why cant you seem to acknowledge how situational it is. that build won't matter if you are hooked, uninjured and doing gens. this is like saying any means neccesary is a great perk because its possible to double stun a killer. you need all 9 planets perfectly aligned on a blue moon night in a leap year to pull that off consistently. instead of being in denial you can try to bounce this idea off of others and flesh it out more because calling people rank 20s when they dont agree with you is pretty lame imo
can't wait to see your reaction when a swf squad uses the perk optimally, see you at rank 20
-
why doesn't anyone seem to realise that it can increase your self heal and unhook speed by 54%? are you guys just not reading what it does?
-
i forgot i was talking to a bunch of rank 20 players who don't realise that people stay injured at high ranks my bad.
-
so can someone actually answer my question.
-
if the killer is going to be the alchemist and someone rather important in the lore I would imagine the new survivor will have some kind of importance as well, perhaps Benedict baker somehow.
-
judging by his short stature and his previous status as a survivor it wouldn't be surprising if he could vault pallets like a survivor as a part of his power.
-
the argument on seeing fnaf posted everyday is a lame excuse due to other posts about the small pp build are posted daily as well

I just love it when the simple minded dbd community do a single google search and see a topic that says "fnaf is a cash grab and the community is awful" then use that as a simple excuse for him not to be in the game, and to prove how ignorant the dbd community can be some of the two common arguments against him are: "we have never seen him move" *fnaf 3 vr wants to know you location* "there is no survivor to base off of* in recent teases we see a female guard who seems to be the protagonist of a new fnaf game, TL;DR: don't make arguments that hold no weight and do your research.

I love how your number 2 suggestion is literally "I have to compensate so hard my small pp build isn't enough".
here before the thread floods with more triggered killer mains like this.

Comment number 29097 of random useless people adding absolutely nothing to a conversation. Boooooooring....

among the clutter, a few salty wiseass killer mains seem to have missed the point so to reiterate what I was try to say is that penalty is actually bad for the game and having it actually benefits survivors as well because they can just hook suicide and the killer can't dc when they get matched up with an swf bully squad unless they want a dc penalty

Hmm... sounds like a test is in order lol
I just tested it and it works, only one pwyf token was consumed, I got 2 disconnects lol well at least you have more ideas for video content
-
@SpaceCoconut said:
pwyf tokens are consumed every time you use a chainsaw token if I'm correct so it's very temporary.
Unless I'm missing something with the new tuning guide.
The carburettor tuning guide uses all tokens immediately so that should mean only 1 "attack" right?
-
why is everyone so against this? let's debunk some arguments:
1- "it's a cash grab" every dlc has been a cash grab *cough* mettle of man *cough* the point is it's no different from other dlc's.
2-"it's a game for kids" it was adapted to be that way but if you do some research you will find that it is/was an adult horror game at it's core.
3-"but the age rating! and the community is toxic! first of all take a look at the age rating of stranger things and second of all the dbd community is just as bad if not worse.
4-"fnaf is a c tier horror with a small/cult following" just because you don't like it doesn't make it bad, and the following is rather large for an indie game, there was a time when fnaf was bigger then dbd.
5-"scott cawthon is greedy and a bad person" you need to do some research if you think this, but to be fair everyone against fnaf doesn't seem to even do any research which really says a lot.
-
It's a great idea to have a fnaf chapter but the majority of the toxic dbd community is unironically complaining about the fnaf community
-
the amount of triggered killer mains ion this post is both disappointing and amusing, camping and tunnelling is a legitimate strategy sure but why should killers be rewarded for such a scummy strategy that sucks almost all fun from the game, if you camp and tunnel then don't complain when survivors use bt, ds, keys, deliverance, unbreakable and adrenaline
-
I never said it was op but being able unbreakable infront of the killer with no downside seems pretty strong to me, even more so if you can use it multiple times
-
If deep wound is it's own health state then why can I use dead hard while I'm in that state? dead hard specifically states injured and therefore shouldn't work
-
@MadArtillery said:
Ya anyone who doesn't see the potential is crazy. Seriously there are so many times as survivor I've wished I could protect my hard fought center gen from endless pops. I'll probably be running this perk quite frequently as I tend to go for the more risky gens early to get them out of the way. I expect it to be atleast somewhat meta.
Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well, jokes aside I love the perk
-
@Dreamnomad said:
I don't agree with how you want it buffed, but I agree that it should be. There is room for the perk to be useful without being over or underpowered. Like here is an idea. My main beef with the perk is that you are wasting a ridiculous amount of time not working on generators or being useful to your team trying to build up the tokens. The payoff is not worth it. But if some of that lost time was mitigated then it might be worth using. So for example, if there was a secondary effect that healed yourself after taking a protection hit while being outside of a chase for 45 seconds then it might be fair.
Fair enough some people agree and some disagree I think your concept is quite good.
-
In DBD's current state I think they could finally bring back the whole hooks don't respawn thing and then at least killers won't complain about survivors gen rushing anymore

DS works against Killers that aren't tunneling
There are a few adjustments that need to be made
-
The purpose of decisive strike is to punish tunneling killers so if no one tunnels it is a wasted perk slot
-

oof... I think that would be a bit too painful and make it too powerful.
Only to those who tunnel

Oh I hope hes brutally amazing, but even if hes complete trash I'd buy him on day 1.
I hope that one of his ultra rare add ons allow him to Mori survivors on the spot like myers can
-
The main thing that worries me is that he will end up like ghostface and be nerfed to oblivion not only that but I imagine his power to be more of a gimmick like using dead lights as an alternate sacrifice method or looking like another killer until you hit the surivors

Yeah, if they dont want people to think things, and make assumptions, deleting posts that are connected to said assumptions is a bad way to do it.
Like, you guys followed Stephen King on twitter like a week after IT 2 came out. After following bruce campbell and netflix for 2 of the last 3 releases.
You REALLY didnt expect people to talk?
I agree after the leaks with ghostface a leak of this caliber would not surprise me
-
It's almost confirmed at this point so why did they dig their grave deeper and delete people's posts like they are hiding it.
-
@Peanits said:
Strictly speaking, no. It's an exhaustion perk, so you always need to consider how much you could be doing with another exhaustion perk. You could probably do more with a well timed Dead Hard.
But that aside, it's fun, and it's a good way to extend on tiles like jungle gyms. The scratch marks will cause enough confusion for it to activate, and then you can get your distance back once you stun the killer. I wouldn't say it's terrible, but it's also not your best option for an exhaustion perk by any means.
The gods have spoken head on is not a good perk.
-
@easports said:
Yes it does
Thank you

Okay so this discussion has become quite the argument but mettle of man is so underwhelming I have good Intentions all I wanted was for mettle of man to buffed or reworked into something useful I understand an extra hit can be overwhelming on the killers side but decisive strike does the same thing and stuns the killer for 5 seconds so it cannot be that bad.
-

Which is a terrible idea... Your perks should never be deemed worthless because your teammate decided to equip a perk.
It is a very heated topic but perhaps you could add some kind of bonus if you are not the obsession like immunity to the exposed status effect or something
-
@BlueFang said:
There's just too much bad stuff associated with that idea. Allowing only one person to access it is going to create a lot of anger and resentment among survivors, it'll be the final perfect perk for the second chance meta like it used to be, and overall the perk's whole third hit state is just dumb
Mettle of man was busted from the start I am just salvaging an otherwise useless perk but making sure that killer mains don't get punished to much also you can easily just bring a green Mori and kill the obsession
-
@Pigster said:
If only the obsession can use MoM, this would be a great way to change it. It would mainly punish tunneler. So i like it.😄👍 But the aura readable after using should stay, its matches so good with the evil dead movies.
i had also an own idea: revert it but survivor who used it get additional broken for the game, so it wouldnt be really an extra health state, ok with aura readable a bit evil, but its the evil dead, isn't ? 😄
Good idea maybe the broken status effect would be similar to deliverance like 100/80/60 seconds or something.

The old decisive strike had benefit to everyone running it though...
Yep but mettle of man does not this means that if you are not the obsession or you do not have decisive strike you waste a perk slot
-
@LordGlint said:

Are you saying the obsession would be the only one who would benifit from this perk? That the perk would do literally nothing at all if you equip it but you ARNT the obsession?
Yes it would be a very risky perk to run similar to the old decisive strike it seems reasonable considering the benefits it comes with
-
Don't get me wrong guys a free hit can screw up a killer's momentum but this way killer's can counter it by avoiding the obsession I made it obsession only so that you counter it and so that it benefit's solo queue survivors more than swf
