I just hope they fix the issue with "Ultra" graphics settings on the PC unnecessarily eating 99% of your GPU. I can't record at 1440p because of it.

You could switch to survivor aswell.
Usually its the high rank survivors that face a low rank killer (I assume due to a lack of high rank killers), as low rank survivor you should face low rank killers, at least that has been my experience
It should be based more on Devotion than Rank.

WOW If this game hits and is consistent at 60 FPS on PS4.
Tbh, just get it on PC and enjoy the luxury of KB/M for killers.

A game engine update usually alters graphics, optimization, and physics. I doubt physics got changed, but the game looks a bit different (the most striking changes being fog, and MacMillan not being insanely dark).
-
..
-
I doubt Claudette would be the most picked survivor if she didn't have Self Care/Empathy starting out. Those are a lot more useful to a new player than Sprint Burst, and possibly Urban Evasion.
-
I'll suicide on the hook in any game that opens with Hillbilly getting a chainsaw down in the first 20 seconds. Even the Nurse can't do that.
Some killers are miserable to play against, like the Doctor--whose entire design is god awful, and why he has a legendary disconnect rate.

So my trapper is P3 with every perk and he’s my favorite killer by far which is why i play him the most. I tried billy and hag and i just couldn’t do it.The_Crusader said:The perk thing sucks and all you can do for that is grind.
As for losing, honestly if you can do ok with Trapper and Doc then you will clean house when you start using stronger killers. Trapper and Doc are pretty weak. Give it a few games as Hillbilly, Spirit or Hag and you will be much more dominating.Hillbilly is boring, and Hag is a learning experience. Her slower movement speed and stature, as well as how her traps work and interact, take time to get accustomed to. At first, I was dismayed at playing her, but after getting the hang of her she is one of my main killers.
-
Hag is pretty versatile now, especially with the small terror radius. My general build on her is:
Hex: Ruin, Make Your Choice, Monitor & Abuse, and A Nurse's Calling
-
Gen tapping is the same as Ruin being up the entire time. lol
Repairing a generator through Good skillchecks is the same speed until 6-7 Goods. It's, honestly, better to just power through 80% of the time if Ruin isn't immediately near you. The only situation where Ruin is super detrimental is multiple people on a generator that can't hit Greats, in which case... just ignore Ruin's purpose and split up on generators.

I don't guard Ruin, virtually, ever. The reason is that a lot of killers beeline it, and they don't know its specific spot. If it's somewhere obscure, or rarely checked, it can last forever; however, some killers going to it lead survivors right to it. That's how I've found Ruin many times, so I never lead survivors to it.
To be honest, I wish a killer could set their Ruin locations on each map somehow. Maybe the killer should see an overhead view to pick a spot, shortly before everyone loads in with their randomized spawn locations.
Alternatively, have the killers roam around in a sandbox of the map (like KYF), and place it like a bear trap where they want (ideal), either as a pre-game setting or before the survivors load in (and then have the killer be given a new respawn location at random).
-
Post-buff, easily A-tier. It also depends on how you play her, though. Her addons determine her effectiveness and gameplay, as even the Scarred Hand + Waterlogged Shoe is viable now. She's absolutely broken with Make Your Choice + Mint Rag. Tbh, I'd play Hag all of the time if I could use Rusty Shackles (favorite addon) forever.
Unfortunately, it can be rough as Hag if you've got someone following you around and setting off all of your traps, or you can't get them out into key places before you need to start pressuring.
-
Honestly... if a killer eats 2x DS and we didn't get a 3-man escape, we deserved to die. lol
-
So far, it's been relatively appropriate for me as a killer. Been facing a lot tougher teams in the purple ranks, with a wide spread on survivor rankings.
Messing around on my off-killers for dailies, and only walking away with 2 kills in them. I actually have to try, since Ruin is getting cleansed in 15 seconds now. (I did have a 32k game as Pig, which is pretty magical considering it was with a 5 Hex build.)

The problem is being new with killer and going against experienced swf. Also the inverse: being new survivors and facing a P3 Doctor/Freddy/Nurse. Most new players pick survivor first, too.

-
I use Claudette for my survivor main as well, and honestly, she's not super stealthy when you know how to look for her and where she blends in. I've found them on Darkest Moonlight in MacMillan quite a lot, as I played KYF a lot before they completely disabled the offerings. (F for Respects)
The new lighting makes Bill and David harder to find, imo.
-
Yeah, I prefer facing Legion.
Freddy is RNGssian Roulette, man. His lullaby is garbage, and so is him being invisible before getting dreamed, so stealthing against him is very difficult.
-
I deliberately wait to hook the last survivor if they've never been hooked, to deny them escape chances and struggle points.
-
Console messaging is bad. I just let them spam me with salty messages before trolling them with one reply and blocking them. hue
-
Hag gets me. And pallets also get me on Hag, because she can be several feet away and still get pallet stunned. No other killer needs to be so far away from a pallet to eat a stun for some reason...
-
Pig/Hag/Spirit.
Pig is the coolest in map control, but there's a lot of nuance to how you play, and RNG involved.

-
@Brady said:
The problem is being hooked, proxy camped, then immediately taken out by the Mori 1 minute into the match.I like being mori'd tho :P
This is what universally happens in-game, too, ESPECIALLY if Dying Light is in play. It's really sad.
I'd rather see Ebony Mori's unlock the kill after the second hook, and give bonus BP for executing someone instead of hooking them one last time.
-
The only drawbacks to killers are map RNG, depending on your killer. Since I play Pig, Spirit, and Hag, I deal with most of the chase woes.
Pig and Spirit are woefully addon dependent. You can't take on a serious SWF without a good addon combination, such as Slow-Release Toxin (traps cause Exhaustion), or extra boxes on Pig. On the Spirit, I find her movement speed addons to be the best, though removing her phasing emission (Yakuyoke Amulet), and double phasing addons are useful on certain maps and builds.
The Hag is pretty universally strong now, though having one survivor run around and nonstop trigger traps is still hard to deal with if you haven't already gotten pressure rolling.
-
It's cause Meg kept pointing at them, trying to save herself.
You hear her scream in the distance when she misses Decisive Strike.

Excellent idea. -

Hoodedfengm1n said:legion is skill-less okay lets ignore doctor for a second
Doctor is one of if not even THE weakest killer in the game if you don't know what you're doing. Not only do you have to mindgame survivors unlike Legion since doctor is extremely loopable but you have to learn perfect timing due to the short stun and optimal shock-spots to break loops like jungle gyms otherwise it's pretty much gg.
If you're trying to shock survivors at all of the loops, you're doing Doctor wrong. He's like a better version of Pig. He can passively disrupt survivors, and further cause problems for them from a massive range. He's an E-Z Track Oven, and isn't punished even remotely as hard as other killers for breaking a chase if he puts a survivor into Madness 3 first.
His garbage design is miserable to play against, and why he has such a massive disconnect rate.

Hag/Spirit: Ruin, Make Your Choice, A Nurse's Calling, Monitor & Abuse
Pig: Ruin, Make Your Choice, A Nurse's Calling, NOED
A lot of times, I've been messing around with perks for BP farming or fun. Hex: Third Seal is especially strong if you can get it rolling on 3 quickly... which is almost never.
I really need Bamboozle. :'(

Pig:
-Jigsaw's Sketch & Annotated Plan. Now watch how beautiful RNG can be when the survivors have to search 6 Jigsaw Boxes! This is my favorite build, on the Pig, but I can 1-Up it: Crate of Gears + Tampered Timer.
It takes 12 seconds to search a Jigsaw Box, and Crate of Gears is +30% to the time it takes: 3.6s/search. Tampered Timer is -30 seconds to the timer, bringing it down to 2 minutes (or 120 seconds).
With bad luck, it will take you a total of 66.4 seconds to search all four Jigsaw Boxes--without failing any skill checks or being forced away. This leaves you with 53.6 seconds to navigate between each box, in total (assuming the worst case of luck).
Naturally, you should chase people off of a box 1-2 times, and then they'll die to the Reverse Bear Traps quite easily. ^_^
I call it, The Mind Blowing build.

Then in that case the RBT are kind of uselessTo each his own, but having them auto-activate isn't always a good thing, especially if you're someone that tries for the 4K.
Her traps are incredibly effective for tunneling someone to their death hook quickly, and then slugging them to draw others out or waste more time.
-
Marth88's Nurse basically teleports into other games to kill more survivors, because the four in his own die too fast.
-
Having them activate immediately takes out their strategic usefulness for controlling survivors and sections of the map.
-
@darktrix said:
Just like balanced landing unless you hop off a harvester! No it will be less effective on some maps than others cause of crow placement, but crows usually flock in areas where you need them most where there are more hiding spots for survivors or the edges of the map you maybe wouldn't check otherwise.I had 0 procs on Rotten Fields, and deliberately herded survivors everywhere, including along the edges. Absolutely nothing.

Coldwind tiles are insult to players who are half decent as there is 0 mindgames in see through walls. Boring for both sides.I agree with this. MacMillan is 100% superior to Coldwind Farm in every way.

The counter to NOED is not looking for NOED when you're standing at an open Exit Gate.
-
Are we going to see another surge in Make Your Choice usage?
This definitely looks like a nerf to DS massively in Pig's favor, due to her proxy progress delaying, and general synergy with slugging on top of it.
-
@GraviteaUK said:
So that image highlight the killers addons and 1 perk and just DS on the survivors end?.No insta med pack, no brand new parts, no purple flashlights, No Discord logo?
You really can't cite BNPs and flashlights anymore. They're not even the same plane of existence of power that they used to be.

Swinging used to cancel DS on occasion if it was done at exactly the same time. Of course, there was no way time it properly and it was more of a lucky happenstance than anything else. I don't know if that has been fixed or not. Realisticly, it's just an attempt of a distraction. That bug existed for 1-2 weeks maximum and was fixed.
-
Hooked survivors that are "flailing" mean the killer is nearby/they're being camped; don't rescue them.
-
Rework Hillbilly into something less deliberately overpowered.
or
Fix the Hex system/Ruin's place in the game.
-
I hate playing against Hillbilly and Doctor more than Legion. I even hate playing against the Clown and Freddy more than Legion.
Legion is just massively annoying, but he technically tunnels less than Wraith, but actually has mechanics built-in to discourage tunneling, unlike Wraith.
-
The Pig looks good at P3.
The Hag looks like someone dumped red paint all over her, though... :'(
-
@The_Crusader said:
I don't. But then I always take MYC on Wraith because with the speed and invisibility it's often quite easy to find the targetIt feels like an eternity to de-cloak nowadays. I'd rather just approach from a distance and see who is leaving the hook. Chances are, it's a one-hit down whomever I hit.
-
I would rather not hear the killers' insanely loud breathing when I'm playing them. Nurse is absolutely egregious on that front, and she can drown out survivors' movements and whines.
-
Now that Exhaustion has been nerfed, so that fleeing perks won't keep coming off of cooldown during a chase, I don't think it's OP.
Pre-nerf, Sprint Burst + Vigil was just beyond #########. You could easily be looped for all 5 generators and never catch the survivor if they made a build entirely around just running with Balanced Landing and Urban Evasion or Quick and Quiet.
Its overall effectiveness depends on your build. With Urban Evasion, I'd say it's the best one to have. Comparatively, Lithe is a better perk if you run around in general more, and would likely pair better with Dance With Me and/or Lightweight.
Imo, Balanced Landing is king because its secondary effect makes a HUGE difference on your options for fleeing a killer, but some maps it can hardly be used.

The early ranks are a joke on noobs. It is extremely easy to rank right now and most end up leaving these ranks long before being capable of playing with vets. It doesnt help the matter that rank lock can be bypassed with the monthly reset. The sub-15 ranks only punish newer players with LONG queues. It needs to be outright removed at this point.
Rank resets need to stop happening so frequently as it is because it, again, only punishes newer players. That's all the ranking system does right now: artificially inflates queue times and gets newbies crushed.
-
Huntress' Lullaby ought to work on it. It's fair that Blindness doesn't, BUT...
I would like to see an addon that limits the proximity in which survivors can see box auras. Rules Set No. 2 should reduce your ability to see boxes to 12-16 meters around you once your timer starts. This still leaves a chunk of Amanda's addons to be pure trash, but it would at least make Rules Set No. 2 a lot more worthy of being Ultra Rare...
Whether Third Seal should work is hard to say. I would rather say no and see the perk buffed (EG: Not a Hex and retaining the need to hit each survivor; or remaining a Hex and automatically applying to everyone at the start with no warning.)
The main issue with Blindness is that it's generally quite weak unless it's coming from Third Seal. And then Third Seal is only very effective once you've hit at least 3 different survivors. The Pig's pressure from her traps is relatively balanced, and locking people out from seeing boxes at all wouldn't just make her OP: it would straight-up break her because finding boxes can be a bit hard. Coupling blindness to her boxes would make the 5-6 boxes or/and Tampered Timer busted as hell with even the sliiiightest bit of bad RNG on the survivor's part.
-
Fun:
Huntress, Pig, Hag, Spirit, Myers (no OP addons), sorrt of Wraith and Nurse.Awful to play against:
Doctor, Hillbilly, Legion, Clown, Freddy (lullaby still broken GG), CamperfaceOne-hit downs for addons or base mechanics is just really bad for the game, imo. Hillbilly is still the most busted killer because he just chainsaw across the map, and a survivor can be unlucky enough to spawn in the open while he just steers towards them and cleaves in front of him for a down in less than 10 seconds into the match. I see that ######### happen all the time on Azarov's.
-
The mist/fog doesn't work the way they vaguely explain it in-game.
While you can see certain surfaces and textures from a distance, it's possible for survivors to disappear into it just a few meters away from you when it's thick enough, but it's never consistent.
