"Im pretty damn good at the game" "This game favours killers"
Those two sentences cannot possibly co-exist.
The evidence is in the fact as a survivor right now the queue times are freaking insane even outside of the event.
No one wants to play killer, because it's stressful and it only takes 1 decent (not even good) SWF team to totally run toxic and make you switch back to survivor.
-
That's an intended feature and a deserved one.
Hag traps are 100% avoidable by crouching or torching them same as the trapper, except instead of a 180 you get injured or downed.
-
Legion is easy or a nightmare depending on just 1 addon.
A FMT Legion is a huge nightmare period.
Without it though, you can just let him use his ability get the free speed burst then proceed to loop until you get away or he has to hit you several times.
-
Personally i love Dying Light as it is now it's just not for Michael, but thats ok!
Yes you do have to tunnel but if you get it early like the person ducks the game or gives up it's super spicy.
There are many perks that work for other killers better than they do the person who they belong too.
Case in point M&A or Iron Maiden.
-
Personally i think they should alter it so you cannot hatch if slugged. Right now the killer loses 90% of the time unless the survivor is braindead. The survivor is 100% in control.
He can run away and do a gen and try for the door, unless he makes a mistake and gets grabbed if the killer turns up all he has to do is take a hit and run back to the hatch.
Right now the killer swings he loses even if the survivor is slugged.
And stuff hatch standoff its an absolute waste of time for both parties involved i would rather just get back into another game.
-
I honestly don't see why events like this shouldn't always favor killer.
Remember the double BP event? since killers get more blood points generally the queue times were amazing for both sides.
Now look what happens with a survivor sided points system, the queue times are horrendous and there is no incentive to play killer unless you're a killer main.
-
You have 3 options.
- Tunnel the BT person
- Chase the unhooker
- Don't be in terror radius in the first place so BT does not activate.
Personally im a fan of option 3. BT is a one trick pony once you know they have it get the person using it out of the game fast.
-
Hillbilly or Bubba for sure. both to play as and against.
- Find survivor
- Walk behind survivor
- Press RC
Fun and interactive gameplay.
Bonus points for movement speed addons on Bubba or Charge time on Billy.

I think we need to go right back to the basics and make killers actually have to work for their kills,They do, they find you spent time chasing you no doubt dodging wood constantly, then they have to catch you again when you DS, then avoid flashlights, body blocking and more pallets.
Wiggle speed no, Wiggle is there simply so the killer can't basement you every time.
I would be for the hiding hook radius to be bigger so the killer has to be more careful at where the nearest hook is.
-
Camping is simply when the killer remains on the same map after hooking someone.
Seriously though pay no attention, they have 0 right to tell you how you should play, If they set the trap off it's their fault it's seriously not hard to crouch or use a torch.
There are these "rules" which protect the survivors but none to protect a killer they can run as BM and Toxic as they want but if a killer does it ohhhhh boy.
In closing don't worry about what survivors say alot of killers have their chat turned off for this very reason.
-
Spirit,
That Roar at the end makes me smile even if it's being used on me.
-
Only issue i have with them is the fact Lightborne does not seem to work on them.
Nothing more fun with Flashlights then seeing them ######### themselves when they realise you're charging towards them and not getting blinded.
Would like the same in a chase or pickup with Firecrackers.

There are landmarks all over these maps that make areas easily identifiable.
The Shack, Houses, Boats, Library's, Coal Towers, Cowsheds, Combine harvesters. just to name a few.
Not to mention "Dude ive just gone down on the hatch/Lit totem" everyone on the team now knows where that is

Lol 6 isn't exactly a low rank it's only 2 outside of red ranks.
How many hours do you have out of curiosity? you seem full of yourself.
Like your opinion matters more than anyone else because of some arbitrary number of hours known only to you.
6 is still low and I have 2,700 hours. Hbu?
500 currently but playing 4-5 hours a night so will soon rack them up.
I will see if i can climb into red with Freddy

-
Flashlight depending on luck wahhhh?
It's the most skill orientated item.
Instapack is tapping space bar.
Toolbox is tapping spacebar.
Flashlight if the person is good is a damn nightmare for the killer.

You guys aren't seeing the big picture. Considering how huge the DC problem got, there is clearly something wrong with the game, not with the players. My money is on the ranking system. Balance wise it seems okish. I'd just nerf nurse and billy.
Very rarerly it happens that I get good teammates at rank 1 vs a good killer and it ends up in a 1-2k fun game. Usually I die or get the hatch, cause of bad teammates.
Suggesting to add harsher bans is ridiculous at this stage. They'll have to ban like half the playerbase. What they need to do is fix the ranking system (make it how you do in a chase count like 80% towards pip), rank hacking and boosting and after that see what balance issues they have.
Not really, the game itself is not the issue, people will abuse and do anything they want and do more and more of it as long as they are allowed to do just that.. As for nerfing nurse and billy....really now?
Ofc the game is the issue when almost every game someone rage quits. People rage quit when they are on a losing streak for whatever reason, and they had enough. Almost every game someone rage quits, how is that not an issue with a game? Sure this happened before, but not like now. I play for 3 years and never seen it like this. What do you think banning people will solve? They will just move to another game, simple as that. They need to look into the reason why people are dc'ing and fix that. Billy maybe not, I'll give you that, but nurse, she sure needs a nerf. They buffed her when they fixed blinking up and down too much.
Not really,
The Nurse is the only killer in the game that can give a killer control which they should have anyway it's the power role the 1 vs the 4.
EVERY other killer simply capitalises on the mistakes of survivors.
A good team will have the gens done and be out the door in 1-2 hooks, if you can even find them in the first place.
And EVERY game that has ragequitters out there has to fix it?
Fortnite has ragequitters, Overwatch, CoD, DbD, LoL you name it has ragequitters.
And it's easy to say "X is OP plz nerf" Y needs changing Z is not fun.
You won't please everyone but you can sure make it better for those of us that don't wanna be a baby quitter every game by banning these people.

Hag being A Tier?!? Good joke
She's not S.
She's nowhere near as dominant as Billy or Nurse
I’m not saying she is S tier, I personally believe the opposite, D tier, along with Wraith and Trapper. Her ability doesn’t help in the chase and she moves a 110% movement speed, at least with Huntress there is a reason why she’s that speed, because she can throw bloody hatchets, but with Hag, there is no reason for her to move that slow. Hag is in the top 3 worst killers in the game. And you pretty much need to use add-ons
TydeTime confirmed?
Lol you beat me to it. I was wondering if we found TydeTyme's DBD Forum account.
You know you can place a trap in general at a pallet/loop, right?Im my experience most survivors will Flashlight those outside of chase.
My favourites are ones in grass patches and window vaults they yield the most success for me personally.
-
Why is this required again? it's a bloodpoint increase for taking hits for people and unhooking which you do anyway it's an added bonus.
If people are using it to farm that's a "Git Gud" problem, i personally only use it during events and always with BT.
-
I play killer because it's the harder role and because it's entirely about outsmarting/outplaying 4 other people.
Not to mention every killers ability and playstyle is unique not to mention interactions with perks, some perks are godmode on one killer and trash on another so i love thoerycrafting killer builds.
I do play SWF with friends and im a higher rank survivor than i am a killer and certainly enjoy both sides but ultimately im a killer at heart.
-

Imo the worst killer is The Trapper.
I love playing him he is one of my Go2 killers and i do enjoy playing him but he's ruined by so many different things.
SWF communication: Once the team knows where he's placed a trap they will disarm it or simply avoid it in chase.
Trap spawns: the amount of times i have had to walk to a remote corner of a map just to fetch a new trap to use is unreal.
Trapper sack addons: This is pretty much a mandatory to use him or laying 1 trap at a time will find 90% of your game taken up by setting up traps. Carrying more than one should be built into his kit imo.
-
If as killer the last guy gets the hatch i consider that a win.
The hatch is crutch compensation for a team that did not fulfil the objective of finishing 5 gens and getting out the door.
If as the survivor i got the hatch im happy but i don't consider it a win i consider it i got lucky.
-
Thrill should be a perk on it's own not a Hex as Blueberry states.
And Unrelenting? no it's bad enough it exists in the first place a killer should not be rewarded/compensated for missing attacks.
And insidious in that state would be worthless, jump on survivors round corners? you realise if they are about to run around a corner and your terror radius just vanishes as it takes 2 seconds to activate they aint ever running round that corner.

And why are they successful? because survivors need to learn not to take the bait and run the gens.
I fail to see why this needs a solution that affects the killer at all.
This is a problem created by survivors and can be resolved by survivors in many different ways.
If survivors get spoon fed crutch solutions like free unhooks how will they ever learn?
It's not so much about learning, but about how fun the game is. Being camped and tunnelled is boring and frustrating. With wait times as they are, lately I've been putting down DBD and playing other games because I don't want to wait 10 minutes for a match, only to be the first survivor found, then camped and tunnelled. It's not a fun experience and I feel like I've wasted my time. I know others feel the same way. I'm sure the devs want people to have fun playing their game and for them to keep playing it and purchasing new content.
You know also what's boring and frustrating? being looped for 2 gens only to have the guy hit a skillcheck instaheal himself and start the process all over again, lets nerf everything.
Or run against a full immersive team, find maybe 1-2 people and get gen rushed to oblivion.
As i sympathise with you yes getting tunnelled and camped is not fun, however you know what prevents this? don't get caught and get better at chases.
Killers can be looped for ages if you know what you're doing it's just a case of learning.
The answer to everything is not to nerf everything this game is deceptively detailed and tactical the higher you go on the surface it looks basic but it's really not, as much as i don't like the term "Git Gud" it certainly applies here.

To be honest Doc and Huntress are the only ones that can try and get use out of it but it's garbage either way.
If expose worked on Hatchets The Huntress might get value but she's too slow for the expose to get any value so the reload speed is all she gets value from.
Unless the person exiting the locker is stupid enough to do it under your nose, no way you're getting that hit anyway.
It should show people entering the locker as well.
Either way it's not really a perk worth taking.

You were as stubborn as them and you decided to not push them out, you held the game hostage as well.
As much as i normally agree with your points not this time.
The ONLY way a killer can hostage a game is by blocking a survivor into a wall/corner and refusing to swing.
The rest of the time the game ending is entirely on the survivor.
- Hiding and refusing to do gens in hopes the killer quits, that's the survivor.
- Standing at the door and waiting to be pushed out, sorry but the idea is open the doors and leave not this lollol i did what i was supposed to do im so pro lemme just BM the killer so the next time he sees me i can come on the forums and complain after he hit me with a Mori DUUUUUUU.

Bottom line they shouldn't need to be "Pushed" out, they should just up and leave, they have already won, no need to be a dick about it.

And it's mostly lag, once dedicated servers come in there should be a real noticeable difference.

Genrush is also often used to descripe the difference in time needed to complete generators compared to getting a single sacrifice. In the time it mechanically takes to completely kill 1 survivor, up to 3 completely fresh generators can be finished.
Basically this.
A decent not even good SWF team can run gens to completion within 2-3 chases.
If the person you're chasing also has DS this can delay a hook by around 30 seconds or more if they are using instamed.
Even if you dribble you're still wasting 15 seconds to get them to the hook.
These people also complain about NoED as if they don't know why more killers are running it now.
It's not "Crutch perking" it's being smart enough to run a perk that's a gamble to whether it even gets activated and it paying off.

Current Meta?
The one where you can pound out a gens in minutes because they decided to buff a gen rush perk that one?
The one where several survivors can carry a perk that forces the killer to re-do a chase again because all the survivor had to do was hit a skillcheck? the only counter to which still wastes the killers time dribbling them.
The one where most survivors carry a perk that fully heals them once the gens are finished which as stated takes mere minutes?
Or the one where only 2 killers have the mobility required to pressure them enough to stop them doing this?
Im a higher rank survivor than i am a killer and even i can see this.
Have you seen what it was like in 2016? In my opinion it was way worse, and several things listed here are the same buffs from the people who wanted to change Legions timer from 30 seconds to mend to 20 seconds.
Yes it might have been worse in 2016 but just because "It's not that bad" now doesn't mean all the issues are gone.
All that means is the imbalance is not as bad as it used to be.
But from where im standing you're talking about NoED a perk which yes can be devastating but still completely in the survivors control if survivors all removed 1 totem each and someone else does 2 that's would take less than a minute each player.
Whilst the survivors run around with all the perks in the world at their disposal and they aint constantly "Shamed" for using them.
I honestly hate all this pressure applied to killers to try and bully and shame them into playing or perking how the survivors want it's wrong.

I have 0 issues with NoED, being used by me or against me.
Simply because the only people that complain about it are spacebar warriors who thing that survivors only objective is to pound out generators and nothing more.
It's actually a wasted perk in 2 different scenarios, if it comes down to TD the perk does not activate, if the survivors get all the totems it does not activate.
Yes you can say "What about solo" well if you get 3 totems and it activates the other 3 didn't do enough.
That's a survivor problem, why is it the killers fault the other survivors got lazy and did nothing but gens?
If im in an SWF and i get hooked NoED and the totem is not bang obvious then i tell the team to leave, in solo they should have the smarts to either know where the totem is or get out.
It's still in the survivors favor if they wanna be silly and try for an unhook vs a killer that can slug them 1 by 1 again that's a survivor issue not the perk.
This whole mentality of "i must try for a stupid unhook to avoid being flamed by the dead guy" is just stupid.

Why would they map it, open it with a key but not take it?
The key is consumed upon usage though and someone else could've had a map or just went around looking for known locations till they got the prompt. The latter would be exceedingly tedious unless you had a few spots memorized and checked different areas.

When tunnelling is acceptable = Always
When tunnelling is not acceptable = NeverThe killer can win the game however they see fit, as survivors can also do the same.
If you want to be a spacebar warrior and pound out the gens in a few minutes you can do that.
If the killer wants your ass out the game fast he can also do that.
If the devs were against it they wouldn't have invented obsession perks. Dying Light is literally made to tunnel someone to get that de-buff ASAP and slow the game down.
I don't see why these discussions take place about how the killer should or shouldn't play the game occurs, they are not breaking any "Official" rules.
Made up rules by other players won't stop me playing the game how i see fit.

They are very easy to counter as a killer, not only with perks, looking at walls etc etc but they also make survivors play really stupid and careless. They also put them in really vulnerable positions. On top of it all, while those flashlight survivors are hugging their tunneled friends, that's time spent doing absolutely nothing. They could be doing gens but instead they're just crouching in the grass waiting for you to slug them. "Very easy to counter as killer" Ok lets unpack this.
They won't use a torch unless the killer is doing something which locks them into a position in which they can't look away, like Pickup animations, breaking a pallet, window vaults etc etc
"They are vulnerable" The optimal blinding distance for the flashlight is not in a killers face it's out of even lunge range but that does not matter because see point 1.
"while those flashlight survivors are hugging their tunneled friends, that's time spent doing absolutely nothing" it only takes 2 people 1 to get downed and 1 to flash, the other 2 will sit running gens as usual.
So on the whole i can't say i agree that flashlights are the worst i actually believe toolboxes are, they only up repair speed and sabotaging hooks is not nearly as useful as it used to be.
You could run lightborn, look away, drop the person, pretty much all of these are very simple counters too a flashlight. Do your best not to pick people up out in the open, patrol the body for a second before you pick them up. So many easy and simple counters to flashlights.
Toolboxes are the best item lol. Gen rush is real. The entire objective is too finish gens. So to act like the flashlight guy isn't screwing over all the survivors playing king altruism is just silly.
Not all people have flashlights on the loading screen, and you cannot lookaway on pickup or drop them if the timing is right and try not to pick them up in the open? yes i will let them run for a bit longer to get to the killer bus stop for pickup, hopefully they won't find a pallet.
Lightborn is all well and good but a perk slot wasted because of people being able to blind a killer when he's locked into an animation and has no control over his character is pretty dumb.
You know you can drop the survivor...even when being flashligt stunned...right?
If the survivor times it right you will start to get blinded as you are picking them up and hit full flashlight stun after you have just finished picking them up and drop the survivor with no chance to move or the game acknowledging a key press
You can spend the entire time spamming R but it won't make a difference.

"Very easy to counter as killer"
Ok lets unpack this.
* They won't use a torch unless the killer is doing something which locks them into a position in which they can't look away, like Pickup animations, breaking a pallet, window vaults etc etc"They are vulnerable" The optimal blinding distance for the flashlight is not in a killers face it's out of even lunge range but that does not matter because see point 1.
