So if a killer main wants to feel viable with a killer other than Nurse or Billy, they're whiny? Gotcha. Not everyone has 6 hours a day to play and become a god.

    >Viable

    >4k every game

    Wrong word, bro.

  • Mettle of Man is like Dead Hard, but with a lot of extra steps and asterisks attached.

Buckle Up would be a very useful solo survivor perk, so you know when it's worth it to try and heal someone in a desperate situation.

Flip-Flop sounds pretty broken based on its current description. It will definitely get a penalty, cooldown, or usage limit of some kind.

  • This would be a very unusual Spirit nerf if it was even an intentional nerf. I'd call that a bug.

  • Third Seal: Hitting a survivor reduces their aura reading by 8/16/24 meters per hit.

It would require a rework to Knockout and Empathy, but god damn I really want to see Third Seal become a thing.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. I normally never say this, but please, for the love of your eyeballs, get a console.

You could spend the money you'd pay for a console on some PC upgrades instead. lol

I used to do crazy config edits for Vindictus (I think there's an archive of my O.G. post floating on the net, still), and the game would look like Motocross Madness.

  • I don't think it's overpowered; I think Gates are too weak. Once all 5 generators are up, it's very much in the survivors' favor in most situations where they're alive when this occurs. Sure, there's freak games where survivors go full #########, and somehow games turn from 0K into 4K to a NOED or Blood Warden, but it's not a realistic scenario.

Having two gates is fine, but how fast they tend to open is not--especially with nothing impeding them but a single perk: Remember Me; something that requires very specific build-up.

  • @Crow said:

People that think Susie is cute are those kind of virgin nerds that ship Huntress with Nurse and all that ######### up #########.

    Hag is bae.

  • 24% was probably a bit too strong, but 20-22% for 4 injured survivors would've sounded good. 5/10/15/20, or 6/11/16/20, or something.

  • I'd love a Xenomorph, but let's be real... Alien: Isolation's instant-kill depiction is pretty accurate, and it's hard to justify them in any way for Dead by Daylight. You also have to factor in their unusual vision, ability to climb anything and everything, and use their tails for fatal attacks from a short distance.

I thought all mice, or at least all mice used by gamers, had a button to adjust the sensitivity. I'm surprised to hear that isn't the case.

I prefer using the software, but some modern gaming mice to have a DPI button switch. I won't cite Razer, cause they're worthless products, but my Zowie FK-2 does. It even has an option to switch from Right to Left handed orientation.

  • Since "nobody uses it" and at least one survivor will DC on the loading screen, this is, in essence, a "turn your trial into a 3v1" offering.

This is a huge gamble. If they aren't afraid of it being an Ebony Mori, you just greatly increased the chances they'll spawn on different generators and rush you.

  • great for both survivors and killers, promotes not camping and tunneling, gives the killer great bloodpoints as well as good intel every time they hook someone; and it's easily countered.

It really doesn't promote avoiding camping and tunneling, since the reward has nothing to do with either of those things.

  • Balance cannot be gauged on just the killer: addons, perks, and even the very maps influence their effectiveness. Doctor is absolutely broken on The Game, along with the Nurse. The Pig's only map where Ambush can really be effective is Lery's. Myers is stronger on the maps with low obstructions (which is most of them).

Pig is a well balanced killer, as her addons aren't all that strong most of the time due to RNG, but her power still costs survivors time. Her build influences how effective she is as well, and Spirit and Hag can vary wildly on perks, along with Doctor and Nurse.

I consider Hillbilly broken as sin because he doesn't need perks or addons to be effective at all, so everyone runs almost the same build on him, and there's no way to deal with it if he's any bit decent at being a killer. His very over-the-top design on mobility and one-shots isn't fair in the slightest, and considerably narrows map design potential in relation to other killers. Even Nurse isn't quite as bad to deal with most of the time, since the skill ceiling for Hillbilly is about 20 stories less than her. His power has multiple perks built in, just like the Doctor's (another killer whose design I have a problem with).

  • How tall is our new barf-y waifu?

  • I don't quit against Legion, but I will against Hillbilly.

LEgion isn't even as bad to face as Doctor most of the time.

  • A Thanatophobia nerf will never be justified precisely due to how bad Coulrophobia is outside of being on paper.

In most cases, you're better off using Monitor & Abuse + A Nurse's Calling, rather than Coulrophobia + Distressing (+ Sloppy Butcher).

Like Third Seal, Sloppy Butcher still requires you to hit the survivor, and that is a huge factor in its effectiveness throughout a match. Couple this with Sloppy Butcher becoming largely weakened if you're not injuring multiple survivors in a short span, and you're setting yourself up for an unhelpful perk build.

I like Coulrophobia, but it's very niche, and often outclassed.

There is a real claudette and meg out there?

    I am scared.

Claudette is super cute, though. D:

  • Iron Maiden seems like a godly Doctor perk.

  • As a killer: 3~ minutes.

As a survivor: 45 minutes. I AFKed 3 times to watch YouTube and use the bathroom, so I wasn't technically "there" for over half of it, but the Hillbilly was, since he pulled me out after all of that time. lel

Would this be a great solution? Yeah, probably. Are the devs going to put that much work for each killer? NEVER, maybe in a different parallel universe lol

It would be far easier, and better, to just tweak unique exception contributions for each killer.

  • This is an incredibly niche scenario, and honestly, I would applaud the survivors for getting this mindgame to work. There isn't a locker in a lot of paths to hooks.

  • @Gamzello said:

Everyone thought Spirit was trash/weak as well during the PTB. After a few minor tweaks she was ready to go live. She’s now considered a high tier killer.

    Legion...we don’t talk about them...

Aside from that she seems alright. I feel like if people were to play her more enough they would get the hang of her just like how people had to learn how to use Spirit properly.

Spirit was pretty weak until they changed the audio on her phasing, and that didn't occur until after her launch. --It was a very impacting buff.

  • I always said Ruin needs to be reworked into being baseline--not a flimsy hex perk--and actually affect solo repairs in a significant way, rather than partnered repairs.

  • It can actually be a negative, as odd as that sounds.

Forcing survivors closer to the trapper (and the Hag by the same concept), will make it harder for him to place traps in excellent locations that every survivor is unaware of.

Strategically, I play the trap heroes by honeycombing a quadrant, half, or section of the map, and then push into the untrapped areas to herd them into my nests. It's harder if the survivors can counter them or be close enough to view/hear where you're setting up.

The thing about the "Gen lock down perk" is that it still leaves 5 gens untouched meaning you can still have 4 gens being done and once the other gens pop up then the killer has lost a perk.

I think we are going to see some more troll Doctor players using the "gen lock down perk" to set up a perfect 3 gen strat right off the bat.

There's still RNG to stage that automatically, and if it gets abused by Doctor, hopefully they'll end up reworking him (finally).

The main boon to Corrupt Intervention for a killer is that it forces survivors closer, and makes finding people faster/easier. Further locking people out of the furthest generators enables more useful early pressure with Distressing/Unnerving/Overcharge, etc. Having everyone forced closer to you helps your momentum get started through earlier hits and hooks.

It won't stop gen rushing in a traditional sense, but it'll enable a killer to keep up better, and potentially pressure generators longer. For people that like to directly slow generators down, this is a fantastic perk for getting yourself started. It's not a game changer, but it's interesting to see how players will attempt to deal with it.

  • From what I've seen, survivors can get barfed on at loops and pallets, and attempting to loop too long ultimately results in them injured/broken anyway.

I'm unsure on how I'd build her perks, though.

If all the wells are corrupt at once they ALL become clean again.

This concerns me versus SWF. Can survivors automatically see the pools at all times, like Jigsaw Boxes?

  • Spine Chill doesn't counter Pig as hard as Sprint Burst does. You can see her coming from a mile away on any map with low obstructions (all farm maps, swamp maps, most of Red Forest, etc.). On top of this, if walls are close and wrap around to objectives, you'll likely here her breathing before she's in range. This makes Lery's her strongest map, but again, her breathing... It's louder than Myers, imo.

    @[Deleted User] said:

There really isn’t a perk counter to The Afterpiece Tonic. Maybe sprint burst, but I know I can equip Solvent Jug if I suspect a lot of exhaustion perks are going to be equipped.

Calm Spirit prevents the scream, which can be useful.

  • I still find it funny that her power is projectile vomiting. My mom could do that with some Albuterol.

  • If I'm interested in the killer, I'll buy them and use my shards elsewhere.

The only non-cosmetic I want right now is the Clown, and it's solely for Bamboozle.

I main David and black metal Jeff, and i switch up perks all the time.

Among my favorite survivor perks is Spine Chill, its amazing once you learn how to use it.

For Killers, i mained Trapper for quite a while until my main became Freddy in October. No regrets picking up what people claimed was the worst, nowadays its accepted here that he is way better than we gave credit for.

You also have to remember that Freddy came out before any significant survivor nerfs at all. There was BNPs, worse totem spawns, less counters to DS, instant flashlights, more pallets, no rework to sound or lighting in-game...

Killers are actually the entitled ones these days. lol

  • "Purple" skirt and brown/green/blue shirt from the shop, depending on the map. Her defaults are solid, but I don't think her P3 is stealthy at all.

  • Is this... a killer asking for DS to NOT be nerfed?

Why should only a miniscule amount of players be able to utilize BASIC tracking tools of this game? The idea behind that is flawed beyond levels. True and Monto for example set their volume so ridiculously high that they'll need a hearing aid themselves in a few years.

I don't recall Tru3 or Monto being deaf. It only takes a half-decent pair of headphones to properly hear everything, since they fixed the audio space with the Emblem update. Before that, you did have to strain to hear survivors' running (such as when you were blinded as the killer), but it was very doable without loud volume.

Audio is an inherently good tool for tracking, but it's not the only one, either.

  • Removing infinites and give more visual obstructions overall would be nice. I'd rather the game shift to a greater stealth/juke design.

  • As Spirit, chase towards a pallet, stop, look around and pretend to phase.

Sometimes, survivors come back to you, or even throw the pallet and jump over it to you. xD

Alternatively as Pig: going through loops and fluttering the Ambush roar. I've had this lead into hits, but I'm not actually sure it plays the roar multiple times in the same Ambush.

  • Aesthetic: Jake or Bill, particularly due to the new lighting system. Their faded greens/greys blend in very well now.

It's map-dependent, though, as Adam blends in quite well on Backwater Swamp.

  • The ability for survivors to see Jigsaw Box auras is reduced from Unlimited to 12 meters.

  • @HatCreature said:

There has been a bug going around where the ''grab'' doesn't register and instead gives you a basic attack but it's mostly been for Gens and windows.

That's because there's timing involved for all grabs. You can't grab as soon as they start the animation, but part-way through.

For the hatch, it's roughly when their feet hit the smoke, and as far as their neck still being visible. For windows coming to you, you have to wait until they're halfway through, and for windows going through, you have to be right up to them and initiate the attack when they're in the vaulting motion.

  • So, it's not just me thinking Red Forest became incredibly rare to see in the wild now.

  • I prefer Monitor & Abuse with A Nurse's Calling. Your third synergistic perk can be Make Your Choice, Sloppy Butcher, NOED, or a tracking perk.

Go against marth88s Depip squad and lose with your OP trapper in 5-8 mins

Because every match at red ranks is identical to Marth88's team? lul

  • I won't prestige Meg and Nurse because they both have moonlight offerings.

  • Him being invisible is one of the worst things about him. You can't really stealth around him, unless there's miraculously grass everywhere... and he's not listening for your movement.

  • As any killer main will know, survivors have so many unfair advantages that getting a single sacrifice in rank 14 and above is something to celebrate as 95% of the time everyone will get away and not due to a killer's lack of skill either.(STFU all you wannabe liars, you know damn well you rarely get sacrifices in later ranks so quit trolling!) So most post rank 14 kills will just focus on getting as many points as possible to avoid depipping or at best, get a pip.

Are you just an insanely bad killer, or trolling? The only time I've had less than 2 sacrifices in a match, since 2017 started the survivor nerf train, was a week or two ago when I was testing perks on an alt killer and doing a daily.

If you're getting less than 2, you're going to be stuck in lower ranks most of the time, though Emblem will still rank you up pretty easily.

Pig is a mid-game/snowball killer, and the traps aren't supposed to secure the endgame. I've had four traps out with both exit gates open, but that didn't guarantee me four kills.

  • To be honest, original killers allow a lot more creativity in aesthetic and gameplay.

Sure, Michael Myers is iconic, but his gameplay isn't... particularly interesting from either side.

Comparatively, the Hag, Spirit, and Legion were a lot more interesting.

  • It's a good perk that isn't particularly situational. It usually takes the slot of Make Your Choice or NOED on my killers.

It's exceptionally strong with Spirit and Hag, since they get a lot of benefit out of Monitor & Abuse and A Nurse's Calling together.
