I don't think he needs a re-make just some QoL changes would be fine.
Traps are not scattered but in lockers.
Trapper sack is default, stitched bag is buffed by 1 held trap.
-
New hatch is way better than the old one.
Old one was an auto win for survivor even if they didn't find it before the killer because the only way the killer could win is if the survivor was stupid enough to jump.
If the killer, swung/downed the survivor it didn't matter they still won, hell even pig traps didn't stop it.

You don't tunnel? So you are trying to have us believe is you down and hook a survivor, find another survivor and hook him then find the other survivor and eat a DS, all within 60-80 seconds?
The fact you are complaining about it means this happens regularly, either you are tunnelling or the survivors are idiots in which case re-catching them after eating that stun shouldn't be too hard.

I'm on my stag do this weekend, but next week i'm going to spend the whole day camping hooks and will message the survivors asking if they enjoyed the game. I'll also see how many are saved successfully to see how much of a chance they have.
I'll post my results to my YouTube channel.
I will do the same, i will message killers asking if they enjoyed being looped and ask if they enjoyed the game.
Did you read what i put? Lust is not a factor on loops, loopers know how to break LoS there is no lust. The Disturbed Ward is a great example of this.
-
Pretty sure closing the hatch powers the gates, so they will get another chance to get out, but this should also activate NoED in the process.
Bottom line the person that finds the hatch first is likely to win as it always should have been.
-
Yup that is how it should work.
Basically no more standoff, you get the hatch first or you lose, in this case you can still get a door to get out so not all is lost.
That's how it always should have been.
-
"I also disagree with your statement regarding looping. It's completely different. There are so many more factors that can impact looping - the map, perks, skill, pallet position etc. Camping a hook is just that, camping at a hook"
Not really no.
Every map has one, one build works for all of them, MoM, Adrenaline, Balanced Landing and DS, some of the loops like Haddonfield houses and Abattoir loop doesn't even require pallets, the obstacles and multiple chances to drop LoS mean they can't even lust you.
Anyone that is not a Billy or Nurse is not going to catch you unless you make a mistake.

I'm honestly surprised at how many people actually defend this behaviour. I'm curious to know why? Why do you want Killers to camp hooks?
Is it because you do it? Or is it because you prefer grinding points and would rather win easy without a Killer being present?
It's so black and white for me, I think this would make it more enjoyable for everyone.
Because 9/10 times the person is being disingenuous.
They exaggerate, act as if every killer they face decides to just facecamp for nothing, been playing for 1 year now and been facecamped MAYBE half a dozen times.
Most of the time it's because they hide right next to hooks then loop the killer around it and cry camper.
Camping is a legit strat if the killer chooses to use it, no different to looping, hook blocking.
It's not against ANY rules to do it.
Is it scummy? sure but so is running infinities with a wealth of 2nd chance perks.

Some killers are already toxic, and if the forum is to be believed, they also "tunnel" (whatever that means) all the time, so clearly it isn't working.
"Tunnelling" is the act of a survivor unhooking a person in front of you and then expecting to to respect that survivors "Safe space" and not hitting them again until they have had sufficient time to have a cry and heal up.
See also "Camper" this is the act of catching another survivor vulturing the hook similar to "Tunnelling" except this time you don't allow that unhook, the survivor instead of running away then proceed to run you around that persons hook before disconnecting and calling you a "Camping F*****"

Yeh and thank god for the first time since the borrowed time nerf, there is finally a counter, and even then you need to use 3 perk slots to stand a chance. Literally read what you put before, and think how hard it is to get that situation perfectly the way you describe it. A counter needs to be a viable option, but most players won't have all those perks like i do. I actually run that build, just so i can not be face camped, but even those games if they only target me, i will still die.
Literally you have killers ruining their own games just to kill one survivor they didn't like. Maybe a camping nerf would actually help the idiots who think it's a good idea to stay around the hook.
Lastly i mentioned looping and windows as a further example to parts of the game where changes have been made to nerf broken 'strategies'. You keep saying killers should be able to play how they like. But Survivors liked being able to vacuum pallets, use infinites, get flashlight saves, but they nerfed all of those things because yes they were stupidly powerful, but even then at least they took skill. You're right that camping is less game ruining than infinites were, but on the other hand, at least there was SOME mindgame around infinites and SOME skill in using them. Camping you just need half a functioning brain and a motive to kill and it's ggez, so camping needs to go.
"But Survivors liked being able to vacuum pallets, use infinites, get flashlight saves, but they nerfed all of those things because yes they were stupidly powerful"
So we have established reasons as to why they were nerfed, you say it took skill, yet use of it was so widespread they had to nerf it, so did it really take skill, are that many players in this game THAT good?
"Camping you just need half a functioning brain and a motive to kill and it's ggez"
Actually no you don't camping should reward nothing, with the amount of gen rush, and second chance perks. it takes a really stupid team to get done in by a simple camper.

Then play killer that has counter around loops. Billy, huntress , spirit, clown
Huntress counters loops? LuL no no no she's one of the easiest to pallet loop in the game.
Spirit, Clown, and Nurse yes.
Billy doesn't even counter loops he's quite loopable as long as you understand the hitboxes on the chainsaw after playing some games as him.
Problem is most killers more specifically lower tier ones have no way of countering loops effectively, and have you seen the ones that do?

I would find it more fun if the button to hit the skill check changed each time.
Like the skillchecks would be slower (not too slow) but the button to hit the skillcheck changed each time.
So maybe i have to press X instead of Space.
So nerves of steel or fail the SC
The button pool would be limited so it cannot be ANY key but still gives more interaction than just Spacebar.

There are three perks related to chests: Ace in the Hole, Pharmacy, Plunderer's Instinct.
Not necessarily.
If what they find is a key for example, which the odd of would be increased since there would be more chests, that could end the trial earlier.
Not to mention increasing the number of flashlights in a game is not exactly a good thing.
Can you imagine seeing 0 lights on the loading screen only for the game to finish with all 4 getting one? oooof.

That still wouldn't guarantee that that guy (sometimes it's me, I admit it) without chest perks will open all of them leaving brown toolboxes and broken keys behind.
Easy fix for that @White_Owl make it so the basement chest is a different colour and call it the "Killers lockbox" then change it so only those with plunderers can open the "Killers lockbox"

The rank reset wouldn't be a problem if the matchmaking was any good.
Sure on the DAY of the reset you might get some recently dropped high-rankers or some people that have been rank 15 for the whole of the previous season but that would iron itself out fairly quickly couple days tops but as it stands currently ranks mean nothing in terms of the matchmaking.
I could get a rank 2 killer at rank 10 survivor.
As a rank 13 killer i can get rank 1 survivors because they queued with their rank 19 friend.
-
I do love me some
-
I really wish they would remove all these types of perks.
Seriously alot of these Ace/Pharmacy/Plunderers players do is spend the entire game hunting down chests for their free purple medkit/flashlight.
Then they get a cheap hatch/escape off the back of other peoples efforts.
They normally have 5k+ points less than every other survivor on the team it's gross.
-
Do you main a killer in particular or play all of them? Also what platform?
-
I used to run a healer build for fun.
Dead Hard, Self Care, Botany Knowledge and We will make it, the speed on healing someone else after the unhook is insane.
Alot of fun to be had with that.
-
The 3 most complained about things as survivor.
NoED, Nurse, Billy
NoED is because B, C, D tier (Especially M1) killers can't map pressure because the meta gen rushes and the maps keep getting bigger.
But i still believe NoED is fine, you can just get rid of the totems i did that all last night as survivor and the totems were gone after 1-2 gens tops.
Nurse and Billy, because they have the most map pressure.
What needs to change, Nurse nerfed and the rest of the killer roster bought up to the same map pressure as Billy.
Don't wanna do that BVHR? shrink the maps then. 10k tiles is about the sweet spot in map size.

I dunno Survivor queue's are pretty fast, 10 seconds vs a good 3 to 5 minutes on Killer would suggest there's a far greater disproportionate number of Killers queuing up to Survivors than the 1 to 4 ratio requires.
Most of the time it's just too hard finding matches as Killer because too many people are riding the easy train for me to bother waiting so I just give up and play Survivor for a much shorter queue time.
For me that's the opposite.
Killer queues are instant, survivor especially with duo's takes alot longer.
And decent portion of killers are only playing for the BP for their survivors not because they think killer is fun and want to play it.
And that gets worse the more you climb, killers get less and less and the ones you do find are all Billy and Nurse mains.
-
This perk is very outdated and nowadays sees no use (except from Adept Doctors) because it mostly works against flashlights (which have been seriously nerfed since the perk appeared in the game) since the other iteams are generally used far from the killer, and Franklin's Demise achieves the same goal but better, since it also counters insta-heals.
Haha Distressing, Overcharge, Unnerving Presence, Overwhelming presence.

Every map still pretty much has 1 infinite in it with a survivor running Balanced Landing. This should be 0.
You should either escape and hide or get downed, you should never be able to run a killer indefinitely via broken map design.
Hell the shack if you can drop chase for a moment to unbrick the window works for this.
And the pallet change? 1 per map on average. Well bugger me that felt so different.
Oh and they re-added double pallets on some tiles that was real nice.

Slugging, tunneling, and patrolling/camping. The perk, in my opinion, is designed to be a survivor's version of Ruin. It wastes the Killer's time if they choose to pursue the Obsession. However, the way the Obsession system works currently kinda makes the perk extremely broken because every survivor can have it and it can guarantee a ######### endgame for the Killer.
Seriously, the only way to prevent this perk from be nerfed straight into F-tier but to make sure it's not as broken as it is now, is to force it so only survivor can have it in a game. One. Only one. It's just like DS back in the day, that was truly a god awful time. I can see the arguments for making it so only bodyblocking hits count when the Killer is carrying a survivor but at that point, it's too much of a headache. I'd rather run Aftercare or Bond or something.
Except Ruin lasts 30 seconds not an entire game and MoM under some circumstances can get used more than once and the killer can't have 4 of them!
And it's ran in conjunction with DS, so if the killer wants to burn their MoM early on they will get a DS instead, oh and up to 4 of those.
The problem it's not just ANOTHER second chance perk it's the fact they all work with each other.
Unlike Ruin where that is the only real choice for that kind of perk.
If you could only run 1 a bit like how Dead Hard vs Sprint Burst.
You pick by preference because you can only realistically use 1 because of exhaustion, with 2nd chance perks you can run them all in conjunction with each other.
And there lies your problem.
Camping = Borrowed Time is meta.
Slugging = not optimal unless you're Billy or Nurse
Tunnelling = DS and extra hit from MoM Itself.
And lets not forget the masses of complaints on this forum "Omg i get tunnelled" "Omg i get camped" "Omg NoED"
Right now survivors have it so easy, and this is coming from a 50/50 player.
I straight up refuse to use MoM it's a disgusting P2W perk that easily outshines any other survivor perk in the game.

"Well, neither is getting stunned, looped, blinded, or genrushed, just to name a few." Stunned by palet.. you can moonwalk so dodge the stun, to counter loop you can flick your mouse,blinded-lightborn,genrush-hexruin,getting blocked by stw when someone wiggle- mad grid.. there are lot of counters. And i think there isnt any counter vs camp
There are many counters against getting camped.
Not getting caught for one, 15 pallets per game, infinite loops, flashlight saves, hook blocking.
Teammates with BT.
MoM
DS after the first one.
Lightborn and Mad Grit are memes no self respecting killers run these and it's a big disadvantage to do so since most flashlights come on pickup so your face is locked at a point your only option is to drop the survivor.
Hex ruin does not counter Genrush lol it lasts maybe 30 seconds into a game and decent survivors can still hit skillchecks on it.
I played a killer game and lost Ruin before i could even get to it because a survivor spawned right next to it, every Hex perk in this game is a joke lol.
Ruin does not bother me as survivor i just work through it.

I had game as Clown against SWF sabo team yesterday with 3 Alex's toolbox and 1 instaheal medkit. 3 died as slugs, last one on hook with 2 gens done. When I see sabo team, I dont hesitate to slug and protect my slugs after. I cant recall if it was safe pip or +1 pip, but it's just simple and effective tactic to punish ppl that messes with my hooks.
Brah do they even Breakdown?
-
Permaban no but punishments yes.
1 = Warning
2 DC within 10 games = 50% BP reduction for 5 games.
3 DC within 15-20 games = 50% BP Reduction AND Account XP reduction for 5 games.
5 DC within 30 games = 1 day ban.
And before you start the REEEE wave "OMG my connection was bad that night" stop playing, stop being selfish you shouldn't inconvenience everyone else.
Go play Skyrim, Civ 5 or watch TV for one night it won't kill you.

Oh yeah, no I'm not denying it's easy to counter. Just that borrowed time is useless against them specifically.
The only way they could change that is make it so that BT range is based off range and not terror radius like MYC.
If they made it something like a 20 meter radius from the killer instead of TR i wouldn't be against this.

Not really. Yeah you gotta wait that transition time but borrowed time is neither activated nor directly ignored so it doesn't affect Freddy at all. The survivor also doesn't get the burst of speed from getting hit. Wraith can time it pretty easily to avoid it too, so it just nullifies it completely. No timing on the survivors part can make BT work against Wraith unless the Wraith isn't considering BT at all and fully uncloaks before the save.
I did say there was no sprint in my original post.
The biggest counter to this? run gens.
Yea it sucks to get camped everyone knows this but it happens and with the state of those two killers i don't blame them.
That's also the reason i run DS, escape and back to the loops they go.
These killers camp because people hook swarm and it works.
If they got 1 kill per game and 3 survivors out the door they would soon get bored of it, but they don't because survivors play into it.
You can see a Wraith near a hook and can hear a Freddy so it's pretty obvious.

While I agree, both those killers ignore BT so that doesn't help
Yes and No.
Freddy loses his dreamstate on the survivor when they hook so technically their BT is the time it takes to re-dreamstate without the sprint.
Wraith is a bit easier, just start to unhook wait for him to uncloak don't pull them off until he swings then unhook.
Requires a little timing but they still get the borrowed time.

I never used it but how they changed decisive strike is a clear example of favoritism. The ONE thing they have to get away and it's turned into a complete useless perk to where no one uses it anymore.
The ONE thing?
You mean other than MoM, Flashlight saves, Hook blocking, Pallet drops, Infinite loops so you don't get caught in the first place.
Yes it's the killers that are whiny...
The new DS is better than the old one!
a 5 second stun for getting tunnelled that the killer can't dribble or ######### with your screen to make you miss the skill-check.

@GraviteaUK Of course, you only compensate so much that the system won't be abused. It's not okay that a survivor depips because a killer dc's. I don't see a reason why the survivor shouldn't get a safety pip in that situation.
Off-topic: Please use the @ tag if you want to let others know that you replied to them. Quotes don't give notifications anymore.
@NoShinyPony It should simply revert to as if the game was never played.
Nothing up nothing down if the killer disconnects.
If another survivor disconnects that's tough, it would be too easily abused.
On the killers end it should count as 1-2 hooks pip per survivor DC so it's a safety pip.
A killer can't exactly abuse the system since it's 4 people he doesn't know and some survivors DC just to spite killers.

What's good for one must be good for all or we can just chuck balance right out the window.

@GraviteaUK I never said that I don't want to see punishments. Those players who dc too often shouldn't be allowed to play the game anymore.
But besides that, the other players should get some sort of compensation. It shouldn't be possible that a player depips because another player is dc'ing.
SWF can abuse that.
Losing a game? have one of your team DC. 1 person takes a hit but the rest get away with it, rinse and repeat.
It's the same reason games like Overwatch don't compensate players for DC's

The current state of the game seems to echo that statement not debunk it.
DS changed finally after 2 YEARS of meta dominance. personally i love the new DS.
But here guys have another 2nd chance perk except this one doesn't require even a skill check and gives you a free hit against everyone except Billy, Huntress, Plague and Leatherface, that's if they can even hit you with their M2 of course.
