Why are you complaining about the strongest killer just for being the strongest? Its not the killers fault we disnt get new killees or olders buffed to her level.
Blight nerfs alread proved anyways that nerfing her wouldnt benenough for most of the community. My estimate is that survivors would still cry if all current A tiers got nerfed.
-
And suddenly comms are a problem when killers use them too, delicious.
-
You could advocate to rework the game mechanics to allow stuns mid-teleport or fatigue or pickups or whatever. But then you'd cry the stuns are shorter than the fatigue.
We could also fix her bugs, if were talking balance.
Isnt her map traversal still comparable to basic 115%? Maybe she needs a buff to compete with the likes of wraith or billy, lol. ( This is sarcasm )
But if you really need to "balance" her,how about making her 105%, nerfing her teleport speed/cd somewhat, but compensate by turning her fatigue into the same as everyone else's, no more staring on the floor. Just kidding, as if youd accept compensation when "balancing" her.
-
Wait your "ideal" Myers is just dbd jason with Ghostface stalking instead of the spears?
I thought people hate jasons "nobrain no skill" teleport/ghost mode.
-
As it turns out finishing off a single survivor as soon as possible is an effective method to win. Dead survivor cant repair or help other survs.
Its similiar to a survivor focusing down a single gen as fast as possible instead of swapping between 2-7 gens every 20 seconds. Finished gens cant be regressed.
Its really just the same strategy.
-
Judgement guessing?
Warning that J is starting the cast. You can see the aiming help. Irs ahuge friggin visible laser. Its aurais revealed itself to you.
Im sorry but you dont guess, you react to the laser
-
Isnt it currently the typical kneejerk reaction phase after any tweak?
Omg koller too szrong, omg perk dead.
In 1 or 2 months people will notice the perk still useable.

I just don’t enjoy 1v4 as much as I used to because I’m high mmr so I go against the same strong killers everytime I log in. I get happy when I see a Huntress or a Ghoul nowadays lol
I dont think youll get more variety up top soon.
The devs are more likely to hammer down a top tier than buff weaker killers into B+ tier (see the last groundbreaking gf or doc "buffs"

So long as there are people that only view a 4K as a killer victory, it’s awkward to state a ‘winrate’.
As for survivor, maths was never my strong suit, but shouldn’t the escape rate equal the winrate, if your individual escape is a victory?
In the early years ( i think before hag/huntrrss release) the surv community did some serious gaslighting to make the killers accept a 3k as a win.
"3k is a win" "you won already, show mercy" etc.
Personally I think its also slowly happening with "2k is a draw", instead of a loss.
As for your question about survivor, an escape is a win. The binary results for survivor, namely having escaped (gate, hatch) or being dead (sacrificed, killed), makes it easier to judge.
You dont get points for the other 3 survivors escaping when youre dead. And you dont "lose" if youre the only one escaping. There is no team being judged in dbd.
-
Look up Identity V's "Hell Ember" hunter.
Its their default killer/hunter. Their trapper so to speak.
- He can place down (or throw like clown bottles) two dolls that work as sentry wards, you see the aura of stuff in their proximity and can swap positions with them. He gains some haste speed boost after the swap. The dolls can be disabled like nemmy zombies.
- He gathers a resource bar (like myers evil or oni blood ) by hitting stuff, hooking etc that he can spend on two things.
- Turn the stationary dolls into ai-killers at like 105% speed, he stilL gets aura for stuff in their field of vision. (Basically better nemmy zombies)
- He can spawn a temporary ghost that chases survivors right at his position. Kind like 110% . Lasts like 15-30 seconds, cant remember.
Knight couldbe been like that.

Yeah, I don't mind selfish teammates as long as they're on gens or healing.
Too bad all 3 are waiting for the other 2 to die first for hatch as soon as you hit stage two on the hook.
At 5 gens, 3 at 99% but hatch is less risky than doing 2 gens with 3 people lol.
-
Good luck on your endless quest to add castlevania's best girl to dbd!
-
Its interesting how "genrushing" is only "genrushing" when you dedicate a build to it.
By that logic "real tunneling" is only possible on nurse and blight with their best addons.
I argue that genrushing is merely the act of priotising gens ( x survs on x gens, preferably finishing 1 gen 1-100% unless interrupted, going back to gens you know have progress if interrupted etc). Its exactly the same as tunneling.
Oh and if you cut the game short its the killer who gets annoyed, not the gens, just to get that one smartass argument out the way.
As for the "at 5 gens" argument. Survivors go full force from the start at 0 chase, 0 hook, 0 kills. Why should the killer arbitarily go easy on them if the killer cant know that up to 3 gens will pop in the same timeframe it takes for 1-2 hooks. "At 5 gens" can turn into "at 2" gens at any moment after 1.5 minutes into the trial. Its such a vague vatiable timeframe to restrict killer agenda with.
-
So we are weighing the killers greed for an additional kill plus the Noe bonus against two survivors greed for the ezhatch escape.
You say the killer kill is meaningless... Funny. They think the same about 4th's escape.
But lets shame the killer for it, right? Theres multiple things to do to get a trial over with. But the survs stay.
The complains about 4k slugging just boils down to two things: 4th survivor wanting the hatch and 3rd survivor wanting to be 4th.
Survs want to escape by any means and killers want to kill by any means.
-
Ultimately it should be all of them?
As for the debuff/ support killers like Plague and Doc. wow the debuff killer debuffs the survivors, how evil. Thats what they do, if it helps another killer thats called synergy. Isnt that what this mode is about?
Its not like they doubled the amount of survivors for only 8 gens at 70 charges.
-
So survivors can now even more than now ignore the hook and tunnel gens? ( I say tunnel instead of genrush because the forum community throws a fit if you call it genrush if they dont dedicate a build to it. )
I dont think that this whole "3 people are weaker than 4" problem actually needs to be solved. Survivors start the strongest and have dwindling resources.
Its like wanting to add respawning to non-deathmatch battles in counter strike.
-
He ability loosely reminds me of the soul weaver in Identity V and dota's broodmother. The design is similiar to the countess of darkest dungeon.
With the judgement coming up the devs totally could rig up a arachne/drider/spidertaur body in a nice dress.
-
He's a good B-tier in a game where theres only a single opponent who sits in A-tier lol.
-
Only for bloodpoints? ;-)
Anyways yes, up the ante for the less fortunate killers.
-
Do you go for the logical target or look for the needle in the haystack?
The only cringe is survivors insulting you for going for the logical target.

They just gave him afew significant nerfs. Going full "skullmerchant treatment" so ppl dont pick a killer isn't a good way to approach balancing.
but they dont want balance, they want to not face good killers.
-
I dont see this working in this community.
especially for killers not playing to serve survivors.

A killer that gets punished for messing up and has weaknesses that necessitates getting good at the game.
Aka something killer mains would immediately call d tier even if theyre good.
I think Henry is the closest new release to this after his nerfs.
If that was a strong killer, they wouldnt be called d tier and survivors would call for nerfs.
Btw you sescribed nurse.

I've asked this question before and got a few answers but the thread didn't last all that long.
What kind of killer should be added that wouldn't be an xslop killer?
Like we don't want projectileslop, we don't want dashslop, we don't want mobilityslop? What would be goodslop?
Hag without teleport/scarejump but a minor hinder on the traps.
Fair and balanced killer with a personality.
-
While i liked that the guntaku was based on the hellsing author, didnt the hotd author die like 9 years ago?
I dont think someone else took the rights to the IP.
-
Maybe its just time to remove like 50% of the perks?
-
Havent her fatigue and animations been bugged for years now?
-
Theres Nurse.
Unlike other killers she's 100% reliant on hitting her ability. She also needs to adjust her skillshotk at every usage.
I think you dont even need pallets to mindgame her.
-
@Wyndsor said:
As always, it depends on what you mean by 'buff.'
Michael was a 'low-tier' that got 'buffed' and is now a disaster gameplay-wise.I personally think Vecna2 is a pretty good standard for killer design, strong anti-camp, requires two hits before lethality, high skill-floor but decent skill ceiling, map travel is fair, etc etc.
Bringing every killer to A-S tier would require substantial survivor buffs to compensate, which I doubt would be received well.If no buffed killer surpases for example the ghoul then nothing changes for the survivor.
This happens due to killers normally being mutually exclusive characters. Buffing trapper meaningfully will not affect any other killer the survivors might face.
Ugh the next example will give me some flak but whatever. Survivors are likemiddle A tier on a killer list, what do they care if B- to F tiers get buffed to B+?
Youve seen those groundbreaking GF and Doc buffs, B+ is me being generous.
Edit: Yes Survivor is at least A tier when judged with good players in mind, else Nurse on S wouldnt make sense either, cant have it both ways.
-
Outlasting each other for hatch while telling the killer to just let them escape via hatch is the peak of entitlement AND hypocrisy tho.
The whole waiting for hatch spawn/deny hatchppawn situation is not solely the killers fault.
Id rather say the survivors are stalling the game moreso than the killer.

Ah yes, insults that's sure to make for a compelling argument.
Where, scrub? Thats not an insult unless you think it is. Dont.
Please dont answer if you dont wanna engage with my actual arguments.
-
Thanks for pointing out my mistakes. (Honestly, Im hardcore killer biased and dont wanna end up as much a hypocrite i accuse others to be)
But I think the surv examples of flashlights or bodyblocking are interesting.
Item dodging is an acceptable comparison to killer dodging.
Do you think bodyblocking gets comparably as much hate and demands to be changed by devs as tunneling/slugging?
I feel like blocking has been accepted and peopls play around it ntead of being added to the scrub rules.

Nah, sorry but this is why your argument is bad. Something being a 'normal strategy' does not make something good for the game. Being able to kill someone because you can easily tunnel someone out is bad for the game.
Sigh good lird you make me remember the nurse crusades.
You didnt even aknowledge my arguments.
"Tunneling is bad"
Its only bad because your scrub brain imagines an rule that doesnt exists and expect zhe game and opponent to contort to it. You label this act which breaks your imaginary rule with a certain word and start using it in deterogatory ways in hope to shame your opponent to contort to it.
Survivors are not owed any amount of time in a trial just as you will say killers dont deserve any amount of kills theyve chosen themselves.
TLDR your argument is even worse.

Here is one of the best SF2 players in the world daigo playing Ryu notice what he does? Gets his opponent in the corner and then "spams" fireballs. (i say spam in quotes because he is using them in a very specific way that not anyone can just pick up the controller and immediately do)
Should he instead let his opponent out of the corner to "be nice"? because it "isn't fair"? Should he let his opponent get a hit or 2 in because that would be nice? Or should he do whatever he can to completely dominate his opponent and win the match?
I don't understand this notion of "we have to be nice" in DBD. WHY? WHY? Why do i have to change how i play just because it would be "nice"? Why is no other game of ANY kind ever expect that? Why doesn't football? Why not let the other team score a goal to be nice? Why take your opponents queen in chess when they leave it open to be taken? Why aim for the head in counterstrike when your opponent rounds the corner why not aim for the chest and give them a chance?
The scrub mentality is going soo strong in dbd.
- Dont use that character
- Donut use that item/addon
- Dont do that strategy.
Its funny that survivors only sometimes get subjected to on of those and killer to all 3.

Question, would you be alright with the devs bringing back old brand new parts? It'd then become a normal strategy to use them and thus in your eyes be totally fine right?
Ugghhhhhh.
Wow you got me.
Deliberately choosing to target the same person to chase, down and hook twice in a row is exactly the same as an item that can skip 1/7th of survivor objectives per instance brought in an instant.
Surely you'd be better off comparing ye olde BNP to ye olde mori which doesnt exist anymore. Huh i guess killer OP stuff does get nerfed.
Please dont talk about discussing in good faith if youre really thinking that "choosing a target twice" is the same as an ye olde BNP or mori.
While on topic, can we talk about survs not swapping gens every 30s to spread the pressure on all 7 gens. The killer doesnt get to play/kill enough when survs exit too quickly.
I mean if we can demand killers to go easy on survs because they decided they werent in the trial long enough, we surely can also demand survivors to slow down so the killer can get the amount of kill they want, else we'd be hypocrites, right?
-
Stop vilyfing a normal strategy.
tunneling solved.
-
Wow the last page sure shows engaging with szrv mains is a test of patience.
Its funny to see them be offended being called a tunneler cuz its their word to demean killers.
They also cant connect the dots that its a killer whi gets annoyed at quick repaired gens
-
If they arent A tier according to your fav tier list, theyre in need of buffs.
We be talking about mostly mutually exclusive characters, theres always only one of them in a trial.
Survivors should have to face a constant killer power level.
Yes there'd still be a gap between good and bad players (like on survivor side), but the difference in the characters themselves should not be that obvious like it curtently is.
-
Maybe her blinding herself is outdated by then and gets replaced by new tracking stuff, I heard jason got some nice tools he could share witht he rest of the roster.
or we give her visual sound effects like survivors get the hearbeat.
but its more likely the devs will screw up the killer side of hearing sounds yet again.
-
If the skins/characters have authentic dbd style textures instead of looking like cheap ebay cosplays, you'd even take a detective conan skin for dwight, shorts and bowtie included.
I think its just harder to translate human designs, especially faces from animes into dbd's style. I think for example A Denji-skin for hillbilly would be harder to make it look like "yup thats denji" (remember quentin?) than creating a chainsawman model from scratch to make it look like "dbd chainsawman".
As for what IP to actually crossover with? Well if the character fits it doesnt have to be a strictly horror IP.

typically in pvp games and competitions in general you dont go easy on your opponents because they are playing poorly.
Its also a curtesy only one side of this game's community is expected to give.
Theres a reason its called the survivor rulebook for killers instead of a "general community guideline"
-
Your survivor idea is permanent sprinting. They get permanent speed for "getting unhooked" that will stay even after doing gens, unhooking others or whatever.
Do you really think thats not broken?
-
Where example?

"This is a casual game for crying out loud, not Counterstrike, not Valorant, not Rainbow Six"
Says who? You can apply this to literally any game.
"I want to troll in rainbow six siege, this isn't league of legends! Lol! Stop Sweating"
"I want to troll in valorant! Why are people mad, this isnt rainbow six siege?"
"I want to troll in counterstrike, why are people mad at me? This isn't league/rainbow six, stop sweating!"
If you argument is "Game is not X it's Y!" You can apply that to literally anything. at Its core DBD is a pvp game which means people will take it seriously, if you disagree that's more than fine but to act like "ITS CASUAL LOL ANYTHING GOES" I mean at that point why even balance the game at all? Bring back old CoH, bring back old gen kick meta, bring back old ruin, bring back old brand new part and ebony mori? Who cares, it's casual right?Bring back old nurse!
And suddenly most "casual enjoyers" will demand harsh regulations and strict balancing.

I hope the people complaints about jasons haste to be heard and fixed... By making him 4.6 and zhus removing the need for haste.
Get monkeypaw'd.
-
The duality of survivor
"Dont slug us, use the hooks"
"Make hooking even harder"
-
its funny how we're splitting hairs in the survivor character potential by obfuscating the single character into 3 groups but summarize all 40+ killers as nurse played by supaalf.
If one had to rnter the survivor character into ones favorite killer tierlist, they be somewhere in the upper A tier lol.
-
Oh we went from broken to "boring" already.
Anyways, which killer isnt? That stupid "boring" argument gets brought up for every killer.

@Blueberry said:
It's not Jason being tuned too high, it's the other ranged killers being tuned too low. They could all use improvements to varying degrees, Springtrap included.
Cant say much to the jason-Springtrap situation but The forum is funny in this regard.
Its okay to demand buffs to survivor to make survivor+badplayer equal to survivor+goodplayer+comms.
But buffing weaker killers to be on par with the strong who barely equal to survivor... The community rather gut the few killers who can compete.
Maybe make cameras track and reveal survs automaticallyover time kinda like singuslarity. survs turn them off and bunnyboy turns them back on. Wouldnt that be annoying enough to force usage?
-
