  • They should change Iron Maiden so it shows people in the lockers as well as when they leave them.

I will be running it on my huntress for the faster reload time on hatchets anyways.

  • "If they're tunneling a survivor when others are clearly running in front of them to take a hit; I start looking for totems. Noed should be a fall back, not the first defense."

You see i never got the whole tunnelling is bad thing.

If im chasing someone and someone walks in front of me and i take a swing they both run away injured whilst i give my blade a good wiping.

If i ignore the blocker they are not running Gens and i get my target down afterwards anyway. Meaning the survivor trying to run block is just wasting time and helping the killer win.

Yes it's not fun for the survivor but the killer is just that a killer, if it's not bannable i don't see a problem with it.

Same with facecamping, yes it's not fun and it's not optimal either but if the killer wants to go that he can do that it's not against any rules.

This whole "Codex" nonsense is just that nonsense.

Same with hookblocking it's lame, no skill as hell and no fun to play against but it's not breaking any rules.

Don't wanna get camped/tunnelled don't get caught, there are so many perks to prevent losing a chase and even a perk that helps you once you have.

Not to mention the devs once again buffed survivors by making graphics changes, locker changes etc.

Its the survivor buff we never asked for.

Like games playing survivor wasn't easy enough already..

    Yup

Now as you waste time looking for that p3 claudette with urban evasion the gens will be going ping ping ping behind you.

Or do you just give up looking for survivors? In which case they are free to go pop that gen they left at 90%?

Locker change, distortion, new graphics, new fog - this is a HUGE stealth buff.....but so far killers have nothing to compensate. Where's the balance?

    There never has been balance.

The only way this ever changes is when the queue times skyrocket because no one wants to play killer anymore.

  • The problem with totem hunting is they are fixed locations a decent SWF team won't take long to get rid of those especially if it's SWF map choice.

They need to work on randomising the totem spawns better or add alot more points in, then they can possibly work at nerfing NoED.

Personally i don't have a problem with NoED as a survivor or killer it's easy enough to counter beforehand especially if 1 survivor dies and the other survivors get told the killer is running it.

  • Honestly i love to play huntress but playing her is frustrating as hell.

    1. Some objects seem to have invisible barriers around and you cannot throw hatchets over them.
    2. The slow movement with a wound up hatchet is dumb, you are one of the slowest killers in the game as it is and it has a wind up time and a sound queue.
    3. Sometimes if you don't fully charge a hatchet it goes nowhere near where you aimed it to go.

My tip would be to try and run her with a Babushka so wind up times are improved and you get more shots at it.

That or have friend KYF with you and let you chase them until you get the hang of throwing them.

yes its obviously not bannable but it's not fun to go against

Neither is a 4 man SWF with that guy with hook blockers and a torch but here we are.

End of the day most killers don't find it fun to camp either but against some of these bully teams that is the only strategy to mitigate de-pips

  • You can tell a SWF when you see it 2/3 toolboxes and 1 dude with with a flashlight.

I give them the benefit of the doubt rather than instantly dodge but the second they pull out the flashlight when im picking someone up or
block hooks with 2 of them im gonna facecamp the crap out of you.

"Codex" or not im gonna sit and watch your ass die on that hook i couldn't care less about de-pipping at that point if you're gonna ruin my game im gonna ruin yours.

  • I think it's more illusion.

If any of you have ever played WoW Gnomes and Tauren move at the same speed but the Tauren feels completely different to the gnome because of the massive height difference.

  • Im all for this as long as they remove the blob from EVERYTHING not just hooked survivors.

The killer should have the best rank in the game, since it's 4 vs 1. Plus the killer should be "scarier". Too many survivors bully the killer with 360's and body blocks. The killer should be feared in the game. When's the last time you watched a horror movie where the killer was near powerless against his prey? Maybe giving the killers a sweeping attack could eliminate some of the problems. I notice this even when I play survivor, not really being intimidated by the killer. I really do love this game, but I would like to see some improvements.

I agree especially against SWF the killer should be higher to try and combat killer bully comps but there is a massive leap between a rank 2 killer and a rank 12-15 survivor

  • Holding the game hostage is locking someone into a game where the only option is for someone to quit.

Like a killer body blocking a survivor into a corner and refusing to swing.

Or a survivor glitching himself into a position the killer cannot hit and refusing to move, forcing the killer to quit.

Slugging results in a bleed out it's unpleasant sure but if you consider that holding the game hostage so is the survivors that refuse to leave the game with the gates open without first spamming crouch until the killer shows up.

  • You ever tried to juggle a survivor when his mate is trying to torch you in the face and then moves to block your hook?

Dribbling gives them free wiggle and you spend time picking them up and putting them down, it's not a counter at all.

And NoED means actually catching them again and they don't stop it activating in the first place, and don't find it while you are chasing someone else.

  • I feel the same about bumping into full SWF teams with Flashlight and DS with hook blocking at rank 15 killer.

It happens both ways, people will always de-rank or find a way of exploiting the rank system for kicks in any game.

The thing with addons and perks are it has nothing to do with ranking, you can get BP, perks and addons without ever actually ranking up.

Someones addons or perks are not really indicative of anything more than how much play time they have.

Stream sniping is and should remain bannable. However, if you're going to put your stream link in your username, you should also take precautions to avoid stream sniping. The whole point of turning yourself into a billboard is that people go watch your stream; you can't have it both ways.

The whole point of this is the survivors or killers drop in AFTER the game so you can chat, give each other a GG, possibly make an SWF group after.

Not so a killer can trivialise the whole point of the game by knowing where you're heading or where you're hiding.

Of course survivors do this too if one of them dies in a SWF they can ghost a streamer killer.

    Either way it's lame.

Like I said, you can't have it both ways. Using a URL as your display name is an implicit invitation to everyone to click on/follow the link. That's why you take precautions such as stream delays.
Personally, when I'm streaming, I post the link after the trial is over, instead of turning my name into an ad. That prevents stream sniping.

Yes it's an invitation to everyone.

But let's use common sense here it's not an invitation to trivialise the whole game and make it an easy game for one person and ruin the experience of another.

It's an invitation once the game is done to drop a "Hey good game" or "I enjoyed playing with you wanna make a group"

And if we lived in a perfect world with perfect people, that would matter.
The instant you use a stream URL as your display name, you're turning yourself into a target for stream sniping. Everyone who's done it knows it. Hell, I've never done it and even I know it. Not taking precautions at that point is just irresponsible.

To be honest im not of a rank where i actually care much about stream sniping used against me but i imagine it's a problem higher up and i may get there someday and yes although stream delays are a thing not everyone's viewers are happy with that.

Should that person lose viewers or have to live with stream snipers simply because some boosted survivor/killer can't learn to play the game properly?

You say it's bannable? but i don't think i have seen anyone banned in this game for anything outside of blatantly running hacks.

They should literally remove every report button except for "Exploits" at this point.

Stream sniping is so fun! You get to see their faces as you face camp them when you check in their stream that the rest of the survivors are not doing gens  :)

Well if you need that crutch sure.

I prefer to get my kills the good old fashioned way :pirate:

  • I had a game last night.

4 man SWF with a Twitch streamer.

They ran a full bully comp, 3 out of 4 have DS, the second i stop getting looped and go to pick a survivor up they flashlight me or hook block T-bag spam you get the picture and they did this for 3 gens.

The second i got one i decided to camp, i normally hate this practice but i was pissed, the streamer then goes for the farm and i down him too.

They both die on hooks leaving 2, i managed to get 1 with NoED and the 4th gets out via the TD.

You should have seen the abuse i got for that in chat. "I report you" yea you cannot report for that. "Watch me"

So im a noob for camping but them hook blocking spamming flashlights with 2 people while 1 runs gens with 3 count em 3 DS users is fair?

Sorry but survivors seem to hold this notion that all they do is skill and all killers that counter their SWF crap did so in a "noob" way.

  • I would take Haddonfield over The Swamp or Lerys any day of the week!

  • I played The Huntress as my main killer for quite a bit but quickly discovered how easy her weaknesses are to exploit the higher up the ranks you go.

    1. Her lullaby is directional on a game like this being able to accurately track a killer you cannot see is like Premonition on steriods.

    2. Because of not only the wind up time on her hatchets but also sound queues they are very easy to avoid and im not even a good survivor.

    3. Her movement speed is too low, yes she has a range attack but if a survivor is looping you around certain objects "Lery's" Medical beds come to mind, they are surrounded by invisible barriers stopping you throwing over what is clearly a gap. The problem here is the pallets sure you can pre-wind up a hatchet but since this also slows you down the chances are they won't have to use the pallet anyway.

Personally if i were to make a change on her it would be remove the movement penalty while moving with a wound up hatchet, most of her skill cap comes from this and it's what sets her apart from most other killers.

She still would only move 110% but looping her around objects with invisible barriers infinitely would not be so easy.
