Yeah thicker skin is probably what's needed. It just sucks because it's so unnecessary for them to act like that. Some people just enjoy making fun of other people I guess.
"unnecessary for them to act like that"<---basically this.
I also cannot understand why exactly they are doing that, because it would not be any fun for me to be toxic.
If someone refuses to leave, you can also go somewhere and be afk, if you have something else to do. But if you want to go to the next game, you sadly have to smack them out.
-
Dont get taunted. Really, it is just childish behavior, smack them out and go to the next game.
Simply stand above it, if they need it, fine, but if you get bothered by it, they have what they wanted.

I wouldn't mind at all if someone doesn't wanna play against me.
But since Survivors abuse anything if it can be abused, then you know why it's not implemented...
Besides, you can just use MLGA or whatever it was called.
I dont have any problem with the players, just with Legion. So I dont want to play vs Legion, if there would be the option, I would gladly accept it to get dodged from time to time.
And btw. most of the time the Killers also dont dodge because of the player, but rather because of the Items they bring. And it is quite sad that I cannot equip any items so that I have a chance to not get dodged, but Killers can have their stuff (not talking about the "normal" Add-Ons, but sometimes Killers simply use things that are way too much)
-

Survivors can choose who to play with (SWF), but Killers can't?
I cant decide who I want to play against. Can I have this option too? I mean, Killers have it.

@Orion said:
There is no way to detect when someone is streaming. You'll just have to dodge.
I would say, there is no direct way to detect if someone is streaming.
You have either the more known streamers, who are only playing DBD when live or you have those streamers, who have a "T.TV" or similar in their name. They most likely have their Twitch-Account linked on their Steam Profile, and if not, you will be able to google them.
-
Legion is broken. He is the easiest and most braindead Killer, still he is not OP.
He cannot be buffed or nerfed. So yeah, I guess you will not get a clear answer about your question.
-
The Plague looks fine for me at this point. Sure I am playing vs Killers who do not have the optimal Perks, but from what I have seen, she is not too strong. I would say she is quite well-designed.
Even with the corrupted Purge, she can be looped. Of course, when you are in the open, you will go down to her, but this is the case with many other Killers (e.g. Leatherface...and nobody will argue that Leatherface is too strong).
Also I enjoyed all of my games vs her, regardless if I was able to escape or not (even though I would need to escape to pip now...).
So yeah, I would consider her fair. She is a good Killer.

And because of that BS, killers dodge survivors who dont ready up. Its a never ending circle =)
Which means, when they get rid of Lobbydodging, it would solve a lot of problems.
-
@The_Crusader said:
I'm sorry but if the survivors haven't readied up then I'm lobby dodging.
Far, farzm, far too many games with toxic idiots who do the last second switch to claudette or nea with the purple flashlights.
I'm not even fussed about a flashlight, it's just that I know these are going to be the toxic clicky-clicky people and I don't want to play with people like that.
I do the same as survivor too. I don't want these idiots on my team because they don't contribute anything. They don't do gens all they do is follow the killer around trying to be an ass. Most of the time they can't even get the flashlight saves because they're so useless. Then post game they cry about how everyone else was bad because god forbid these people accept that they cost the team the game by contributing nothing towards it.
Flashlight does not always mean that the person has to be toxic.
Besides that - yes, Last second Character switches are Bullshit. But they only exist, because Killers are dodging lobbies when they have the fear to not have an easy game. So BS exists because of other BS.
-
As a Killer: Never done that.
As a Survivor: 50 minutes. Only time I did this, now I wait a short amount of time if he hits me, if not, I will let him hook me, if he wants to be that sweaty, he might get it, I probably pipped anyway.
-
Really, it does not change anything for Survivor gameplay.
If playing you should assume everytime that the Killer has BBQ Tier 3. Even if the Killer is not using BBQ, Survivors still prepare for it and this is the correct way.
You only know afterwards what his Perks were, so just prepare for BBQ Tier 3 and go into 40 meters Range. Complaining afterwards that you did not need to go that close to the Killer, because he only had Tier 1 BBQ would simply be whining.
It is a QoL-change, which does not really affect the gameplay to counter it. It is fine.

Oh ok. Does that mean not every jungle jym has two pallets? I mean a minimum of 8 pallets isn't that much,or? Why would it cause jungle jyms to have 2 pallets?
The increase of fhe minimum amount is not what is causing this, the reducing of the distance is it.
Two Pallets on a Jungle Gym are indeed not really good.
Regarding the mimimum amount, I am fine with it, because some Maps really needed it. The Swamp sometimes has no Pallets in the middle area...
-
This change was needed. I still prefer Balanced Landing over Lithe, but when using Lithe, it was really frustrating that I did not get the Lithe-effect, even when thinking I would get it.
-
DC yeah. Suiciding no. There might be a reason to suicide. When I get hooked by the Insidious Leatherface in the basement, I will not hang there and wait for another person to die in the Basement.
-
Thats what the world needs - a Buff to Legion.
-
Cosmetics should not go into account. For Nea I am either wearing her P3-Head or the Pink Hair-Head, but I am not toxic or using DS. I rarely use Flashlights, but this is either to farm some BPs or to try to do Flashlight Saves. Which usually does not work, because I am really bad at it.
I had a game yesterday were a default Adam was the toxic one... Went to one of the best loops in the game and T-Bags me so that I chase him there. When I downed him, he DCed. Yeah, gj Dude.
btw. another aspect of Pink Haired-Nea: It is one of the few decent Head Cosmetics...Her Head Cosmetics look aweful, so this might be a reason why people are using it.

Honestly, I would press "Ready". Just to see how it looks like. As long as the Ping is 1100 consistent.

If you know how the pipping system works you can get to R1 without being good at the game at all. For example as a survivor, just hide like crazy, do 1 gen and 2 safe unhooks, there you pipped.
As a killer just smack people, give up the chase and camp gens, there's your pip if you even hooked 1 guy.
Survivors Ranking up is a completely different topic.
Basically, both, Killers and Survivors have it too easy to rank up. But to rank up with Killer, you need to actually understand what you are doing. Not when playing Legion, apparently.
-
Did it once for fun, to see how bad a 400 Ping match will be. Was quite ok, a high stable ping is easier to handle than a jumping ping. Would not do it on a regular basis tho.
Other than that, it might just be that the Survivor is doing other stuff in the internet while in the Lobby. While waiting in the Lobby I watch Youtube-Videos or simply search something. So my Ping might jump up, but it will be fine when the game starts.
-
Good example I had yesterday:
Played vs a Twitch Streamer who played Michael (if I play with or vs Twitch Streamers I like to watch the VOD). He was not really good, he got one Kill because he camped someone in the Basement and another Kill because of NOED. He also did not really do any mindgames, he was just following people. Still he was Rank 1.
After the game ended, I saw his Killers, and he barely leveled them. None of his Killer was above Level 40, only Legion was P3 50. So he was quite a new player who got to Rank 1 with Legion, without even learning how to play properly.
And this should not be possible.
-
Legion is bad designed and not good for the game. It is fun to play with multiple Stabs and the Speed, but yeah, he is braindead. You can miss 3 hits and still get the 4th without any penalty.
And no, Legion does not help with Gen Rush, he forces Gen Rush. No need to heal vs Legion, he is a 110% MS M1 Killer without his Ability. Basically a Huntress without Hatchets. So he gets looped quite easily, and honestly, when he then goes into his Frenzy to hit me, this is fine.
On the other hand there are his "tactics" like looking down or moonwalking, which are simply bullshit. Same goes for Franks Mixtape, yeah, you need 3 hits to down a Survivor instead of 2, but the first two are free...
Furthermore, there is no variant in his playstyle. With every Killer you can improve and try new things, not possible with Legion.
He is simply bad designed and broken, he cannot be nerfed or buffed. Best thing would be to remove him from the game until he is reworked, maybe give two free cosmetics to everyone who bought it when he comes back to compensate for it or so.
Also his points are simply dumb. It is so easy to Rank Up and get many BPs with Legion...
I am at the point where I simply want to DC once I see that the Killer is Legion. And I never had this feeling with any Killer, I can also get wrecked by a godlike Nurse or whatever, more enjoyable than playing vs Legion, even if the chases are long, but they are still quite dumb...
Even playing him feels wrong for me. Had a daily to apply 4 times the Deep Wound effect. After doing so I went afk in the Basement, because I cannot play something which I dislike that much.
But yeah, overall I would say he is braindead. By far the easiest Killer to play and to Rank Up.

How do you smack them out if an immersed stealth survivor is trolling you in some corner of the map?
This was not OPs point.
-
-
Often enough I see this happening when the Killer is too close to the hook. The Killer can still hook the Survivor then and gets free hits.
I dont see a problem with free hits.
-
Regarding Body-Blocking:
There are no Double Standards. You simply complain about things you dont understand.
If one or more Survivors are Bodyblocking you from carrying one person to the hook, it is not bannable. LIke explained. Often enough I see this happening in the Killers favor, because they dont manage to bodyblock enough for an escape, so the Killer was able to get in free hits.
If the Killer is bodyblocking a Survivor to get in a Hit (Wraith players like to do that), also, no bannable offense.
What is considered under non-allowed Bodyblocking:
As Survivor:
Bodyblock a Survivor so that he cannot escape one certain area.
As Killer:
Bodyblock one or more Survivors so that they cannot escape this area, e.g. Basement Stairs. Doing this for a short amount of time or to get one hit in is fine. But simply keeping them hostage so that they only can DC to move on is bannable.
-
Just smack them out and dont get taunted.
Sometimes I really think this community is full of children. On one side the children that like to bully the other kids and on the other side those who are whining and running to their mom because they get bullied in an online game...

Imagine someone gets so mad about a video game that they actually, seriously want to get some strangers family killed. I thought video games can't be a trigger for people running rampant in school but I'm not even kidding here, since I play DbD I am quite sure games can lead to such... "reactions". It's crazy.
Videogames are not the reason why people act like this in the postgame chat. They are #########, this is the reason, they act like this. And being online means that you are anonymous, meaning that nobody can punch you in the face for this.
Sadly this motivates to really disgusting things, wishing someone else death in the DBD chat is one of the more harmless things tbh, even though it is very bad behavior and clearly should be bannable.
People running rampant in school is also not a result of them playing videogames, it is just an easy "excuse" done by the media. A "few" years ago, books were this "excuse". In the future there will be a new medium which the older generation does not understand which will be responsible for things like school rampages, because it is easier to blame something you cannot understand or get into it than searching for the real issues.

What to know what bad game design is? The speed at which survivors can complete their objective.
This does not change anything on my opinion.
I mean, you can come up with "DS is bad gamedesign" and I would 100% agree. But this would not make NOED a better gamedesign for me.
If you have counter-arguments, bring them. But saying "X is bad gamedesign" is not a counter-argument.
-
There are occasions where tunneling is just logical and not the Killers fault.
Two examples:
As described before, unhooking while the Killer is nearby. It is just dumb and nobody can blame the Killer for coming back.
And also: When you unhook someone and hear the Killer approaching, dont hide. If the healthy Survivor is hiding, the Killer might only see the injured person and will go after them. They can still do so if both players are visible, but if the Killer does not have a chance to go after someone else, there is nothing he could do about that.
Had it yesterday that I was on my second hook, got unhooked and the person who unhooked me immediatly went into the next hiding spot. He was not hooked once, but let the injured person who was hooked twice die...
Though, if a Killer is abandoning a chase or not going after an injured person to get the other person (even if healthy), yeah, this would be tunneling for me. If I unhook someone, heal them fast with We Will Make It an take a hit when the Killer is approaching and he is ignoring me to go for the unhooked person... I consider this tunneling.
EDIT: But overall, I would say that Survivors have ways to avoid tunneling and are not using them...
-
Not complaining about NOED, but about some players using it. Like, if a Nurse, Billy or Spirit is using NOED; they are bad players. Those are by far the best Killers in the game and when they need NOED, it seems to be the player who is not good enough.
NOED itself is simply bad gamedesign. It is a bad designed End Game-Perk. An example of a good designed End Game Perk would be Rancor, it gives some form of Benefit to the Obsession while making it "guaranteed" (if this person is catched) to get a Kill.
Small Game is not a good counter vs NOED. I cleanse every Totem I find (except when the last Gen is almost done and I sit right next to the Totem, so I might cleanse it if it lits up), but there is no guarantee my Teammates are doing the same (even if I dont know why, because Totems give a good amount of points in a short time...).
Small Game would simply take me out of the Game until the Totems are cleansed, making it a 3v1. This means, I cannot do Gens, I cannot unhook someone, I cannot go on chases to distract the Killer. And I still would need to check Totem Spots, if I did not find all 5 Totems on my own, to see if I missed some Totems or if they were already cleansed.
But sadly, NOED will not go, Killer Mains are asking for more and more. Even with the DS-Nerf some even want the Perk to be removed... But well. It is how it is.
-
You can delete one of your Daily Rituals each day and get a new one.
-
You dont need to heal vs Legion if you DC right at the start. :)
-
A Jesus-Outfit in a Videogame would be more realistic than the actual figure of this book of fairytales.
Religious contents are critical tho. They might be ok in some countries, other countries are way more offended by them, because the people have a different approach to Religion.
-
The DS-Skill Check will occur immediatly after picked up. There is no dribbling anymore.

I probably would not like a Pizza which is delivered like that.

Does not really make sense when things are unlimited. This are not live conditions. The PTB needs to be as close as possible to the Live Build.
If the new Killer can use the purple and pink Add-Ons unlimited, the majority of people will use only those. And you cannot see if a Killer is balanced well, when Players are only using the strongest Add-Ons. Then the Killer might be classified as balanced when using them and when you dont have them, he is too weak.
This would be just one example. The only thing that needs to be changed on the PTB is to have a client for it so that Players do not need to switch between PTB and Live Build.
But in the current PTB, you cant test the new killer good, because you dont have all perks.
Because Bloodpoints.I mean, then it would be enough to make all Perks available. But the Add-Ons should simply be in Bloodwebs so that not everything is available for free. That way also brown and yellow Add-Ons are used, which helps with Balancing.

MM is really strange the last days. One game was like this:
Killer Rank 17, 2 Rank 1s, 1 Rank 11, 1 Rank 8...Played Killer for a Daily, I am Rank 15, got matched with 2 Red Ranks and 2 Purples.
Ping is fine though.

Every evening I have at least one of those.
A friend of mine had one while we were both throwing in Party Streamers, the Killer also and one Survivor a green envelope... A lot of BPs he missed.
-
Had two of those lately.
Number 1: Myself Rank 3, other Survivors 16, 17, 19. Killer Rank 9.
Number 2: Friend and myself as 2 Man SWF, both Rank 2. Other Survivors Rank 13 and 15. Killer Rank 9.The three on the first game might be SWF, one of them had good perks, the other two did not have good Perks.
Second game the two survivors might also be a 2 Man SWF or both Solo, but their Perks were also decent.
(All Tier 3 from different characters)MAYBE they are testing something on the live build? Where the Rank is not taken into account, but the hours played?

Make it completely useless like all the hex if one perk is OP (when it use) you must have one completely counter
DS is not OP.
I see it multiple times a day where a Survivor hits the DS Skill Check and is downed 10 seconds later again.
And I see it multiple times a day where DS allows a 2-3 gen chase become a 4-5 gen chase.
I did not say that it is good game design. But he is not OP. If a potato uses DS, he will still be a potato, maybe extend a chase by a few seconds.
