100% agreed.
The new Pipping System does not work together with the old Matchmaking. It needs to be reverted for now and reviewed again. And if stricter Ranking System is implemented again, it should be with a (also reviewed) version of the new Matchmaking.
Both together will work, only one of those does not work.
-
What do you mean with "recovery rate can stay the same"? It is no different from recovering without Tenacity.
To your idea:
I think Tenacity is fine. Even with 50% faster you will be able to crawl to a position where the Killer will not find you.

insta-downs need same skill to work ( look if they right behind you that your problem ). But insta-heal have no skills and you can find them in the chests.
Someone who is good at playing Huntress does not need even more Skill to use her Hatchets.

Again… nothing but personal attacks and false assumptions.
It's getting kind of boring by now.
Then dont answer on my posts, ok? :)
I will ignore yours, because you are clearly not able to think about the other side. And even when I have nothing better to do when I am in the forum, I will not waste my time with you anymore.

For Survivor Ranking, it might be worth to consider that the other 3 Survivors (or how many are left alive) will get some points for their Emblems if someone is doing an Action.
E.g. I am unhooking a person and healing them. This counts for my Emblem System for 100%, for all the other 3 Survivors it counts as 25% from what I got (Percentage just made up). Of course there would still be a race for Unhooks or Gens, but someone is not doomed to get a De- or Blackpip, when he is only getting chased the whole game or never get to an Unhook, because he is too far away. In the end, it is a Team effort.
It would also help with the Killer playing bad so that only a few Unhooks or Chases can be done.
In general the Survivor System needs some tweaks, it is ridiculous that at Rank 1 you cannot find any games as Killer. Even though, Killer System also needs some tweaks.

" if they cannot DC anymore, they will simply quit playing"
And here we go again… survivor doublestandards.
Survivor mains complain about lobby dodging killers like crazy and ask for punishments and attacked every killer main that said something along the line "If I am forced to play toxic SWF, I stop playing", but now survivor mains use the same "argument" for their purpose and call it perfectly legit.
Read my post again... :)
"things that are unfun for EITHER side"... I know, you cannot imagine it, but there are two different sides playing. Not just the Killer Side.
But well... Hard to understand, eh?

"You can complain all you like. It will never get fixed.

niark niark"
Is basically their mindset.
Maybe it's time for you all to take a break.
You wouldn't want being responsible for letting kids playing/polluting a Mature rated game don't you ?
I mean, you can bring up a "funny" post with a few pics. You are doing it a lot. But there is always no substance in it. So they are basically meaningless when you are not able to bring any arguments.
It is simply a fact, things that are unfun for either side need to be adressed. This happened with DS. Even though I never saw a Killer DC because one person had DS or because he got hit by a DS.
At the moment, people can DC. There is almost no punishment for it. This is far from ideal, but, if they cannot DC anymore, they will simply quit playing. It does not matter how much fun the whole game is or what you like about the game, if there are a few things that are simply unfun, people might stop playing DBD. And if this happens, it is a problem, because I would say that none of us want to play a game with far less players. (and furthermore - those who actually WANT to be the game unfun for the other side, all the toxic players, will most likely stay. Because they still have their fun in bullying the other side)
And yeah, you (and the other simply minded person) are what is wrong in this game - people with no empathy for the other side.

I thought it was 60 seconds anyway. Had to run across the whole hospital map as Hillbilly then caught him healing. Must have been a glitch.
You will be the Obsession AFTER you used DS. You will have no Indication if the person has DS.
From my experience, one random player is the Obsession, if any of the 4 Survivors is using DS. I dont know if this is intended or not, tbh.
-
No, you are the Obsession after using DS.
-
I use both. Works quite well, it is flexible.
If I would need to choose, I would go for Balanced Landing.
-
@Wolf74 said:
"No, moonwalking is an exploit it wasn't an ability they gave him and the devs even said it wasn't intended."
Isn't this the very same situation as "looping"?
Aka the abuse of different sized hitboxes.
Looping wasn't intended either and still survivor call it a "feature" now and defend it to death.
Oh come on, this Bullshit again?
Moonwalking is an Exploit, Looping is not. But I know, you basically want that Survivors spawn on Hooks. You can make Looping an Exploit, when there are way more Pallets and Windows on the Map.
And yes, 100% justified to DC vs a moonwalking Legion. Playing the easiest Killer in the game AND using Exploits. Great. And well... It is not because the player is playing Legion, it is because of the way he is playing it. It is up to him if he wants to use this Exploit, because he is simply bad.
In General, DCs should be punished. Will maybe come with Dedicated Servers. Same will go for Lobby-Dodging, hopefully. Killers should not be able to cherrypick their games. It is ridiculous that I am not allowed to bring a Med Kit, but the Killer can bring his Pink Add-Ons.
-
The only problem is that people think that P3 means "good with this character". Which is not true.
Just ignore it.

I just don't want enduring to be punished too hard.
If they specified it only affects pallets and turn it into that; enduring should become more potent.
Nono, its fine.
I was just saying that if something is changing, I would rather prefer Enduring not affecting DS instead of raising the Stun Time of DS.
Might have written it in an odd way.
-
@Wolf74 said:
Bad ideas are mostly shut down, because they are BAD ideas.

@Topic:
Yeah, would be ok. But if a change is happening, it should not affect DS. Raising the time would simply punish people for not bringing Enduring.

@The_Crusader said:
Isn't this a good thing?
If you see an obsession in your game it means SOMEONE has DS, but not neccesarily the obsession.
This means play safe, don't tunnel any of them.
I would also consider this a good thing, but I dont know if it was intended that way or if this was the only way to solve this, because it might not be possible to generate a Obsession mid game.
-
I say "gg" when I think that the other side played fair. If I dont think that a "gg" would be justified, I will simply leave, most of the time. If the Killer thinks he needs to be salty, well, I am always open for discussions.
Maybe, if the Killer dominated our Team, I will say "gg, was close", but more as a Joke.
But in general, I would say that 95% of the games I am in, I also say "gg" at the end.
-
Keys are very powerful, at least the Dull Key and Skeleton Key. Keys which are common or uncommon would be no different from the Broken Key, because there cannot be any other use than "nothing" for them.
Maps - even the Green Map only shows Gens and needs Add-Ons. A Common or Uncommon Map would need to totally rely on Add-Ons, which would make it not really used.
Overall, those would only be things which would take place away in the Bloodweb. And there are already so many useless things in it.
-
This "The game is only for Survivors" makes your post quite whiny. And it is not true at all.
Other than that, Totem Placement is an ongoing process. I mean, I know it takes a lot for people on the internet to actually read, but when it was announced, they also mentioned it will be an ongoing process. So it is not finished yet.
Besides that, Totems should also change in appearance. They stick out too much. They look great, but it should take more time searching for them so that they cannot be seen from a great distance. Maybe reduce their height by 33% or even 50%.
@KillermainBTWm8 said:

Are you using any Exhaustion Perks on Feng which you dont use on Jane? Like Lithe?
Remember, Head On is an Exhaustion Perk, which means you cannot use it when Exhausted.
-
Thank you!
Was thinking the same when I posted a Bug in the Bug Report-section. It is a known bug, but I could not know.
Basically a Thread should include all the known Bugs and Issues as you said, but also things that might be strange (especially for new players), but are not a Bug.
-
Basically this means that Exhaustion, when you get away from the Killer (which is a) you are not running anymore and b) you are out of Terror Radius) is buffed by having half of the time it is needed.
Exhaustion Perks are still very good at this point, I would say the Majority runs at least one of them (excluding Adrenaline). No further changes needed, especially no Buffs.
-
Feng is way to slim to actually have an impact.
...
Nah, a friend of mine is using it on Kate and it works well. (It may be because of her Boobs, but that is just speculation)
-
At the moment, one random person is the Obsession when someone uses DS. Maybe they used this to implement the Obsession at all?
It was like that on the PTB, so either the Bug got carried on, or it is intended.
Btw. tunneling someone for being Obsession just shows that the Killer player was not really thinking what he is doing. There are only two Perks that give a Obsession at the Start of the Game, Object of Obsession (which the Killer would see, because he can see the Survivor) or Sole Survivor, which is meaningless.
-
Basically this: When you hear that she has Corrupt Purge, dont get seen. You can still loop her, but it is not that easy as looping a Huntress, so simply try to avoid her.
And, for the sake of your Team Mates: When only one Fountain is left, dont cleanse yourself while another person is being chased. This gives her Corrupt Purge and your Team Mate will probably not be happy about this.
Plague is fine as she is. She was even before the Movement Speed Nerf.
-
Instead of reading this, the next person will open a topic about this. I mean, why should they read this? Looking at the Forum they could use one of the 100 other Threads about this Topic, where it would have been already stated that those are Bugs.
But well, appreciate that you are trying.
-
Good ideas. In general the Survival Category is quite strange, you basically only get BPs when escaping. The rest are some meaningless actions like Mending or Snap Out... Even Self Heal Skill Checks dont count for Survival.
Personally I would prefer the second idea, because it rewards doing something.
-
You are terrible one-sided and have no empathy for the other side. In fact, your opinions cannot be taken seriously.
I mean, the Instadown-Hatchets is a prime example of your argumentation. You dont have 1 Hatchet, you use it with another Add-On to have 3 Hatchets. In almost 1000hrs of DBD I have only seen one time that a Huntress only used that one Hatchet. And I am pretty sure this was a challenge.
So, 5 Hatchets or 3 with Insta-Downs...easy choice, I would say.
(Not that I say that this combination is OP, it is very strong and removes a lot of fun on both sides, but your argument basically was idiotic.)
EDIT: Also, defending Moonwalking... It takes time...Yeah cool. It takes a few seconds so that the Survivor can be downed with the next Frenzy Hit. But with the argument "It takes time" you can say that to every chase. "It takes time". Obviously. Survivors dont spawn on the hook.
-
It sounds good, but overall I think it is not that useful. Especially when combined with Ruin - instead of doing Gens, the Survivors will move. They cannot spawn on Ruin, but since they are walking around the Map, they are more likely to find Ruin at this point.
So I think combining with Ruin is counterproductive. Maybe if you combine it with Distortion, but if the Survivors do not do any Gens at all for the first two minutes, you are down to two Perks. And in general, using two Perks for one thing is kinda meh.
LIke said before, for Killers who need Setup, it might be a good thing. But overall I would consider it a "okish" Perk, but nothing that will be in the Meta.

Could it be a visual bug that doesn't show the infected VFX?
I was sitting on the Gen for a while, I started it and after like half a minute I started to get sick. My friend was getting sick at the same time, he not on the same Gen.
-
I like playing vs her, I also liked it on the PTB. She is not the easiest Killer to verse, but it does not feel unfair or that she has no counterplay.
Though; i dont like getting sick randomly. Today I got sick while sitting on a Gen which was not touched by a sick person nor puked by her. I simply began to get sick. Might have been a Bug, but well.
-
Yeah, good ideas. I mean, the Lobby Times for Killer will be shorter the less players are playing.
But well... Hard to understand the other side, eh?
Is there a possibility that Lobby-Dodging of KIllers is punished with Dedicated Servers? Getting dodged like 5 times in a row (which is not frequent, but can happen...record is 11 times for me, even if I might not be the reason) is not fun at all.
-
Banning people instead of fixing issues is totally healthy for a game that needs to rely on their players.
If they cannot DC, they would probably not play at all. Which is bad.
(Not that DCing is good at all. But issues should be fixed, otherwise players will stop playing.)
-
Honestly, I think Rancor is a well designed End Game Perk. You even get to know if it is Rancor, what the Killer is using.
If you get hooked right before and the Killer can get you easily because of it (even if you have Adrenaline)...Yeah, thats unlucky. But nothing more.
Just try to avoid any chases in End Game, when you know that the Killer has Rancor. I also died because of it, but it helped my Team to win, so I dont care that much. And often enough I saw the Rancor-Person escape. It is fine.
-
You are terrible one-sided. If something is bugged, it needs to be fixed. Of course Borrowed Time is also used by Hook Rushers, but it is also used in a responsible way.
But well... Guess you want it easy?
-
If you want to have Devour Hope, just get it. Even if Ruin is in the Shrine afterwards, you should be able to get the 2k Shards for it easily.
You can also save 9000 Shards to get Hag, she is fun to play.
-
Survivor: Balanced Landing (but enjoying Dead Hard at the moment, so I might run both)
Oh yeah, explanation: I thought BL is pretty weak, but then I realized it is not as situational as I first thought. Since then I am using it and it helps me a lot.
Killer: Devour Hope or Spirit Fury, cannot decide.
Gathering Tokens is fun and it is a cool experience when you get the 5 Tokens. For Spirit Fury, I simply like that it can surprise people and with Enduring I simply like how less ######### are given during a Pallet Stun.
-
Prestige does not need any rewards. You get cosmetics. It is 100% optional to prestige a character, either you want to do it for the Cosmetics of if you dont like them, you should not prestige them.
For Devotion, yes, some form of reward would be nice.

If Nurse would have been released today, she would have some Downsides. Maybe not seeing Stratchmarks when charging a Blink?
Since Killer Mains indeed would riot if they would nerf one of the Top Tier Killers, this will not happen.
But lets say, they want to nerf something - they can nerf the Add-Ons, sure. Nurse does not need more than 2 Blinks. Nurse also does not need Omegablink. The overall concept of her might also be changed, but those would be quite heavy Nerfs. And I can imagine it would be hard to balance it in a way that she is not too weak afterwards and also be able to have some Nerfs AND to make Killer Mains happy.
Yeah, it will not gonna happen.

What a dumb thread.
-
I would call it dead after a few months.
-
Except for Hope, good ideas.
Hope is actually pretty useful, the only "problem" is that there are two End Game Survivor Perks, and Hope is the worse of them. But overall it is a decent Perk.
2 Minutes should also be enough to either get out of the Exit or get chased by a Killer so that another Survivor can open the Exit Gates.
-
So you base your opinion on things you saw in Videos?
I mean, I actually played a lot of hours on the PTB and I had pretty good games vs The Plague. I did not escape all the time, but I would guess I escaped more often than I would have done on the Live Server.
Of course I will have to wait for the Plague to go live for a deeper opinion (also Nerfs and Buffs should not happen after the release on the Live Server, PTB is good to find major things, but for the finetuning the Live Server is needed).
So you should actually play vs the Plague on your own (and probably with her), then you can base your opinion.
-
PC > PS4, if you can afford a good PC. This is a general rule and would also apply for DBD.
Bill is part of a free DLC, so he will be in the Base Game.
-
Just a thought that came into my mind, because the Posts and Threads of the OP are pretty one-sided.
-
If the Killer decides to let the Survivors farm (because of a DC or a 3 man game for example), I usually let him hook me. Some refuse to do it, tho and I dont want to waste anybodys time by running to a hook again and again.
So yeah, if the Killer is nice, why not.
If the Killer does not any Kills, I do not let him hook me, because I think I earned it to escape, when I did well. Of course the Killer earns it to hook me, when he got me, so I am not mad if a Killer does not give the Hatch in a 3 man game or when somebody DCed early.
But well, might be another Bait-Thread.
-
Would not call it salty.
If someone wants to be toxic, he should at least be good at it. People flashlight-clicking and bodyblocking a Killer going down in seconds is even more embarrassing.
-
The number of Unhooks possible is limited.
-
Plague can be looped, especially next to Walls where she cannot spit over.
If you get caught in the open, yeah, you will go down easily. But this goes for every Killer.
