Much like this Hag here I prefer my bait to be placed somewhere in the open ready for point hungry survivors to come running for a taste. Tie it to a nice Haunted Grounds and you got yourself a "one slap trap" to success.

You notice something?First off his/her comment was for fun, saying the change doesn't affect his/her game play because he/she doesn't use exhaustion perks.
Second your example is taking it to the utmost extreme in an attempt to push your narrative of the situation.
At least try to think before letting your emotions control your writing.

Actually he used "newbie" not "noobie" both have a different definition. The meaning of "newbie" is someone new to the game/situation at hand. I have to agree that new players are more likely to feel like leaving rather than saving someone, I just don't believe its the only reason why people make the choice.
Last I checked (to be fair, that was a very long time ago), they're simply alternate spellings of the same word and with the same meaning.
pretty sure noob is just a slang for new person and newb was also a slang and because people love slang we accepted both of them and now those to lazy to type newb now just double tap o for a simpler spelling noob mostly just comes down to lazyness
Same here, but then again, I am quite old, in Internet terms.
same though i hate all these new phrases ive said oof for a long time now that its a meme people think i just jumped on the bandwagon and its really annoying also just using the term jumped on the bandwagon reveals im not from this era
Yeah considering I grew up in an age of dial up internet and Nintendo Power magazines I too find it difficult to keep up with internet "slang".

Here is the definition I got off Urban Dictionary:
TOP DEFINITION
Noobs vs. Newbs
This is meant to distinguish between noobs and newbs, which can be very difficult to tell apart, based on behavior.
NOOBS: Rely on cheap tactics to barely finish second-to-last on the team, and often blame others for their mistakes.
Noobs have no ambition to get better at the game they fail at, and are happy just pissing off the rest of us.
COMMUNICATING WITH NOOBS: Is not a good idea. The vast majority of encounters often end with noobs being brutal flamed in the pre-game lobbies, as noobs are unintelligent and slow-thinking. Any attempt to communicate with noobs is immediately met with a pre-set list of insults, such as "Shut the ######### up", "You wanna go one-on-one?", "I could ######### you", etc.
NEWBS: Honest, humble, polite players who strive to better themselves by playing as a team and seeking the advice of others. Newbs are new to the game, so they don't know, and, when confronted after using noob tactics, apologize for their behavior and immediately cease all noob activity.
COMMUNICATION WITH NEWBS: One of the most pleasant conversations ever on Xbox Live/Playstation Network. When you start talking to them, you realize they are different from noobs, and that they are sorry for their behavior. -

To be frank, I was quite disappointed that they didn't give every survivor (non-licensed) an outfit for this year's Halloween event. Also regarding the outfits, I feel like they should be more "Halloween" themed y'know? A few of my ideas as an example:
- Kate in an Alice in Wonderland outfit- David in some sort of superhero costume
Lemme know what you think in the comments
I would have loved more survivor cosmetics (killer ones were great though) but it would be tough to make anything too akin to a licensed character. It would have to be something inspired by Alice in Wonderland or inspired by a specific superhero. I don't think DBD wants to spend a fortune on skins when their artistic team probably has some great ideas in the oven.

Ok I'll finally admit that Hag is worse then Billy.... AT BASE... Nurse and Billy are the only killers with viable bases. Wait scratch that there's Spirit too isn't there? So can everyone suggest a buff idea for other killers to have viable bases? I got one for Hag, Wraith and Spirit that makes them equal to or better than Nurse.
Hag - 60m teleporting distance, and the range addons are nerfed so they will give the same values as they do rn. This would make Hag have one of the best bases in the game but not as strong as the next killers. Btw that buff to her would actually make me want to play Hag since I've ran out of range addons and the 40m isn't good enough. Nurse travels 32 in just 2 blinks.Wraith- 1.5 second windstorm, remove the windstorm addons and add his purple windstorm speed buff into his base. Pretty simple, he'll destroy teams and will probably be second best after Spirit.
Spirit- No cooldown, she can use her power whenever she wants. This makes her the best killer lol.
Don't take this seriously this was made for fun ^^ people pls suggest killer buffs to make them have better bases then Nurse. I'm interested to see what people would like.
Not stirring up trouble but I fail to see why people think so highly of Hag. Sure she sets traps faster and her range is a little better than before but she plays nearly identically to her early days. Urban evasion still counters her traps and even a yellow flashlight can destroy her power with ease. Personally I don't think Hag can touch Billy

Lots of people don't pay attention to placement and care only to add gen pressure. Honestly if you have a coordinated team and still have at least 3 people alive it isn't too hard to get a gen during a 3 gen lock-down.
I play solo when playing survivor and at rank 1 I find most (definitely not all) teammates have enough common sense to work it out.
The only time I would say a 3 gen lock-down is near impossible to beat is against the Doctor simply because madness 3 takes away what little time you have to work on gens by forcing you to "snap out of it" and his range (especially if using Sniper-build Doctor) makes it tough to get work done.

I know this might generate comments such as “git gud” and such haha, but playing as a survivor gets you so much less than a killer. Surviving and doing good nets you like 15k max, dying and doing good about 10k. Doing bad still less. Being a bad killer gets you at least 20k though and it keeps going up if you do good. I feel playing as a survivor is such a chore if you want to get serious bloodpoints, it makes more sense to just spam play the killer. I feel they should increase/add a reward for straight up finishing the game, or split it between completing the game and the struggle phase (to discourage intentional suicides)...thoughts?The difference in Killer Bloodpoints vs Survivor Bloodpoints is due to item/add-on economy. Survivors can get free items from the match by grabbing something a fellow teammate dropped or using perks to get both the item and add-ons. Killers do not have this option and can only buy there add-ons from the bloodweb. Since the Killer is forced to spend more BP than a survivor, they are rewarded more BP as a way to compensate this economic discrepancy.

You trolling little survivors, I'll smack your precious toolboxes, medkits and especially your flashlights out of your teabagging little hands.Be warned!!!

A fun gimmick to do with Franklin's (won't win you games but will win you a few scares) is to use Insidious with your build. Once you knock a item from a survivors hand you can later go back and hide out of sight near the item, because lets face it everyone goes back for what they drop.
I have had so many good jump-scares with Billy/Leatherface as the small "pick up" animation forces them to watch that chainsaw rev up from out of no-where and the sudden unorganized panic run always puts a smile on my face.

@Poweas
As mistar_z said the map is rather large with loads of foliage. The map itself is on par in terms of how many pallets spawn per match but due to its size, visibility (foliage/rocks) and still relatively new layout it seems to have less than maps we have played countless times. After you get a bit more experience with the map itself you will be able to pick out typical pallet spawn locations with ease. -

So i was body blocked in the basement after saving a survivor and we were both body blocked in the stairs for 20 min. Had to back out and lost 2 rank progression. Is there a way to escape this?Although body blocking to wait out the possibility of Borrowed Time is fine, what you described was the killer holding the game hostage. This is reportable in game and is not something that is/should be tolerated.
-
There have been more posts than I can shake my stick at regarding this topic. One of the more prevalent suggestions (aside from the usual "remove SWF" ranting) has been to make the "matchmaking" based off the highest ranked SWF and not take into account the lower rank friends.

Fill her hair with cobwebs and tiny spiders and make her hand like spider fangs or something. We've gotten a medusa hag so how about a spider hag?
Found this image someone made.
I guess its "inspired" by hag and the concept of a spider-esq killer. -

So I play survivor, and I have always had a problem with one thing I do near the endgame.
Leaving my teammates to die. If I feel like I have no other option, I will leave my teammates behind if they have been downed and are on a hook. My teammates have told me "Just let him kill you and save me." or things like that.
Is this okay if there is no other option that involves both of us escaping? For the most part, I have to look after #1...Others have already answered your question but might I add that often I don't want someone to try and save me. I've played this game since release and have almost everything maxed/unlocked so I just mess around in matches now. One of my more common builds is meant to be hyper "savior" focused so I will often sacrifice myself to see others escape. For this reason I've been placed on a hook plenty of times where I will then try and buy time while being patrolled near or possibly face camped. The problem I often see is that people don't take me saving them as a gift and instead throw it away trying to save me from impossible odds. LEAVE ME TO DIE PLEASE!

i made this because i got pissed at the game after losing 7 games in a row against mikes (there is a huge mike spike on ps4). i do this type of thing a lot where i say somethings op when im in a bad mood. i dont think mike needs nerfing. and yes i can beat mikes depending on how im playing. sorry for being a bit (very) special.I only just read the other comments after posting my own but may I say that the above reason is exactly why the forums continue to be so toxic. People want to post whatever they FEEL rather than cooling off or getting facts straight. Please understand I'm not hating on you but it would be great if we could avoid "spontaneous "mood" posts" in the future.

@XxAtomicAlfiexX said:
mike needs a nerf, i think his movement speed should decrease the higher tier he is not the opposite way around, when he leaves tier 3 he should go back to tier 1 and when he goes up a tier his terror radius should increase. this would make it so survivors have a chance against mike. i'm aware that survivors have an upper hand against killers but mike is plain stupid to play against.Mike is a worst version of Hillbilly (but admittedly more fun!) He is slower than most killers when in Tier 1 and at tier 2 and 3 he walks as fast as Trapper, Wraith, billy, Doctor, etc. I think you are confused about his speed as he does not get faster in tier 3, the only thing that changes is his lunge range and he get insta down for 60 seconds. I really wish people would take the time to learn and improve their own game play before complaining something needs to be "nerfed". You clearly do not understand how Micheal even works and therefore need to first improve upon your knowledge before making any judgments about his ability to do well in a match.
In my opinion Micheal is a great "middle of the road" killer that should be a nice baseline for killer power balancing.

To clarify one might make more camping but for those wraiths that don't it can be anmoying having to unlock as soon as you cloak due to a hook rush and then losing the rescuer or them both from itProblem here is that Wraith becomes 100% invisible when standing still so it would highly incentivise face camping because a grab is almost always guaranteed.

@michaelmyers87 said:
or a survey. What does flapping ping your arms on the hook mean?
Here is the problem, during the initial release days on PC and the initial release days of console flapping your arms on a hook meant the killer was still close OR was on his way back within sight.
Once a ton of new players joined the game I think the original meaning was lost and now I have seen it used for Killers being close, Killers being far, Survivor getting impatient, survivor trying to confuse people or get attention, etc. I think it no longer holds any meaning because of how skewed the original intent has become. I often ignore the arm flapping and use my own senses to determine how safe that rescue will be.
Basically trust no one but yourself.

This shouldn't be a problem tho. Best example: cod back ops 2 on ps3. It's p2p but has a theater mode. You can watch every perspective of every player of that match any time you want to. Seriously, this Theater mode for DbD would be so damn sick. I could watch my opponent to see my mistakes, I can save pc power I'm using for recording while playing etc. I think everyone can benefit from that and since other games witb p2p have this feature long time ago BHVR should have no problems to implement such a thing
Sorry it never "tagged" me about this reply. Thanks for letting me know, I would love some sort of playback feature simply to see where different players mindsets go. I think it would also help immensely for catching people cheating, griefing, hacking, etc aside from the fun aspect it would offer.

Open Handed has the effect, that its increases your aura reading ability by 8 meters. This perk could be so much better. Just let it increases more perks and not just the aura reading ability.
Let it infect perks like Leader (16 Meters instead of 8), Boil Over (22 instead of 14), Prove Thyself, etc.
Plus maybe increase the range, but that would be so much better and I would love to run and combine that perk.I think the perk is fine......when someone else is wasting the slot for it.
The perk is powerful if a swf team has 4 of them and all running something like bond or kindred (idk if Kindred works with it since you could see the killers aura from 40 meters away) but since you are already playing in swf there is not point in wasting a perk slot for it since you are already communicating with your team at all times.
Why would SWF need this?
If you finished reading my comment you would have read that I said there isn't a reason to waste a perk slot for Open Handed in swf.
I've met some pretty uncoordinated SWF's so it can still be helpful.

Yup my comment was sarcasm as I don't find it great and if someone else is using it I still barely notice the difference. When I play survivor its 90% of the time solo and Bond is good enough.

Its also easily countered by simply 99% a door until someone gets hooked then after they are hooked you open the door and leave. I honestly find it rare to see the perk ever get activated and I play solo 90% of the time when playing survivor.Except no survivor just leaves. And if they 99% a door you will know it's not open and slug the last guy, or potentially catch someone else too. If the door isn't open they can't leave, and if you are in a chase or have someone slugged you can keep pressure on them to keep the gate closed.
We clearly have different experiences with the perk but I still find it a very "nich" pick.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
1) Adds a GUARANTEED 60 seconds to the trial once triggered.
2) Survivors never expect it and will more often be caught by surprise while being chased to the gate.
3) An open exit gate is the ultimate safe zone for survivors. Blood Warden takes that away.
4) Lets you ignore the gates to continue a chase.
5) Lets you know when a gate is open.
6) One of it's only counters, not opening the gate, still benefits you as killer since it means survivors can't escape.
7) The other only counter, escaping the trial immediately once the gate is open, is something survivors almost never do.
8) Unlike Ruin or NOED, Blood Warden can never be taken away.
9) You can threaten survivors with it up until the final moments of the trial.
10) It makes even the most experienced survivors panic. Its also easily countered by simply 99% a door until someone gets hooked then after they are hooked you open the door and leave. I honestly find it rare to see the perk ever get activated and I play solo 90% of the time when playing survivor.
