That would still be considered nudity, though, legal or not. If you filmed that and put it on TV, you'd need to put a nudity disclaimer in front of it.

Since this is an M-rated game, does that actually matter?

the teleport isnt even fully set in stone yet, so I doubt they could tell you that, and obviously there would be some kind of limitation or another on it.

If I was a betting person, I'd say the teleport probably has a cool down that's linked to the power gauge we saw in the anniversary trailer.

I feel bad for survivors. Always getting the short end of the stick.

At least with MoM, they get the stick one more time.

  • Why are people so butthurt about MoM? It's one extra hit. If that makes THAT much of a difference in your match, you've already lost.

  • I'm actually hoping they take a brief break from making new killers and survivors and spend one chapter simply fixing bugs and tightening gameplay.

  • I really wish they would simply put SWF in a different queue. As a killer I really don't enjoy playing against that nonsense.

Though I imagine if killers were to have the option to play against solos or SWF, the SWF queue would DIAF very, very quickly.

  • My favorite non-licensed killer is definitely the Trapper. It's a really fun mechanic, but is far weaker than it should be. I personally feel like his base kit should include 2 traps and all traps start set at the start of the match. Having to spend the first half of the match just setting up traps really hurts his effectiveness.

As for licensed, that goes to Nightmare. The Dreamworld has really great ambiance, and hearing the lullaby before you enter is a nice touch. I'm really looking forward to the rework, since even in his current state I enjoy playing him quite a bit.

  • I'd much rather they simply remove SWF from the game than try to balance the game around it. If you want to play with your friends, go KYF instead.

  • Nurse doesn't need a nerf, other killers simply need to be buffed. More importantly, we need more killers like Nurse that simply ignore looping and force survivors to use other play styles.

I really hope the Freddy rework results in him being a giant middle-finger to looping mechanics.

  • I think it's a non-issue, since you can just pop them open. I wouldn't say no to being able to kick to regress the way you can with gens, though.

  • If we're going to go the video game route, Slenderman is the obvious choice.

  • Removing the Leave button isn't going to prevent players from Shift+Tab force quitting or simply cutting the network connection.

    1. Survivors are pulled into the Dreamworld by the Lullaby itself. Survivors in the Dreamworld have their aura revealed to Freddy.
    2. The Lullaby has a 48m range. The closer you are to Freddy, the quieter it becomes and the faster you enter the Dreamworld. Freddy has no heartbeat at all in the real world only the Lullaby. In the Dreamworld, standard TR/heartbeat apply.
    3. Freddy's M2 now allows him to teleport to any totem or hook on the map. Any survivors within 10m of his target are instantly pulled into the Dreamworld as he arrives. However, this ability has a 30 second cool-down and suppresses his aura reading while the cool-down is active.
  • Are people really still complaining about BBQ? I've found it to be a non-issue since the locker change.

  • I'd love to see the multi-hit replaced with some sort of rampaging anti-loop mechanic.

  • I'd rather the fifth perk slot just be survivor restricted, so it has to be one of that survivor's base perks.

  • There are very, very few games that can be played indefinitely without becoming dull or repetitive. If the game has lost its luster, it just means it's time to move on to something else.

  • Nurse is balanced simply because she inverts the normal status quo. Pretty much all other killers are dependent on exploiting survivor mistakes. Nurse is the opposite; surviving against a Nurse is dependent on the Nurse making mistakes.

It's always been bad but I think the release of Legion really opened the flood gates for it.

This matches my experience. Not only did people start DCing just to avoid having to play against Legion (it was broken with little to no counterplay originally), but around the same time there seemed to be a sharp increase in DCs during match loads.

  • Sorry, I can't be in your gang since I'm already a card-carrying member of Freddy's Bitches.

@Justicar Your math doesn't make sense. If the killer can ban 4x the perks a survivor can and each survivor can ban 1 perk each, then the killer would be able to ban 16 perks in total ((1+1+1+1)x4).

That's not what I meant. You're looking at it as 4x4 per survivor, when what I and presumably the other poster meant was each survivor gets one ban, while the killer gets 1 per each survivor (1+1+1+1)=4, which is 4x what an individual survivor gets.

That is a fair point. I'd say it's people being more upset that they keep releasing killers in a gimped state to where they'll be needing reworks down the road. We'd like them to start releasing killers in a stronger state to begin with so we can be done having to continuously go back and fix them later.

I know having to keep going back with reworks is taxing on their available resources, but if they released killers in better states they wouldn't have to. They are so terrified of making another nurse that they swing really low just to be safe.

I'm likely in the minority, but I don't want to see any new killers or survivors at all until we've had some balance and bugfixing patches. The game is in a really rough state currently.

  • @starpilotsix said:

Also killers would have to be able to ban 4x the number of perks as survivors do, to be fair.

But no, I don't like this, and my reaction is the same as people who suggest 'cooldown' periods where you have to use different perks or only letting people use their teachables: Let people play the perks they want to play. Part of the fun of the game is coming up with interesting builds and trying them out. Imagine you've got one of these, get into a lobby, find the perks you want to use are banned. Imagine it keeps happening. Is your enthusiasm to play the game going to go up, or down?

That would be the idea, I imagine. Killers can ban 4 perks, while each survivor gets to ban 1. I'm actually on board with this idea, since it would go a long ways towards preventing any sort of perk meta emerging on either side, leading to more variety. I'm pretty sure most survivors at this point are pretty tired of running into BBQ/Ruin/NOED every match.

  • If they do, they'll likely just be reverted. It's what they did with Huntress after the Huntress mains screamed bloody murder when they fixed her hatchet hitboxes.

  • As far as I can tell, whoever gets to the hatch first wins, as it seems once one is there it prevents the other from getting their prompt (you can still be grabbed though, I think).

  • Sure, the Plague could use some work, but there are killers who need it far more and have been waiting for it for longer (IE Nightmare and Cannibal).

  • The other post wasn't attacking your character in any shape or fashion. They were simply lamenting the fact that this topic comes up incessantly. To summarize what's already been said, you're in a 1v1 situation as a survivor against a role that's designed as 4v1, it SHOULD be difficult.

  • I just want a cosmetic based on Robert Englund, preferably his look in New Nightmare.

He's trash compared to Spirit and Hag. He can't chase 2 survivors at once and down them quickly (assuming they're near a pallet) but Hag, Spirit and Nurse can. He's trash in comparison. Here's why I think Hag is better:

Hag can spread pain when the survivors are across the map quicker than any other killer in the game, not even Nurse can. She is way better than Billy in chase. She can dominate with Thanatophobia, she can control 1/2 of the map without addons 3/4 with her green range addon alone. She is ridiculously mobile with her traps, joint with Billy. Her map pressure is off the chart and she's everywhere. With STBFL, she's unstoppable. She can control 5 gens at once. That's massive considering Doctor is limited to 3 or maybe 4. She's unpredictable. If you're good enough with Hag, you can even take on SWF, as I do, and still win (Yes I'm that good with her). She's unloopable and amazing at mindgames. She can snowball WAYYY better than any other killer, even better than Billy. I don't need to expand on that, it's common knowledge how good she is at snowballing. She can injure 3 survivors and down 1 in the space of 20 seconds, and with STBFL, maybe even 14 seconds. She can pressure survivors into healing and gets a major advantage if they do. She can sometimes bring the game to a crawl, if they are pressured into healing

And for Spirit, it's blatantly obvious how she's better.

That being said though, he's still an amazing and strong killer. 4th best definitely. @Poweas

Hag's entire schtick is neutered by Urban Evasion.

  • I feel like NOED is one of the most balanced perks in the game currently. And I'd much rather have the Exposed status than the solution proposed here. There need to be moments like NOED where the survivors are genuinely worried about encountering the killer rather than "Yawn, killer's here, time to head to the nearest looping spot."

  • I think the only issue with Plague currently is that her infection doesn't last very long on interactables. If it was more feasible to infect survivors via proxies like windows, pallets, totems, etc by way of a longer duration of the infection on those items, it'd help tremendously.

  • I would be okay with this if they make it so that it's for Protection/Assist/Unhooks. Basically, if you're a bro three times, MoM activates.

  • BBQ&Chili: A deep bond with The Entity unlocks potential in one's Aura-reading ability.

After hooking a Survivor, all other Survivors' Auras are revealed to you for 4 seconds when they are farther than 40 metres from the Hook.

Each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time, gain a stackable bonus to all Bloodpoint gains up to a maximum of 100%. However, even killers must abide by the five second rule. Any time a survivor is not picked up within five seconds of being downed, a stack is lost.

The bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post-Trial.

  • @Alithra said:

I read that lowering your graphics helps. This is an issue with many clothes and characters, you can't just ask them to delete black people and dark clothes from the game. Well, you can, but it's not likely to happen, just like because you find it hard to track people on the corn fields they're not going to delete Coldwind farm.

It's not an issue with all the darker skinned characters, just Claudette. Tapp and Adam are both fine; they have enough contrast on their outfits that it's not an issue. P3 and brown clothes Claudette is nearly invisible on some maps, and it's a massive advantage that shouldn't be limited to a single survivor like that.

  • Cannibal could definitely use some love, but he definitely doesn't need one more than Freddy.

  • They could make Doctor Billy-tier pretty easily. Just remove the modes. M2 to static shock, static aura is always on but with a smaller radius (0.5*TR?). He wouldn't have Billy's mobility, but he would be almost as strong as Nurse in loops/chases.

Top Tiers: Nurse, Spirit, Hillbilly, Plague, Huntress, Michael.

Mid Tiers: Hag, Pig, Trapper, Doctor.

Low Tiers: Clown, Leatherface, Wraith, Freddy, Legion.

There is nothing else to say.

Plague is high mid-tier at absolute best. Her effectiveness is entirely dependent on whether the survivors cleanse or not. If survivors don't cleanse, she's basically like the Pig - can generally get one hit for free, but then gets to play the looping game for a bit while her power slows the match down a bit.

  • @se05239 said:

At least they cannot make the end-game worse, right?

They've removed the gates entirely, now there are simply two separate hatches for the survivors to find instead.

You have no idea how much Freddy mains such as myself are dreading this rework. He needs QoL stuff and that's it. The rest is purely about mastering his power, something none of the "Freddy's weak, hurrdurr" people have achieved. He's a more than decent Killer in skilled hands that invested a lot of time into learning him properly. By the sounds of it, severely altering his power, this rework will be a big middle finger to us -.-

I consider myself a Freddy main.

His power as-is is flawed on a fundamental level. He is like an inverse Nurse, but instead of breaking the game in his favor like the Nurse, he breaks it in the survivor's favor. There's a reason most killer tier lists give him his own tier.

Can he 4K even at the highest ranks? Certainly. But even the best Freddy mains can't match the quickness and brutality of their counterparts of any of the other killers.

I think something needs to be changed. Instead of forcing lobby dodging, I'd rather some means of simply opting out of SWF for the killer be provided, so killers who want to avoid that nonsense can do so easily.

If they implement something like that for Killers then the Survivors need to be given an option not to play against certain Killers.

I'd be perfectly fine with that, as long as it was restricted to one or two killers.

  • @tt_ivi_99 said:
Pallet looping takes skill, as killer you should try and improve your mindgames.

This is exactly the problem with so much of this game. A killer is supposed to be power role, and shouldn't be reliant on mindgames. They should be an extra tool, but not necessary.

  • I wouldn't dc against huntress, but I wouldn't blame people who do. Her hatchet hitboxes are utter bullshit.

  • TIL Toxic Killers hold the game hostage by camping gens.

No. The bell is his defining feature. There's no reason to ditch it just to try to make him more competitive. There are other ways to do it that don't involve butchering the character concept.

I think you are not understanding the op. He keeps the bell, his add on just gets a different effect.

I understood it just fine. A bell that makes no sound is not a bell.

  • No. The bell is his defining feature. There's no reason to ditch it just to try to make him more competitive. There are other ways to do it that don't involve butchering the character concept.

  • Gotta bring those Eboni Moris. You can't heal the dead.

  • I've been having a LOT of survivor matches drop me during load since the last patch. If I can get into a match I'm fine, but there have been times where I've been dropped during every match load, and even once or twice where I would auto-dc immediately upon joining a lobby until I restarted the game.

I've lost a bunch of offerings due to the above, it's pretty annoying.

  • There have been tons ideas about how to improve Sweater Boi. At this point I'd rather just wait and see what they come with.
