buff Autodidacts numbers a little bit or make it more likely to trigger skill checks because i love the idea of this perk but it seems everytime i run it i don't receive skill checks except for maybe one or two and don't get any use out of the perk. I know it's kind of up to luck on skill checks but it doesn't feel that strong or worth taking for me at least idk if there are people who make good use out of the perk.

Oof, that is a tough one. It's gonna be Pig-related, obviously. I would LIKE to see the RBTs kill on the Hatch, but I think that would also require adjustments that would fall outside of the "Buff exactly one thing" parameter. Same goes for "make Rules Set No. 2 base kit for Pig" because that would require changing the add-on itself.
So with that in mind, I'm gonna go with the following:
Buff the Jigsaw Boxes so that a Survivor can never find the key in the first box they search As long as there are 4+ boxes in the trial (Ideally, I'd want Amanda's Letter to be buffed to remove the trap/box penalty and prevent this interaction, but since I can only choose one, I'm adding the min. box # provision as a work-around. ;) ).
no thank you on this change that's not balanced. What are you supposed to do when your the only person left and you have a bear trap on while the pig is searching all the boxes for you. Odds are you aren't going to get it off because of the time it takes to search them. That's basically a free kill for the pig.

Buff Kates wiggle perk numbers up so it feels worth it to take. Or keep the wiggle swaying where it is and get an increased like 4-10% wiggle speed depending on testing/balance don't want it to be too strong. I think it would be fair because killers have three perks i believe to help them get a survivor to the hook and we only have kates perk and D-strike to get off not counting items but most people can't use them right anyways in my experience.

That would be pretty neat. It reminds me about what happened with the spirit: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/14150/new-killer-teaser
(It totally wasn't a teaser, for the record, but it got people looking at tiny details to figure out what's coming up.)
But I'm a big fan of ARGs that lead to reveals, or just clues for what's to come.
yeah that got me hyped lol giving the spirit a ripped mouth skin would be cool since thats what everyone thought she would be and also kind of fits with her lore almost. I also think in game teasing for future chapters would be dope like imagine before the hag came out and you see her triangles she draws around the map all of the sudden or clown bottles before he came out. Huntress hatchets in lockers etc.

The swf patch arrived about a month later and to all the conspiracy theorists they couldn't have made it in less than a months time, got it tested and working.Quoted for truth.
For the derps that know nothing about game development, a massive feature like SWF does not come about in a month. It takes significant development time to implement such a feature. Therefore it stands to reason that SWF was planned LONG before the game came out.
The devs should not add voice comms to the game I agree. What they need to do is bite the bullet and nerf SWF in some fashion. You can team up with your friends, but you are limited in some capacity when you do. If you have a problem with this, play solo. As a survivor main that plays SWF and solo I have absolutely no problem limiting SWF. It's literally a cake walk compared to playing solo.
they talked about putting kindred on every survivor in the game by default and not counting as a perk slot. Because all SWF has that gives you an advantage is information on where the killer is and where you are mainly. Also perks but mostly everyone can figure them out on their own if they're experienced.

If survivors are good and want to just do gens and get out there is literally no possible way for any killer besides nurse to stop that.
Is it survivors fault? No, its devs fault that they make maps as big as red forest and so on.
but if maps were smaller it'd be so easy for killers to 3 gen and patrol them constantly and hold the game hostage. Also killers like the doctor would be busted or anyone that runs distressing with other terror radius perks. It'd be too strong. BBQ and Chili helps you save time and tells you where to go as long as survivors aren't hiding so it can help you keep up the pressure and keep them busy and off of gens saving people.
This advice is lovely. It's almost like everyone thinks they're a better Killer than ScottJund despite the fact he barely pipped against a genrush squad that wasnt even using Perks.
If they had DS, he wouldn't even have gotten a single kill. Even still, under current Emblem rules, he would have only saftey pipped.
never said i was a good killer i usually stay between rank 5-10. Yes i understand these things happen from time to time but majority of the time i don't face this issue. Also the purpose of this thread is for your personal take on it not a content creators.

I think a power like that has been highly requested. People like gap closers but as long as it's difficult enough to land it can be balanced

So let's say a new player joins, completely new player, and after 5 games they got the chance to get noed from the bloodweb and they use it, are they garbage? And tell me, what's the point of making this if you said that, yeah its in the game, but still, if someone one uses it, they suck??? So your saying that, you know its in the game, and you understand that anyone can use it, but if someone does, they are garbage? This just sounds like a hate thread to killers who uses noed and just sounds like you get salty when you get hit by one.it's literally just a crutch to help killers. If you can't manage to secure at least 2 kills by the end of the match then you either had an off match or don't belong in your rank. Rank 20-15 i guess are the exception because they typically don't know what they're doing and are all ready garbage but i just expect everyone runs it and cleanse all totems myself.

Love the idea and my friends and I have been thinking about something along these lines like slight buffs in certain areas for survivors depending on what they're good at.

Why is "camping" a thing?Or "tunneling"?
Why not call those "defending the hook" or "lowest denominator" ?
well camping is kind of toxic and shows a lack of skill generally a method used by leather face and wraith but not always. It's okay if all gens are done because that's a little different. Tunneling is justified if a survivor is toxic. But it's a game and everyone has their own play styles so to each his own i guess.

To me it's just a description of how fast some games go with the current time it takes to complete generators. Games are incredibly short. Survivors only have one objective and some teams do it VERY well. It makes things extremely stressful on the killer. It's not something the survivors are doing wrong though, to me it's a problem with the game. There needs to be another objective or gens need to take longer, or skill checks need to be replaced with something else or made harder or something.I agree on the addition of another objective as of right now it's just cleansing totems and saving people from hooks but that's not that time consuming. With the recent changes to healing that's a step in the right direction in terms of making the matches take a little longer but it's not a whole lot

Actually, the correct term for gen rush lately is when people set up 4 or 5 generators on 99% then do them all at once.I've only had that happen when I play the pig but even then her traps aren't much of a threat

I mean survivors complain a lot when killers camp to secure a kill at the end of the game, both sides complain equally as much as the other. Survivors have objectives correct but killers have them too, which is to kill people but when they do it in an effective way we get hate thrown right at us.I don't tunnel unless it's coming towards end game and I don't camp unless all gens are done, but there are perks to somewhat counter camping such as Borrowed time. Tunneling can't be countered and it's pretty crap when it happens to you.
i agree on the camping when all gens are done because there's no point in leaving. Tunneling does suck lol. Only killer that can face camp and borrowed time can't save you with is leather face since he'll just down the borrowed time user which kinda sucks but he's a bad killer in general so once i rank back up i typically don't see him.

Gen rushing was originally a term used to describe the broken Brand New Part, playstyle.
After that was fixed, it became the general term to describe the unbalanced speed at which a coordinated team of survivors can complete generators. There are a lot of bad players that quickly throw around the term, so you can be sure that you're more often called a gen-rusher than you are actually rushing gens. Neither is rushing gens anything inherently bad; it's what you should be doing.
They indirectly ask you to play as if a certain balance patch was in place. Just don't give in to that.that's pretty much how i see it i was just curious on other peoples points of views because i've faced plenty of killers that can pressure the map well enough that the game takes a little bit longer. Btw nice name lol.
-
my friends and I all say the exact same thing. Like older survivors get completely new outfits but the new ones just get one of the cheap uncommon shard recolor cosmetics
-
I really like the idea tho it sounds really cool but don't see it making it's way into the game
-
how would this work on maps with with 2nd floors? would he just not be able to use his power unless he's on the ground floor?
-
Killers have 3 perks to help keep a survivor on their shoulder and get them to a hook so i think it's completely fair and balanced to give boil over a buff. Since there is already counter play to it in the game.
-
insta down hatchet huntress is annoying since she doesn't have to be next to you but hatchets can be somewhat easy to dodge as long as you're not in the open. But i think tombstone myers is far more annoying. The only good thing about it is the fact that you can make them rage just by going into a locker so they can't mori you. Just don't be the first to get killed lol.
-
yes it would be nice to have and i think that it would be fair since there's counter play (don't get stunned and or the perks you just listed)
-
I like the pallet perk
-
I thought they said they were supposed to be exclusive. Either i heard it wrong or we're being cheated lol. Though the cosmetic isn't really worth fighting over.
-
same it's mainly when i face the spirit tho
-
85% sure it's the slit mouth woman
-
omg on what planet would this be balanced lol

Killers don't seem to be so strong still. I've noticed that most of the time I kill someone due to their mistakes not because killers are stronger. If they don't make stupid mistakes, it is hard to kill a team that gen rushes and pallet loop correctly. With the 5th perk slot there are so many good builds you can make to be stronger and fun to play.idk what game you're playing but i've had numerous killers have zero problems getting at least two kills per match even when looped you're probably just not playing with people at your skill level. Also "gen rushing" isn't a thing. The survivors have one main objective throughout the game and it's to complete generators idk what you're expecting them too do. Just stand around waiting to die? You're not supposed to get four kills every match the devs even said two kills a match is considered balanced.
-
I would hardly call this massive. All the good and okay killers should have no problem dealing with this because it's not a big change. The kindred thing may not happen and even if it does they're just trying to make SWF and playing solo more closely related so they can balance the game easier so im here for it.

I was exhausted usually when running out but i wasn't always hit out when i lost my stuff i left peacefully a few times as well

i don't use dead hard
