It does not matter where you hook someone. You can use the same hook the entire game to aquire points.

Okay, this appears once in one level in a bloodweb, if you are a level 50, it takes a while to level up, could we see an increase in red envelope spawns in the bloodweb this event?Do you have any other non P3-50 characters?
Sadly on lower Levels there is no Envelope guaranteed. Leveled up Adam during the event, because I thought it would be better to spend less BPs per Envelope because he is not P3-50... Nope, some Bloodwebs without Envelope, so every 2nd Bloodwebe 1 Envelope for me.
-
Sadly it is not even 1 Envelope per Bloodweb. Leveling up another character, because then I would not need to spend so many Bloodpoints to get a new Envelope.
And well... Sometimes there is 0 Envelopes per Bloodweb. FAR to less...
-
You can destroy any Vessel. So if you have seen one before you can go back there after you hooked someone (as long as nobody else took it before of course).

this even is extra ######### for killers. it's sooooo stupid that killers got shafted like that, since they get waaaaaay less points per game then survivors. they need to buff points for killer cuz it's stupid rnBecause every Survivor gets the most amount of points... And the Survivor that dies with 4 Gens left got 4 points, way to strong...
Sigh...@Topic:
I like the event, but I would like to have more Envelopes. I only play one Character, Level 50, and I only get an Envelope every 2 or 3 games.
Will try to go for all cosmetics, but Feng would be the Number 1 to get. -
I am not even wondering why a Killer Main is complaining.
Well, tbh the only thing that should be changed is the time to destroy a Vessel, it is indeed quite low after the Unhook. And also the Killer should get the full 6 points for the sacrifice. If some person decides to kill himself on the Hook, resulting in only 1 Hook, the Killer should not be punished by that to only receive 2 Points instead of possible 6.
Other than that, the amount of points for a Killer is quite consistent, where as Survivors need to have one person alive at least escaping with the Vessel (not sure if this really counts, at least it does not count 3 times if 3 Survivors escape with a Vessel) and escape in general for a huge amount of points. If a survivor dies with 4 Gens left, he gets exactly 4 points for the Generator.
While the optimal result of Survivors is quite high, it is not reached in that many games, while the result of the Killer has quite a low span between the possible results. -
Insidious: Simply a Perk which promotes a really bad way of playing this game, also has a bigger impact on Solo Players and nearly no impact on SWF.
WGLF: For me the most stupid Perk in the game, it does not help you to survivor or does not help others to survive. If all of the WGLF Players would run We Will Make It...
-
Trying to get all, Number 1 will be Feng, Ace will be Number 2. Huntress is optional, since I am not really interested in playing her ATM.

You need merciless, and while difficult it is possible to achieve a Merciless Victory and having one survivor live. You do not need Merciless, you need to get a 4K. One person escaping will not give you the achievement, even if you get Merciless Killer.
But like you said, slugging needs to be done. If you want 4K, you need to slug.

Shelter Woods.
I do not count the Basement Stairs with that, but if you count them too, yeah, every Map has an opportunity to trigger Balanced Landing.
You can use the middle trees roots to use BL..
Damn, I remember, somebody told me before. But honestly, I was not on this map for a long time. I only get Rotten Fields a lot lately, lol.

That was the response to the post which said that you can buy Leatherface with Shards. Neither of the licensed Killers can be bought by Shards.
-
Vigil should do that to give this Perk some reason to exist.
But other than that, they are fine. If you are using Sprint Burst, try out Balanced Landing instead of it, it can be activated on nearly every Map, can give you some new loops, has an effect while Exhausted and you can actually run around the Map without having to worry that you will not have your Sprint Burst ready when you are in a chase. -

You get a 4K in the basement because the Survivors are playing bad. Not because you played good.
-
I cannot help that much with that, because from my experience Killers do not fall for Window fakes at this Ranks. But I barely try them.
You should try to loop him around, especially, when the Killer needs to go a long way. The Killer needs to break this Pallet, most likely they will do ASAP, otherwise they cannot catch you, if you vault the Pallet while he is going around.
If the way for the Killer is quite short (there are some really bad Pallets for that), you should try to get to another Pallet or use Windows and Pallets at this point, when a Window is nearby. If you feel that the Killer will get you, better go away sooner than later, so that you do not end up in an area where you cannot reach any goods spots to evade the Killer.Do not throw a Pallet down when you just took a hit, you have some sort of Speed Boost after taking a hit, so dont waste it to put down a Pallet. Also, when you think you can reach another Pallet, try to get to this Pallet and dont use the first one.
Dont use all of the Pallets in one area, especially, when Generators need to be done there. Those generators become REALLY unsafe when doing so, which can result in your team losing.
Always try to loop the Killer and dont throw done a Pallet immediatly.
When you suspect or know that the Killer has Spirit Fury, use the Pallet a little bit earlier and dont even try to go for the Stun. You will most likely get a hit when he is using Spirit Fury and Enduring and those two Perks are used quite frequently.
DONT use the Shack Pallet unless REALLY needed. It is the best Pallet in the game, if you are not injured, I would say that you should not use it at all, at least not early in the game. I once got down in the Shack because I did not want to use it, even when the Basement was there. After rescued I saw that one of my Teammates used it without even trying to loop the Killer. That hurt.
I think those would be some points. You can also look on Youtube for Tutorials, I myself am not an expert, I usually reach Rank 1 quite quickly, but my chases are not 100% optimal and well...ranking up is not that hard.
I am pretty sure other people can give really good tips.

-
While a 3v1 is frustrating, it is still winable, even if the game is not designed for 3v1. You will not "always" lose. Also you will not always rank down, because for ranking down you would need to play bad.
For 2v1, yeah, you most likely cannot win those. Simply search for the Killer and he either will let you go away or you are at least not wasting time in this match.

Yeah, but you are not a new player. So you should not have that big problems vs Ruin.
-
Of course SWF was intendend. You cannot make a Multiplayer Online Game without the possibility to play with multiple people.
If people really think that it was not intended, they are simply wrong. As wrong as you can be.
-
Funny thing: I have seen one Myers using the Tombstone Piece and Unlimited Evil Within... Did not work out how he thought it would be.
Tombstone Piece is not as often used and mostly you can try to predict it, because if he takes REALLY, REALLY long he either has Unlimited Tier 3 or Tombstone. And it is not so hard to realize that. Of course it can be possible that he just did not get a lot of stalk and does not have one of those Add-Ons, but better safe than sorry.
Regarding the Combo with the two Red Add-Ons: Only seen it once that this combo was used and the Killer needed to stalk the full game to get 1 Kill in return. Not really worth it.
It does not happen frequently that someone uses the red Add-Ons or the Tombstone Piece. And if you lose 1 game out of 20 vs Myers because of it, it is fine.
-
So you are a Red Rank Survivor on Rank 15? And use you being on a lower rank than you should be, to complain about Ruin?
-
Well, and then there are times where I do almost a full Gen before I even get e Skill Check to see if Ruin is active.
Its pure RNG. You will also not complain when you have nearly no Skill Checks.
Personally I think, even as a Survivor Main, that Ruin should trigger a minimum amount of Skill Checks. Maybe every 10 seconds or so...

This way if a survivor find it in a chase they will have to lose the killer instead of just running up to and standing on it, while the killer won't have to just stare at survivors once they go within a certain radius of it.It is nearly impossible to lose the Killer in a 1v1. The Killer does not have to care for anything else instead of getting you. Of course a Killer can be juked, but most of the time Killers let go because the chase is too long and others are doing Gens. This cannot happen when there is only 1 person left.
Hatch Stand-Offs are boring, but then just not let it come to a Stand-Off. I either try to trick the Killer or simply let them hook me, because I really do not want to waste my time waiting to get an escape. Especially when I pipped anyway.
And well... As killer you need to slug for the 4K. That is a fact.@TooHighForThis said:
Honestly you've managed to survive that long, at that point you kinda deserve the hatch.Sadly the last survivor alive is sometimes not the one that would have deserved the Hatch.

Basically, it would be enough if Players who dodge a Lobby, have to wait longer for the next Lobby. So 1 Lobby dodged = 1 minute waiting for the next Lobby to join. If dodged again, 2 minutes.. And so on.That suggestion has been made super often. Bottom line: It wouldn't work, it would only increase waiting times for survivors even more.
@Aven_Fallen said:
since Killers think they are entitled to decide if they want to have easy gamesHow are survivors not wanting an easy game if they are bringing items with them instead of playing without?
Good that Killers cannot use Add-Ons. Which are the equivalent to items.
Most killers need their add-ons since without them, their power is too weak. You can't compare it to medkits & toolboxes which are not necessary at all.
I'd always recommend that players play both killer and surv on highrank for a while so that they can get a feeling for what is how strong in this game.
Agree on the first point, but only a bit. For some Killers that might be true (e.g. Trapper), but the Killers played on High Ranks usually are good enough to play without Add-Ons. Something like Trapper, Wraith or Doctor is seen quite less.
Regarding the second point: I would love to, but sadly my Connection is not that stable. So I can only play Killer for fun, because I honestly do not want to annoy anyone with Lags (which can happen). Maybe will be changed with Dedicated Servers.
But, overall, I think nobody should decide who he wants to face. Otherwise Survivors should get an Option - Playing vs Legion? Nah, want to leave this Lobby. But that sounds stupid, why does it not sound stupid the other way?
And well, regarding SWF... You cannot design a Multiplayer Online Game without expecting that friends would like to play together. And most of the SWFs are not Dickheads.

Sadly Killers are complaining that Survivors feel entitled to live, but they feel entitled to decide who they want to go against. If there is no Lobby with 4 random People without any items, no need to play.
Also, Killers claiming that playing Killer needs Skill - and choose the easiest Lobbies. The amount of Lobby dodging after the Rank Reset is insane. Yesterday I got dodged 8 times in a row, maybe because of my (brown) Toolbox, I really dont know.
There needs to be some sort of queue which punishes dodging, for both sides. Because it is also not fun to have Survivors leave a Lobby, once 4 people are in that Lobby, because it simply can snowball from there on... 1 Person left, second Person left, third person left. Great, alone in the Lobby. Then a 2 Man SFW joins and the Killer chickens out.
Basically, it would be enough if Players who dodge a Lobby, have to wait longer for the next Lobby. So 1 Lobby dodged = 1 minute waiting for the next Lobby to join. If dodged again, 2 minutes.. And so on.But well, since Killers think they are entitled to decide if they want to have easy games, it will probably not change anything.
-
Logical thinking, the Terror Radius is 0 Meters flat. So there should be no revealing of the Survivors Location.
-
WGLF is a terrible Perk. It does not provide anything to the current game, it does not help you to survive or that others survive.
It really needs some change, because at the moment, it is just stupid. I got farmed more than enough, and while it does not happen frequently, it is bothering. So maybe only Safe Hook Rescues should count. Or maybe it should orientate at the Emblem System - Bronze will get you 1 Stack, Silver 2, etc.
-
If I am not mistake, Sheltered Woods is the only Map without a Drop (if you do not count the Basement). All other Maps have at least 2 possibilitys to drop.

Nah, it just shows that people do not even think a little bit further. The OP wants to nerf a Perk which is completely fine, without seeing the consequences.
If Self Care gets nerfed like that (32 seconds is already really long) so that it gets doubled or even trippled... There will probably be either more DS-Users, or more Resilience-Users. And I doubt that this is what the OP wants.
Nobody will use Self-Care when healing for at least 1 Minute. -
You can try to get as near as possible to avoid being tracked by BBQ. If you see someone going down and you can make it towards the direction, you should be fine.
Other than that, you need to hope that they do not go after you. Or, if you know that you will be seen by BBQ, go to an area where you can loop the Killer.
Or walk into one direction and after 6 seconds, run/walk into another direction. -
@twistedmonkey said:
The problem is the time it will take as others have pointed out so I don't know how it will work out but in paper it looks to be more annoying rather than fun.The problem with these events is they take away from normal play, why not simply reward what everyone does and give bonus event points for every extra you do like new survivor hooked for the first time, breaking totems etc.
That was the case for the Halloween-Event. While Survivors needed to do another Objective, Killers could just proceed with whatever they would have done anyway.
Personally, I would like to see that Killers see the Auras of Vessels a few seconds after they hooked someone. They would still need to spend time to go to the Vessel and destroy it, but they would not need to waste time searching it.

He is the easiest and most stupid designed Killer that can exist. Of course he needs more hits to down someone than other Killers, but it is a guaranteed Down, als long as the Killer is not completely incompetent. You cannot run away from him. And you cannot even dodge the Hits, he is very forgiving for mistakes. You did not hit the Target the first time during Frenzy? No worries, you have another try right away. Every other Killer gets penalized for poor Hits while Legion can simply spam M1.
Of course this all applies to one Person, but when you really get tunneled by him, it is just not fun. You can have a long chase (you most likely will), but that is all, you will not get out of this game. Which is in general fine, I feel that Pipping is Winning for me, but I would like to know that it is because of the Player and not the Killer.
Even bad Legion players will most likely get one Kill. If a bad Nurse-Player is going around, he will not have a guaranteed kill or win a chase guaranteed.
And then of course there is that kind of playstyle where Legion simply follows moonwalking or waits nearby until you have to mend. There is no way in avoiding this.
-
They DCed, it just seems to bug with the Symbol.
Fun Fact:
The person DCed can still be visible on the map. Yesterday one player DCed vs a 3 Blink-Nurse after downed the first time (Thanks for that, btw...). The Nurse dropped him, and we were able to heal him up. The Nurse could also hook him and we could rescue him from the Hook. Was a little bit strange.
