  • With ALL action speeds slower this would include billy boxes correct? if so you won't live to see the 4th.

If you have a short timer addon you would get 2 maybe 3 if lucky the trap will go off before the 4th unless its one of the really small maps, swamp would be ez trap kills.

The Pig is already being buffed with the new crouch speeds which im happy about, buffing her actions by the player is far better than buffing the traps imo.

  • Ruin is completely balanced.

It's destroyable, the totem spawns are predictable in a rank 1-10 game you're lucky if it buys you 30 seconds and it's the only perk slower moving killers can use to stop a Gen Rush.

And with the prove thyself changes coming in it's going to be more needed than ever.

Also i think standard traps are a bit too quickly disarmed.

Thanks for acknowledging that blaming your opponents and teammates won't make you better. A few things to keep in mind:

    • Obsession. Many obsession perks mark you as a priority target; if i run Dying Light or Remember Me and you are the Obsession, you're getting tunneled, period. Dstrike is a lovely perk, but its power can come with a major downside and some Killers (Like me) make it a point to either tunnel or entirely ignore suspected DS users as the situation warrants.

This stands out to me, to run an obsession perk means giving up a perk somewhere else, so of course you are going to get tunnelled if you are the obsession despite this being obvious, survivors will still complain anyway

Technically 30%, since its one for each other survivor.
The thing is though.. only ONE Prove Thyself can be active at once in a party of four survivors working on the same generator.. which is off-set by all people having Leader.. by.. like.. a lot..

EDIT: Leader doesn't buff repair speed up to 25% btw, only everything else.

They mentioned it was a typo, and they meant only one leader at a time, so everyone can run prove thyself lol

    That's utterly disgusting though..

Just run NoED, if they run gens that fast no way they will get 5 dulls in that time.

Ahhhh but then you would be a call "Noob" despite gen rushing being nothing but holding left click and hitting a skill check.

  • That's certainly reportable, it's hostage taking and they do ban for that.

  • Facecamping is a losing strat guaranteed unless.

    1. Someone runs in for the unhook against someone with a 1 shot like Huntress, Billy or Leatherface. This is a survivor problem not a killer one.

    2. The survivor gets salty and suicides on the hook costing himself points and the remaining survivors Gen rush time. Again a survivor one, ive been facecamped and yes it sucks but once you understand how the game works you can see why you need to waste as much of the killers time as possible.

Yes camping sucks, but you know what else sucks? Fully immersed sweatbox T3 Claudettes both sides have the tools to piss the other off it's a PvP game.

But it has nothing to do with balance and doesn't require fixing. The only killer in this game that doesn't rely on the survivors being stupid or making mistakes is The Nurse once you understand this playing survivor is much easier

The other survivors should also get a quitter bonus. Paid for by the quitter.

This would be a decent impliment. Makes the person who quit give out that 650 to every person he disconnected on. And if he doesn't have enough he goes into negative bloodpoints lol.

Inbe4 "Omg i just had a bad connection that made me disconnect from every game that night, this is not fair"

  • Survivors in this game bully killers all the time it's an everyday occurrence unfortunately.

Did they unhook a person 2 seconds after you walked off and you swatted them right back down? "OMG Tunneller"

Did the survivor loop you past the person on the hook? "OMG Camper"

The survivors in this game make up these "Rules" to make their own experience better at the expense of the killer.

Keep doing you, if you got the 4k it sounds like some boosted rank 1 that got salty he got killed by a green rank.

Keep serving justice to these morons and hopefully one day they might stop, i doubt it though.

  • Can you get rank 1 by facecamping?

Depends on how stupid the survivors are, no im not joking.

If the survivors are stupid enough to try and unhook under a leatherface chainsaw they deserve to lose their ranks.

Yea 1 survivor has to lose in this scenario but the killer cannot sustain rank with 1 chase and 1 facecamped kill.

    Rush gens and GTFO.

I am down to rank 5 on Xbox again. Returned to the old get messaged after every game aura that I loved before....not. This is why I deranked and never tried getting back here until recently just going with the flow.

Some survivors are so good at running in a loop around something with a pallet. That they seem to create an interesting situation for the killer. Either break the chase, OR keep running in that circle until you DO get hit by that pallet and they run to the next one. These aren't the survivors who stop by pallets or drop them early for a little space. They know exactly when they're going to hit you or if you're going to hit them. They CAN infinitely loop me if they have available pallets....

I am wondering how in the world are you supposed to deal with them in games where they can all do this? Your gens already get ran through so insanely fast. How are you supposed to down let alone kill multiple people when this happens.

One of my favourite combos for looping is Spirit Fury with Enduring. If you're on an M1 killer.

Best of all the first time spirit fury pops off no one knows you have it so you instantly catch them and get a hit.

And the rest of the wood you eat has a lower stun time. It working on DS also is a nice side benefit.

  • You in the same Hex clan as the 3 guys that sat locker spamming on one of my killer games, then ALT F4 when i caught them?

Sorry but i stand with the killer on this, the culture of wasting killers time when you can easily leave has to stop.

If he blocked you into a corner for 10 minutes until you had to leave you would have reported him i would wager.

  • Im really dislike some hex totem placements, i have played 2 games in a row with Trapper on Yamaoka which is survivor hiding place heaven.

Both games it spawned the Hex totem next to the shack in plain view. Honestly that's just wrong.

There is one instance where it's ok for the killer/surv to DC other than internet and irl stuff. It's with this bug I've been getting on PS4 where if you try to grab someone off a gen, the game freezes and the killer and surv are stuck there until one DCs. This is an issue that needs to be fixed but without one of them DCing, the game just grinds to a halt.

Yeah this is actually kind of annoying. I honestly want to disconnect whenever I'm fighting wraith with sloppy butcher because that ######### is annoying, the blood spews drop frame rates to ridiculous lows. Not to mention the fountain of blood spewing from your neck into the sky lol.

  • I love DS i make sure if i find them they die first/green mori :chuffed:

  • Paragraphs.........

Sorry but no, camping and tunnelling is perfectly valid the same as blocking hooks and using sweatlights are.

If you don't like it you're playing the wrong game.

I play both sides of the game and see points from both, does it suck to get camped? yup.

Does it suck that it takes 2 gens to finally catch that DS, teabagging sweatbox only to have his friend flash you in the face during pickup animation so that you can't look away or when breaking a pallet? Sure freaking does.

You know which is bannable? none.

Wanna know why killers camp? is it because they're idiots or "take no skill"? no, it's because you're the idiots swarming the hook instead of doing gens.

If a killer camps me now i tell my team to just rush gens. i lose points but ultimately 3 out for 1 dead is a fair trade.

NOED tends to be relied on by bad killers to get last minute hooks. I've had games where everyone would have gotten out, but only one did cause of NOED. MYC and Haunted grounds are both temporary and there needs to be some sort of play top set it off.

I think it makes people angry cause they may not see it coming, possibly? I usually just try to get all the toems if I feel a NOED coming or I run to get the totem after it goes off if i remember seeing any or have an idea where it is. It can really turn the game around for someone who wasn't doing so great, though.

So the survivors are frustrated because they don't see it coming and it feels like a crutch perk to them.

Easy solution: make an ingame indicator for NOED like the obsession border for DS user. So the survivors know there is a NOED in the game and the killer still profits from the extra time won from survivors doing totems.

@not_Queen could you check such a solution with your devteam? We would be grateful! Thank you!

Except the part where 4 people can run DS but only the 1 person gets highlighted for it.

I think an indicator telling the team when all dull totems are destroyed is fine but definitely not telling them whether the killer or not is running it.

Well, that depends, because I had to catch myself from quitting. If they were hooked 2 times and ongoing to three, I wouldn't blame them for leaving. Why watch what you already know is gonna happen? Or what if their internet is acting dumb? Or what if they had to go? Or what if someone unplugged their ps4? There's more to it than just a "rage quitter".

You should blame them for leaving. Why, when you know whats going to happen? Not only are there hundreds of scenarios, from wiggling out, teamates body blocking, teamates with flashlights or fire crackers, to simply just wasting the killers time, actually having to pick you up off the ground, walking you to a hook and hanging you. Precious time your teamates have. Every second in this game counts. It also basically steals points from the killer, which is just rude tbh.

    They get a quitter bonus.

The quitter bonus is a joke.

You get far more points from actually killing the survivor no to mention it royally ######### over the remaining survivors.

  • Ok so i can only see 2 reasons you want this.

    1. So you can dodge a killer that's kicked your ass so you can try and artificially boost your rank.

    2. Stream Snipe

You can talk about "hackers" all you want but they are not that common as to require the ability to see the killers name so you can avoid. And as far as i can tell hacking survivors are far more common than killers.

  • I agree with this list in the most part.

But i wouldn't put the clown below huntress.

He's the huntress with extra movement speed, unlike with huntress he can area denial an entire area. None of this ring around the rosey because you can't throw the hatchet over an object covered with invisible walls.

Hatchets are nice but can easily be blocked by objects or basic movement and one shot hatchets are limited to 3 and the clown can also do instadown with an addon, Also the clown can re-stock whenever he feels like it no need to go running for lockers.

Also it's pointless to run expose perks on huntress as they don't work on hatchets, giving the clown more versatility with builds.

In your list i would switch those 2 around but other than that pretty solid :)

Add a Ranked and a casual mode to the game, in Ranked you can't use Offerings and no SWF.
In Casual your rank won't matter, you can get matched up with anybody.

You still destroy the game since you already have a casual mode called KYF, people play with their friends because they want to have fun. With a random killer you get that and it's never get bored and you actually have a reward for playing.

The casual game mode would be same as the game is now without the pip system or rank number. I think that is what they are getting at.

KYF is against people you know and has no reward at all.

  • Buff it as long as the wiggle meter remains the same.

Otherwise they will run DS with it and you will get 4 DS per game without the need to even block for the wiggle bar.

  • Anna giving some RP after the game?

    Helloooo count me in ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

In all seriousness 1 shot hatchets are not all that bad. They can carry only 3 max.

If they end up on Coldwind, Lerys, The Game there are so many issues with hitting random objects with massive invisible hitboxes it won't be an issue. Not to mention even in the open they have to hit a target trying to juke.

Also she's a huge Amazonian she's slow AF and if she's running 1 shot and infantry her wind up is also really slow.

  • @powerbats said:
One thing to add ignore the gens on the most outer corners of the map, let them have those early since that just funnels them into a more manageable area to control. On large maps this is crucial since it's less to patrol and you can focus on the middle gens that're moe open.

But you also want to threaten them on the out ones if you're a high mobility counter just to keep them honest but also give them a good scare and keep them wary.

    This works for sure.

Played a Trapper game on Yamaoaka Estate.

I let them have the gens down the bottom near the house i had like 1 hook with 2 gens left which left them with only the ones up the shack end.

I laced the area with traps and refused to chase into the area with the gens completed, slowly but surely they all got trapped and hooked, was a long game but satisfying.

  • When is it ok to camp?

Whenever the killer feels like it.

  • Why so much tunnelling? because they can.

Not against any rules and it will always happen, same with facecamping.

  • @Ermac said:
    they are easy as before

I never said they were harder.

I said the animation is not as smooth as before.

  • The game is more about just being good at 1 category.

The idea is you do a gen, save someone from a hook, give the killer a run around.

Same with killer, if kills were the only thing that mattered they would just capture 1-2 people and facecamp but chases are needed.

  • Yes some of the DLC killers have some of the most useless perks in the game but there is no killer that doesn't have 1 perk that is pretty niche or borderline useless.

Overcharge works for every killer and MYC makes The Hag a demon.

Surveillance was good on release but they ruined that one later on.

Let's also not forget Monitor And Abuse on Myers or Legion.

And every killer has at least 1-2 perks which are really good to use including the DLC ones.

And putting perks that are meta on DLC would still be P2W look at the daily arguments about DS would you really want another paid perk comparable to that one?

  • With how this game is structured, beyond facecamping it's pretty hard to be toxic as a killer all the tools for toxicity are on the survivors end.

    1. Teabag spamming.
    2. Hook blocking
    3. Flashlighting on pickup
    4. Leaving hooks at 99% sabotage until the killer goes to use it
    5. Blocking the killer until someone with non-obsession DS gets the proc.

  • @RainyAnjel said:
Ok so i started playing huntress yesterday.
I took down a SWF team of rank 4-9s, fair game and all, no camps. In end game chat, they were all salty and #########, saying I was facecamping the meg.
First of all, how did I even GET those people? im rank 17!
Also, not to be rude, but they weren't exactly good at the game. No jukes, no mindgames, stuff that i see my friends doing in survivor rank 12-16. Honestly, the rank 9 guy was better than the rank 4.
    Can someone explain?

Easy the higher ranks tend to play Trihard, they run DS they will generally only do 1 un-hook 1-2 gens per game

The rest of the time they will be the guy you see furthest away from your hook waiting for you to die for the hatch.

That or they run the killer right past the gen you're on instead of taking the chase like a man.

Also they get bonus pips for blaming team mates or flaming the killer for "Camping" after the match.

  • You're asking for more attractive perks for paid content, that's P2W

To be fair, his knife is one of the coolest looking weapons in the game.

As cool as his knife looks, It's an uninspired killer.

They basically gave a killer a hit borrowed time and the ability to vault and sprint.

  • You cannot be banned for tunnelling.
You cannot be banned for camping
There are no rules against either.
    The "Codex" is horsecrap.
When survivors stop hookblocking, flashlighting on pickup, dropping pallets on killers while carrying someone, T-bagging.

I will consider changing my stance :chuffed:

I run with whatever fits the pace of the game better that results in me getting the most points.

Swarm a hook and i will proxy that bad boy because you're free points.

  • So basically your idea is to buff solo so it matches SWF so now killers have toxic randomers and SWF to deal with?
It would be so much easier to pallet drop, flashlight etc with chase auras.

Yes yes they can make killers based on this premise but since when do killers get any consideration at all?

They nerfed Doctor by introducing mending so nurses calling does not work anymore for snapping out of it.

They nerfed BBQ again by making it not show up people in lockers just to try and make Iron Maiden a more attractive perk to anyone that isn't The Huntress or Doctor.

I wouldn't trust this dev team with yet another survivor set of buffs to not again give killers the shaft.

The game was designed around not being able to communicate giving survivors all of that, you may as well add voice comms.

I play both survivors and killers slightly more survivor at this point and i would rather them make changes such as Slower gens if you're in SWF queue to compensate or make it so the killer is aware of which people are a group so they can make provisions for this "Lightborne" etc.

SWF needs to be nerfed or compensated for but not by buffing solo.

    My two Pence :)

Problem with buffing perks is 3 per killer are available to EVERY killer and they have varying strength on each one.

So buffing a perk because it does not work well on Trapper could cause it to completely overpowered on i dunno The Nurse

Nerfing a killer is normally the safest way.

That being said there are some perks that are completely rubbish no matter who is using it so i think a case by case basis is better.

Nerfing the killer is the safest way how when why ?
The problem with that is you give too much power to survivors and with end up with case like the chinese new year or worst

It's the safest way because it only affects that one killer, unless the perk is exclusive to one killer you will be affecting EVERY killer in one change. Who the hell would take that risk?

And it does not have to be a nerf it could be a buff, im just using an example.

It's much easier to make a change if a killer is underpowered/overpowered on an individual basis than it is to blanket nerf/buff every killer that has access to a shared perk.

  • Problem with buffing perks is 3 per killer are available to EVERY killer and they have varying strength on each one.

  • I normally run whoever i run into first unless i have reason to target someone specific like running Dying Light.

I will however tunnel any hook blockers, flashlighters or teabaggers.

  • Like: Nurse, Myers, Huntress

    Hated: Noskillbilly Camperface and Freddy.

The first two because 1 shot chainsaws especially with the mobility on noskillbilly with insane hitboxes in an already laggy and buggy game just infuriates me.

And Freddy because that annoying tune is not directional all you can tell is when he's getting closer and watching grass.

  • Another survivor who thinks unhooking should be gifted to them.

Fine we can do that. Killers get blinded if they sit too close to a hook for too long.

But survivors can't be within 10 yards as the person is hooked or their aura shows up and they are exposed to the killer making them a one shot.

There we go Killers no longer camp the hooks and survivors can't vulture and farm people without possible consequences.

    Sounds fair right?

  • There are very few killers that facecamp because they enjoy it.

It's normally out of revenge for being bullied or BMED or it's because the survivors are idiots who swarm a hook or run for the unhook 2 seconds after the killer walks away causing the killer to turn around.

It's not tunnelling or camping to chase down a dude that's unhooked right under your nose and takes 5 seconds to re-hook.

The answer is either be smart with your unhooks or Gen rush/totem hunt to lure him away.

    Please tell me you are...

The truth is. I don't wanna see Rancor / Hanuted Grounds at all. It's ######### that people should die on 1 hit. Noed is enough. "FrEe MoRi"

Rancor and Haunted grounds are fine. They're not even that strong sinceu can stealth it out. Noed however, with the extra movement speed is broken. Absolutely broken. I'd get rid of the extra movement speed and make it so that you recover from missed and successful attacks 10% faster and remove that speed buff. Noed it hard to counter because u can't really stealth if they're so fast.

    Noed is "broken"?
    Again… are you serious?
    Noed is pretty much balanced.
It has a build in counter and you see the speed buff as an issue?

I am serious. A second chance for NOTHING is blatantly overpowered. At least make it so that the killer has to hook everyone once. It's equivalent to DS becuase it has very little counterplay (breaking all the totems for NOED and for DS, you have to juggle) both of them will NOT always work out in favour of the opposite side. So if you think DS needs a nerf and NOED doesn't then you're rank 20 for sure OR NOED is your life saver as killer. "Noed is pretty much balanced" What a joke.

Not even close to a fair comparison.

    DS doesn't have any counterplay.

Juggling is something experienced survivors won't fall for anyway not to mention it gives them 1/3 wigglebar each time you try it and oh look out for that flashlight everytime to try and pick them back up.

The picking up and dropping wastes more time than it would to just eat the DS half the time.

Breaking totems is a 100% failsafe and you have an entire game to do it and 0 risk involved unless you're stupid enough to do it under a killers nose.

Take away the movement speed and the slower killers are made even worse.

Huntress it doesn't work on hatchets anyway so you finally get a decent movement rate.
    Hag is the same.

  • Heres an idea, after dropping 2 pallets the survivors arms fall off.

You know to stop looping, it's lame and annoying just like camping. Seems balanced right?

  • To be honest when it comes to flashlights Lightborne is better.

And if you're looking to stop toolboxes Franklins
