    I can understand their frustration.

By your horrible logic this means that I have your approval to DC from a match as soon as I get stunned by Decisive Strike.

If you think that you will not enjoy the rest of the round because of the DS, yes. If you like. I couldnt care less about a Killer dcing.
But then you might want to quit DBD completely, because in almost every game at least one person has DS.

Do you have a source for this?
All 3 Legion games I had yesterday this happened, so it was quite annoying.

  • Not a good idea. Would only result in more lobby dodging.
Med Kit-->That person either uses Adrenaline or it is an Insta Heal-->Dodge
    New Item-->This person has DS-->Dodge

There do not need more reasons for Killers to dodge lobbies.

I don't mind Legion when he's sharing out the pain between survivors.

Just had one now though who only chased one at a time and used Noed on top. Lets just say it was a harsh reminder that this is the design team that thought Decisive Strike was a good idea.

Not a fan of tunneling legion either, my playstyle is the former tho, i spread the pain and switch target often when i get the occasion to, i played the same way as freddy hence why i like playing them both even tho they are bad.

You can’t de-rank below rank 15 anyhow so rank 20-16 should be a safe zone for new players?

You can also get below Rank 15 by DCing.

You can't. I tried that back in 2.1.0 when the rank reset changes were introduced and I did not go past rank 15, 0 pips. My rank just stayed there when I disconnected.

I was under Rank 15 already when I had some DCs because my Internet Connection kept crashing.

But I am not sure when exactly this happened. So it might be possible that Rank 15 was not the lowest possible Rank for me and I am messing things up.

  • Had the same right now.
    Killer: Rank 9
    Myself: Rank 3
    Other Survivors: 16/17/19

The other 3 might be SWF, but not sure about that. Maybe they are testing something? Because usually I do not have any problems to find a Lobby, usually this is pretty fast. The Rank 16 might be a Deranker, because he had pretty good Perks.

  • I like her. Though I wish for more decent Head-cosmetics, most of them are awful.

Even if slugging is an issue to any survivor there are multiple anti slugging perks available, they just simply refuse to use them.

    What are those Perks?
Unbreakable for sure, but please dont tell me you mean No Mither with this "Please pick me up, I will recover from dying state"-Sign.

  • It is mostly because of the Healing. And I really hate it when I am on the hook and I see two people healing on different sites of the Map with Self Care. Or I can really see how confused they are when I dont want to get healed.

At one point I am thinking if it would make sense to heal others. I usually do it when I have We Will Make it and it is done fast. But even without and if I know that they healed before via Self Care, I am really thinking if I should simply heal them so that they dont do it with Self Care and waste even more time.

It's not sweat, it's his objective.

It depends. Sometimes it is simply sweaty. Few days ago had a game where a 2 Man SWF decides to DC, one of them caught, the other not even on the Hook once with 2 Gens to go. Killer still needs to slug me to get the other person. Pretty sweaty, I would say.
Another time the Killer really refused to hit me on a hook where I may be able to reach the hatch, I needed to run all the way to another hook to show him that I am not doing a Hatch Stand-Off. Also sweeaty.

In general in my opintion slugging is a little bit sweaty. Not like the two situations I mentioned, but still. A Killer also wins (=pips) with 3 Kills.
But well, it is his Objective. And still the Term "Gen Rush" exists, when it is the Survivors Objective... Double Standards, wohoo.

You are mentioning extremely anecdotal circumstances. Those games are not the norm. I'm not saying all of them are non sweaty, but in general.

Yeah, like I said, for me it is a little bit sweaty. But mostly it is boring, when I lay on the ground for too long, haha. And yes, I know that slugging is the only way to guarantee a 4K. But like I said, 3K is also a Win for the Killer.

Watching the last survivor get to escape with his participation trophy for free is also boring to me. Hopefully they fix the hatch and then neither of us will have to be bored.

As Killer I dont mind if the last survivor gets the Hatch. The only thing that I really dislike is Survivors waiting at the Hatch so that the Killer sees that they escape through it.
But, like I said, I dont do Stand-Offs. Had one as Survivor which lasted 45 minutes and I will never do this again. I am not that stubborn.

  • Spirit is either third or second best, depending how good the Player can play with her. Billy is easier to use, but a good Spirit player is better than a good Billy-Player.

I dont think that Nurse can be second best without some bigger Nerfs. She completely counters Game Mechanics like Pallets. And a Killer doing this can only be the best.

    @Topic:
Just a name I created for myself around 15 years ago. Using it since then, I wanted some name for a Browsergame and it should be a name that is easily spoken (not like my first name there) and can sound like a "real" name. So yeah.

  • IF I would need to think of a certain Killer to be toxic (it is the player, not the Killer), it would be either Wraith or Spirit.
Wraith: Because of recent experience, even with 4 Totems cleansed NOED pops and he was like "EZ game :)"...
Spirit: They seem the most tryhard for me. Instead of doing a Hatch Standoff, I "asked" her to hit me, she did not do so, so I went to a hook to let her hook me. She refused until I ran to the other side of the Map...
And also vs Spirit with Prayer Beads... 2 People DCed when one was caught (probably SWF who do not want to play vs Spirit with Prayer Beads), 2 Gens need to be done. And she slugged for the 4K... Like, 2 DCs happening, just dont let me lay on the ground for a few minutes, because you really want to have the 4K...

In regards to nice players, I feel that Pigs are quite nice. They simply crouch around when they want to farm and some of them dont even attack when a Survivor is in a Jigsaw Box.

  • Surviving is not relevant for me. I want to pip, have some good chases (aka: Not go down instantly), and hope to be as helpful as possible to bring as many people out as possible.

Of course only where possible. I will not rush for an Unhook when the Exit Gates are open and the Killer is camping near the Hook with NOED active.

Like i said earlier, i'm against DC like this on both sides, it's stupid. Dodging is less harmful because you aren't ruining games for others. And just because killers DC doesn't mean survivors should, it goes both way.

I agree to you, no worries. But I can understand people who are frustrated to play against Legion, it is the same for me. And dont worry, I hate DCs as a Survivor and Killer, as Killer I feel so bad and let the others farm, as Survivor I am the one who has now a way harder game.

    Nothing more.

So you only want to play against very specific killers? Ok then I guess we need to show survivor perks too since some killers would rather leave if a survivor is running DS.

Again its a survival game and rather than ruining that game with disconnecting from a match try having a civilized conversation with the dev team via their social media/forums. Problems are not fixed by lashing out but by starting a conversation and showing where the problem arises.

As written before, I usually do not DC. I did it one time, but this might have protected someone from my bad words and me from getting banned, haha.

And yes, if there would be an option to exclude a certain Killer, I would exclude Legion ASAP. I do not care about Nurse, Billy or any other strong Killer, I have no problem to lose vs any Killer, but I cannot find any joy in playing vs Legion, even winning does not feel good at all.

  • Had a Legacy Nurse in my game two days ago. This was quite scary.

And during one Game, one Survivor was going down instantly. I thought that the Killer is a Huntress with Iridecent Heads. While running to the Unhook, Spirit jumped right into my face, I almost had a heart attack and it really took me a few minutes to calm down from it.

2 X DS is very unfun to play against. Should killers DC too to get attention?

In fact a few have said they D/C if they take a non-obsession DS.

Honestly, one thing being unfun should not justify another thing being unfun. Of course 2 DS is not fun at all and it should not be possible in my opinion.

  • It is a good Perk. I prefer We Will Make it, it is more effective, but also more situational. Botany also helps with Self Care.

I would not considre it a bad Perk.

That's a terrible mentality, just because something is unfun doesn't mean it's right for people to do this.

I also DCed vs Legion players once. When I had quite a bad day (either because it was stressful in RL, or I had some ######### games in DBD) and the next game is a Legion with Franks Mixtape, I did not bother playing this game. Because I do not want to get a really bad mood because of a game.

And if I see a Legion following me while looking on the ground, I also have no fun at all, because I cannot do anything. At one point I need to mend and thats it.

Of course it is not right to DC. But like I said, I can understand the frustration. And I myself am always close do DCing when I play vs Legion, I only refuse to do it, because there are 3 other Survivors in my game.

  • From all of the Meta Perks I feel that BBQ is the one which has the least impact on the actual gameplay. I can be countered, and even if not, there is no guarantee that the Killer will come in your direction. He might go into another direction, stay near the hook because he had not every other Survivor on BBQ, or he might go to you, but you should be alert about it, because he just hooked someone.

    To your points:

    1. Still has to do it. 1st Survivor found was not found via BBQ, if then after the first hook the Survivor he found because of BBQ jukes the Killer, Killer has to search on his own.

    2. It is a good Perk. And give extra BP, which is the Main reason for BBQ.

    3. You can simply stay on your Gen and be alert. Furthermore, going into a Locker, waiting for BBQ and then going out of the locker takes 20 seconds, at max.

    4. Bad luck, if you cannot get close enough. You need to learn the distances. Also you can trick the Killer into one direction and walk into the other direction.

    5. You can buy Jeff via Shards for free. You do not have to spend any RL money on him.

    6. For me it works fine. Maybe you are not hiding in the correct angle?

    7. I think when you have Teammates who die in 30 seconds, you have far worse problems than BBQ.

    8. Same as point 1.

    9. If you think you are better than Rank 10 to 20, why are you at those Ranks?

BBQ is really not a big problem. There are Killer Perks which have a bigger impact on the Game (Nurse Calling/Sloppy Butcher, Enduring/Spirit Fury, Ruin, NOED...)

  • Legion is simply the most unfun Killer to play against. And to be honest, the more people DC, the better, because this will maybe raise attention so that Legion will get his rework.

This was no Nerf to Self Care, it was a general Nerf to Healing Speed. That is what he meant. (Of course we all know what you mean, some people are just picky)

I agree to you, even though I rarely see that people do not heal anymore. Running Self Care is still not bad at all. I think it is fine as it is.

But like said before, some people really want to nerf Self Care. I have read one "idea" where the time should be doubled or trippled. I simply cannot understand why people really think that this would be good, nobody would heal for 60 or even 90 seconds, everyone would just run Resilience and rush the Gens. Really hard to think a little bit further I guess...

If you buy the game you can do whatever you want with it as long as it doesn't break the developer's rules.

While it is in theory correct that you can do what you want, as a Survivor, you are playing a Multiplayer Game with a Team of 4 people. This means that you should actually contribute to the team.

Of course this sometimes is not possible, maybe you are simply not good at the game or have a bad day/bad match. But, when you decide to be not helpful and not support your Team Members, you should play Singleplayer Games instead.

  • Not directed to me, but had a good laugh when reading it:
"Your mom is a noob in life for giving birth to you"

  • Balanced Landing
    We Will Make It
    Self Care
    Adrenaline

Last Perk changes from time to time, other possible options for me:
Botany Knowledge, Iron Will, Urban Evasion, Bond...

  • God, you are such an sweaty idiot.

You know, normally I really do not care about escaping, I want to pip. But there are games where I think I deserve the Hatch. If I did 4 Unhooks, 3 long chases, got hooked only once during them, did 3 Gens on my own and still not all Gens were done - then I think I deserve the Hatch.
But other than that, I do not care.

Yesterday I had a game where the Killer and myself were on the Hatch (Spirit, she did not want to hit me on the way to hit). I waved at her, teabagged, she did not want to hit me. Fine, I went to a hook and pointed on it. Nope, no hit. So I really needed to go to another hook on the other side of the map to show her that she should simply hook me. Idiotic.

BUT, I make you an offer. If I am in your game, simply nod at me 5 times when you hook me. If I am the last person alive and the Hatch is the only option, I will simply ignore it. I will hover around the map, maybe touch a Gen now and then, but I will not go for the Hatch. Lets see how much fun you will have, when you think you are entitled to get a 4K.

  • It is Rank Reset.

I am playing Killer on a low rank (because I do not play it much) and had tons of DCs right after Rank Reset, probably De-Rankers.
    Loaded into a match--->Instantly 2 People DC.
Next match-->3v1 started, all 3 DCed.
    Next match-->1 person instant DC.

And that was it for Killer for me.

  • Usually I am not a fan of exposing someones Location, but I have witnessed a perfect example where it was 100% justified.

Spectated one game, 2 Survivors left vs Nurse. 2 Gens to go. Kate is being chased by the Nurse, Meg is stealthing around one area of the Map. BUT did not do a Gen or anything, even though it was clearly visible that Kate was being chased (got injured, this is usually a good sign that the Killer is also nearby that person). Kate downed, Nurse wanted the 4Ks so slugs. And searches for Meg.

Meg was pretty far away, in a locker. Sometimes she came out of the locker, moved a circle around that tile of wall where the locker was located and went back into the locker. Kate almoost bleeds out, Nurse got her and let her wiggle free. Kate then goes to the Locker where Meg is hiding and points on it, Meg gets hooked and killed herself on the Hook, because the Nurse was facecamping. Kate got the Hatch, because the Nurse gave it to her.

For me quite a good example where it is justified to do something like this. Of course it is not nice, but someone being completely useless the whole time should not get the Hatch.
Also very cool from the Killer to actually react to this kind of behavior.

  • Depends on your Rank. If you rank up too fast, it might be possible that it is hard for you to find games.

Rank 7 PC works fine (Survivor).

  • Shelter Woods and Rotten Fields are Maps where you clearly see how long they are already in the game.

For me Rotten Fields is more annoying (even as a Survivor).

  • @Plu said:
It's honestly depressing to realise that HL3 will never be released tho, i really wanna know what happens to Gordon and even Adrian

I think there is no point in releasing HL3. The game can be as good as possible, but it would still not be good enough to live up to the Hype around it.

    Regarding Last Years:
    It is boring.

  • I am always amazed that you think that your post game chats are so important that you think you should open a thread about them.

  • Nurse, easily.

Behind that, either Billy or Spirit. Billy is far easier to play and has amazing Speed and Map Pressure, Spirit is way harder, but I feel when you are really good with Spirit, she is stronger than Billy.

  • Usually Killers cry here when they do not get the 4Ks. Weird world.

Dont worry, it is no fun for Survivors either. If you are on the hook and a Survivor is healing himself with Self Care vs an Unlimited EW3 Myers, you know that Rank Reset is near.

1 … 332 333 334 335 336 … 341
