Because if they allowed Wraith to hit people while invisible then the gap between Freddy and viable Killers would be so huge BHVR would have no choice but to buff Freddy.

The killer I play the most is Michael Myers, and as Michael I loathe the Coldwind maps. So much corn blindness makes it tough to tier up.What about you guys?
Anything with Corn or Reeds, hell even the horrible Bamboo shoots in the new map. Sure you eventually get better at seeing past them but its still so damn tough and killers like Myers get robed of their power.

The problem is with this BP week out right now people feel coarsed into maximizing their rewards in DBD when they would rather be playing RD2.

Nothing like making a low 300 shards per level then suddenly getting 84 shards per level....Makes you feel great when trying to farm shards.

I think Stridor's usefulness depends on a) your reactions and how quickly you process auditory information, and b) the quality of your headphones/speakers.I ran it on Spirit for a while and then sacked it off. Never caught anyone with it. Now I use Sloppy+Nurses and have much better results. Will swap out Sloppy Butcher for Lightborn if I see flashlights.
well my tv speakers are ok at best so probably a useless perk for me
Yup I only use my TV and sadly Stridor doesn't do too much. Its nice if you are new and lose sight of people easily but not very useful unless you have a good headset where you can pinpoint survivor direction.

Stridor is the best perk you could use for spirit
If you are playing on PC then I would say Stridor is great, however on console its not fantastic unless you are one of the odd ones who bought an expensive headset.

I've dabbled in Nurse before, but now I'm jumping in to really learn her. I'm either playing no add-ons or the Plaid Flannel (but I feel like it's wrong, I don't seem to teleport to where it shows me). Is there a trick to aiming? Should I always aim up if I want max range?I run a bunch of perks. Shadowborn seems to be a must on her, it helps so much with the blinks, but my problem is the perk gives you a fish eye view. I feel like I can never hit lethal blinks despite being able to track/find survivors better.
Right now I can hit like 50% of the time on blinks but I don't quite get where the aim is going. Tips?
If you aim up a little you will guarantee you get the full distance of how much blink you charged. Any deviation looking down will reduce how far you blink (this can be a good thing if you accidentally overcharged your intended distance). Just keep practicing and soon you won't feel the need to use the shirt add-on or Shadowborn. Once you get use to the horrible console fps (if this is console) you can swap that perk out for something useful.

Decisive Destruction
Once per match, you can destroy a completed generator. Upon destruction, the generator will be regressed by 50/75/100%. (Tiers increase regression)
I have no want for this perk to exist. What are your ideas on 100% OP perks
Don't forget that the killer now gets a 4% chance to instantly kill any survivor he hooks.

Forgive me father for I have sinned, but I've never played any of the Silent Hill games. With that being said isn't Pyramid Head the manifestation of that main characters sexual and brutal nature or something? It was my understanding that the killer, Pyramid Head, was all in his head. Sure that can easily be adjusted for the game and I'm not against the idea I'm just confused to what Pyramid Head actually is.

actively carhcing someone in your bear trap should come with some sort of a reward, not just an injury, id say it deserves a hook, not a chase to lwad you to a hookThe problem with the trap is its 100% RNG. I've had matches where I escape on the first attempt and others where it takes an eternity to escape. This is why the traps feel so bad because you have no control over their effectiveness. If there was a delay (lets say the survivors are to busy screaming in pain) before an attempt could be made then it wouldn't feel so RNG based. Its very similar to Pig trap where people get them off on the first box.

I can then take that turd and polish it, sure that polished turd is still a lump of crap but now its polished and just a little bit better than before. Is this a huge improvement? No. But a polished turd is still better than an unpolished one.
Hopefully this helps you understand what the optimization patch will bring and you can set your expectations more realistically.

The game is too hard as a solo survivor can we somehow implement all perks baseline into anyone playing solo survivor? I would also like to see the solo survivor be notified of all actions taken on the map by other survivors. I think this would be a great way to have solo survivor players on par with SWF and I think it would really increase the enjoyment Killers get while playing the game too.

WGLF is just a farming perk. Its good enough for what it is meant to do but the problem is most people farm their team when running it.

I've always wandered what was Adam Franchis teaching before being taken by the entity. To me it looks like a chemistry teacher.I could be wrong since I don't 100% remember his lore but I would assume English since that's probably the most common teaching position foreigners are offered. Since he didn't understand the language when he first moved I don't see him being very good at teaching chemistry to a class that may not understand him.
Also they pay very well for people teaching English.

If people spend a bunch of time hitting hooks that's more time in a match since fewer (if any) are doing gens. All a "sabo" meta will bring is a "slug" meta. You may be having fun now but don't complain when you have to crawl around bleeding out.
-
Your above response would have been a better original post from you . Who's complaining ?
I only see the usual childish threads like 'remove swf, just got 4K's against SWF, fix gen rush without giving any example' and the ocasional flame/bait thread, what's the point of this ?And to say it got rather nerfed than buffed takes away from your credibility
Before I start let me say I don't like NOED since it basically removes any skillful play just like DS but you cannot say it didn't receive a nerf. How many games did you play before the change where all 5 totems were hunted down and not simply cleansed if you happened to need points? Now since people know the perk has become popular hunting totems is on the list of things to do almost every match. As a result there is no more surprise NOED because the totems are already broken. The only time I ever see NOED activated (I play solo survivor) is on maps like The Game or Treatment Theater were they are hidden somewhat well. You cannot lump everyone who says the perk was hit with a "shadow nerf" under the same blanket as those who complain about everything in this game.

There is no such thing as "hook vacuum".Yes there is but its not what most people think. The "vacuum" comes from the Killer being "pushed" or "slid" into place so that the animation can line up. By all accounts you were in the right place when you activated the action but sometimes your character model needs to be adjusted to make the animation work so people view your model "sliding" or being "vacuumed" to the hook.
-
You cannot use a Mori and can only use the 3 original perks that come with that Killer. From my experience bringing in add-ons can sometimes cause the achievement to not work so I'd recommend not bringing add-ons. I was told that if people DC it still counts as a kill towards the achievement so you (in theory) could get it much easier if you play scummy. It sucks but these are probably some of the harder achievements to get depending on the Killer and SWF in question.

Its a busted mechanic that sometimes works and other times doesn't. I too have been hit before I even touch the ground while other times I've been hit a solid 3 seconds after running and still had the effect. I think it needs to be looked at and fixed soon because its BS towards killers when the effect is extended and BS to survivors when they are getting hit before even being fully unhooked.

@SmokePotion said:
Boil over is weird. if the killer strafes as he walks, the wiggling effect a survivor gives is minimal. And since movement on pc is done by WASD, killers tend to use strafing as they move, so the effect doesn't do much.On console where you are using twin stick, this perk is noticably stronger. Boilover has 100% stopped me in my tracks for about a second, to 1.5 seconds as a killer on console.
The hiding the hook part though...Kinda useless. If the hook is close, i know where it is, and if it isn't, I can see it's aura till its close, and by then i know all the info I need.
So i don't think boil over needs buffed. i think they need to look at movement controls. As the perk seems to work as intended on consoles.
edit: On second thought, this could also be working better on console because if you go HAM on that stick, that bar will fill pretty fast, and this "extra pork" might be what's giving the perk it's umph?
On console if you just walk at an angle you can ignore a lot of the swaying back and forth. Not every perk needs to be "buffed" or top tier. Sometimes its good to have middle of the road and gimmick perks too.

@Mister_xD said:
dude... noed got actually nerfed.
they only evened out the seperate tiers by giving noed 1 and 2 the exposed effect, but overall the perk got nerfed in its stats. And the fact that now everyone hunts totems because they know NOED is being played more. I honestly don't like NOED but this wasn't a buff to the perk so I don't know why people complaining (you know aside from "this is the internet").
-
@Judgement said:
I find it hilariously ironic that people are complaining about NOED's "buff" when it actually got even more nerfed than buffed.
A perk shouldn't be forced to be T3 to make it not worthless, that's why T1 and T2 were given Exposed.
You know what they lost?
Before they were 3/4/4 percent movement speed and now they're 2/3/4 percent.
But they completely lost their attack cooldown speed which was 4/8/8 percent each - it doesn't exist anymore.
NOED should have applied Exposed on all tiers regardless. With these RNG bloodwebs a Killer can go from Level 1 to 50 and only get T1 NOED, which was literally a useless perk. Now it actually has worth outside of T3."Survivor mains" are literally complaining about a Killer perk being nerfed.
They also got nerfed by the fact that now everyone expects you to be running it so they destroy all the totem regardless. Back in the day you never really cared for totems now its pretty much becoming a staple thing to hunt.

ThanataphobiaTheir courage fades in the face of their undeniable mortality
All Survivors receive penalties to repair, healing and sabotage speeds for each Injured, Dying or hooked Survivor.
1 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivor: 6 % reduced action speed.
2 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivors: 9 % reduced action speed.
3 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivors: 12 % reduced action speed.
4 Injured, Dying or hooked Survivors: 15 % reduced action speed. Its obviously bad. But in my opinion it cant be buffed. If it were buffed to have better percentages it would completely undermine Dying Light depending on what the percentages are added by because the debuff would be easier to achieve then tunneling your obsession to death.. If each percentage was given an extra 8-9% Which in my opinion would be the border line percentage to make this perk good it would make dying light useless. Thanataphobia needs a complete change to what it is in my opinion to be a viable perk eithout a buff to make Dying Light useless.
Its easy-peasy to fix, just add a BP multiplier to it and BAM instant pick-able perk!
In all honesty I agree I can't think of a way to tweak this perk without simply redoing it. -

I know, and the devs clearly don't understand what it does allowing gentapping!
It's a gamebalance issue!
Almost everything Behavior has done has caused game balance issues, however Gen Tapping is not an exploit. Whether it’s balanced is another thing entirely.
On a side note, unless they’ve recently changed it, you cannot avoid Overcharge by Gen Tapping.
You can still hit the Overcharge skill check while running away (I really don't understand that) but it will always pop up.
As for Gen Tapping it is exploiting the perks mechanics by removing the ability to get skill checks. Sure it takes a bit longer to do the gen as a whole and I honestly don't care when people do it but it is by definition exploiting a game mechanic.

I would love to see more short cinematics for each Killer/ respective survivor but I do not think DBD would have enough of a plot to make a full length movie.
