that's fair.
I think sometimes we do forget that ppl have real lives to attend
some of us dnt have real lives :(
Quite a coincidence how all those people suddenly had life issues to attend to the instant they took a hit.

Translation: I'm the only one that's allowed to have fun.
People didn't dc as much against nurse and she was more powerful than her. Because nurse is actually somewhat enjoyable to go against.
If something isn't fun ,then it needs changing, period. She doesn't have to be nerfed to the ground to become enjoyable to go against . She doesn't really need nerfs at all except some of her addons. She just needs some changes to make her enjoyable to go against.
Funny how I think only my fun matters, but I'm not the one ruining the game for 4 other people. Hmmmm.

honestly I am happy for the Michael nerf all stealth killers are not immune to spine chill except Michael why does he get a special treatment?
Besides being totally inept at EW1 without a specific add-on and on a couple specific maps?

Because Spirit is something in the game and SWF is a game mode in the game that involves external factors you can't really touch. It's not the same thing.
Not even hardcore esports-focused games do more than restrict party sizes depending on game modes, I've never heard of a game that applies restrictions or penalties to people playing in parties. Hell, many games encourage it with XP bonuses and whatnot.
No, because other games allow that sort of external factors for both teams and most go out of their way to match such teams together, so that there is no difference in external factors.

Stridor makes Iron Will 50% less effective. Iron Will still works at reducing the amount of noises you make while injured.

All I'm seeing is you making every excuse in the book to not adapt and learn because you got to attached to, blink blink blink hit blink down. Okay now I can do this over and over with no repercussion, you are crying cause you have to actually think about when and how to use your blink like every other killer. Every killer has weak maps every killer has hard points to get over. I play 70% killer 30% survivor. I understand its bullshit sometimes but that being said nurse needed the slight nerf. Was it a little overkill maybe, is it bad for the game not in the slightest.
What change was made that a player can adapt too? The only change that happened was a restriction was placed on a her power. Nothing at all to compensate for that.

they aren't gonna nerf the ability to play with friends in a video game accept that
Exactly, where is the importance in balancing when certain imbalances just get a free pass?

Exactly what I thought. Then still people around saying "just use iron will", when
1 Stridor (just 1 perk) completely counters it, and 2, which is the main point, you shouldn't bring one perk in the game just to be able to do something.
The only way to stay completely silent is using No Mither. So that's ridiculous, because if you use no mither prayer beads will get you down --> 100% of the times, and if you're not using it, Stridor will counter iron will and get you down in a few seconds, unless you find somewhere a god pallet so the spirit can't catch you with one shot.
So this is completely bullshit, prayer beads have to go for sure
Except that Iron Will still reduces her ability to track you by sound considerably, even with Stridor, and it's very confusing if she doesn't run Stridor.
And Iron Will is still extremely powerful against all Killers at loops.
-
Yes, because percentages are additive in DBD. Iron Will reduces sounds by 100% and Stridor increases sounds by 50%. So the end result is the Killer with Stridor can hear the Survivor with Iron Will at 50%.
-
Because using them would involve playing Legion. 😥
-
Player Experience progresses the Rift too. You get one shard per 800 xp.
-
The bloodhunt started on time and was always going to end on the 4th. Only the Hallowed Blight is ending later because it started later.
-
I don't mind the screwdriver sounding like a knife so much as the pipe. We just give that weapon the sfx of Billy's hammer. EZ fix
-
Survivors are too used to being in total control at the majority of loops. Between 3rd person camera, most Killer's hight, and the red stain being seen through walls, Survivors are used to a plethora of information that keeps them from making mistakes. Spirit excels at loops and that's why Survivors hate her.
-
Well, they nerfed her because her kill rate at high ranks was too high. So mission accomplished, I guess.

Well I'm just giving the devs their deserved credit because no one is complementing the hard work but complaining about what they don't want. P.S.A. if you can't do the challenge your not as good as you think.
How good do you think you have to be to complete four gens in a single match on your own before anyone else? LMAO
-
You can't play unfun killers either, because bad Survivors scream to the high heavens until those Killers are "looked at" and "slightly tweaked."
-
I find Dark Senses to be incredibly ironic.
"No one else on my team does Gens!!!"
*Dark Senses*:
https://youtu.be/oHC1230OpOg -
It's been great. Just running Prove Thyself with a commodius toolbox and sockets and slamming through pumpkin gens.
-
Unintended dedicated servers side effect.
Incredibly irritating though.

This has been proven repeatedly, but always hand waved away. #notallsurvivors

Good to hear, Spine Chill was way to weak before, now it is almost a decent perk. Still need some buffs tho like more +% repairspeed.
(*Fingers crossed Devs actually believe what i just sayed so they never touch this amazing perk)
Spinechill has always been amazing. It just doesn't fit with the "10 safety nets and genrush" meta.

not working against the T1
It does now.

Getting looped somewhere.
-
Bloodhunt doesn't double the points from the Pustuals.
-
Survivors didn't like a secondary objective last Halloween. So they get good ol' gen rush instead.

Why is the retort always about a killer being bullied? OoO was a high risk, high reward kind of perk. You took the risk of giving the killer perfect information in exchange for perfect information on them. Which is not to say that toxic people didn't use it. They absolutely did. But it wasn't like the killer was left helpless. As for the new iteration, just disable it when a killer is in stealth.
Because trading perfect information between two players isn't what OoO is actually used for. It's abused by SWF to get perfect information for the whole Survivor team in exchange for information on only one Survivor for the Killer.
-
These events reward Survivors for doing Gens. They are going to rush harder.
It's quite a different story when Survivors' event is to screw around with Lanterns or Plants.
-
Pretty sure the perk is lighting up because it's still technically activating, you just can't read the Killer's aura. The Killer should still be able to see yours though.

And also makes the abysmally quick generators even quicker because everyone wants their serums to unlock hindering cosmetics, basically reducing this game from "how can I win this game" to "how much can i commit property theft and rub it into the opposite team's emotionless face"
The gens have absolutely nothing to do with the serums. You can only get them from the rift. The gens are just for a few more points.
-
Whatever they did to fix the archives caused some people to have some progression already. It's yours to use, they won't take it away. That's what their tweet said.
-
The devs removed the ability to sabo event hooks for the last event. I don't know if that is the case this time.
-
What did you expect? Too many stupid people hated the plants last year.
-
Already nerfed the Nurse add-ons that made her play like old Nurse. LOL

There are so many threads and comments about "have to xyz to 4k" why are so many killer mains so entitled? Imagine if survivor players didn't consider it a fun game unless all 4 escaped. Ugh. "I hate i have to do xyz for all 4 of us to escape" or such.
What is wrong with someone trying to play their best? Also, emblem system requires your best as a killer once you get to higher ranks.
-
If you can't bait it out and you somehow have time to kill, the perk deactivates when the Survivor gets AFK Crows.

Dont you know? If a killer runs endgame perks, it clearly means he's garbage...even if he stomps you before you ever GET to endgame while only using 3 perks.
That's my favorite flavor of Salt.
"I was going to compliment you on beating us with 4 gens left, but I see you are a dirty, unconfident NoED user."
"So, I soundly won with only 3 perks?"
"......"
-
Why do Bones when you can just blame the Killer for being a scumbag trash player when you get your butt beat by NoED? Then go complain about it on the forums later?
Much less effort.
-
If you're worried about the dev getting embarrassed on twitch, OP. You're too late.
TO VALHALLA!
-
A little known fact: If you don't DC, your chances of winning go up exponentially.
A lot of Survivors don't seem to understand that.

Maybe the first couple of hours facing her. After that it's just annoying. Horror and fear doesn't work well after too much repetition. That's when the game feel/gameplay is important.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/791253#Comment_791253
It's a problem because like Scott wrote, it's important for the game feel that both sides needs to feel in control in some way. Moonwalks and loops e.g. aren't comparable with Spirits facing. Look at Nurse e.g. She works better, because even though you can't loop her and her entire chase game is different, is that she still gives survivor feedback and play. Different play than other killers, but isn't annoying like Spirit is. Or old Legion.
Except that Killers have had to deal with almost zero control at the majority of loops for some time now. Between Killers being visible over most loops and the red stain being seen through walls, only Survivors have had control. Now that the Spirit holds control at loops, it's the end of the world.
That's my counterpoint to the OP. He says there isn't enough interaction between Killer and Survivor? I agree, except it's been that way this whole time, but Survivors didn't care, since it was in their favor. Now it's in the Spirit's favor and suddenly it's a problem.
-
What's wrong with having one Killer who's power forces Survivors to play differently instead of being in total control at the loop and only needing to react to anything the Killer tries?
That's the problem, Survivors are too used to being able to just watch the Killer at most loops, making them completely unmindgameable. Then the ones where you actually can't see the Killer trying to moonwalk or something is still in the Survivor's favor because of perks like Dead Hard and Iron Will.
-
For both sides: Disconnecting Cryhards

@Almo said:
Nurse kill rate isn't super high... when averaged across all players. The chart you saw a while back was averaged across all players.
If you just take top ranks, she's very high.
So are we going to see a bunch of buffs to the remaining killers then? Seeing as how we are suddenly just going by the high rank statistics.
-
@C3Tooth said:
It means Killer is setting up their load out to counter Survivors load out. Killer creates Lobby, means Killer is always in Lobby waiting for 4 Survivors.
The tally mark is black, not grey. The killer does not create the lobby while dedicated servers are active.
-
Yes, it's possible with dedicated servers.

You don’t need to slug for the 4k to get 1 or even 2 pipe as killer. Git gud
So you don't need to get as many chases/hits/hookings as humanly possible? What game are you playing?

No, base nurse was not fine. If you master her, the survivors are screwed. No two ways about it.
A lot of people seem to have the narrow-minded view that if something takes skill, then it's allowed to be overpowered. That's how we end up with metas like the current Killer meta, where Nurse and Spirit are pretty much the only killers you see at red ranks. It makes the game boring and stale for anyone who truly masters it.
The game should be more fun, more varied and have more depth as you get better at it. It should never be restricted to a meta where everyone plays exactly the same way.
You call for more varied gameplay, but Nurse and Spirit need nerfs due to the fact they are meta against the only tactic Survivors have used in years? Wut?
-
Why would you discourage a strategy that the emblem system practically demands for at high ranks?
-
Still have yet to see what info they are basing this basekit nerf off of, because even the ones they provided forever ago didn't have her kill rate very high, iirc.
