Basically 4% chance to get a free second chance. Some people will fight until they are blue in the face that this is "fine/balanced" but just imagine the hate that would pour into the forums if killers had a 4% chance to instantly put someone into phase 2 when hooked for the first time.
Lol what? You still advance a hook stage. And if you fail you lose an entire 60 seconds plus lose a decent chunk out of the struggle stage. What will the killer be losing in your dream balance scenario?
People will literally complain about every single aspect of this game.
The scenario you are explaining is the other 96% of trying to unhook, not the 4% I was talking about.
I'm really not sure why you bothered writing this if it isn't even responding to what I was saying. -

Ok all flame war aside, I use to think you didn't lose progress on your death timer when attempting to unhook yourself at the last second before phase 2. I wasted so much time back in the day....

As someone who really dislikes battle royal games in general I actually find myself enjoying Apex. Mind you it forces you to play as a squad of 3 people so unless you have friends get ready for rage quitting randoms and people who run off to do their own thing.

What perks still need some buffs? How would you buff them?Honestly I think it all starts with eating right. Once you have a consistent food routine tailor made for your calorie intake the rest is just 100% organic vegetable frosting on top.
Of course exercise doesn't hurt either.

Yes I was playing a SWF match and one of my own friends accused the killer of "long range camping" because he looked at the hook from time to time.
Edit: Sorry I forgot to write X-friend.

Remember Me is at least good because it encourages letting the survivor go after unhooked so they can heal up. Dying Light is a poorly designed perk. If you're caught early as the obsession you get camped or tunneled into oblivion. If you're caught late or not at all then the killer wasted an entire perk slot.Well let's just reverse the effect.
Dying Light - So long as your obsession is alive all action speeds (for survivors) are reduced by 25%
"Lets see how long your team loyalty lasts now!"
Now it will be the Killer getting chased by the obsession, just bagging to die.

Hello,i would like to discuss how you all think about making Shadowborn FOV the standart FOV?
I personally think this buff would be nice because the shadowborn FOV feels much better in this game and its a buff that helps all killers though you ofc can argue that it helps some more then others. But i still think it would be a nice generell quality improvement. What are your thoughts about it?
Now if this would be done ofc shadowborn would need a change:
This could be ofc anything now and in my oppinion it dosent even have to be super strong since its a base game perk and no one feels cheated out of their money. Or it could just increase the FOV even further for those, who like that however i think this would be too extreme personally but i wouldnt mind.
Monitor and Abuse:
Either it can stay like it is and increase the FOV even further or it just does the + - 8m terror radius like it does now. IF you think this is to weak it could be buffed to + - 10m.
So what are your thoughts about this?
I do not remember what Podcast it was but BHVR have already said they want to toy with the Killers natural FOV. The problem they said was that they don't want to remove Shadowborne as a perk yet if they increase the natural FOV and you use Shadowborn your camera would clip your killers shoulders onto your screen.
Who knows when/if they change it.

I know it works if you 3k then down the 4th and then you can use the Yellow Mori.

Yellow Mori works on the last remaining survivor in the trial, it doesn't matter if the other 3 DC, escape or die.

Yes, this would be lovely to have! But I will say and this is probably an unpopular opinion, map offerings should also be secret. They should just make all offerings a secret except event offerings. That way people won't expect that Mori or know about the hook offering/point offering/map/etc.

Survivor - The Average Middle Aged Man-child
Perk 1- The Struggle is real (Fueled by your desire for a better life you barely scrap together enough time to live out a small semblance of "life" amidst your 8am-5pm 6 days a week job.)
"A party you say...I guess I can skip out on a little more sleep..."Perk 2- But I thought you said... (Fueled by an unreasonable fire for online Justice you point out the flaws in other peoples posts on various online forums all while systematically proving how much of a hypocrite you can be.)
"You can't handle my response because your acting like a child! Now take this picture of a meme I posted and shove it!"Perk 3- Meh... (Having no desire for physical activity you have learned its simpler to accept your fate rather than run from it. Besides its nicer to simply lay down anyways...)
"Yeah you guys can run away screaming...I'm going to lay down right here."I'm really not sure why I haven't been put into the game yet.

+1 I never understood how this wasn't just done on the games release, seems like common sense. The secrets aren't really "secret" at all currently. There is no "currently" they have NEVER been a secret. Its not just the bus window but several maps have windows that don't allow fast/medium vaults, it just does the animation and you stay in place. There is a window on the Yamoka estate that does the animation of a vault but you don't actually go through the window. I'd hope by now someone at BHVR has seen this since i have seen multiple threads. All we can do is wait. -

Ehm, it's mostly the other way around.
I won't get into a debate because both sides can be equally as toxic however its statistically more likely that you will have a "toxic" survivor than Killer in a match due to it being 1v4.

BBQ - For BP grind, remove once you have the build/perks you need on Myers.
Monitor & Abuse- Great with dead rabbit offering to keep your tier 2 radius to 8m (always get out of tier 1 fast)
Nurses calling- No one knows when its safe to heal since your radius is so low. Either they waste time running far away into a corner or they risk the heal.
Spies- People tend to scare crows a lot and often don't crouch unless they hear that TR or see you.
Make Your Choice- Lets you save your Power for more crucial moments.
These are perks I find can work exceptionally well on Myers. There are lots of great perks out there so play around until you find something you like.

We all obviously have our favorite killers to play as and against but recently I’ve been getting SO MANY Billys and Legions. Honestly the gameplay is just so boring and predictable to go against. I’m trash at avoiding chainsaws and with Legion it’s just stab, stab, stab, stab, stab....I also think Legion and Leatherface are pretty boring to play as.
No offense if you like these killers, I just personally don’t and would like to know other opinions.
As a survivor who plays 99% solo and prefers stealth I find Freddy incredibly boring to play against. Sure he isn't great but its basically boils down to "hear song, hope your in the right spot to hide, get found by random/inconsistent power tracking".
As Killer I find Nurse boring to play. Sure you can do really well in a match but half the time you are just admiring the floor graphics...

Like i don't mean to sound too complainy, but i've been playing more survivor than i usually would for the event, and ######### is up with the toxicity on killers side. Like out of the 8 games i've played, every single one has ended in a death, and though some of them were fair enough, 2 were face camps, and 1 was a lagswitcher, and most of the others i was tunnelled all game. Sure i tried hiding, but it's difficult when the killers on you the moment you're unhooked.I even had to start running DS just to last longer than 5 minutes. Like seriously, why are killers to toxic in the eventWelcome to every event ever in DBD. Killers need to focus people down to get points and Survivors need to survivor to get points, therefore EVERYONE wants to maximize their point gains.
Survivors are going to rush gens
Killers are going to tunnel killsIts not "toxic" its poor event design.
(Sure some people are truly just in it to ruin peoples lives but those players are not as common as people tend to claim they are.)

Don't get mad at me and start going off, already had this on another thing I said I want answers not an arguement.I'm seriously curious as to why they have an easier time to rank up. I find it ridiculous that a killer can rank up for holding someone's game hostage straight from the get go not letting them do anything else except be on hook so they immediately de-pip, but they get rewarded for this and get to rank up even though they pretty much did it to everyone in the game. How's this fair?
Killers have an easier time in low ranks vs low rank survivors because the killers goal and how to reach that goal is much more simplistic than the survivors.
Mid ranks I'd say its 50/50 since some survivors have the experience to play well and get the points required while giving the killer a hard time, but you also have Killers with the experience to limit the "time wasting" a survivor can do.
High ranks- I'd say its easier for survivors to rank up since your experience at this point should be enough that you can waste time and play more effectively HOWEVER there are teams that get carried to these ranks from SWF and so Killers who are also experienced can capitalize on this and get their points.
Basically a Killer solely depends on themselves and their performance to rank up (survivors can make it difficult but its still only YOU who makes the decisions for your side of the game)
Survivors to an extent rely on their team and not every team is created equally. A good team normally means an easy pip while a crap team means a more difficult pip or no pip. -

Man, I can say, with all responsibility, that most of the survivors are toxic as hell, at least on mid-high ranks. When I play against non toxic people, who even say gg at the end, this is like a big event to me.
Why are you guys trying to brush away the fact that killers are toxic as hell too?
I'm talking about PS4, we don't have an end game chat. A 'gg' is rare because you have to go to the profile of the people you played with to just send them something. People don't do that, killer or survivor.
I can say that when i play killer in higher ranks, less than 25% of the survivors are toxic. And sometimes you play against 1 toxic guy so i just ignore him and find somebody else.
But when i play survivor, i face toxic killers almost every game. They all play dirty and use cheap "tactics" to win which isn't fun for anyone. Even from the start of the game with 5 gens left and ruin still up you will get hardcore proxycamped. Survivors with DS, Adrenaline, Sprintburst and Self Car or BT with instaheals or purple toolboxes are no different, yet they are considered toxic & sweaty while killers get a pass, and whenever someone who plays survivor says anything about it, then he is suddenly whiny and survivors are OP.
You must be new to the forums because I'd say this cesspool is an even split of people fighting "Survivor mains/Killer mains". Why can't we all just agree that EVERYONE sucks and all be unhappy together?

I'd agree with you but think of it this way....
You're earning coins faster as a killer than a random survivor. Queues are over 20 minutes and killer queues are faster. The survivor you just met might have left with more progress than you but you're onto a faster queue than that person.
20 minutes? I wait around 1 minute as a solo survivor, and yet, I earn minimum 20 points per match as a survivor, while as a killer I earn 16-26 points when I 4k. This event is a joke for killers.
You think YOU have it tough!? I'm trying to make a simple living selling handmade lanterns and a bunch of kids keep stealing them! And who in damnation is breaking the ones I find laying around!!!

Not enough killers. Does that really surprise you, knowing how much ######### they have to put up with?I think the recent incarnations of the last few big patches have been quite killer sided if im honest. The event isn't very killer friendly I accept that.
None of those patches have stopped the hate and vitriol from survivors, nor have they stopped them from trolling and exploiting (holding the game hostage, taunting the killer, etc.).
Killers are tired of playing what is arguably the more vital role in this asymmetrical game and getting ######### on for doing so. Now it's the survivors' turn. You want shorter wait times? Play killer.People paid for a full game.
Not 50%.The guy wants shorter wait times, he should be granted shorter wait times .
Simple logic.Look.
Unhappy Customers+Unresponsive Company = No Income.
A company can't force people into playing the other half of the game (killer) if they are choosing not too. Its going to take a lot more "fixing" to convince players over there during the event.

I would say Balanced landing is an unhealthy design. If we examine the picture:

You can see the poor form Nea is taking when hitting the ground. Given that falling from a high place puts a lot of stress on your bones and joints upon landing it is ill advised to land on one leg, especially in a position such as this. This is truly an unhealthy and unsafe way to land on the ground. -

It has to do with poor camera quality and bad lighting. I would suggest upgrading your current equipment and minimizing the background light to allow a smoother picture with a higher pixel count.
Hopefully this helps explain the grainy photo!

I absolutely agree. As long as in you are remaining in the killer's terror radius it shouldn't count as being idle/afk. It happened me once but it could've costed me the game if it wasn't a Trapper (kappa). The problem with using the TR is that not all killers have the same radius (plus perks alter range). This would still cause inconsistent idle times and not completely fix the problem.
The situation the OP mentioned (I agree it sucks) is a rare occurrence and can easily be avoided by positioning yourself better. I know the OP said they were trying to avoid the detection of BBQ but you can use gen auras, lockers, or simply get within radius (its much larger than you realize). It sounds like the OP made a poor choice in hiding where he/she did and although it would be nice for the game to realize he/she wasn't actually AFK I don't feel this is a fix the team needs to be focusing right now. Heaven knows they have a lot more to fix first...

That's sad.
Actually it sounds like they want to give the OP a chance to expand on their post and provide some examples as to what they think could help as a member of this community.
In the future it may be best to hold such snide remarks until giving the conversation at large some thought.

I know. They took a long time to fix the "grab animation" bug that really hurt stealth killers like Spirit and Myers and its still not completely fixed as I have had the situation arise in a few of my games. Admittedly the frequency has dropped from near 100% to something far less common but it still frustrates me when I'm stuck standing there with my hand out while the survivors run away. -

Just recently I got my ass up to rank 3, now I believe myself to be a decent killer. I run standard perks for red ranks like Ruin and Noed. Even though I constantly hook ppl, I usually get 1 MAYBE 2 kills a match. I try different killers, different builds, but nothing works. My Ruin lasts for maybe 1 gen, and my Noed lasts a whole minute. I try to play as optimally as possible. I main Billy, and I’ve been trying Sprit recently too. I play on console, so I do have a decent amount of boundaries and FPS issues, but nonetheless, I don’t understand why I can’t do good, to my standards at least. Anyone have a tip or something for me?More experienced players will either "Gen-tap" through your Ruin, simply hit the "Great skillchecks" or find the totem because they know the map spawn locations. I don't think Ruin is a consistent enough tool against experienced survivors and can be replaced with something more suited to your playstyle.
By the above mention of "totem spawn locations" I also don't feel NOED is as reliable either, as typically the team communicates all totems destroyed and you won't even get that activation. Rule #1 always assume the killer has NOED, it takes next to no time to assure you don't get screwed over.
Spies from the Shadows is a perk that yields surprisingly good results for me since no one expects it (and its getting a buff, unless that buff has already been released)
Enduring is good because you never have to play "safe" around pallets and can force the drop faster.
There is no easy solution as each team will be different. Many red rank players still play far to altruistically and get themselves killed quickly while others rush gens and put up long chases. I find the best way to play the game is by changing your view on what your goal is. Most people say killers goal is to kill all the survivors while I view my goal as stopping a total of 5 generators from being finished.
Objective 1: Prevent generator progression.
Objective 2: Kill survivors to achieve objective 1.Prioritize stopping gens over committing to chases, the longer a match goes the better (usually) it goes for you.

Every single patch released introduces a slew of new bugs. Its clear they either:
A: Don't have enough staff testing the patch prior to release.
B: Have inadequate staff (I doubt the staff is inadequate and believe its more a time/resource constraint).
C: Do not test everything and only focus on bug testing from the last patch list.
Enjoy our suffering and secretly feed the toxic sludge that is DBD.Like EA has created a mistrust of their business model and Bethesda has created a mistrust in their capability to deliver good games (recently), BHVR has created a mistrust in their patch releases.

You need to learn the spawn locations. All the old locations are still in the game (also The Game map) and the "new" locations added in a long time ago only added 2-3 new spots per map. Learn where these are and no Hex last longs.
