You do realize that every player will play both sides?
Also its a complete mess at the moment, some survivors even let themselves be grabed of the planets - thats how desperate they are
And on console since we still don't have DC bans people instantly DC if they know they are going to die so as to avoid losing vial progression...The event has been a nightmare as a solo survivor player.

Because you're playing survivor lol
Confused by your answer as survivors see the vial at the top right hand corner while playing. So not sure what you mean by "Because you're playing survivor lol".

I only have nea and claudette leveled up the rest are lvl 1. So i started spending points on lvl 1 survivors to get offerings easier and was burning one every game, unless I'm nearly full. While I cannot say the same for the rest for my teammates and killers(who should have enough bp after each game to level up their lvl 50 bloodweb assuming they have bbq). Stop being so greedy and burn an offering we will all get our cosmetics and bp faster. You get 1000 bp for every canker as a survivor. Burning 1 offering will grant you 3000 bp minimum even if you don't harvest any. I started playing dbd during bbq event and didn't know how those offerings work. Don't end up like me with 40 bbq offerings sitting in your inventory when the event is over.Correction you get 4k for completely harvesting a plant and 1k if you never even participated in the harvest (so long as you burnt a offering)
Its difficult for me to get many offerings because all my survivors (aside form Adam) are level 50 and the blood-webs cost a ton of Blood-points to burn through. -
I simply think that if you are getting tunneled and or camped fireworks should shoot off in the area and a small marching band should circle the hook, banging drums and blowing horns! Man I'd love losing then!

Well there are people who agree with your view and there are people who agree with my view. I can see where you're coming from but from my perspective I'm looking at where most games tend to go when given an inch. If DBD did start offering BP for real money how long would it take until it was no longer just BP?
I may be pessimistic about the idea but that's what other gaming companies have shown me.
Either way we can only see where the game goes from here.Cheers mate!

I don't think the infinite range was necessary, I did think it needed a range increase but not this much. I think it should've been 24/36/48 meters for 6 seconds and a cooldown of 45 seconds. As someone who enjoyed the perk for those close generator kick hiding spots it has simply become way too good now. I play solo survivor and along with the obsession icon chase wiggle thing I literally have no fear since I'm always aware of who is being chased. I though the point they wanted to focus on was balancing SWF not making solo survivors just as good. Oh wait, I never thought that...

I'd like to ask from a survivor perspective; what do you want in a killers arsenal in terms of their special ability. Not in regards to existing killers, but future ones. Please refrain from dumping on other's opinions as this is what they'd like as a challenge. Keep in mind any new killer will have movement speed within the range of existing killers.
Killers know what they want, but what do you want to challenge yourself with? The only thing I want in a killer is my D-strike.

I noticed this everytime I play with the original bald Dwight: killers seem willing to drop whatever they are doing as soon as they get a glimpse of his smooth scalp just to chase me, while when I play my mains (Nea and Jake) this doesn't happen. I don't even use particularly fancy clothes. This thread is not to cry about tunneling, I just find this thing interesting and was curious if someone else has a similar experienceIts because Dwight's bald head offers an easier method of flashlight saving. If a survivor shines their flashlight on to that beautifully polished head the killer will be blinded within a 24m radius (as well as all other survivors). Dwight is essentially a priority target for this completely illogical reason.

Ok, occasionally I will let the killer kill me, on one condition. If they message me (saying I can get hatch), or just don't hit me when they get right behind me, I instead run to a hook and point at it. I'm even high rank, but that brings up my question.
Do you ever do it, and if yes, at what rank?
Me: Rank 3 and yes I do.
If it seems like they are doing a daily (I play console so seeing a Nurse player is a dead giveaway) or they seem like they are going for an achievement. I may also let them kill/hook me during an event if they didn't get all their hooks or in a game if its a complete 1 sided match for survivors. I may also give a hook/kill if teammates were being extremely toxic.
Before I started playing a healthy mix of both sides I was strongly killer oriented and never had a sympathetic hook from a survivor. I figure since I know the pain I can offer some pity.
I play to have fun so I often let survivors go in situations where the above mentioned are reversed towards survivors.

Considering killer is suppose to be the power role, what makes them a threat? Many have varying ideas on how they should be, but what I'd like to know is which features change a killer from easy- challenge- overpowered. Not referencing perks cause those are interchangeable or addons cause those are consumable/inconsistent.The only overpowered thing in this game are the servers during an event.

Humanity has been using fire and light as forms of communication for centuries. From smoke signals with fire to the lighting of brazers and lighthouses, so I see no reason why a flashlight cannot do the same. I'd say it is a great way to signal your presence to another player for a variety of reason and can even be used to point to/demonstrate your intent for that player to follow.

There has been a huge wave ban on PC with more on the way recently so BHVR is starting to finally take some action. As for we console peasants they are still setting up the ban system so all we can do is wait right now. From what I read it seems like all the data (from reports at endgame and data their system collected) is saved so that once the system is in place bans can begin immediately.

As much as I enjoyed playing the Scratch Mirror Myers build with Monitor and Abuse on Lery's Memorial I have found a new master of stealth.
Wraith with the Coxacomb ultra-rare (no bell sound) and Ghost common (no terror radius or red stain for 6 seconds after uncloaking) add-ons you will jump-scare/gen pull almost everyone, every-time at any level of play. Wraith has become the new master of jump-scare.

Some people are rich losers too. Don't assume everyone is poor simply because loads of people joined when the game was free.

I need some honest opinion or some facts about Freddy Kreuger. I plan on buy him and want to know if he Is underwhelming or have a hard time doing the job compared to other killers? I'm just asking because I really don't want to waste my money if he is not that good.He is difficult to play against survivors who have a mid to high skill grasp of the game. He will completely destroy new players and may seems good at first because of this. Freddy is easily considered the weakest of all the killers by the community at large and will be receiving a re-work soon as the Devs have confirmed.
I personally find Freddy boring to play against because of how easily you can escape him and how boring it is to try and play stealthy against something you cannot see at all.
I personally find Freddy fun to play if I'm simply messing around as he can have a few "troll" builds set up to simply make people lives miserable for the length of the match. He is however not a character I would play if "winning" (or 4k) is your intended goal.
With all that being said he is still a fun killer to play at times provided his dream world vision isn't too difficult for you to see through.

Freddy won't be making it to Prime Time if that's what you're asking.

Does the emblem still loses it's points if you camp at the end game? I'm asking this because it's almost the only thing you can do at the end game so that's why Im asking thoThe penalty for being near the hook:
After 10 seconds of hooking someone the penalty will start if you are within 16m, this is increased if you are within 8m.
The penalty will not apply if:
1 or more survivors are within 16m of the hook.
You are in a chase while near the hook.
The survivor on the hook is the last remaining survivor alive. So endgame hook camping will not be possible if survivors simply stay 17m or more away from the hook forcing you to keep a distance yourself. Although I don't enjoy being camped and don't do it myself (unless endgame) I do not feel it is a balanced/unexploitable method they have implemented. Since rank currently holds no significance at all right now I personally do not care about my emblem however there are people who want to rank up and this seems imbalanced for them.

^title. She'd still get looped to oblivion so I don't think this would make her OP, they already don't kill survivors anyways, also devs want to drag out the game.
If old traps could simply be picked up from where they were taken off I think that would be neat. It would be a simple way to replenish your stock while still making them something you have to go grab.

The conversation as a whole has been riddled with misunderstanding so let me clarify.
The "husk's" terror radius is treated the same as the Spirits regular terror radius. It has a default range of 24m and can be increased or decreased with any terror radius perks. So distressing, as you are asking, will increase the range of the husk's terror radius.

The servers always seem to act up right before a big event/dlc drop and during said scenarios. It will be fix eventually but in the meantime all we can do is find something else to play or keep trying to make this work...
Trust me the event is going to need an extension because I easily predict 4-6 days where most people cannot join the game at all.
With that being said I'm often of the mindset that my glass is half empty. I'd rather expect the worst and be happily proven wrong or at the very least say I was right. -
Well this sucks, I'm at work right now and cannot change this just yet. Anyone know if the problem is avoided should you simply not view the message? I often get spam friend requests that I never reply too but I would hate to find out that when I get home my console is suddenly bricked.

To the devs while I appreciate the sabo being made more useful having 4 hooks all drop within the 1st 6 seconds or so of a game starting is a bit much. I didn't ever really see 4 man tool box sabo squads on either side, but now it's rampant and even with Hangman's they just 99 it and then drop everything in the vicinity. While you could 99 before it took a lot longer and wasn't so completely broken to the point that people could 99 and gen rush with impunity.
I'm glad they finally changed the event hooks being saboed and although I have yet to experience your scenario I personally haven't had any trouble with sabo squads. The first squad I fought spent so much time 99% hooks that I was able to "fake" pick people up and have them come running to me. I don't enjoy playing a slug build but it seems to work wonders against these types of players. Now I just need BHVR to hurry up and implement the console DC banns because sabo squads seem inclined to DC once they realize that I don't need hooks to slug.
Either way sabo squads will die down soon enough once more killers start running slug builds. These games are boring for everyone after all.

Buying bloodpoints would make it akin to a pay-to-win game. If DBD ever goes down that route I'll probably throw in the towel.I dont think yall understand the difference between pay to win and pay to lessen the grind
This "grind" is directly tied to perks for a multiplayer game so it give you a possible advantage over those who can't pay. If this was a single player game then it would just be a greedy tactic but since its a multiplayer game it would become P2W.
I don't think you understand what P2W truly means.
Pay to win implies that someone who pays has an advantage over someone who doesn't. Which they don't. A person with enough time played has the advantage. Plus most perks don't take long at all to achieve, and you don't need meta build to play well, especially as survivor.
Perks provide a boost to performance and if you can pay to acquire these perks faster in a online multiplayer game then you are implementing a P2W scenario. Saying someone who plays longer has the advantage can be said about any game where you develop skill over time and it does not remove from the fact that you also gain an advantage by skipping that grind by buying these perks.
Every P2W game that offers the ability to buy your way through the grind also offers the opportunity to get these items/perks/etc by playing, however its a ludicrous amount of time needed to get the same footing as someone who payed. Sure these players will have developed a higher skill set because they actually played the game for longer but the people who bought to have the aforementioned payed items are boosted with this advantage prior to developing a strong skill set.
So again you still don't seem to understand what P2W actually entails, even if you believe that buying BP wouldn't be a huge deal because the perks don't seem to offer much in way of an advantage because you have already developed experience I can definitely say a new player without perks would perform far worst than a new player with perks/items.

- During the lunge, the final Generator activates
- NOED activates and i down them in 1-hit
This was satisfying asf.
I was playing the game with a friend who was cleansing a hex totem, right before he finished it I said "wait he could have Haunted Grounds" the moment I finished saying that the totem exploded and we all got the exposed effect. As my friend and I were laughing at what just happend we saw on the bottom of the screen one of the other two survivors go down instantly. For the rest of the match my friend was guilted into protecting that survivor with his life. Was a great moment even if we did all die in the end.

Seriously, I don't get it why would you want a particular killer that's main Power is useless if they're dealing with a group of Survive with friends. No I won't lie the concept is pretty cool but the execution is flawed in more ways than one.
1. You have to have another power on top of already being able to shape-shift.
2. How in God's name would you control your power to change into another Survivor of your choice.
3. Surprise won't mean much once they figure out what you are.I'm sorry but I don't get it...care to explain
I just want them to implement an agent from the IRS and that will get everyone screaming and running!

It really angers me how quickly people are to get outraged and blame others theses past few years. The anonymity and freedom created by the internet makes people feel invisible and separated from what they project onto others. Half these people would crumble if these conversations had to take place face to face because they would actually have to be prepared to face consequences or at least be forced to think on what they want to say before saying it.
-
Yup its always funny to see people complaining about getting banned for DCing or being toxic, you've gone on too long without being punished and now they are crying they can't get away with it.
So long as they don't simply ban people for first time offence or take the time to look into toxic people simply reporting others because they are angry and for no good reason.

@Tsulan said:
The amount of disconnects stands in no correlation to the amount of lag switchers.
I've over 1000 hours and I can count the lag switchers I've seen on 1 hand.
Almost every match has people disconnecting, because there was no apparent punishment. Also, the switch from peer 2 peer to dedicated servers is way more complicated than you think. It's probably not even possible, since it may be hardcoded.
Explain the amount of DCing that goes on with console because there is no such thing as lag switchers or hacking there and yet 9/10 games seem to have at least 1 person DC. Its due to lack of punishment that people DC and cannot be blamed on BHVR. People are responsible for their own actions don't try pointing that finger at anyone else and take responsibility for yourself if you DC.
Tsulan is right about switching server styles it isn't possible to just flip a switch and make it happen as it takes loads of money and time to set servers up and re-code game files to run on a new server setup. As I'm not on the programming team at BHVR I don't know how deeply that coding change would need to go to even switch the server type.
