Again, comms in game or comms on discord, whats the difference?
In game comms won't be used. Balancing around comms that won't be used is a bad idea imo.

SWFs which is co-oridnated and can destroy killers easily
My 41% ER playing mostly SWF says otherwise.
Most swfs end up with a lower escape rate than they realistically should because they tend to be super altruistic.
@topic That assumes people would use the in game comms. Which the majority wouldn't.

I can understand why, like i said, some people could just simply think "i dont like what you said, i have no valid logical argument against it so i will give a downvote". Makes sense to me, dont like it but cant dispute it? downvote it lol. Im tempted to see how many downvotes i can actually rack up with 1 post lol….push the limits just to see 🤣
I don't think it's nearly as simple as don't like what is said but can't argue against it. I think alot of them don't see the reason to spend time arguing with someone if they don't believe that person will listen.

true the option exists so people will do it which is why the many many downvotes i often get makes no difference to me. But im still under the opinion that downvotes offer nothing to a thread in a discussions forum. Not much i can do about other people, just have to say my bit and leave the downvoters to their own little bubble if they dont want to partake in the discussions.
I mean personally I've never given any mind to up or down votes. They don't actually matter. I can understand why people just leave an up or down vote without commenting though as it usually feels pointless to comment. Most of the community is in their bubble of whichever side they main and they won't really consider an opposing view.

well thats subjective, However these are in the section of the forums called "general discussions". productive or not, discussions are what these are about. simply downvoting without contributing anything towards the discussion is not what this is about, its not general voting lol.
True but the option exists. Plus given the fit the OP threw when they started getting down voted can you really blame people for not wanting to engage with that?

This is fine IMO. I think it is a Perk which should not be used if you actually want to improve at the game, but it is better if the Perk is mainly used by M1-Killers who actually have to deal with Pallets and not by those who shred through them with their abilities.
Idk seems silly to nerf an already weak perk that doesn't see much use. It would be different if they buffed it as well. Maybe give it reduces stun duration from the pallet that triggers Spirit Fury.

they do that regardless
Tbf that's because so many perks are bad and not worth running. Which is true on both sides but survivors do get a bit more variety at least.

I mean i think the concept of upvotes and downvotes are stupid in general. You ever watch The Orville?
I have though it's been a while and haven't gotten around to finishing it.

The difference is when someone agrees with another person its usually self explanatory. "yes i agree with you" no further explanation is required, people dont ask "why do you agree with me?". But when someone disagrees, its natural to ask "why do you not agree?". This promotes a discussion where both can discuss their points, both can learn and be enlightened by that discussion. To simply downvote implying they dont agree without explaining why is….odd.
Person A "i dont like what you just said"
Person B "ok, why dont you like it, what about it dont you like?"
Person A "im not telling you and i dont have to"
Good discussion there, truly belongs in the general discussions part of the forums lol.
It can promote a discussion sure. However it's pretty rare for that discussion to be at all productive.

That may be true, but then they just shouldn't engage at all. Downvoting then leaving is cowardly and doesn't really make your opinion valid in that case.
So you shouldn't be allowed to down vote something without writing an explanation? In what world does that make sense? Should you be allowed to upvote without comment?
-
Not really. Most all my games end with the gens finished.

And most people don’t even bother to formulate a response for why they disagree. They just lob their anonymous downvote bomb and run away. It’s a stupid feature of the forum. At minimum they should make it visible who is downvoting so you can see who is logging on simply to downvote people whose opinions they don’t like, sometimes with multiple alt accounts.
Have you considered people read the OP's opinion and concluded they wouldn't be interested in an actual discussion so they didn't waste their time?
-
Basically they canceled every change except the medkit addon changes.
-
13.5 on PS for some reason.

It's never been my favorite game tbh. I tend to go in spurts of playing. I play until the game becomes more frustrating than fun then take a break. My longest break was two years.
-
Fr I hate the rework so much.
-
I haven't played the update (honestly can't see a reason to do so as it looks terrible) but I remember around the anniversary I was playing on McMillan and I swear I broke at least 25 pallets and there were still some left when the game was over. Some maps needed a pallet boost but the McMillan realm wasnt one.
-
I mean it happens everytime an item/addon is nerfed/reworked.

The comparison is that if too much of tunneling is removed from DBD, it doesn't really have a major component of horror anymore. Horror games are supposed to have tension… the threat that killers are dangerous throughout the entire game, and the threat that someone might be removed from the game early.
If too much of tunneling is actually removed from DBD, then survivors will go large periods of time not actually being worried about the killer. And the killer role won't actually feel like it's killing for large portions of the game.
That is what killed VHS, because the killer role didn't feel like a killer role. Most asymmetrical games like this, die when the killer population is way too low to sustain the queues.
I mean tunneling never once created a feeling of tension or horror. It just created frustration and annoyance.

They could use it to make Skull Merchant ideas and wasted it on a rework no one needed.
Michael needed some love but I hate this rework.

The survivor bloodweb needs a massive overhaul. There's so much useless clutter.

Well 1 out of 3 zombie licenses ended up with killers the others survivors only, so id imagine dead island being another survivor only chapter. I mostly played as Xian Mei.
I'm more of a Sam B/Purna guy myself. Though I did love those one shot decapitations with a machete.

Sure would be awesome to see as someone who has beaten all main games, but who would be the killer as all the special infected are unique like the Floater or the big one in the straight jacket who charges at you i forgot his name.
I figure Ryder White (end game boss) could be the killer.

not terrible, just far more situational now in solo q. in a swf, the perk is still S tier since they can 99 the last gen and wait for everyone to be in a good spot where adrenaline is at a good time to activate (getting off hook or all 4 survs injured with adren). other than that, i would not use this perk in solo q since it’s a double gamble if the perk will even work.
That's why it's terrible imo. It used to be situational but still potentially really powerful to far too situational to useful in solo-queue
-
Adrenaline is terrible imo.
-
Probably just oversaturation of dash killers. Depending on how you define them about 25% of the killers are a dash/mobility killer of some kind. Ghoul being the most recent example and a nearly universally hated one at that.
-
I think a better approach is making his traps be able to be collected from lockers. That alone would be a massive time saver. Maybe make his traps setting a little faster and longer haste after he sets a trap. I'd also make Rusted, Lengthened, and Serrated Jaws basekit.
-
I hope they remove the speed nerf from Scratched Mirror. That would make it alot of fun on most maps. For tier two maybe a slightly faster pallet breaking animation and longer lunge. Tier 3 could maybe just be a mini Enduring and a slightly weaker basekit Brutal Strength.

This is a hilarious overexaggeration over a achievement you'll get with normal play. This isn't Evil Incarnate or Jump Scared, where you have to buy a licensed character and then interact with mechanics that are incredibly difficult to perform consistently to get a achievement, or the Huntress orbital achievement, which requires knowledge of maps, control over the hatchets, and likely also throw matches to grind it if you're not a fan of Huntress. Hell, this isn't even Hand Eye Coordination, which requires a player seperate from you to have Vecna, and for you to successfully roll a 20, attune to the item you recieve, and then not die. This is a map achievement, and map achievements come naturally.
The difference is (with the exception of the Vecna one) you are in control of getting those achievements. You aren't relying on pure luck to carry you to getting them.
-
Doesn't turning crossplay off also shut off match making incentives?
-
I was spreading my points alot. Getting alot of characters to P3.

It didn't take that many hours either. I managed to get almost 50 prestige levels in the span of 3 weeks, playing around 4-5 hours per night.
If you played every night that's a pretty decent chunk of hours.

Considering that he was released during the anniversary event, I bet getting prestige levels went by fast.
Speaking from experience, since I went from P56 to P100 on Sable during that time.Yeah I thought about that afterwards. Dude still had to play alot to farm it that fast. I don't have any P100 characters. Not that I've been trying to get any though.

A better question is how did they get matched to my low quality self. Buddy was crazy good. Earned that p100.
My match making in a nutshell. I play survivor bet I'll get a killer way better than me and/or teammates that are the biggest potatos Idaho ever saw. Then I'll play killer and get babies or seal team 6 almost never anything in between.
-
How he hell is there already a P100 Springtrap running around?

I wouldn't call spooknjukes toxic (camping and tunneling aren't toxic), but his tactics are often pretty lame.
SpookyLoopz is actually pretty good.
But no one deserves threats for calling people out on their actual, verifiable, BS.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3985423#Comment_3985423
RC is a god-tier gimp and deserves to have his accounts nuked. The only things he does is rage bait and get absolutely decimated in debates.
As I recall he is doing those things trying to enrage people. So imo that would make him pretty toxic.
-
I'd rather see a basekit Corrupt that acts like normal Corrupt (blocks the farthest three gens) but ends as soon as the killer starts a chase. I think that would benefit setup/slow start killers while not being a huge buff to the high mobility/high tier killers.

oh so this is a straight up lie. I was an avid TCM player and can say with experience it made TCM 1000000% times better and majority of the time if someone didnt speak, you ask them to speak and they spoke. dont just come on here lying to people man.
I played TCM for hundreds of hours. For the first month or so people would talk. After that it almost never happened. You got people with mics more when playing family but even then it was rare.
-
So people are cry babies because they don't want what you want?
-
@AcesSpeedo said:
voice chat would save solo q but no one wants solo q to be fixed it seems.
anyone saying it would be bad has never played any other multiplayer games, buff killer if you need to, but comms would revive whats missing from solo q, whether people would like it or not.
It would not save solo-queue at all. F13 and TCM both had voice chat built in. They were rarely used and when they were it was 50/50 at best whether it would be used for the intended purpose. Now try and tell me that the DbD community wouldn't be at least as bad if not worse.
-
The reward was so pitiful I doubt anyone really noticed or much cared tbh.
-
Well, more garbage to clutter the bloodwebs and inventories.
-
I work third shift so when I play it's late at night. Not exactly conducive to finding people to play with. Plus it's pretty rare I come across a player that I'd like to be matched with again tbh. Solo-queue can be rough but I still (mostly) enjoy the game. When I stop enjoying it I take a break. Sometimes a very long break.
-
Jesus two survivors again. The number of survivors is really getting out of hand.
-
Next time you see multiple flashlights bring Lightborn.
-
It needs a full rework. It's pretty useless in it's current state but pre-nerf it wasn't a healthy perk.
