  • I wanted to use that perk on her too. Reloading so fast will save so much time in the long run.

  • Usually those are the survivors that get downed in 5 seconds if you catch them off guard in another part of the map.

  • Height has no correlation to speed. The Hag also has 110% ms and has the same "problem" which comes from the FOV closer to the ground. If you use Shadowborn you'll feel a lot faster, but only because you see more stuff moving relatively faster at the edges.

  • Some maps do look a bit too bright, but the lightning is very nice. Autohaven is amazingly spooky now.

    Everyone playing killer obviously.

People want bp, killer earns way more bp

The only thing that changed is the new killer, and as I said I'm barely encountering them.

    When did they say that?!?!
That's one of the worst things in the game.

Some stream ago, I don't remember exactly when. Someone asked about gen tapping and that was their answer.

If they are able to "tweak" the licensed killer's abilities then why haven't they fixed Freddy?

They are working on it. He will be the next killer to receive a rework.

  • I know I will. But not because of the buff, because the game will be flooded with Legions thinking that camping is the best way to learn a killer's power.

  • I tested it in the PTB, it does work. But honestly it's more effective hiding behind a gen (which was already possible before), at least you can do something instead of wasting everyone's time

MCote said that himself at the game awards.

  • What a splendid idea, I'm looking forward to playing the killers I have fun with in a month, but only for a couple of matches before I rank up again.

MYC's cooldown is always 60 seconds btw.
    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Make_Your_Choice

Then in game info is wrong

    Hmm, interesting.
I wonder who is wrong, the game or the wiki.
I mean yeah, normally the game is the one that's right, but it could be a visual bug.
    I just don't know.

Consider that MYC was changed a couple patches ago. Maybe the wiki hasn't been updated accordingly.

To OP if the cooldown is shorter I think it might be worth to keep the tier 1 version. With the Hag usually you get them quickly after the unhook, so the reduced cooldown can actually help in chaining insta-downs.

  • The Pig can easily get the first hit, meaning she cuts the chase in half. The ambush, although not easily, can be used for mindgames.
The Doctor can mess with survivors with madness, and his shocks can deny loops or at least lead to early pallet drops (but it needs a lot of skill to do it reliably).
Leatherface can destroy pallets faster. Sure, but only after revving the chainsaw... So in the end it doesn't change much. His chainsaw is even quite bad, it makes him a slug and survivors need just a window to force you to use the mallet, making your power irrelevant. He still gets looped because his power doesn't actually do anything about loops.

  • Since SWF exists, going the "blindness" route would screw solo survivors, while leaving SWF unaffected. As much as I like the horror aspect of the game, SWF breaks it, and since SWF can't be removed for marketing reasons the game must be balanced around it.

  • Like the Bloody Coil but for totems? I like it.

  • I feel it is overshadowed by Deliverance. Sure there is not the safe unhook condition, but the effect is way less reliable and usually requires you to use luck offerings and perks.
It still has its niche, and can still be used by people who can't have Deliverance.

@White_Owl that's fine and I agree Doctor is shown improperly as well as I posted in my description of every killer trailer to date, however he's basically the only one before Legion to have done so. All the other killers, save Hag and Freddy, openly displayed at least one part of their kit, while the two aforementioned merely attack the camera.

As I already said, the Legion is showed fast vaulting, which is their main thing.

    @Delfador said:
Actually, doctor has the ability to reduce his Terror radius to 0 with proper addons and perks. The perk he uses is also his own perk.

12 meters actually. If we talk about perks, Legion in the trailer could have been using Tinkerer for what we know.

    @Delfador said:
All of the killers you mentioned has other abilities. Myers can one shot down people, wraith has ms increase as well as 150% sprint burst, pig has ambush and her RBTs. You might argue that this killer would be superior to them but this is no surprise. After all, nurse is superior to all of the killers. Even if you compare killers in their own categories, we have billy and leatherface. Also Myers is much stronger than the Pig anyway.

I was talking only about the stealth aspect. Myers is slow in tier 1, the Wraith has only a slight increased speed at base and the sprint is barely a compensation for the fact he has to slowly uncloak, the Pig is slow while crouched and has a reduced fov, and the dash is telegraphed. Legion would basically be a Pig on steroids, with a much faster stealth and an ability to slow down survivors, not counting the ability to deny pallets and loops in general.
Don't forget that with M&A Legion can have a tr of 16 meters. For a small and fast killer that's more than enough to catch survivors off guard without some disguise ability.

  • @HatCreature said:
Does anyone even find the new Tinkerer even useful? I mean I've seen a few instances where it was good against me but when I use it I can never find it helpful. Yeah that Gen is going off but I can't make it there in time to stop it or get a sneak attack, Oh my terror radius is gone for ten seconds hopefully I can find someone before it's up.

It's very fun on the Doctor, especially with the Calm addons. It basically confuses survivors about your position because they hear the heartbeat when you're not there and don't hear it when you are.

  • @Attackfrog said:
    Is awesome the new lol?

I hope so. This thread is "awesome".

I predicted it. Soon people will start to abuse it and they will remove it XD

  • My only problem with the Hillbilly is that his chainsaw has an attack cone that is quite huge, comparable to Leatherface's, to the point that lading chainsaws is easier on Billy considered also the higher speed both while revving and sprinting. Easy chainsaw hits at close quarters should be Bubba's thing, since it's the only thing he has.
Personally I would make Billy's attack cone narrower, so that it would allow more counterplay.

  • It's a cinematic trailer, it doesn't have be faithful to the gameplay. If you look at the Doctor's trailer he arrives out of nowhere with no TR.

    @Khroalthemadbomber said:
Legion DLC: Legion, posing as a survivor, flees alongside David. As they both hide, David looks to see of the coast is clear, and when he turns back, Legion displays their true colors and kills David. Potentially showing that Legion can pretend to be a survivor and hide amongst their ranks.

Legion is shown having the ability to move as survivors, running and vaulting. That's what they do.

I assume the trailer shows the first time they are seen in the Fog or just ties in with their lore.

I don't understand why anyone would want such an absurdly weak power such as a disguise.

You think having no TR, no red stain, and still being able to attack is a weak power?

It's the opposite, it would make Myers, the Wraith and the Pig's stealth outdated.

    My idea about Monstrous Shrine:
Add the effect that ALL survivor perks are disabled as long as they are in the basement.

That would do nothing and be completely useless unless there in the basement which is the problem adding an affect when you're near the basement like mine would be much more useful.

Ask some survivor. They already called my suggestions totally OP.
    No Plunderer.
    No Adrenaline.
    No Deliverance.
    No Well make it.
    No DH.
    No BT.
Some people actually use the basement to hide while using SC.

    I love this idea

Also, I do not understand why so many survivors go in the basement to heal. I have caught numerous survivors doing that and it just seems crazy to me.

Because most killer don't check the basement. Why should they? If no scratchmarks or bloodtrails leading there it is wasted time.
When I play survivor I hide down there pretty often. :p

Really? Wow. This makes me want to try out Territorial Imperative just to see what happens.

Territorial is a niche perk but it managed to make me paranoid since I was found by a killer running out. Being found when you think you're perfectly safe is traumatic D:

Kinda off topic: was i the only doctor not running NC?

Personally it's not a must have for me, I mostly use it when doing a sneaky Doc build so I can jump scare survivors while they try to snap out of it. I will miss that a lot :(

  • I actually was pretty sure they were gonna announce dedicated servers because of a series of hints they gave in the last months.

  • Pretty sure I will. The killer might have flaws but is really fun to play (and judging by how they managed the last killers will probably get better). Also: Jeff. I love that guy.

It's not a nerf. It's a bug fix. Read Nurses Calling description.

Nope. It was intentional, it was specifically introduced in the Doctor Cube as a way to buff him.

  • @DocOctober said:
Didn't know there are so many noob Doctors out there that rely on Nurse's Calling.

Actually, I do, 90% of the Doctors I verse suck. No good Doctor player gives two [BAD WORD] about that nerf.

It's not about relying on it, it's the fact that the perk was good on some fun builds like sniper Doc or sneaky Doc that won't be as effective without it. Besides, bad Doctors very rarely use NC from my experience, because they tend to tunnel, and without leaving survivors you don't get much use of the perk.

Besides, with the logic they used to remove the interaction between NC and snap out of it, they could make that the Nurse can't insta-down survivors with a blink attack since the Legion can't during a frenzy. Do we really want to extend killers weaknesses to others just for consistency?

  • @alivebydeadight said:
can this community for once just learn to, oh I dont know, accept the nerfs/buffs that occur, they try there bests, and all you guys do is just attack them with hatred or hate how the buffed or nerfed somebody, they did it to balance the game out or they listened to the community

People feel bad for the announced changes because that's not what's been asked. They basically listened the community backwards: people noted that Snap Out Of It works with Nurse's Calling so Mending should too, and they did exactly the opposite. If that's not infuriating (even for someone supportive to the devs as me) I don't know what it is.

  • Honestly I'm disappointed. People tried to help giving feedback by comparing mending to snap out of it in the hope of buffing the former, and in response they nerfed the latter (probably for "consistency")... I mean, #########? I usually support the devs but this was a ######### move.

  • It's an interesting idea

    Hello

We think that Perks should mostly affect your M1 mode as a killer and not buff your power (to a certain extend at least)

Question: the Legion can't benefit from the exposed status effect on survivors while using their power, but the Nurse can. The Nurse is well known for being in absolute the strongest killer, and if there is one whose power is a "free hit" it's her. What's the logic behind this?
I can understand the potential to hit 4 survivors in one frenzy would make NOED and Devour Hope OP, but wouldn't be enought to add the condition that downing a survivor ends the frenzy?

    Hello

Our reasoning is because it's very much too easy to get a hit with the Legion power, compare to the Nurse. NOED with his power is simply the end of the game and felt very unfair.

I can undersrand if you don't want a killer on a similar level with the Nurse when using NOED or DH. Still, I find it strange that one of Legion perks gives the exposed status if he can't fully utilize it since they should not use their power and would just get looped until the effect expires thanks to the "lower" speed. I think the exposed effect should still do something.

I think Legion can't search lockers while in frenzy. So quick jumping into a locker to avoid a frenzy hit, might be a way to avoid DW, because you can safely jump out while Legion is stunned by their ability and will most likely only get a one time hit.
I guess for such situations, iron maiden is a counter. Even though it doesn't make that much sens. Otherwise frenzy gives Legion a decent mobility. When they see iron maiden to be triggered, they might be able to sprint with frenzy close to the survivors and get the hit. Maybe...

Actually during the Frenzy you can do everything except breaking pallets, even pick up downed survivors and opening lockers.

No, you weren't benevolent if you didn't unhook/heal. You all got iridescent Unbroken if no one got downed and you should have gotten at least silver if not gold in Lightbringer and Evader, so I don't get what you want, an easy double pip against a bad killer?

  • To me it happens every single time I search a lobby as survivor for the first time that day.

  • They made something similar with the obsession icon, allowing all survivors to see it and being able to see when they are chased.
I support your suggest because, as you said, it would be just a buff to solo survivors (who need it), while leaving swf untouched, reducing the gap.

  • If you're worried about lockers use Iron Maiden.

  • I think just the point 2 would make him stronger and more menacing (when No Mither doesn't really have have a downside, that's a problem). My main problem is that currently the Deep Wound doesn't put enough pressure, especially since it's silent and not affected by aura reading, so survivors can do it in safety even near the the killer. I'm not sure if it should be affected by Mangled and Coulrophobia, though.

  • @akbays35 said:

Where would you rank The Legion among the other killers? I'm seeing so many varied opinions on here and on streams.

Don't ask it. All you'll receive is complaints about how they are bad because people still think that to properly get a killer they can play it for a couple matches.

I bet if the Nurse was released nowadays they would all say she is bad because she is slow and has the fatigue.

Actually when the nurse came out, it was obvious how she was gonna be good... teleporting through debris and avoiding pallets? God like

When she came out she had default speed and 3 blinks . I'm talking about current Nurse, which everybody knows takes many many hours to get good with her.

  • Honestly BT was pathetic, you just needed to follow the survivor, let him waste a couple pallets and he was ready to be hooked again without any effort. With that change BT does exactly what it was supposed to do.
