Mate, listen carefully. You only nerf something that is unfair or overpowered(or even both).With that said, madness is the only way the Doctor has to build pressure which has counterplay. So there's no need to nerf a mid tier killer.
It seems you guys are not listening, all I get in response is "the doctor is bad so no", but as I explained in the op, I do think that mechanic is unfair and has very little counter, especially for solo survivors, which as usual get the short end of the stick but nobody cares appearently. And as I already explained, you can do very good without relying on this mechanic because Doc has much more to offer than a mechanic to tunnel more easily: his power is the more complex and with many facets but everyone just reduces him to one. Last but not least, I do think this doesn't help killers too, since it's easy to think that's the Doc's "thing" so people don't really get good with him and play him "just a M1 killer with a ginormus terror radius" good for tunneling, and then cry because the Doctor is bad and they get gen rushed.

This sounds like an excuse to not want to use Snap Out of It. Doctor’s speciality is finding Survivors. If you don’t want to be tunneled because of the screams in tier 3, then just have another Survivor block him from getting to you while you remove tier 3 or have the other Survivor heal you before you break out of tier 3 so you can loop him for longer and get him to leave you alone because you're making him waste time chasing you. It also makes the game a little bit scarier because you're never truly safe from Madness 3 even when you're trying to remove it.Sure because everyone is playing swf and can count on someone to take the aggro, right? There's also always the time to snap out of it in safety. It's also so scary and fun being chased by a bad Doctor only because RNG decided to screw you up...
And ffs, stop with this idea that the Doctor's power is for finding survivors. His ability is to mess with them, making them think they are in danger when they're not and vicersa making them go where they think they are safe, and denying loops (if you know what the hell you're doing). The tracking is only the cherry on top of this.
Yes I get triggered about the Doctor because I spent a lot of time getting good with him, reading such things for me is like reading that the Nurse is bad becuase you don't know you can attack after a blink. -

The Doctor is among my top 3 killers and I find very annoying the propentity to tunnel of most Doctor players. The reason they can keep up despite playing horribly is just one: survivors who just got unhooked are still in Madness 3 and are very easy to find.
I think if unhooked survivors had their Madness regressed to tier 2 good Doctors wouldn't be affected at all. I know I wouldn't. Also, it would maybe induce people to learn a bit more of the Doctor, who is not only the one "that makes people scream and easy to find".Should freddy be nerfed too?

Nice try. Is there someone that came here not to troll?

The real question is: do we really need it?

Sounds like an excuse not to snap out of it by skill alone. If you were just impaled by a hook, why should you refresh in a better state of health? It takes almost no time to snap out, do we really need all sense of effort removed?How about the sense of effort for the killer? Is it so hard to shock a couple times a survivor to bring him back to tier 3? If you want to tunnel them at least work for it.
@FoggyDownpour said:
I'm honestly a bit torn on this. I agree that is easy to tunnel those survivors in T3 madness, but it's ultimately up to the player. It's at least a bit similar to saying 'LF's power encourages camping'. It's not necessarily a problem with the power, but more of an issue with how someone chooses to use it.That being said, I do agree in general that there could be better ways to deal with it, but I also can't deny that Doc would be much weaker than he is now without it. It would need some readjusting and balancing as opposed to a flat out removal. I personally use T3 unhooks as a way to keep an eye on them and watch where they go on the map while I chase others. I hate tunneling when is done to me and I won't do it to others.
The Doctor would not be much weaker just because of this. I never relied on this mechanic and still do good with him at red ranks, it's just a matter of using all the tools at Doc's disposal (which are a lot) instead of just one. Damn, I still have to see someone else besides me using the shock attacks to deny loops or using anything that is not the Distressing+Unnerving Presence combo (which is just a noob trap), and then I have to read Acromio's bs about Doc being a m1 killer.

Not a X main, but currently can't host matches so I'm forced to stick to survivors... does it count?

@Vietfox said:
Imo HL should never give notifications to survivors. Any decent survivor can tell if killer is running HL after the first hook.Some time ago it was bugged and didn't give any notification. It didn't last long, but it made the perk very fun to use.
Honestly I think the only hexes to give the notification should be NOED and Devour Hope because their effects are potentially very strong. -
@PigNRun said:
The thing is, whether you are in Madness 2 or 3, if you are getting tunnelled, it doesnt matter. You cant heal yourself or repair generators at tier 3, and you scream every few moments, but the tunneling killer will already know where you are anyway.It actually matters, because in madness 2 you don't scream randomly so you can juke and hide, while in madness 3 you just hope to have time to snap out of it before he comes back. That unless you scream revealing your position.

If I may offer an alternative idea while still keeping the hatch. Hatch doesn’t spawn AT ALL unless ALL generators are complete. This will keep the killer and fellow survivors engaged all the way until endgame.How many times you manage to power the gates when in a 2v1 or 1v1? I bet not so many. Well in all the other cases the match would only be dragged for an unnecessarily long time unless the survivors just give up out of boredom and let the killer hook them.

Knowing the perk has many counters if you don't see people you shouldn't assume they are all near.
In any case I think it's ok that it has so many counters. Too many used it to camp more efficiently since they knew for certain that not seeing someone meant they were near, and that goes against the point of the aura reading. -
Seems kinda abusable and would make last second escapes impossible (and as a killer it would feel cheesy to a kill that way)

Night Out Nea has always been beautiful, it's just a matter of makeup and haircut. Basic Nea is like most girls appear in the morning after waking up

I'll add to Unnerving Presence that it should affect great skillchecks zones too. Currently it somehow helps hitting the great skillchecks.

-
They should really reduce the grind. With the amount of perks and characters we have now it's becoming a problem imo.
-
It's a standoff only because you refused to eat the DS. I can understand the motivation, but imo you can't complain about this situation if it's on you.
As a killer you should always try to get rid of DS in the early game, since it becomes stronger toward the end of the match. It's not always possible, but ending in such situations is most of the time a killer's misplay.
Also the survivor was smart and positioned himself so the killer couldn't avoid DS, can't say he "doesn't deserve it" because he clearly had a precise strategy in mind.
In any case you get 2500 by not doing anything for a couple minutes. At that point you just go eat a sandwich, win-win for you. -

Side question: Does anyone know what happens if I drop a survivor that has Adrenaline? Does it put them into the injured state from the dying state so I can smack them?If I'm not wrong Adrenaline becomes wasted if it activates while being carried by a killer.
nope, it activates as soon as they regain control. So if they get free from a killer stun, or if they get hooked and unhooked. I've seen it used with breakdown and deliverance to some pretty silly results.
Really? I remember seeing people complain about that occurrence with Adrenaline... maybe it was just a random bug.

I saw someone do the math and 115% is technically 33% faster in game terms vs 110 killers. Playing Spririt then hopping back to Myers is jarringI don't mean to sound rude but that math seems off.
It's not, you don't MOVE 33% faster, you CATCH UP 33% faster. A chase that would take 60 seconds with a 110 killer takes 115 killers only 40 seconds.
This is why 110 killers are dependent on their powers to shorten that gap.If you take it relative to 110ms then you catch up 50% faster than the 110 ms killer, not 33%.
How do you possibly get 33%? (taking 15 as 100% and saying going from +10 to +15 is a 33% increase? What would this number even indicate?)
Sorry for poking at you though. Your point still stands; it's significant.
115 to 110 is 33% slower, 110 to 115 is 50% faster (considering only the killer-survivor speed difference, obviously). He probably got confused because math...
-
There are too possibilities here: it becomes meta in no time considering the amount of hate DS gets, or people would forget about it after survivors learned to stunlock the killer to slowly and painfully make him drop the survivor.
-
I got a rainbow map from a chest with no Plunderer's Instinct the other day. It felt awesome! I also see way more people going for chests nowadays while usually they are mostly ignored since they are most of the time underwhelming. It might be a little thing but this is the kind of secondary objectives people want.

This is one of the core problems of this forum. People love creating theories upon theories and when you take a look at them, you see how absurd they are. Both sides do this btw.Breakdown OP perk. Yeah, wasting a perk slot that could take 8 seconds with a toolbox to be only used for 2 times in a match is OP and unbalanced.
Everybody was gonna use borrowed time as if survivors give a damn about each other. Why run borrowed time instead of adrenaline or self care or balanced landing or DS?
Survivors do the same thing. Everybody started to talk about how OP aura perks were after a certain perk got buffed (Bitter murmur I believe). Somebody called me an idiot for saying that the buff bitter murmur got was very useless since it allows you to see the survivor around a finished gen as if you don't know there is somebody out there. Also it draws killers to a dead area where there is no generators to eat the pallets, instead of eating pallets near unfinished generators. Great aura reading perk, I am sure every single killer is using it right now.
Practice is different than theories. This is why the game is not as unbalanced as forum members claim it to be. True, in theory as a killer you can get obliterated 100 times in a row but when you go and play the actual game, you see that you get more 4 or 3ks than 2-1-0ks.
Yeah. I remember someone complained about the removal of pallet vacuum because more survivors would get downed under unused pallets and other survivors would easily get a pallet save.
Problem is in theory everything can happen, but in practice... -

I've seen it a lot of times (and it happened to me a couple times) since the introduction of this feature, and most of the times it happens when the survivor is basically on the other side of the pallet.
Personaly I dislike this mechanic, which looks bad (the survivor just drops down like a bag of potatoes) and as I said leads to hits that shouldn't have been. Even as killer it feels bs honestly, because if the survivor managed to get to a dropped pallet in time he shouldn't get downed without any counterplay. Instantly destroying a pallet with the survivor right in range for another chainsaw hit already seems good to me.
TL;DR Cutting both a pallet and the survivor is a bad mechanic and should be removedHelp! I poorly timed a pallet drop or vault and got hit or downed, Pls nerf instead of me getting better at the game!
Help! I poorly timed my chainsaw but luckily a bad mechanic compensates for me and allowed me to get a hit I would have never got a couple months ago!
If the chainsaw was gonna hit you or destory the pallet, either one going was not a poorly timed hit...facepalms Loses more faith in survivor mains ability to even think before negating ther own silly posts everyday.
As I said in the op, most of the times you get hit when you're already on the other side, that's not good timing from the killer.
And btw I play both roles favouring killer. And I hate when such mechanics dumb down playing killer. -
Personally I think that to make the game last that long they should slow down with the new content (since it seems it takes a lot of their resources) and work a lot on increasing the quality of what is already there: optimization, grind, balance and so on.

Oh I know but that's not my playstyle anyways. I'm only saying logically a Killer's arms plus their weapon equals about the width of a pallet. Just seems weird that anyone using a pallet would consider themselves safe at any point other than fully across.Logically killers could just kick the pallet onto the survivor's back. But in the game pallets are the main mean of defense, especially since windows are very dangerous against chainsaws. Actually my main problem is that this feature looks very bad (no animation and no sound) and they added it to the Hillbilly, a killer that has already everything a killer could wish minus the ability to teleport. If it had proper animations and was a LF feature (who really need it, and has a "stronger" chainsaw that can cut multiple people in one sweep so it makes sense) I wouldn't even complain.
-
I hear "calcar" which could make sense

@DemonDaddy said:
The only safe moment of pallet interaction should be when we are on the opposite side of a dropped one. Pallets really aren't wide enough to warrant a safe slide if they are that close.You know you can get downed just by standing still close the pallet while the killer cuts it from the other side?

I think people get confused when someone says that the devs should play their own game.
Of course devs don't need to play their own game just like race car constructors don't do races. However, car constructors do have to make their product perfect or else their consumers will choose somebody else that does better job.
The problem is that there are not enough slasher type video games. This is almost the only game we have so they can say go and play civ 5 but after a couple of years later, there will be other games that the dbd players drawn to.
Before it is too late, they should get rid of their arrogant attitude and accept their mistakes. We were right when the spirit was released, I believe we are still right.
That is true, but it's a different matter. The point is that devs don't need to play at high ranks to do their work, since they have other means other than anectodal experience to evaluate the state of the game.

I thought Iron Will was being picked more, but actually the injured sounds are very low compared to the rest..., also, the Nurse's "whoosh" volume is very high and not directional even when near, it's very confusing. I hope they fix the audio soon.

And that is funny, since his power is awesome to spread the damage, but then he can't capitalize on that.
-
Personally I don't dislike Legion, but they have a flaw big as a house: if a survivor is injured or healthy it doesn't matter at all, the effect of the frenzy will be always the same. I had matches where I kept injuring all the survivors, but then I was forced to either not use my power and being looped or using the frenzy 3 or 4 other times. In both the cases I felt I was handicapping myself.
