    Mr. Ratburn from Arthur!

I believe this add-on should be in her base kit and that Jigsaw boxes shouldn't have their aura revealed until the trap is triggered.

Ah, yep. I misunderstood initially. Thanks for clarifying. I think this one may need playtesting to see if it's good and fair, or a step too far.

However, if you apply a few very small changes (like your third suggestion about the dead box) to traps and also this one, it may have the desired effect of forcing more panic from survivors. If they can't plan a route around the boxes, they're going to be more inclined to start hunting for them immediately (or waiting until the timer starts, of course).

    Gives them an interesting choice.

It could be cool too if you had the potential to find the key to your teammates RBT and had to save each-other. This would of course be 100% troll bait and break the Pig beyond belief but in theory is a fun idea.

I can only see positive things with a 2 killer mode. Know its speculation cause sometimes people read way to much into hints on the streams. But if we happen to get one i look forward to the combos you create. I just want huntress and clown to play the zelda bloody rupee game xD
    1. Killer streamers can also give away or offer to play with subscribers.
    2. Can talk with fellow killers and get to know our own community in fun game moments.
    3. Can probally bring back maps that were too big to have use again when in a 2vs8 scenario.
    4. When get more licensed killers in game can enjoy those crossovers never thought see.
    5. If everyone is invisible survivors can have a buddy come to look at it from another angle.

    Freddy and Doctor.

Can you imagine trying to "Snap out of it" while in the Dream world with that horrible interaction speed debuff....my God it would take ages and loads of skill checks!

    My guesses are:
1.) It's the hooded figure who we see in the Halloween cinematics after they lose all hope.
2.) It's Vigo, after having lost all hope. After all, if Vigo's Journal was found in the lab where all of the serum work is being done that says to me that it's Vigo's lab. So why would Vigo abandon his lab willingly?

I'm curious what work Vigo was doing in this lab but I don't believe he abandoned it willingly, I mean there are monsters hunting that other nameless survivor around who found his lab so why not Vigo too?

I think it would be cool if the killer ends up being something Vigo accidentally created by messing around with this formula and what a great way to introduce either the poor assistant or Vigo themselves as the next survivor!

    My quick buff idea.

1: 6 traps by default so you don't feel obligated to save for endgame
2: Boxes are not revealed until trap triggers
3: Add an additional box by default that yields no key for any trap as a way to lower the instant RNG removal (if you make the first box a guaranteed fail then survivors who know they have no time won't care to try)
4: Anyone with a trap on their head suffers from a 10% action speed decrease to healing (maybe not healing now that we have the healing nerf) generator repair and hook saves.
5: IF the above still yields poor results then have the RBT active the moment the survivor is saved from the down state/saved from the hook and not require a gen to be completed.

    Interesting.

    1. Yes, 4 is definitely too few. Shouldn't need an add-on to increase this number when they're so easy to remove.

    2. Yeah, that'd be nice. But I'm not too bothered by them finding out I'm a Pig. They're going to know soon enough anyway.

    3. Reasonable option.

    4. Or make Slow-Release Toxin and Rusty Attachment common add-ons instead of rare.

I also don't see why survivors are able to get through the hatch with the trap on, but not an open exit gate. I guess it's difficult to find the fair balance on this.

I think you misunderstood #2 so allow me to correct my wording.

When a survivor has a trap on their head they see the white aura's of all the Jigsaw boxes. There is an add-on that removes this ability from survivors unless the trap has been triggered. I believe this add-on should be in her base kit and that Jigsaw boxes shouldn't have their aura revealed until the trap is triggered.

As an aspiring killer, I have only made it to rank 7 but of course am interested in changing that. There's one particular situation that I find difficulty in deciding what course of action is the wisest to prioritize. There are a lot of games, especially on the larger maps, where the survivors all spawn next to one generator. Unlucky for me, I've check every other generator before I find the one they are working on and it's nearly complete.

My instinct is to stick around for awhile after I've scared everyone off, or fake going after someone else and come right back, because there is almost always one or two people hanging around to pop that generator as soon as you take off. While this seems like the proper course of action, I find it only pays off with about a 50/50 chance. Sometimes, I can down someone by faking the chase and returning to defend the nearly completer generator. Other times, two other generators become complete by the time I've chased people swarming off the one that was nearly complete. What do you do? Is there anything you can do, really, save for leave it up to chance?

If this is at the start of the match then continue with your tactic to quickly find a survivor but then focus on them. The only real "pressure" a killer gets is by getting a hook and doing your best to snowball from it. If you manage to hook someone and start a chase on another survivor possibly getting them downed around the same time that other person is saved then you are keeping pressure on survivors and pulling attention away from generators. The only time you should really stick to a gen that close to being done is if its endgame and you truly feel the survivor is hiding nearby (even then don't spend too long) or you have a specific gen build.

  • @Eight said:
Some good ideas in this thread. I'm assuming those suggestions aren't implemented when I type this.

The RBT timer's should be shorter. I'm not looking for kills, still keeping them as an alternative objective to slow the game down, but only inexperienced survivors panic when they get trapped. Most others know they have ample time - I even find trapped survivors on gens and making hook saves.

As much as I love the idea of the timer decreasing a chunk when another gen goes, I don't think your average survivor gives enough of a ######### about his teammates for this to stop them working the gens.

5: IF the above still yields poor results then have the RBT active the moment the survivor is saved from the down state/saved from the hook and not require a gen to be completed.

SERIOUSLY... #########??? Survivors are just skins anyway. Why the hell would it matter who i rescue 3 ppl off a hook with??? My Dwight has tier 3 Borrowed Time. Just make a survivor daily a survivor daily... Its ******* stupid. Why put points on more than one survivor when they all do the same goddamn thing? Smarten up...

So I can have a game where everyone plays Claudette because she has Self-care by default...or I can play a game where people are incentivised to level up other survivors and I get to see a slightly different variety of characters...hmm seems pretty simple to me.

  • @The_Crusader said:
Mine would have to be The Pig. I really hate playing against her the most.

    Every game is either...

    1) They crouch and camp the hook

    2) They throw the game just to tunnel the hell out of whoever they've put the RBT on.

Man, I find Pig players more toxic than even the t-bagging P3 claudettes with Decisive and purple flashlight.

I'd remove SWF. Seems most high rank games they kill any fun.

  • @HellDescent said:
@MegaWaffle It's weak on clown or similar killers, but really good on killers with good mobility like nurse, billy, spirit. I find that in this game most of killers should never use their own teachables lol

I agree teachable's seem to benefit killers they are not originally from and that Pig may actually get some use out of Pop Goes the Weasel should that change come about, however it would still fall victim to the current problems that plague it. You still have to get that hook for a single use of the perk and you still have to charge forth to a gen within that tight 30s period potentially ignoring that rushed hook save or that survivor t-bagging in the distance. I just don't think even with a "99% gen meta" again that the perk would be strong enough to justify taking a spot.

This is all just speculation and personal opinion but its what I believe.

  • I'm pretty sure they are just a fun Easter egg hunt for players since Vigo mentions that the Entity created replicas of his original work insinuating his were stolen. If the Entity stole his toolboxes I'd also assume he would destroy them not hide them under a picnic table...

  • @xcottonx said:
No the perk is already fine enough.

I don't think a DC should negatively affect survivors or killer in terms of points. If you DC it takes points away from the killer including stacks. If the killer DCs then survivors literally lose the entire match progress. I know this is because the game doesn't have dedicated servers and thus information is on a "host" system but it sucks for both sides. I'm eagerly awaiting console bans because its so damn rampant over here.

  • @ConsoleNurse said:
Why devs don't listen us? We always share console problems on every forum but devs don't answer our question. They will fix frame rate on december at least but we have a few major problems too.
1 - killer sensivity : It is too low we need very high sensitivity, thats why huntress and nurse are worst killers on console(unplayable killers on rank 1)
2 - Pig's grab problem : Right now pig can not hatch grab or pallet grab. She is doing animation but it is bugging her and survivor still escape.
3 - Input delay - Dedicated servers please
4 - Auto aim for nurse - we really need that

I disagree with 4 because we use to have auto-aim and I hated it. So many times as a survivor rounded a corner auto-aim would wrestle control from me and I'd hit the wall. Since it was taken away I can now move and aim correctly...assuming fps is being kind...

Or the timer could decrease by 30 seconds with each completed gen after it's been activated. This way survivors would wait for their temmates to remove the trap before popping a second gen.

This was the "meta" back when the Saw chapter first released. Everyone would 99% generator to give survivors time to remove the trap however it still never slowed the game down because traps still fall victim to RNG and gens can still be chain poped" if at 99%. Sure this may seem like it would add time but if you as a killer still see 5 gens remaining you feel less pressure and relax, opening yourself up to making mistakes. Nothing like 4-5 gens all going DING at once to make you crap your pants.

The traps should not reveal the boxes until active by default and I honestly think you should have 6 traps by default, this way you don't feel the need to save half (if not all) your traps until late/endgame.

I know , but perks like pop goes the weasel would help

Maybe, but I don't think I've seen that perk since the Clown chapter release as many people realized how niche it can be.

Right now rancor just feels like the killer gets a free kill, I think it's kinda bs that if you dont get hooked or even rouched the whole game you can be instantly killed and mori'd. I'm ok with a Dstrike counter I just think it should have a 2-3 minute timer so you atleast have some time to counter it and hide.

While I agree it sucks to be so heavily punished if you become the obsession without using obsession perks I don't think the perk is "unbalanced". As others have said its basically NOED for one person except it gives you the knowledge in advanced that the killer is using it. Now as a solo survivor player who never uses obsession perks it does really suck since randoms never help you out.

no they're are still many viable candidates but from my personal experience hillbilly is just too easy to reach high ranks and on ps4 surviving will always put you against a hillbilly not even kidding 98% hillbilly match he is too easy to play completely effectively

The problem is no one knows how to dodge the chainsaw and yet its so easy. I'm not saying this to brag or to make myself sound like the best player out there but I consistently hit rank 1 (yes its easy we all know) and its so incredibly rare I get hit with a chainsaw. There are so many simple tips to avoid it, even against "good" billy players.

1: Never run in a straight line
2: Stay away from choke points/bottle necks
3: Fake direction if the Billy is chainsawing from a distance
    4: PS4 simply use 360/fake 360's
5: Don't run in predictable patterns
6: Remember if they have missed 3 or more chainsaws then with that time they wasted they could have (most likely) hit you with that mallet already! If you get hit by a chainsaw on attempt #4/5/6/etc then you have effectively been hit with a regular melee twice already.

  • @AnotherRandy said:
Since the huge long lobby Q's it happens that I go afk and miss the match completely. Also due to the recent DC banwave it's the only way to derank. Can I get banned if I'm doing this multiple times?

There is a report option for "AFK" so yes if its a continued problem I would suspect you could receive a temporary ban.

  • Here is the problem, people who hack, Disconnect and/or break other rules will (hopefully) get banned, be it temporarily or permanently depending on the situation and the action the Mod wishes to take. If your computer loses power or the game crashes and you get disconnected you won't be banned for this as its something that (for most) will happen so few times in the course of your play history. This however will still get you in trouble if its a continued issue because both the system and the Mods cannot distinguish the difference every time. If its a common ongoing problem (be it innocent or not) it also affect the game of everyone else and you will likely get a temp ban or a warning should it continue. To some this may not seem fair as you have tried to fix your issue however it isn't fair to the others with whom you are playing.

I would say you are highly unlikely to be banned for "hacking" with your situation but I would say there is a possibility you may still get a temp ban regardless of the issue since it seems to be a common situation affecting everyone who plays against/with you.

  • Can Soap Get Dirty?
    By: Matt Soniak

Soaps are mixtures of sodium or potassium salts derived from fatty acids and alkali solutions in a process called saponification. Each soap molecule is made of a long, non-polar, hydrophobic (repelled by water) hydrocarbon chain (the "tail") capped by a polar, hydrophilic (water-soluble) "salt" head. Because soap molecules have both polar and non-polar properties, they're great emulsifiers, which means they can disperse one liquid into another.

When you wash your dirty hands with soap and water, the tails of the soap molecules are repelled by water and attracted to oils, which attract dirt. The tails cluster together and form structures called micelles, trapping the dirt and oils. The micelles are negatively charged and soluble in water, so they repel each other and remain dispersed in water—and can easily be washed away.

So, yes, soap does indeed get dirty. That's sort of how it gets your hands clean: by latching onto grease, dirt and oil more strongly than your skin does. Of course, when you're using soap, you're washing all those loose, dirt-trapping, dirty soap molecules away, but a bar of soap sitting on the bathroom counter or liquid soap in a bottle can also be contaminated with microorganisms.

This doesn't seem to be much of a problem, though. In the few studies that have been done on the matter, test subjects were given bars of soap laden with E. coli and other bacteria and instructed to wash up. None of the studies found any evidence of bacteria transfer from the soap to the subjects' hands. (It should be noted that two of these studies were conducted by Procter & Gamble and the Dial Corp., though no contradictory evidence has been found.)

Dirty soap can't clean itself, though. A contaminated bar of soap gets cleaned via the same mechanical action that helps clean you up when you wash your hands: good ol' fashioned scrubbing. The friction from rubbing your hands against the soap, as well as the flushing action of running water, removes harmful microorganisms from both your hands and the soap and sends them down the drain.

    Hopefully this helps!

  • Stalking Intensifies?

So what's the deal? How old is the Nurse really?

Because much like Beauty and The Beast the Huntress has a "tale as old as time"!

I won't lie I was pissed about the event at first but only because we could only get 1 skin set which was bs if you ask me. However now all I see on the forums is people complaining about really dumb things like extra bp for survivors after 30 vials or games not fun anymore. Honestly if anyone is going to complain, complain about how long killer wait time will be in the future that's the real issue and only major one I see. Things like survivors farming then killing themselfs or its too hard for killers to get vials or even just complaining about dumb things in general can you people just stop. If you are so pissed off at this games event go play a different game that has an event going on.

From complaining on the forums, creating post about the amount of complaining on the forums, to responding (as I am) about people who complain about complaining posts on the forum, it will never change and every single comment ever written by anyone is a "copy" of another somewhere down the line. Much like that famous Fallout quote it should also be said that "People...people never change".

  • I don't believe the Entity has any real form and instead simply manifest everything in its realm, from the ground you walk on to the trees that blow in the wind to the blight ridden flowers by using its powers.

  • Its on the way and any Disconnecting players along with people who were reported have that information saved at BHVR so once they have the system in place they will be able to shift through it all and make some calls. I've been playing dead by daylight since May of 2018 and mostly killer at that but ever since I started no matter what I do if someone is good at 360'ing I cannot hit them without missing at least 5 times. At this point I think I'm just ######### in some way.

A common mistake with dealing with 360's is killers tend to pull back on the analog stick while swinging DO NOT DO THIS. Even if you are simply going for a "R1 tap" and not a lunge you should always be moving forward. You should also look slightly down towards the ground to better center the survivor on your screen, this will give you more time to react to the sudden 360 or the "fake" 360. I would never recommend using the lunge attack on someone who does 360's as lag makes it difficult to land at times.

I have no problem dealing with people who 360 on PS4 unless I'm playing Doctor because he seems to suffer from fps lag more than other killers due to his electric shock animation eating game resources.

    To sum it up:

1: Look slightly down to the ground to better center survivors on your screen
2: Never go for a lunge attack unless in a tight spot with no wiggle room
3: Always keep that analog stick pushing forward and never pull back (should always be moving forward and turning camera not walking backwards)
4: If you are still struggling go for someone else and remember that that survivor will most likely become cocky and follow you rather than do gens ^.^

    It contains bad words (+16)

Hi guys, its my first time in a forum, im from Brazil so sorry for the bad english. Today i came to talk about the nurse, but not the nurse that you all know, i came to talk about the Console Nurses. Its impossible to get 4K with her(i played till prestige 2) because of her stun after the teleport, some of you can say that the teleport is overpower and good but we all know is impossible to get ANY sight using the console controller. (The PC mouse is very easy), so i am wondering what de devs can do to help the killers cause we all know the survivors are damn strong with the Gen Rush thing and broken perks, (some people say that hers addons dont work fine and i agree). Im main survivor and i play trapper as a killer so dont get mad at me i just wanna to maximize her pick rate cause no one uses her.

Its not impossible to do well with a Nurse on console but it takes a considerable amount of practice and patience. I use to be pretty good with Nurse on PS4 back when I dedicated myself to playing her, now however after a long break I'm terrible. Nurse is all about blink muscle memory and predicting survivors movements. Its so rare to see Nurse on console (let alone a good one) because of how difficult her mechanics are with PS4 and XBOX. Since its far easier to play the other killers her popularity is abysmal on console.

Until we get the console optimization patch in December (and it hopefully works) I don't think we will see any Nurse players. Personally I don't find that 100% sensitivity on the controller is enough at times but the biggest thing holding the Nurse back is the fps. Lets hope this December patch brings her some loving!

I tend to agree. I really feel like her expensive skin should be the default.

It’s kind of interesting how the male killers all get to be gory and spooky but the female killers (except maybe Hag) are kind of tame looking.

Nurse looks like the floating corpse of a pre-war Nurse who may have hung herself, Huntress looks like a feral human who has lived in seclusion all her life with that terrifying humming, Hag is by far the creepiest killer we have in both looks and walking animation and Amanda is a licensed killer and has taken on the iconic Pig head seen from the movies. I honestly fail to see how these characters are no scary/creepy. The spirit has limbs severed and that god awful floating grudge hair.

Then you have hillbilly who is a disfigured humanoid, Trapper who is a human with some spikes in his back, Wraith who honestly looks like a sad puppy 99% of the time and is honestly not scary looking at all, Doctor looks like every 9 year old's nightmare of going to the hospital.

I don't think the female characters are "tame" at all by comparison. I'm basing all of this off the default skins.

  • This is a hard one to answer. With enough practice you can play Nurse really well on Lery's however there are plenty of times when the "collision box" for her blink will just screw you over. If you are playing console Nurse then I would instantly accept that match as a loss because console fps, with Nurse on Lery's is 99.99% impossible unless fighting AFK survivors.

I will probably get downvoted but please read my post first...

I was really excited for the event and really like the skins and bonus objectives all that but I have to say that this event also encourages bad, toxic, and unfun playstyles.

The main problem: You can't get normal games anymore.

As a survivor, my fellow survivors just want to get their serum gathered ASAP. They don't unhook or do gens until they gathered everything.

After that they want to die as quickly as possible and move on to the next game and gather new serum. Until they die they just farm each other off the hook, try to rescue themselves and then don't struggle.

It's really, really bad if you ask me.

As a killer I can't get normal games either. I let survivors get their serums 3 or 4 games but after that it just gets boring because everyone expects you to farm and if you don't do that they just dc...

In my opinion this event was not really thought out. While having side objectives is nice, previous events didn't encourage this sort of behaviour.

What do you think and what are your experiences with the event so far?

With just a few minor changes this event could have been as mechanically pleasing as it is visually pleasing. If they just made it so survivors don't share the harvest from a plant and everyone had a the ability to get serum from them then people wouldn't "hard focus" finding plants right off the bat because they could simply worry about it after gens. If they also allowed players to get serum even after a vial was full then people wouldn't kill themselves to farm it faster. If they allowed points to be gathered from burning the offering after you got all your vials then people would still use offerings.

Simple changes that would have made the event far less frustrating. I play survivor solo and even though I'd love to participate in this event I'm doing so because I want the cosmetics and not because I'm having fun. Honestly I'm not sure its even worth wasting time I could be spending playing something I enjoy.
