And allow survivors to harvest nector for bp after 60 vials.

Cause I been sitting in this killer lobby for 10min...

Please spare a thought for poor time deprived survivors like myself. I have not even 30 vials yet between killer and survivor combined.

I like the fact that survivors who have already completed the event can no longer harvest. It gives me more of a chance to complete the objective.

and the survivors who have completed the task don't bother to bring in the offering since they get no benefit from it.

They still get the +4000 BP if they burn the offering every time one of the other survivors completes a meatball milking.

  • It's an outdated component from the knee-jerk reaction to Freddy. They need to remove it and move it over to Wake Up.

Dedicated servers are coming soon and I'm not joking. It's gonna be around December for sure and I know this since the developers have been continuously saying that they are gonna add a optimization update for console but what does that mean for PC? They can't working on a optimization update for a single platform and not anything else for the PC people. That's because they are working on dedicated servers right now. I'm very very sure of it.

Dedicated servers will not affect framerates, just latency/lag. The only thing that's going to improve framerate will be rendering engine optimizations.

  • Console survivors versus PC Nurse mains would be hilarious to watch.

  • They're hook safety pegs. Gotta be careful, you could lose an eye to one of those things.

  • Visually, she would look very, very similar to Kate, which would also cause issues.

  • Holy ######### no. There's no faster way to make me uninstall than including that overrated #########.

  • Sounds like the solution is to remove SWF. Supported!

  • I haven't had too much trouble. I was fast vaulting through Lery's last night like a boss.

  • I don't like the Chaser emblem change either, but I plan to completely ignore it. If it's a situation where I should camp, I'm going to, emblem be damned.

  • In my experience, Adam, Kate, and Bill survivors tend to be the least toxic.

    Speaking as a gay guy...

You're being goddamn shallow. Quit begging for "representation" in the form of such a completely trivial character trait. Take pride in your personality, not your superfluous, immutable characteristics.

I'd much rather read about a character's chosen profession and last moments than who they prefer to bone. And most other people who have been raised to see themselves as a person rather than a checklist feel the same way.

I wish I could updoot this more than once.

  • I was really happy to hear that it was back. The Carnival and Rin pieces aren't bad, I just prefer the original by a significant margin.

Just had a game now. Ebony mori.

    Mori first guy.
Knock second one down after getting much teabagging - Disconnect
    Knock third down - disconnect
Find last one - teabagging all the way, gets knocked down, disconnect.

Great game we have. It's ok though because if I come across multiple insta heal med kits in a game or d-strikes I'll be sure to hard disconnect so they don't get any points.

Isn't that only the case on PS4? I thought they left with whatever points they'd earned so far on PC.

  • Anyone have a screenshot?

On the contrary, many window looping locations have been shut off in the game, taking away certain safe looping locations for survivors. This reduces the incentive for perks such as bamboozle, and while it is not necessarily a bad change, paired with the other nerfs to survivors, it is just one more issue that survivors must deal with.

There should be no such thing as a "safe looping location" to begin with. This is a 4v1 game. The individual interactions SHOULD favor the killer.

  • Leatherface would be fine if they simply increased the base speed by revving a tad and changed it so that the last downward swing of the chainsaw can actually connect.

  • Please no. There's way too much zombie ######### already.

  • This would just flip the abuse to the other side. I think it'd be more effective to grant a bloodpoint bonus (something like "Rescue Interrupt") to killers for hitting the unhooker immediately after an unhooking, in order to incentivize going after them rather than the freshly rescued survivor.

  • There is a Dead by Daylight movie. It's called Cabin in the Woods.

  • Judging by that video, I don't think it was a normal body block but rather the fact that there was a person being healed there that caused the abnormal collision?

  • Oh no, there's one very specific instance where Boil Over is actually useful. Better band-aid it while we figure out how to nerf it.

  • I'm currently in the 8-10 rank range as a survivor. I'm generally okay with camping, and consider it a valid strategy (I've defended it plenty of times here). However, for some reason since the DLC dropped the amount of camping I encounter seems to have exploded. It even occurs in situations where it makes no sense whatsoever - last night I actually played against a Hag running MYC who camped every single hook she got. I don't mind it occasionally, but running into it constantly is very, very tiring.

  • I was really, really annoyed they reverted the Huntress hatchet hitboxes. They were fine after the update, and then they reverted them back to the previous bullshit. Heaven forbid they require any actual aim.

@Justicar I believe they mean Spies from the shadows.

Yep, that's it. The perk list I was looking at only listed the unique to killer perks, so I didn't see that one anywhere.

I always say people should play as they want to play so I agree with this. There is no rule saying killers can't camp.

The devs even explicity explained that killers are allowed to camp, survivors just dont wanna believe the truth

They've said that multiple times, but they keep muddying the waters by adding stuff like BBQ, MYC, etc, and the upcoming Chaser emblem change.

Back in the days, before it got hit by the nerfhammer, it was SFTS for sure.

    ######### is SFTS?

  • Ultra rare addons should be terrifying. Iridescent Heads is just that.

  • STOMP STOMP STOMP

  • They just need to fix chases, specifically they need to make longer chases favor the killer, not the survivor. Return bloodlust to its original values, and make it so that bashing pallets doesn't drop bloodlust.

  • @projecteulogy said:
Survivors have two choices. "Immersed" Stealth or "Brain dead" looping. Currently, playing Stealth(how i like to) yields next to no BP/Pip. Looping grants survivors tons of Bloodpoints. There's no denying it. There's more than 1000 videos on Twitch and Youtube proving this.

They're removing even more pallets on the PTB and "balancing" it with making hooks spawn ONLY outside of 24m of each other unless Offerings are used. Point is, killers ######### about Genrushing and Looping.. the only 2 tools a survivor has to "win" the game. Meanwhile, killers resort to slugging to prevent any sort of hatch escape and/or tunnel and camp survivors they find a "threat".

What exactly do you want survivors to do? Just stand there and let you down them thus creating a killer's version of a M1 Simulator? lol Until the developer actually gives a ######### about Looping, you're stuck with it.

I personally prefer playing stealthy, partly because I'm bad at looping, but mostly because I prefer that form of gameplay. Unfortunately, this game greatly promotes looping over stealth, so it feels like self-gimping. I'd really like to see do a pure gameplay update that expands survivor objectives and gameplay options instead of just adding another killer/survivor combo.

  • It's in the name.

    Killers - Kill everyone
    Survivors - Survive everyone

  • There's no need to make this so complicated. For DS, only the Obsession gets the drop (like it is currently), everyone else gets a 1.0/1.5/2.0 second stun without a drop. Problem solved.

  • It's definitely a horror game. I'm always terrified whenever I'm playing Freddy.

  • TBH I'm probably going to start camping constantly just on the off chance the devs finally get the memo that this sort of nonsense is counterproductive.

  • This is obnoxious. Quit trying to fix something that isn't a problem.

  • I have a few things that are pretty much auto-dodge:

    • Twitch Name? Dodge. I'm not your entertainment source.
    • 3 or 4 player SWF? No thank you, not dealing with that game-breaking nonsense.
    • More than one red-ping? Dealing with that isn't fun for anyone involved.

Pretty much everything else is game on, though.

  • I'd much prefer the hatch just be removed entirely.

  • You stayed on the map after the hook, so obviously you were camping.

  • There are no Survivors, only Victims.

  • There is no need for a "Counter to Camping" because Camping Is Not a Problem. The devs have said as much, on multiple occassions. As multiple people have already said in this thread, the way to counter camping is doing gens. If more people would simply do this instead of throwing themselves at the hook for those tasty altruism points, you'd see far less camping.

what seems extremely obvious to me, a survivor main, is that survivors raged and review bombed after the last patch, and the devs solution was to cave to one of the items on the survivor main checklist on the road to starting the match with the gates open. press 3 to twerk at the exit gate.

Except they had talked about nerfing bloodlust several times before. This was just the first time they actually showed us what they plan to do. Before it was just "we are looking into ways to change bloodlust".

If you people really think review bombs did anything in just FEW WEEKS you have no clue how game dev works.

theyve “talked about nerfing” every ability in the game in the last couple years, so thats not really a valid argument here, and you are clearly very naive if you think the bloodlust change was just randomly added right after the review bomb.

And you are clearly naive if you think they managed to do all that design work (prototype, design, playtest, etc.) of the bloodlust nerf in just a 2 weeks after the review bomb. Newsflash, designs processes take a lot longer than that. Have you ever worked in game dev? I have, and if you did you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Really just think about how much time it took the devs to get out changes to anything. There is no such thing as a 2 week turnaround.

Somebody's never heard of Agile development. While the average Sprint cycle is 30 days, 2-week Sprints are also very common.

The problem with self-care has nothing to do with its speed, and everything to do with the fact that it's infinite. It's needs to allow you to heal yourself once per game (and resets fully if interrupted). With that in place, it's fine if it heals at normal healing speed.

    See option number 2

I'd prefer that option yes, but I don't think it's really plausible without also reworking (just buffing wouldn't really work in this case) Botany Knowledge due to the huge amount of overlap.

  • The problem with self-care has nothing to do with its speed, and everything to do with the fact that it's infinite. It's needs to allow you to heal yourself once per game (and resets fully if interrupted). With that in place, it's fine if it heals at normal healing speed.

Self-Care isn't even that much of a big deal, lol.

Self-Care is overpowered to the point that it's nearly mandatory as a solo survivor. Not only does it give you a large number of second chances, allow for hook diving against campers, and allow for more risky behavior, but it also directly counters one killer (Freddy), and directly counters a plethora of status effects.

It doesn't simply needs to be nerfed, it needs to be cratered and rebuilt.

  • I just want to have him changed so that hearing the lullaby is what puts survivors to sleep and his M2 changed to something that helps against looping.

  • You may get a 4k, but it'll also ensure you get a comparatively low amount of BP, since hooking/sacrifices grants so much.
