If survivors and killers unite survivors need to accept that killer should be op for sure or you have A unbalanced game.
Riiiight, ofc. Go and demand what YOU want.
That's exactly what the OP is talking about , people like this creature are the problem.
You can live In that bubble you are in as long as you want but trust me you will see how many actually agree with me. Have A good day... bruh
Here is the problem with DBD and its community:
Dead By Daylight doesn't know what direction it wants to go/what sort of game it wants to be. Sure its listed as horror but what type? You can easily debate several "horror" elements with this game.
For example let me take two games that fall under the "Battle Royal" category that have clear game direction. Cod 4 Blackout is a Battle Royal that is meant to be more realistic (video game realistic) and competitive.
Then we have a game like Totally Accurate Battlegrounds that is also a Battle Royal game but is clearly meant to be more casual and fun.
If a gun in Blackout were to be considered way too "overpowered" it would be expected that this gun is re-balanced to maintain that competitive feel, yet if a gun was considered "overpowered" in Totally Accurate Battlegrounds it would be widely accepted as a fun gun that people may or may not want to see changed because the game is simply casual fun and not competitive by nature.Dead By Daylight doesn't have a clear direction with this community. Does it want to be a game where the survivors have to work together to overcome a truly powerful Killer or does it want to be a more casual game of what is essentially "tag". They seem to be confused themselves with how they try to balance the game and that is why so many people are in disagreement about what they want from DBD.

The stun from a full wiggle bar and the stun from you dropping a survivor to complete that wiggle bar are the same time/animation. The only extension of this animation comes from DS.

You remove -1 perk per swf member.2 people have 3 perks
3 people have 2 perks
4 people have 1 perkHsving a full team should challenge survivors. Moreover only having 1 perk each would reward team work and communication in a reasonable and non exploitive manner. And it puts survivors and killers on a more level playing field: 4 perks vs 4 perks as opposed to 4 vs 16 (with 4 possible defensive strikes and definitely 4 self cares and some sort of mobility perk.)
The problem is SWF already get a bunch of perks because they can communicate.
Bond, Empathy, Premonition, Spine chill, Kindred, Object of obsession, Alert, Distraction, Windows of opportunity, Open handed, all these perks because of communication. They are also far more likely to have someone at the ready for healing, hook saving, body-blocking, flashlight saving or gen rushing if you're chased off one.
My point is removing a perk per person isn't really going to do anything.
-
No you cannot use a flashlight to stop a Mori. Even if the killer is 100% "blinded" they can still hold the action button to perform the Mori, much like they can still vault and kick generators while blinded.
Edited for spelling mistakes! Oh noes!

In my opinion the best way to not get camped is to avoid being a nice clear plot of land. most people look for secluded, dry and somewhat leveled plots of land to set up camp. If you can avoid either of these ideal qualities people will be less likely to choose you as their camping destination.

It would be nice if killers knew which totems were which.Like at the very least Haunted Grounds totems appeared blue or yellow or green rather than red.
I agree that it would be a simple but nice buff if you:
Could see the aura of your totems since right now it is nearly invisible at times.
Could distinguish each totems respected perk. Not only would this make it easier for killers to know what totems they should protect but it would also give a "mindgame" aspect as survivors could also pick up on what totems the killer is prioritizing over another. This could also be a trick that the killer is hoping the survivors pick up on.
I would say rather than make Thrill a "baseline perk" that Hex totems should simply take a little longer to cleanse by default and Thrill can still keep its notification and time increase. maybe make it so Thrill itself doesn't get the baseline hex increase so that it become a priority to cleanse also, since right now people will ignore Thrill.

It's been here since patch 1.5 and more and more killers are ruining games with it. You literally just spamm the drop button on killer and because you're host, you always get the drop before the blind. It's such an annoying exploit that literally breaks the game I'm surprised more people aren't spamming the forums about it.
Gentapping is fine though?
also what is about the exploit of the animation lock?
@Master Gentapping isn’t an exploit lol. It take so hella long to complete it just gen tapping alone.
By that definition then flashlight dropping isn't an exploit because having to drop that survivor takes "hella long" to get them on a hook.
Both of these situations "Ruin gen tapping" and "Flashlight dropping" are exploits of design used to avoid the original mechanic of the thing they are exploiting.
Tapping a gen to avoid skill-checks may still take longer than doing a generator normally but it still breaks the intended mechanic of the perk and exploits the fact that you don't get skill-checks.
Spamming the drop button when being hit with a flashlight exploits the small pickup frame allowing you to skip being blind and losing the survivor. It takes longer to pick that person back up and keep going to the hook but it still breaks the intended mechanic of the flashlight.
Exploits don't always have to be "game breaking" to still be an exploit. Also before anyone says "the developers said they are fine with gen tapping" that still doesn't mean it isn't breaking the perks intended mechanic. As I said above an exploit doesn't have to be game breaking to be an exploit.

Her RBT is BS.Survivors don't scare from it and it is easy to get out.The time should be 30 second lower so it mean if u tried 3 boxes and still fail you should die no matter what. Also her ambush system needs to be buff.Although I agree her traps are very weak they were never intended to secure kills but rather stall the game. If putting a trap on someones head resulted in a 25% chance they just RNG die (since you said 3 failed boxes = death) then she would become way too over-tuned and RNG is never fun in a game like this. Its like when someone get a RNG 4% off a hook it just isn't fun for the killer.

15-20 games played today, 100% NOED.After it's ridiculously unneeded buff to cause EXPOSED on every tier, when should we expect to just become baseline for every killer? Just like Self Care, almost any killer worth their salt knows that there is ZERO reason NOT to take NOED now, especially since some genius made it so that you only need tier 1 to receive the only benefit this perk is ever used for in the first place (honestly, no one acknowledges or even knows there's a speed boost).
Flame responses in 3.... 2.... 1....
As others have said NOED has the simple counter play of breaking 5 totems. This can be done before the perk is even active. We have also seen DS in almost every game since its release and yet nothing has changed. Some people have started running Enduring to counter DS but it isn't a counter. My point is people will always find something on both sides to complain about and this vicious circle will keep spinning around. Lets focus of changing how we play instead of complaining for something that isn't going to change.

Community is so split between survivors and killers and so toxic that there's no fun in this game.Any game that has an online community and an open forum will become toxic to some extent. If I were to try and grab at specific reasons this game has become so toxic here is the list I would created. Let me say this once more these are my own personal opinions and not definitive reasons as to why we see so much toxicity with the DBD community. This list is in no particular order.
1: No clear division between PC players and console players causes complaint/balance misunderstanding with some posts. I feel some people will see someone complain that Killer X is overpowered and will throw a reply in protest before they established what platform or circumstance the Original poster is referring. Problems that plague PC may not affect console and vise versa.
2: Huge lack of moderation on all Platforms (PC is starting to get some moderation). Since people have been able to play this game however they like with little to no consequences. (streamers included since they feed viewers with negativity/bad behavior. I don't include every streamer of course) This allows people to ruin the game for everyone else and not be punished creating a huge feeling of frustration towards the game and developers.
3: Lack of proper testing before a patch or update goes live. Now I understand this isn't always easy as fewer players are participating in the "PTB" and it seems no trial testing is done for console (again I understand Sony/Microsoft don't help this issue with licensing). This often leads to new additions over-performing or under-performing during their launch alongside many game mechanics breaking as a result. In some cases these are fixed quickly while others are kept in the game for far too long. It becomes incredibly frustrating because this isn't a rare instance but instead happens almost every patch/update we get.
4: Unique title with few decent competitors corals players to one game alone. What I mean by this is that if you start to experience a "burn out" with DBD you don't really have another game that does what DBD does in a decent way with a large enough community. This is of course no ones fault but people will oddly enough continue to play DBD even when they are no longer having fun, leading to a shorter fuse to their frustration and negative outbursts.
5: People simply love to complain when they can remain anonymous. Since people rarely have to face any sort of consequence while talking online under the guise of a username many will simply lash out rather than speak with a calm head. Some people simply like to push the buttons of others because "they can" (again without consequence). Honestly there is very little to be done here save continued moderation of these players on the forums.
6: DBD has no clear direction. This is what honestly confused me the most when I started playing. DBD has only one mode to play and that is "ranked" yet the rank in this game doesn't really mean much. Sure you can argue it helps sort out the "matchmaking" in this game but even then it is easily broken by short "seasons" and SWF. If DBD wants to use a ranking system I feel they either need to take proper steps to fix the matchmaking so as to not become easily abused or add a "casual" mode where rank isn't implemented. I also find it odd that you would force people to see this rank and the "pip" performance after each match making it seem like a good thing to rank up and a bad one to rank down. I still feel I'm not doing very well with explaining this one because I cannot say DBD is trying to act competitive yet they do implement some elements of a competitive game. Even if you are a player who just plays casually it is still a bad feeling to see that "pip/emblem" system go down after a match and makes you feel more compelled to focus on ranking up. The problem with that becomes the more pressure you feel placed on you to perform well creates frustration and negativity should you perform poorly. This again results in players disconnecting or having outburst.
I cannot claim to have any answers to fix these problem nor can I claim that I have not been negative in some aspect myself. I am simply grasping for what reasons I have observed and writing in response to this post.

ok thanks, maybe it is not very useful thenPigMain makes a good point but remember it makes "fake" phasing easier since you have a bit more wiggle room where they cannot hear the "whoosh" sound. It isn't as useful as you may like in all cases but it certainly isn't useless.

Instead of me suggesting something, I wanna hear it from the amazing community. Go for it y'all. For starters when you are on the hook I think a knock off version of Wii Fit should play a video of Hook aerobics that you can follow along with, you know to really work those tendons.
Secondly I think you should be able to swing while on the hook so you can try and go for the "big swing" up and over the bar. This lets you really show those other playground kiddies that your the big boy/gal on the field.
Lastly why not let the hooked survivor keep the metal portion of the "hook" as a souvenir to show their friends back home? Its not everyday you get placed on a meat hook.

Are they going to make it where when survivors die they can't see the killers perks and ad ons till end of game? So that SWF can't tell the others what perks the killer has when they die. They have already said the want to make it impossible to see the killers full load-out until after a match is complete because it defeats the purpose of keeping everything secret.
-
I love that people say Billy is "OP". What difference is there with a console Billy vs a PC Billy? Billy still suffers the same fps and analog that all the other killers face. The problem is people way to often run into bottle necks or run in a straight line against a Billy. On console 360's are easy to get away with (unless you face someone who is half decent and isn't in corn) and Billy's chainsaw is no different. If Billy misses that chainsaw a few times people seems to forget that any other killer would have hit you upside the head with a regular attack so you would still have been knocked down either way.
I've seen a few good Huntress players but I agree its tough to aim the damn hatchets. I have also met some very good Nurse players and I myself (back when I made a commitment to "main" Nurse) was pretty good too. They are incredibly rare to see though because fps does ruin their vision far more than anyone else. The two killers themselves are not beyond impossible to play but are very boring because you are basically looking at some abstract DBD artwork as the screen struggles on fps. I'd say the only major difference the game faces PC vs console is that console is less toxic since you don't have easy access to endgame chat and killers are less precise with their aim because fps bogs things down. Everything else pretty much plays the same.

Trapper REALLY needs to have the odds of someone escaping his traps to be in HIS favor not in the survivors. I know I know...we'd have to make the babies of the community cry, but it is what it is.
Its 100% RNG and I rarely escape the traps (I also rarely get caught considering how small the hit-box is). It seems you just had some horrible luck.

You should just nerf the Wraith back to the basement again since most Wraiths at ranks 1-3 Hard camp just as much as they did before the emblem change. You should re add in all those applets and put the maps back where they were before so Wraiths have a reason to camp.I'm partially joking of course but seriously killer mains your Wraith brethren are making the entitled survivors looks like saints right now. It's even worse when they sit there post game and say ez as if it took skill to camp with Purple addons 5 steps from the hook.
It sounds like all this toxic camping behavior is multiplied and magnified on PC because it very rare to get camped by anything other than Hag on PS4 and even then its rare to see Hag.
-
Yeah we had a game (PS4 sadly no pictures) where all three gens where around the shack. Thankfully the killer wanted to farm so by this point it was just funny to see and not game breaking.

@Wolf74 said:
How about "don't be the first on the hook"?
Do not jump the very first gen you see.
Do not run towards the nearest objective.
Try to play stealthy until you know who the killer is and actually where?
Wait until he found someone else first and than take action.I know, it's hard, because survivor love their gen rush and rather complain than adept, becasue that worked for 2 years now and Devs always gave what you asked for.
I agree with everything you said here however I'm not sure what BHVR was thinking with the emblem loss for killers who camp because anyone trying to rank up knows not to camp. All they have done is offer hard camping killers the ability to (more easily) de-pip and stay at low ranks. It seems to not be stopping anything.
Also even if you don't jump on an objective you cannot always prevent being the first caught. I've been camped plenty of times but just play the match out and move on.

I see no harm if it stays the same or changes. If I were to guess the reason the numbers were not listed is because they would seem almost inconsequential to most players as the numbers appear to be very low (example 0.5 seconds on a missed swing). For some the wording makes it seem "better" but for people who understand how much of a difference such small % can make having the numbers would be easier to understand.

Would means a change much needed to blood warden should be applied too, also you're not supposed to have security of knowing if other survivors are ok. Not all details should be given as that is another too to let a solo know a gate is open and they don't have to try to open another door. The end game just needs a change like timed doors or something not a quick fix. The problem is the mechanic, not the ui.

I wonder how many people who returned for the event either (1) finished both sides by now or (2) just said to hell with it and gave up on the Killer side due to lobbies, and have left again until the next seasonal event or double BP event.
I said to hell with it half way through doing the survivor vials because playing solo survivor is hell right now.

Why devs don't listen us? We always share console problems on every forum but devs don't answer our question. They will fix frame rate on december at least but we have a few major problems too.
1 - killer sensivity : It is too low we need very high sensitivity, thats why huntress and nurse are worst killers on console(unplayable killers on rank 1)
2 - Pig's grab problem : Right now pig can not hatch grab or pallet grab. She is doing animation but it is bugging her and survivor still escape.
3 - Input delay - Dedicated servers please
4 - Auto aim for nurse - we really need that
I disagree with 4 because we use to have auto-aim and I hated it. So many times as a survivor rounded a corner auto-aim would wrestle control from me and I'd hit the wall. Since it was taken away I can now move and aim correctly...assuming fps is being kind...
You can't flick analog when they 360.Thats why console needs auto aim
Well ConsoleNurse it isn't the 360's that get me on Nurse (PS4) but the horrible collision detection on map hit-boxes while blinking. Then there is the dreadful console fps corn vision....
I would like to have a higher sensitivity for console players but I don't find it difficult to hit people who 360 because the swing of your weapon has a rather generous hit cone.
This is of course my personal opinion.
