the simplest of subtle lateral nuances.

    Here's the Sesame Street translation:

    ch-eese = cheese
    ch-easy = cheasy

  • Wraith face camps himself in front of a mirror.

    . . . For 24 hours.

  • All survivors are identical because you can swap and change their perks, unlike Killers they have no unique abilities such as Chainsaw, Dream World, Traps etc.

Therefore the only survivor to choose is the one whose hardest to see with the smallest hit box, and that's Claudette.

Here's a far more simple solution: How about remove Mori because it's toxic.

    Here's a simple answer:

Nothing in this game is actually toxic. Because the word has been abused so badly it has lost it's meaning.

Translation: "OH NOES! Don't take my game breaking easy-mode away! I cant handle life without it!" - It's ok, there there. The devs are not going to stop holding your hand. It's what drives their bottom line and gets them paid.

This post is a pretty good example of why some killers do it.

It puts your salt overload on public display for everyone to enjoy rather than just the end screen chat.

    This game never fails to:

    • Further ruin my faith in humanity
    • Surprise my recent failure in humanities faith with moments of humanity

People can be pretty crappy and pretty awesome. This game seems to bring out the best and the worst in humanity.

  • Someone wants to face camp me that's fine, I'll signal to my team mates to keep doing gens by dancing on the hook, they get out, killer de-ranks.

  • @Mr_Myers said:
The little triple arrow at the bottom right, click it and chat is gone forever til you open it

    omg I love you <3<3<3 !

  • Here's a far more simple solution: How about remove Mori because it's toxic.

  • I de-hook someone and they want to repay me by healing me RIGHT THEN AND THERE in front of the hook the killer just got alarmed to by the rescue. It's these people I just want the ability to punch in the face, through over my shoulder and sneak to a safe place before healing up.

  • Cheaters give a false impression of how the games balance is doing over all, it only breeds more of the current and long standing culture of "OMG KILLER BUFF NERF SURVIVOR" till all you have left is an empty lobby simulator.

  • And queue all the Killer fanboys desperately trying to lie, mis-direct and smoke screen as the curtain is pulled away and the Wizard of Oz is laid bare for the fraud he is.

Oh look, how convenient. Here before us is a meme that explains everything in full techni-colour historical accuracy!

    lawl. ^The denial is real.

p.s: please remove Freddy's Cataracts. ty
