Yep,pretty pointless as a means of more mobility
That means that the basic idea of using the speed bottles strictly for map pressure, then quickly switching to tonic to slow people down in chase kinda fails cause you would have to reload after finding someone. If the reload is short enough, might be still possible.

Afterpiece Tonic and Antidote share the same resource. You don't have 4 bottles of each but 4 that can be either one of them
Hmm, this changes things.

@bkn said:
If it works the way i imagine it, its absolutely useless...
You still can use them as boosts for map pressure, so useless is the last thing they are. In a chase wise, we'll have to wait.
-
I'm waiting for the PTB before I say good or bad.
Could be very interesting and fun to use, or terribly useless in a chase. If we are predicting how it will work, I see trying to lure people with the speed bottles as something the devs hope players will use but may wind up being a tactic that doesn't work in game. Like Slingers intended counter being breaking loose from the chain. Never happens because the Slinger just waits for a clear shot. Survivors will probably see you chuck a speed bottle to nothing and just continue to their next pallet. (Just an example of devs wanting a killer to be played a certain way vs the actual way they're played. Not bashing devs, just how killer ideas tend to work.)
-
Hag is hilarious because almost everyone sucks at playing against her. When I get the occasional one who reacts quickly to my traps they become quite troublesome to catch. It's usually a matter of how well you react because I immediately swing out of a teleport. If you find a quick flashlight in a chest, my trap's hook pressure is basically non-existent.

Good to hear i guess, but i still would love to hear their reasoning on why they released the event in the state that it is right now.
Money. They're not going to tell you how they are a greedy corporation that already has paid dlc in a paid game.

I don’t get the appeal of it. It’s a meh perk and only really shines if someone wants to tunnel.
I’d assume some killers dislike it because it rewards going for an unsafe save and they feel like they should be able to punish it.
Exactly on that second part. Running towards the hook as I hook the survivor is the dumbest thing survivors can do. BT let's them get away with it.
-
I agree with you.
I was expecting no/very small changes and while the overheat changes SEEM to be substantial, Billy still doesn't have his add-ons back. Billy always was add on dependent, and it seems like we aren't going to be seeing those add-ons again. What happened to all the feedback on his add-ons just needing to stop stacking, not have a complete overhaul that makes the majority of them situational garbage?
-
That's a pretty big catch you got with such a bad bait.

If you can't even play the PTB why are you so convinced these changes are bad?
Streamers play the ptb, I watch them and make a judgement on that.

They will. The devs don't take feedback seriously and just do what they want. Maybe they'll do something else to distract us later but for right now this is what we get.
The sad truth.
I've been playing dbd sparingly because it's not near as enjoyable as it was around when spirit was added. I haven't bought anything since spirit because not giving them your money is the best way to show displeasure in anything. This is just further driving killer players away.

Though i wish he and huntess had a cross hair but love playing him, going against him and i do a great impersonation of his laugh lol
And I'm going to stop you right there. I play Slinger instead of Huntress for the ADS. But the big part of a skilled Huntress player (and slinger a little bit) is knowing the center of you screen. It's a matter of skill, like a similar debate on a particular forum thread on versing a certain chainsaw killer. 🤔

The difference is that Billy was a noob stomper. Same as old Doc and old Freddy. Deathslinger will never be a noob stomper. Hillbilly never goes against rank 1s because he never pips.
That's the major problem with devs making new killers/balancing in general. I'll admit my bias here that I don't care much for the low ranks.
Yes, the game needs new players to enjoy the game, but nerfing killers instead of letting survivors learn (Or maybe making something to help them learn) the mechanic is simply the easier way. But as @ScottJund says, BHVR has a pretty difficult job of figuring out how to balance a asymmetrical game for multiple skill levels, so it should probably be expected that they choose the easy route.
Ofc people do take advantage of the ranking system not awarding insta-downs as full chases, but Billy isn't the problem, the ranking system is in this case. So going back to his nerf, it's the wrong reaction to a different problem.

Uhm but the devs are the ones whom issued it?
Seriously, how has your experience been with Billy recently?
You going to go after Slinger next cause he's a distance-denial killer with no map pressure?

@Mushwin was merely thanking the devs for listening. They do listen.
To the wrong people.

Depends on if they move/rework some add-ons.
For example, Depth Gauge Take is going from uncommon (yellow) to very rare (purple), and if you have 30 of them right now, you will have 30 of them after the update.
Doctor's new Iridescent Queen add-on replaced a common add on. (Don't know which.) Same thing here, except new add on name.
So yes, you keep your add-ons in your situation.

Did you really have to restart this ######### show?

They dont need. Solo needs buff. Its easy and boring to play against people that play wthout knowing what they doing. Solo needs to have comms.
I'm agreeing with you on changing killers. I also agree that the way the game should be balanced is direct communication between survivors. If personal experiences have any worth I definitely get those cases of bad mm. I can usually pick up mid game that these survivors just don't belong here (chase skill wise).

Who said that killers should be nerfed?
That's the general assumption. It's of course the crazy matchmaker we have rn. I'm just wondering how someone gets tired of winning, unless the games are too easy. Mine don't feel too easy.
-
Sucks cause I actually want it on my phone but it's apparently incompatible with my device. Guess it's too old/ weak to run it. Darn.
-
Remove/rework keys before touching moris. These are both equivalent in the fact that they both allow early wins for both sides when the other side may have a advantage. Like the devs will do anything about any of these.

I always do snap out of it.
It's the team that's trying to save people constantly when the killer is camping. I can't communicate with them to tell them he's camping do gennys.
If you are done with the survivors, try killer. I can't stand random teammates.
Random question, did you get introduced to DBD through Ohmwrecker? He's the only streamer who says genny.

How is your ability to slug and knock people down so fast OK? Why should it not be possible to get survivor objectives done fast if you can do the same? It’s not fair for survivors. How about you don’t have ebony Mori’s that rob survivors of playtime. Or they slow down hook timers so it’s not worth camping them anymore? You gotta think it needs to feel fair for survivors too
Survivors dying fast are several survivors making several large mistakes and a killer capitalizing on it. The example video shows how unpreventable gens are in the early game.
-
I think it's some kind of interference from the entity. I like @Mikeadatrix idea. Billy could be tricked to seeing his parents in the survivors as he didn't seek out people to kill unless in a blind rage. then again, Billy is always in a blind rage.
-
Low tier get stomped on, high tier are untouchable in a good position.
-
I'd rather run M&A cause you have 2 meters between your TR and range of your gun. If his TR is weird this would make it weirder.
-
You sound like a new player learning how to face doc. Make sure to snap out of it when in Tier 3 to stop random screams, and get hooks when he's occupied. If he camps it, don't save. Don't mean to demean your opinion, it just sounds like you could use more time facing him

@TheLastGreatStar said:
In all seriousness though, you just need to practise. You can still win a match regardless of what the survivors perks are. You win some. You lose some. It’s just how it is. However, hooking is definitely not useless. If all the gens are popping before you get your first down, that just means you need to get better at chasing / downing. But that’ll come with time. Just don’t give up or you’ll never improve. This was a match I had last night against some of those perks you mentioned. This isn’t to brag, it’s just to show you that matches with perks like those are still winnable.
A fellow console slinger. Still learning, any good console specific tips?
-
Can't perform 12 hooks? Just do 4. Snowballing/4 man slugging is the main meta for killers now. Simple and sucks.
-
When I played dbd, hag was basically my main. Everyone talks about her being "boring" because of the trap play style, but I definitely enjoyed a relaxing hag game.
You just walk around, trap some loops, and start chasing people into those traps. Yes, dbd being the unpolished game it is makes things a bit frustrating teleporting wise.
She has ups and downs, she definitely feels the gens if survivors give a crap, so you fall back on a snowball play style. I guess some consider this "camping". It's a defensive killer, I'm going to defend. However, those who struggle with chasing as hag probably don't understand how to be offensive with her.

Ever met a survivor intentionally get himself killed once he could escape? It's such an rare even we dont even have killer's demanding to be handed those pity kills. While survivors....
Actually I was given a free kill at a exit gate. Once.

@Peanits said:
Odds are you dropped the pallet a little early. You'll get the stun points, but the game won't stun the killer because they're currently in another animation. We tried queuing up the stun so it would happen after the pickup animation finished, but it came with a lot of negative feedback so the change was reverted.
You didn't need to remind us of THAT patch.
-
Hag is literally falling apart and it's amazing.
-
I would like to see what the devs could come up with for an "ending", but I don't need it.

@joshuashep22 said:
Ah yes... my old and still favourite perk was butchered ruthlessly by the game development anyone else remember when it was a god tier perk? These days if you use mettle of man you will likely end up getting yourself killed trying to get protection hits that don't even register.
It wasn't "god tier", it was broken. No work was required except to fail at being chased 3 times so you can fail a 4th with little consequence. (The arua reading was minor and when used late game didn't have any drawback.) TBH if protection hits actually worked consistently the perk would be in a ok spot. It's nerf requiring a survivor to work for it wasn't underserved.
-
Considering all players play the match perfectly, survivors win.
-
I don't see how hard it would be when the community makes the music for them. TheHe spirit music would be amazing.
-
Hag, spirit, and plague, are technically all undead, so I don't see why not. However we kinda already have these characters so what could you do differently?
-
Double blood points is something I can't miss on most killers. Hag is the exception because of how I play her means I don't use the aura. Aura reading is a great.

It takes 2.9 seconds to break a pallet this way.
By comparison it takes 2.7 seconds to break it manually.
So it's not a build it Spirit Furry. It's a built in Space Bar.
The reason this is a buff is because it forces an early drop and won't waste the demogorgons time with having to hit the pallet AND break the pallet.
Also you need to reach the pallet within 5 seconds, not 2.9 so you should have plenty of time to find something.
Math is amazing.
Billy has a 2.5s rev as well as the last cool down. He's much slower at breaking the pallet then if Billy broke it at the exact same time. @Torquespin

If possible I'd rather see a dedicated game health chapter. New killers just add to the pile of possible things to fix.

It took you guys 3 years to solve this stupid issue.
IKR they seriously were using the AVERAGE rank. SMH why would you have mm swf use an average and not the highest? This is actually a huge change to finally stop high rank bullies. Sad it took so long.

I'm in school and waiting for patch notes so I can see if they touched demigogogogon negativity. I'm not about to buy the $12 dlc if the devs prove they can't keep strong killers strong. (He isn't even that strong. Like low high at best.) However, other than that I can't wait.
