How are the Red Ranks right now? Empty.
At least for Survivor it is really hard to pip. As Killer it is easier, because the Killer does not need to share anything. But as Survivor you have to hope that there is a semi-competent Killer (=good enough to take down your Teammates, but not good enough to make it difficult for you) and one or two Potatoes in your Team so that they get hooked to give you Unhooks and dont do enough Gens so that you can do them. But they should not be too potato, because then you might lose because of it.
So yeah... Red Ranks are a wasteland, survivor-wise.

We have been keeping an eye on feedback and will make changes if it is necessary. I can't make any promises just yet, but we will do our best to keep you posted.
I hope you also take into account the number of people using MoM. Because in my games I rarely see MoM used. I am either Solo or part of a 2 Man SWF, but other Survivors dont use this Perk. And I rarely see any Ashs after Release Day.
I couldnt care less about a change of this Perk, because I am not using it, but it is ridiculous that people cry about it even before it is actually live for a longer time to give ACTUAL Feedback and not just Doomsday scenarios.

It is only to get attention. If anyone wants to leave he will simply do it.
I wrote it in another thread: In another game I am playing (World of Tanks) the Forum Account is linked to the Game Account so that the Battle Count is displayed in the Forum. People open a lot of Threads that they will leave the game, either because things are unfair or they suspect Cheating (they are always very bad at the game, when you look up their stats)... And you see the Battle Count rising.
So yeah, those are just people who seek for attention. Nothing more. Glad about anyone who is not like that.

Spirit and Enduring are good.
But you need 2 perkslots for it.
Haunted Ground and Rancor are situational.
And all Plague perks are not good enough.
Neither of Janes Perks is good enough.
Jeffs Perks are also mediocre or useless.
Adams Perks are also quite useless, apart from Deliverance.

In the last 3 Chapters:
Killer 4 perks.
Survivor 7perks(9 with the new Survivor).
I think there is a difference of what you think is decent and what people use. I mean, I love Autodidact, I like to have some form of "Gamble" in it and can help a lot once I have my stacks. But it is nothing that is used.
And so are many other Survivor Perks. If you go for the last 3 Chapters, I only see Deliverance really used. Rarely Aftercare and Distortion. And while Head On sounds fun, it is so unrealiable.
But Spirit Fury, Distortion, maybe Haunted Ground and Rancor and on a rare Occasion Corrupt Intervention are more used than the recent Survivor Perks. The Difference is just that Killers actually have to rely on different Perks in their "group". A Nurse Main will not see anything in Spirit Fury.
-
During the last Chapters Killers got quite some decent Perks. Survivors nearly no decent Perks at all.

"And now that I think of it, MoM sure sounds like an anti Legion perk."
Forgive me if I am ignorant, but it does? Does Legion's Feral Frenzy attacks not add stacks to Mettle of Man?
Maybe he means it in a way that Legion is more forced to use his Power than just using M1?
But other than that:
Thanatophobia Buff would have been nice, but as long as Legion exists in this state, it is not good at all to buff Thana like that. You cannot create a Killer which makes Healing a bad thing and then buff a Perk so it impacts the game so much.
So yeah, you can thank Legion for that.
-
Old DS was WAY worse than MoM. Over a long course, MoM will not be that popular. It is good, but not as good to replace other Metaperks.
And yeah, you could work around DS, by a little bit. But dribbling was annoying, and slugging was some form of solution but still not ideal.
But lets not forget an even bigger thing - non-Obsession DS. There is no "playing around" at all in this case. You had no indication to know if that person had DS, so no need to slug them or dribble them. But it took way more momentum than the Obsession DS, because even though nobody would do a long chase vs a DS-User, winning a long chase and then realizing that this Survivor has DS but was not Obsession can hurt even more.
So yeah, I think that MoM is nowhere near the old DS.

Sure, as soon as we also delete Insta-heals, we get a fix for genrush and end-game and we make all killers viable, a.k.a make them Billy tier
Honestly, if I see OPs post, I can agree to some degree.
Moris--> I think they are okish, but I would wish for an Pink Offering for Survivors which would prevent getting morid after the first hook and delays it to the second hook (just to give someone an option if he has had a bad day and wants to make sure he does not lose because of a Mori, and also to give Survivors a Pink Offering again for the Achievement)... This would not impact that much and will mostly be used without any impact, but this would be the only thing.
Iridecent Heads--> One of the few pink Add-Ons I would consider too strong. Would change it in a way that it is a max. of 2 Hatchets without any chance of getting more. Would nerf it a little bit, but gives opportunity to use other Add-Ons (like Wind-Up). Because 3 with Insta-Downs (combined with the Belt) or 5 normals is a pretty easy decision.
Spirits Purple Add-On-->Maximum change from my side would make it Ultra Rare. Swap with Fathers Glasses. Other than that, fine (even ok as Purple Add-On from my side, it is strong, but I dont feel it is unfair)
EW3 Myers-->THe other pink Add-On I would consider too strong. It takes more Evil to reach, but not that much that it is nearly impossible. And having an easy Insta Down the whole game..
Instasaw-->Would call this fine.
Nurse Add-Ons-->Those can be reworked or removed. Nurse does not need Omegablink, neither does she need more than 2 Blinks. She will be the best Killer and no Killer will ever be stronger than Nurse, except they nerf her completely, which will not happen. But things like this are not needed. And if a Player is good with Nurse and using those Add-Ons, it would most likely not make a difference.
And on the other hand, the Stuff you mentioned is also nothing that is fine as it is(even though I still hate the Term "Genrush").
There are many flawed things in this game. And those cannot be solved by only fixing a few things, like doing something about Insta-Heals would not make anything better for the overall balance. Basically a DBD 2.0 must exist with a HUGE rebalance of everything that needs to be rebalanced. And I doubt that this is gonna happen.
But the crying on both sides because of Stuff like this is ridiculous.

It's almost like the perk was just released and nobody has had time to unlock the teachable and put it on Claudette or Meg.
Yeah, people never spent BPs. I have this Perk teachable, and many others will also have saved 1 Million BPs.
And if you would actually read - the number of Ashs was quite low. I think I played like 15 games yesterday evening and only two had a Ash in it.
(I mean, you can continue crying, if you like. If it lets you feel better...why not?)
-
The whining about MoM will stop once people realize that it is not as common used as they think.
Yesterday I had nearly no MoMs and those who played MoM played Ash. The general shitstorm will go down, even though there will be some people left (like always).

Would be interesting indeed, because right now it doesnt make any sense for me
For me neither.
I know that it does not work for Nurse, that is 100% for sure, because I had a game vs Nurse when I tested MoM.
But then somebody told me that it does not work vs a Hag who teleported, but that does not make any sense to me, why the Devs would make a difference between those two.

In Ash's case, you cant buy with shards. And I believe hes 500 auric cells, so its basically a free glove if you buy him "in store".
I mean in general, not only the Ash DLC, but every DLC should have some more Cosmetics when bought via real money. I dont expect the really expensive cosmetics for 1080 Auric Cells included, but some of the cheaper ones would be great.

@TheBean said:
Well basically... it is a bugged perk put on release.
It doesn't look like the Devs tested it, since if it works against the Hags phantasm attack, then the testers failed or the Devs didn't properly describe the perk to everyone.
Would be nice to get a verified list of attacks made by each killer and if the perk is affected or not.
Cause otherwise... If you use your special attacks all the time, then it shouldn't matter to many players.
I don't mind taking Billy and being forced to one shot everyone...Nurse.. Only blink attacks... Wraith always surprise attacks... etc..
If no one else does it before, I will try it with every Killer in KYF tonight. Depending if I get my internet back until then (currently changing the provider...).
-
It does not work on Nurse. It also does not work on Spirit when coming out of Phasewalk. It should not work on Wraith when uncloaked. However, it does work on Hag, even if she teleports (Dont know what the difference would be between Nurse Blinks and Hags Teleports..)

Out of curiosity, what makes Flip-Flop good?
If you are in a 4 man SWF, it might be possible to distract the Killer enough (one person with a Flashlight helps a lot) that the Survivor on the ground can actually recover a bit and has a lot of Wiggle progress ready. The maximum Wiggle progress would be 47,5%, which is already a lot and can deny getting to a hook quite easy.
This can also happen in Solo games, but it is unlikely to be honest.
So overall I would say that Flip Flop might be more of a problem than MoM, especially given the fact that it potentially can help SWF a lot more than Solos.
(Of course all of it regarding the strength is speculation until the Perk is live for a good amount of time)
-
Oh god, really? Do you really take me serious on this?
Afaik I am the only person who stated this (at least I have not seen any other post), and it is just stupidity to fight stupidity.
-
@TAG Good to know, even though the Ambush Attack of the Pig is not amazing.
@Tzeentchling9 Nice, thanks for the Info. Even though I dont understand the logic behind this, because Nurse Blinks count, but Hag Teleports not. But well, so I need to take this into account when playing Hag.

I will ask again, what good perk did the killers receive last time?
Honestly?
Look at the last 4 chapters.
Clown Chapter:
Survivors:
Except for Dance with Me, which is nice (but nothing more) useless Perks.
Clown:
Bamboozle, which can help with Loops. Pop goes the Weasel is also used.
Spirit Chapter:
Maybe Deliverance, but only really useful when nobody is coming for the Unhook (or to get the 1500 points to Unhook yourself right before I arrive at your hook so that you cannot even get healed by me...)...Diversion is a funny perk, but good Killers will not fall for it. And Autodidact can even hurt your team.
Spirit:
Spirit Fury, which is Meta combined with Enduring. Haunted Ground to protect Hex Totems, also used quite often (but its RNG). Rancor not used that often, but a nice Perk, even better with Old DS to punish that DS User.
Legion Chapter:
Survivor-->Aftercare is used a little bit, but Bond is better. Breakdown is garbage. Distortion is quite ok, but only when really sneaky. Not needed anymore because of Lockers hiding Auras.
Legion-->Discordance is great. One of the best tools to find Survivors. Mad Grit is Trash, so is Iron Maiden (maybe useful on Huntress, but does not make it "not trash")
Plague Chapter:
Survivor-->Head On, which was DS 2.0 (hahaha). Is fun, but not reliable at all, also situational. Poised and Solidarity are garbage.
Killer-->Corrupt Intervention, blocks some Gens and helps Killers who need time for Setup, good Perk. Infectious Fright (or how it is called), even though apparently it got nerfed because Nurse Blink Hits dont trigger it (which is bad)...And the TR Perk is garbage.
So we have:
Bamboozle, Spirit Fury, Haunted Ground,Discordance, Corrupt Intervention (and maybe Rancor) on one side
On the other Side:
Deliverance, maybe Distortion and Dance with Me
Pretty clear, I would say.

Hi RSB
-
What about waiting a few weeks to see how MoM is doing? Or is it satisfying to cry about things that are in the game where nobody really knows how they work out in the end?
The only thing I see which is bad on MoM is that weak(er) Killers are more affected.
Trapper-->Is a M1-Killer. He has traps, but well...
Wraith-->Should be not affected when uncloaking and doing a Surprise Attack. Is affected when chasing normally
Hillbilly-->Most likely affected because he cannot use his Chainsaw effective on Loops
Nurse-->Not affected
Hag-->Affected, even with teleports (corrected)
Huntress-->Not affected, unless you decide to go M1 with her.
Myers-->Affected, but with EW3, more Hooks for the Tokens you create or simply not activating it, when the Person is healthy and downed.
Doctor-->100% affected.
Leatherface-->See Billy
Freddy-->Affected...sigh
Pig-->Affected. Dont know if Ambush Attacks count, probably not, but well..
Clown-->I dont know if Bottle into attack would count. Dont have Clown.
Spirit-->Out of Phasewalk should not affect it.
Legion-->Does not affect unless you go M1
Plague-->Does not affect unless you go M1
I think the Killers who are hurt the most by MoM are Trapper, Freddy and Doctor, and those are probably the 3 weakest Killers. That is the only issue with this perk.
But right now I would simply say that in a few weeks, at maximum 1 Person will run MoM in a Trial.

@Aven_Fallen Killing survivors equals to being an "xxxhole"? A Nurse doesn't have to tunnel, but take a look at the weaker killers. If the killer doesn't play strict + hard, he has no chance in winning. So Leatherface and Doc should just simply accept that everyone is going to escape? The only important thing is that the survivors had a "fun" game?
Nope, it is the Killers Job to do that. But, if the Killer is in a chase, just injured a Survivor (pretty quick) and abandones this chase to tunnel the person who just got unhooked, yes, this is not necessary. And yes, some Killers do this with 4 Gens left to go, I am not talking about situations where only 2 gens are missing and one person needs to be removed so that the Killer does not end with 4 Gens left and 4 Survivors alive.
You can be effective AND fair. Same goes for the Survivor Side. If there is that guy trolling and t-bagging, I am the last person blaming the Killer when he tunnels a Survivor who likes to behave like a little child and thinks it is ok to ruin the fun of others.

A question to you.
How many hooks do you need to kill a survivor team? 3 or 12?
4-12. When playing Legion, most likely 2, because the other two DC. (Thats only assuming all 4 load in...Which is a rarity these days)

Yeah well the stupid me bought him first with Auric Cells and then I remembered that you get an exclusive cosmetic if u buy the actual dlc... so then I bought the dlc too bcz I just wanted the cosmetic but I kinda expected something... more different tbh
Well that sucks :/
I mean, I am totally with you, paid cosmetics in a DLC should be more different from the base cosmetics. But this is for all the DLCs released lately. Which makes me question why I should buy Killers and Survivors for 7 Euros, when I also can pay 18k Shards for them.

@PunL So killer is the role of "fun provider" for survivors? Helplessness against genrush, teabagging, flashlight clicki clicki - everything is fine as long as the survivors have fun?
So Killers are allowed to be ######### while Survivors are not allowed to be #########?
Really, I play the way that everyone hopefully has as much fun as possible. And I almost never had anyone complaining about my way of playing, regardless on which side they are. In fact, Survivors complaint a lot more about me when I am Survivor than the Killer does or Survivors do when I am playing Killer, lol.
And honestly, trying to play like everyone has fun in this game is nothing that is wrong.
-
If you would buy him with Auric Cells, it would be the same amount of money you would have to spent for the Cells. So there is no difference.
-
Mostly Metal. Started with Bands like Linkin Park and Slipknot, went over to Bands like Vanitas (my favorite band, even though they dont exist anymore) or Eisregen.
Mostly German language, stuff like Equilibrium, Varg...Pagan Metal in general. But lately I also hear some more English music.

@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
It concerns me the amount of people who are coming on here to say they are abandoning the game. I hope the devs are reading.
Honestly, writing a Good Bye-Thread looks more like getting attention in a way like "If you dont change this, I stop playing!".
I know this from a different game (World of Tanks) where the Battle Count is linked to the Forum Account. People come to the forum and say that they stop playing the game for various reasons, but you see that the Battle Count is still raising.
It will be most likely the same for the majority of those posts. In the end, only player numbers matter and not some people on the Forum who say that they will stop playing.
-
I have way more fun vs Nurse. I get crushed by a good Nurse, I will probably depip and not get a lot of BPs. But it is still fun, because I can actually TRY to get rid of her in a chase. This does not happen with Legion. Sure, the chases are long, but they are frustrating and boring.
I DCed two times vs Legion. Both times they were using Franks Mixtape.
1st time I had a bad evening already and I knew I wont touch this game for a long time if I would really play vs Legion at this point. So I DCed to save my mood.
2nd time it was a 3v1 with 5 Gens (the player did not DC because of Legion, basically the game loaded in with him DCed), Legion hit me and started moonwalking. And no, I wont play a 3v1 with 5 Gens vs a Moonwalking Legion. One of the other people also DCed, and the player let the last Survivor do two Gens (I mean, when he has enough empathy for this, he could also have enough Empathy to not his stupid Exploits in a 3v1 with 5 Gens..)
But I can understand and dont blame anyone not playing vs Legion. I also want the game to be over as soon as possible. Even if they leave me behind, yeah, its ok. I can get behind this.
-
Nah, it is fine as it is. I dont have any problems with those two Perks, even though I prefer the Killer having Ruin over Corrupt Intervention. But Ruin is quite needed and Corrupt Intervention helps some Killers a lot (mainly Trapper and Hag).
Regarding Plague - yes, she can puke on the remaining 4 Gens, but I havent seen this happen yet. Most of the time the Killer goes to his Ruin anyway, same goes for Plague.
So for now I dont see any problem with that. I even find those to Perks contradict, because Survivors cannot spawn on Ruin and will move, when the Gen is blocked, which increases the chance of finding Ruin.
-
I need to see how DS works ingame to have a better opinion. What I know is that 3 seconds even without Enduring was too short to actually matter, when it was crucial. But I have not tested it for hundreds of games, because DS almost never came into work for me (I did not get caught after 60 seconds again).
Still, punishing for not using Enduring should not happen. While it is a decent Perks and works for many Killers, others are not built for Enduring and should not be forced to use it. Again, maybe the 5 seconds without Enduing are also fine, need to see it ingame. But for now I would preferred to not have it affected by Enduring instead of increasing the Stun.
(I mean, I also dislike that people say that Small Game should be equipped when dealing with NOED... So even if I would think otherwise, I could not justify that opinion when I think that Enduring should be equipped by Killers to deal with DS, lol)
But lets see how often it will be used now. I dont think that I will use it again, even when the 5 seconds seem decent, it rarely activated in my games.
-
Yep, Hitboxes are horrible. Billys Chainsaw is one of those. Leatherface is even worse for me, I get stuck on the smallest Pebble on the ground, while he ignores Walls, Trees and Tires next to him.
And dont let me start on Hatchets... :(
-
The 400% is not logic. 16 Perks vs 4 Perks is also not logic. 400% Movement Speed just grabs this "logic" and shows how abstruse it is.
-
Some Hillbilly let me live yesterday, because he thinks I am cute :3

Yes, my two second chances compared to the survivor's collective 14.
Rancor was tied to STBFL to try to deal with MoM since it kind of helped with the hit recovery.
NoED is for Adrenaline which the majority of survivors are currently using as evidenced by the image I provided.
Oh boy, please stop with that 16 vs 4 Perks stuff. It is annoying. LIke I said in another thread, with that logic, Survivors are faster than Killers, because they move at 400% Movement Speed.
If you use NOED, you dont have any problems with people using MoM and Adrenaline at this point, because MoM will not trigger. Besides that, it should not trigger by Phantasm Attacks (I did not play Hag yesterday or vs Hag, so I cannot confirm this yet based on my games). It does not trigger with Nurse Blinks, so it should be the same with Hag.
And then you have more than M1.
In the end, MoM will not be used that often. It is, right now, because it is new. But this will stop, because while it is a decent Perk, there are many Perks who are simply better than MoM.
-
@SpaceCoconut said:

-
MoM should not trigger with Phantasm Attacks. And also not wih Hatchets.
MoM is now used a lot. It is not that good. People will stop using it, since it is not as good as the Meta Perks. It is decent and tbh it is good that there are finally decent Perks with a Survivor. The last 4 Chapters at least brought nearly no good Survivor Perks.
-
Ciao :)
-
Survivors are also faster than Killers. Killer = usually 115% Movement Speed. Survivors = 400% Movement Speed.

Yeah, but punishing for not bringing Enduring is also not optimal. Before the Buff I also said that it should not be affected by Enduring, and I would stick with it. Rather that instead of increasing the Stun Time.

@Master The nurse will totally negate this because if you use your power to attack it doesn't count as a stack and unless you're at yellow ranks the nurse is more than likely not going to try and chase you without blinking , my only concern about MoM is that it's gonna alienate the high tier killers and that's all you will see at red ranks anymore are killers like nurse billy and spirit because it will make ranking up easier for those killers and harder for killers like Freddy or trapper, so my only beef with it is you've indirectly nerfed already weak killers and buffed already strong ones.
How dare you bring arguments? A Survivor Perk was buffed, no arguments allowed!!!11
But other than that, you are correct regarding the High Tier Killers, but in Red Rank you see a lot of Spirits and Nurses anyway, especially after the change of the Pipping System. It is hard to stay in Red Ranks, so the best Killers need to be played.

Did they test ashs perks in a ptb? No we just going to fire in a bunch of untested perks. Seems like double standards to me. And before you say perks is differwnt from adding objectives both have massive capabilities to change the game.
Also they have been testing other objectives. The hallowed blight flowers. The lanterns. All of those mechanics could easily be transfered to the game. Lanterns are fuses. Blight flowers are essential gen parts? The list goes on. I will say if were adding objectives it has to coincide with nerfs to billy and nurse. Specifically billys fast saw and nurses omega blink distance and multiple blinks.
Regarding the Halloween Event and others:
Yes, this is true. But those are just tests for the moment. Maybe it will be in the game in this form or another.
Regarding Ashs Perks:
This is correct, but none of his Perks is broken. MoM and Flip Flop sound good, but without any testing there cannot be a general opinion about them (which is backed up by observation). DS was broken, this is for sure. But other than that...Nah. And some new Perks that will find the way into the Meta on Survivor Side would be nice, even though MoM and Flip Flop need to be stronger or equally strong like the current Meta Perks, and I dont think that this is the case.
On Killer Side there were Perks for the Meta in the last Patches, even though Meta is different for Killers, since some Killers benefit more from Perks than others (e.g. that Genblocker Perk is more useful on Hag or Trapper, as it is on Spirit).
Regarding PTB:
I dont think that a PTB is good for testing. It is good for testing technical stuff, if things are working as they should be (and not some Perk is bugged), and to see major issues with something. But the finetuning should be done on the Live Server, because there we have actual gameplay. PTB is not enough for this kind of testing, so I would doubt that a PTB-test would have given valuable information on one of the new Ash-Perks.
-
Even IF it is an honest apology (I doubt it), it is not really worth anything.
I mean, this is the mentality of a little child - I can do as much ######### as I like, and when I apologize, everything is fine again.
