  • Thank you for posting this, my game has been crashing non-stop and it turns out my friend was running these perks.

  • So do none of us know what a side-grade is? It's not always buff or nerf. Thanatophobia changes are just gonna make it meta on Legion and Plague. Plague is obvious, either they get smacked with what will probably be changed to -30% gen speed or give you Corrupt Purge, and imagine this build on Legion.

Monitor and Abuse, Coulrophobia, Thanatophobia, and Sloppy Butcher

Iridescent Button + Random Add-On IDK

It will be literal AIDS to play against.

  • I'm 90% confident this was written after you bled to death on the ground.

  • Literally every single one of Ace's perks needs a rework, there is no reason to level up Ace other than liking the character. As for Spine Chill and Decisive being must-picks, I agree with you, high ranks solo queue is unplayable without them, just like no one would play a killer like Wraith in high ranks because Spirit and Nurse are so good, no one will play a game without Spine Chill and Decisive on high ranks because there's no reason not to, and honestly it's not health for the game at all. No matter how many new DLC's come out, they're not gonna shake up the meta until Spine Chill and DS receive changes to put them at a point where you can play a match without them. Shorten the range of Spine Chill OR remove the speed increase from it.

As for Decisive, this is a slightly more elaborate idea to change it.

Timer: 40 seconds across all tiers

If you are in a chase or downed, the timer slows down to the point where it will last a maximum of 60 seconds.

If the timer is still up, your recovery speed is increased by 5/10/20%.

I think this works out to be a somewhat healthier perk, it still functions as an anti-tunneling perk and you get the same strength as the old Decisive if you are tunneled immediately off the hook, however, if you are not in a chase, you only have 40 seconds to do whatever, which is the main issue as to why it is a must-pick, you can literally finish 3/4 of a generator in the time it takes for current Decisive to wear off. With this newer version, you won't have as much time to mess around, and if you are healed up, you will more than likely not go down fast enough to stun the killer. If you are downed and slugged to avoid DS, then you can recover faster and be ready for a teammate to help.

Actually Jeff is also body diverse, but besides that yea you right.

I always forget Jeff is a survivor lmao

Is there really anything you can do about a SWF god squad? Nerfing SWF would mean tryhards would stream snipe their friends and casuals would stop playing because they can't play with friends. The only acceptable nerf would just be changing their matchmaking. With MMR it seems that matchmaking was averaged, so me (a rank 3 survivor) was having fun with some friends (One of which was rank 4, and the others were ranks 12 and 16, so you can guess that their MMR rating wasnt that high). We kept getting poor Trappers who were on their first match and it felt awful knowing that me and the Rank 4 friend were probably going to be the reason why they never play the game again, so I faked being garbage and they killed me so they had some motivation to keep trying to play.

I should probably mention that "on their first match" was only literal for one of them, but the others were all relatively new, with the highest rank being rank 8, and since we died to them, our ratings went down, which led to more new killers. The game was boring until they disabled MMR again, I'd rather face stupidly high ranked killers as opposed to new players who don't know how to lunge.

  • Oni COULD kill Laurie Strode, but he wouldn't, he only ever went after nobles and people who called him an Oni. In his eyes, Laurie is a common village peasant and there is no merit to killing her.

  • The reason Jane is the only body diverse character is because she needed a whole new skeleton for her animations. It's expensive to make body diverse characters, which is why almost all survivors are identical to others of their same gender in terms of body shape.

Watching an interesting video Tofu made about a month ago about this sort of issue. And boy, did he nail it.

Essentially, killers are still expected to abide by an outdated code of honor, while survivors just...aren't.

If one side is going to do everything possible to win, why are killers expected not to do the same?

It would be wonderful if everyone cared more about having a fun game than winning - but that's just not the game at present. Whether it's SWF groups, smurfcomps, stompcomps, endless rounds of DS/DH/BT and at least one Blendette per game, survivors seem to want to have their cake and eat it too.

Frankly, why should I, as a killer, be expected to play by some ruleset when the other side isn't?

Camping - While sure, the argument is "It's not effective, just do gens while the person dies" it's not fun to sit there being facecamped while the killer taunts you by hitting you over and over, and it's even worse when your braindead teammates try to save you. This really only applies to Solo Queue though. It just feels demoralizing tbh.

Tunnel - To be honest, I don't mind tunneling because the survivor will usually have Decisive Strike or know how to loop if they are being tunneled, however, it is not fun to be camped AND tunneled the moment you get off, because it feels as if you have no chance to escape.

Mori - I don't see the issue with moris.

NOED - NOED is annoying, but unless you facecamp with NOED, there's not a huge issue with it.

Basically, all of these strats have one thing in common, they give no opportunity of escape for one specific survivor while practically letting all the others go. And yeah, it's stupid when the 4man claudette rank 1 p3 legacy swf is telling you how garbage you are for being on the same plane of existence as the person on the hook, but honestly, getting camped isn't as bad if the killer doesn't sit there hitting you and taunting the whole time, just like getting no escapes isn't as bad when the survivors don't sit there teabagging. Just don't rub their face in it tbh and I'm chill with it. Other than putting yourself at a disadvantage while doing these though, go for it I guess. This is coming from someone who has to deal with a SWF teammate that doesn't do generators and flashlight clicks then complains about tunneling so I don't tend to mind it tbh.

  • Instant heals were removed because it was greatly turning the game into the survivor's favor, and was really the only thing that was kept from V1.0. Bear in mind, this is the same version where there was an add on that instantly completed generators, and had instant heals. It was very much outdated, and considering medkits just got that huge buff, keeping a double instant heal would be very, very much overpowered. However, I think nerfing the anti hemorrhage syringe to 16 seconds was too much. For instant heals, I would have preferred this.

    Anti-Hemorrhage Syringe-

When used, will deplete medkit entirely.

    • Passively heals you over 12 seconds. If you go down or your health state is modified, you will still gain healing. If you are being carried by the killer or on the hook when the healing is finished, the heal will apply after you are able to move freely again (Similar to Adrenaline).

    Styptic Agent-

When used, will deplete the medkit entirely

    • Passively heals you over 24 seconds. If your health state is modified during this time, the timer will be cancelled.
  • I would recommend reporting them on Steam or whatever platform you are playing on. Steam takes Hate speech very seriously and would not let anyone get away with that.

  • There used to be a program a few years back, Make Lobbies Great Again, better known as MLGA. It was a whitelisted program that let you detect your ping and ask for a certain ping. It got it's part on the whitelist taken away after the developer made a feature like what you are describing. You could heart certain players so that you would always end up in lobbies with them if they were also queued up, and you could block certain players so you would never end up in lobbies with them. The developers said the block was not something they wanted to encourage, and it was clogging up the wait times (as many people would block killers they didn't like, making the already abysmal wait times even longer), so they removed the whitelist.

Not a fan either. I would have much more preferred emotes, gestures, individual chasemusic or mori animations.

The charms don't really fit the general artstyle and looks of DBD. But thats just my personal taste i guess. I am going to buy the Rift Pass and grind it out to max level, but just because i am a collector and completionist. Most of the skins are just recolours and the charms won't hang on my hook.

Especially the more "playful" charms! Like the Claudette Charm! How does that fit in the game at all?!

  • Well to be fair, there is some confirmed sexuality.

The Plague- Asexual (Priests and Priestesses are not allowed to be in relationships)

Huntress- Asexual (She has the mentality of a 7 year old)

Laurie Strode, Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, Quentin Smith- Heterosexual (They are all seen dating someone of the opposite sex)

Nurse and Wraith- Confirmed to be in a relationship with one another. Nurse also had a husband and wanted kids.

I really do believe some characters could be gay, it just depends on how you see them.

If you envision David as being gay, he can be gay. Sexuality doesn't make any difference in this game, hell, it's entirely possible the rose represents something in him that we don't understand.

  • He probably could lose some power, but not starve. He's pretty much a god...

The thing is, for him to starve, a lot of factors would have to come into effect.

First off, he'd have to lose his connection to our world. If he can't get new people, then he has no use in putting them in the Void...

Now on the other hand, if they stop being afraid of the entity, then their hopes of escaping increase against the killers, and he is fed. If they are not hopeful of escape, then they are sent to the Void.

Now if he sends them all to the Void, the killers have nothing to be mad at, and the Entity will probably let them start killing each other to harvest their strong emotions (Fear of death, anger at the other killers, etc)

Once those emotions are gone, he'd probably lose most of his powers.

  • Thanks for all the replies, guys! Glad to know I'm not alone in the dislike of charms. I'm gonna buy the Rift Pass but solely because I want BHVR to get enough money for better cosmetics. Similar to how Apex's first battle pass was garbage, but the second one was somewhat better. I hope the next one has cosmetics for the DLC characters, though. I was hoping for something unique for my Jane, but I understand they don't wanna make people have to buy the DLC to use somethi- Oh wait, the Lunar New Year Event...!

  • it doesn't make sense. at least in other gamemodes you can bring the splinter offerings (except for Demogorgon), but for the unlicensed characters...? What do you do? Just pray you like the killer? I stopped doing that after I bought Legion.

  • Laurie. Her hair looks SO much better.

    image.png

  • Anything for Baby Dwights.

  • Pig's literal garbage because of the devs beating her with a nerf stick...

At least mommy huntress still has some viability.

  • Idea for rework on Trapper's traps:

    1. Make it skill based. @Gibberish described a perfect mechanic, Trapper's traps are like Snap Out of It from Doctor. I'd love this change.
    2. Please buff the trap setting speed, or just built in Trapper Bag.
    3. If another survivor attempts to get you out of a trap, they have to hit 3 skill checks in quick succession.

Not only does this buff Trapper, it makes certain add-ons more viable, and for survivors, it makes the game more skill based. Currently Trapper sits at the top of D tier.

Instead you'd be less focused on "Please let me out." And more focused on "I have to hit these skill checks!"

And nice bonus, indirect buff to Unnerving Presence.

  • Got called a hacker for playing Myers.

"You hakked how did u insta down reported gg ez bans"

  • This is the reason why MLGA (Make Lobbies Great Again) was bannable. There was a feature that could let you block certain people so you don't have to face them. The devs don't want to encourage that behavior.

  • My issue with this, and don't get me wrong, is that it's punishing people for just wanting to hang out with their friends and bond over a game. Yeah, there's sweaty Survive With Friends, but there's also people who just want to play the game with friends. Take a YouTuber/Streamer called Zet0r for example. He and his friends almost never use Survive With Friends to be toxic, they just play the game through the highs and lows. Survive With Friends would also punish solo survivors with this debuff. Let's say you queue solo survivor and get matched with a 3-man survive with friends, no toolboxes, rank 20, so they're bad at skill checks, but they're just a few Baby Dwights trying to enjoy the game. Then you as a solo survivor are getting punished, because let's be honest, Rank 20's have trouble with Skill Checks, and the additional wait time because of Survive With Friends means the match will take forever. The Survive With Friends won't understand why the Survive With Friends debuffs are in action, as their innocent minds have not yet seen Sweaty Survive With Friends, and in some cases, may just outright stop playing the game because they can't play with friends or they'll get punished for it. This isn't a problem just at rank 20, mind you. Even at high ranks survivors are almost always Survive With Friends, and still, the Solo Survivors will be miserable because of their teammates not being able to complete generators, heal them (Especially with Coulrophobia and Distressing builds), and Survive With Friends will be miserable because they will in theory become worse teammates, and we can't forget THIS.

New Perk - Borrowed Time "This perk is very interesting for altruistic players. It's going to allow you to shield yourself when doing a specific action. With Borrowed Time, you can go save a survivor while in the terror radius of the killer, and at that moment, Borrowed Time will activate for you and the survivor on the hook. When you get hit by the killer, rather than being damaged, you will enter a timer, where you can keep standing up.

Remember that, all those years ago? When Bill came out, with his perk, Borrowed Time, it was beyond powerful. Because of this, many killers went on "strike" and stopped playing the game. We cannot let history repeat itself, and Survive With Friends may go on "strike" until the changes are removed from the game.

I think a survive with friends indicator for other survivors would be nice, so when a survive with friends joins the survivors (not the killer, lest lobby dodging could become popular) will receive this notification.

"Hello, Survivor. A Survive With Friends has just joined your lobby, they will suffer from a slight action debuff depending on how many of them are in the lobby. Currently there are X players, so they will receive a X% penalty on action speeds."

Another change I saw you bring up was Coulrophobia, Thanatophobia, and Dying Light.

Dying Light has very large penalties, so reworking Dying Light would be in order, because it is a very flawed perk at its base. It encourages tunneling, is easily neglected by DS, and makes the game miserable for survivors because they can't do anything about it once the penalties occur.

To make things easy for myself, I will give a summary "rework" for Dying Light.

    Dying Light

You become obsessed with a Survivor.

Your obsession's altruistic actions speeds are increased by 10/15/20%.

For everytime you hook your obsession, gain a token.

For Each token, survivors suffer a 2.5/5/7.5% debuff to all action speeds.

If Survivors are in a Survive with Friends, half of the penalty will stack.

Coulrophobia doesn't need a rework, but similar idea, half the penalty stacks to Coulrophobia, and Thanatophobia isn't really all that much of a problem is the penalty is decreased to 10/15/20% for Survive With Friends, because let's be real here, no one uses Thanatophobia after the nerf.

I don't think Survive With Friends should be punished, but instead the experience should be more fun for killers and solo survivors, so maybe a Survive With Friends rework should be thought about to make it more fun for killers, but maybe a band-aid fix could be made such as.

"Killers will gain +25% Bloodpoints at the end of the trial if a survive with friends was active in the trial."

  • @Mat_Sella said:

They should just add UI in the lobbies so you can see what [ perks/items/add-ons ] your teammates have. This would fix multiple issues with miscommunication from solo survivor's and will let people that run certain perks such as Wake Up! to actually have better usage out of their perks.

Literally the most perfect idea I've ever seen, now we know if someone's planning on Sandbagging (Seeing Sole Survivor and WGLF is enough to put 2 and 2 together and realize their plans), as well as helping perks like Wake Up!, We'll Make It, Plunderer's Instinct, Borrowed Time, and Ace In The Hole.

Wake up just take three seconds off of a gate, how useful is it for you?

Well the other survivor and I could've used those 3 seconds to escape, but instead because he didn't know I was running the perk he demanded to open the gate and died, as well as dooming other survivors on the map to not know where to go to find a perfectly open gate.

Playing killer was a pain in the ass before, but now, they managed to [BAD WORD] up the experience even more.

Just wanted to leave some feedback about the new "graphics".

I swear, I get so annoyed with the new Auras, they are so blurry I was only able to tell that someone was being killed by the new killer by the Achille's Tendon Yank. Other than that, I was convinced they were being healed or something.

  • With the exception of Susie, this seems like a valid argument. Susie didn't seem to want to get into killing at first, but she became evil fast, but I would say that Michael is still holding the title of most evil, right behind him I would say Legion, Freddy, or Pig.

The main reason might be the reason why Fallout removed the ability to kill kids: Controversy and potential bans in certain countries.

Try to justify yourself as a company that lets kid be playable as survivors and explain they get hooked on hooks and can be mori'd, which vary from cannibalism to slashing and chainsawing.

You have to consider, in the long run the devs are the entity.

Plus there might be kids, but always keep in mind that the entity has several realms and we're just playing one of them, so there is a possibility in another realm there are kids, but it's less likely for us to ever see that unless it's done as a killer.

again like I said many times before. I can see the justification, but i'm talking lore wise not gameplay wise.

That IS lore, you're just being stubborn at this point. We're pointing out all the flaws but you're calling them gameplay mechanics. There's probably kids somewhere in the Entity's Realms, we're only in one of the potential thousands of realms. He's feeding off of our hope. He does not WANT us to lose hope, he does not WANT the killer to feel that this is easy. He wants to absorb the killer's rage and the survivor's desperation. Children would be useless to him, hope is not a thought in their mind when Michael Myers shows up, or Freddy Krueger, what if they heard he was a pedophile?
Children would be too hard to add, would make no sense lore-wise, and they would destroy the game's popularity, making it feel less realistic in the sense that there are many people in the Entity's realm.
In fact, the Entity might be able to pull multiple of the same person into a single trial... Imagine, everyone in the trial is playing as a kid, and they would have to stay away from Little Girls. That is the Huntress' only exception when it comes to killing. They would NOT make sense to be in the game, also, what would their perks be, they can't just bootleg Leader and call it hopebringer or something like that. Not much a child CAN do. Children don't often know how to heal severe injuries like an ax to the back? They would not make sense to be in the Entity's Realm. If the devs added children in the game, it would get worldwide bans, make no sense lore-wise, be hard to add gameplay-wise, etc.
Please, don't try to force the devs into adding a child into the game and slow down the game's development. If they did, you'd see the same toxic killer over and over again and you'd always have to play against that player, or you would see the same toxic survivor who DCs when they get hooked, therefore leaving it to the rest of your team to get 5 generators done.

Not a loop, actually. If you die the entity takes you to the Void, where you sit there since it has no further purpose for you, you have given all your hope. If you survive, you return to the campfire and wait for your next trial. The loop only occurs if you survive.

Wrong. If you die, you go back to the campfire. If you survive, you go back to the campfire. If you become desensitized and stop having strong emotional reactions She can feed on, then you go to the Void.

The official wiki says they only return upon escape, and judging on the fact that the survivors all the sudden stop struggling, it kind of seems like they've given up hope. Quote.
"It is a place to which the Survivors return upon escape, awaiting their next trial."
I may be wrong about that part, and you may return the the Campfire when you die.
Also, Moris support the fact that when you are hooked you are put in the void and the emotions are sucked out of you, since the entity rewards the killer less if they outright kill the survivor, and if you are killed, how are you supposed to return to the campfire afterwards?
The only other piece of evidence I can think of right now is the old intro.
    Almost every survivor gets hooked.
The protagonist of the intro runs through the area, and she sees one survivor who seems to be resembling Jake, or maybe Dwight, trapped in a trap, Protagonist leaves him behind and runs into the basement where we see someone who could be a different version of Claudette? The protagonist herself seems to be based off of Meg. She hides in the locker and the killer finds her. This heavily implies she was hooked since no one had Decisive Strike at the same and there were hooks less than 5 meters away. The other guy? Like a trapper would leave a free meal out to dry, he got hooked and that's how Meg was able to even have a moment to find the basement. The person on the hook... That's kind of obvious.
Sorry if this is a bit of a stretch, but I think all 3 of these survivors were killed and the other survivor may have been Vigo or Benedict Baker and escaped (Benedict because he literally says he's escaped through the hatch in a journal entry) via the hatch. The reason I was relating them all to our current original 3 survivors was because of the fact that they might have been the ones who taught our Original 4 how to use certain perks.
Benedict or Vigo could substitute for Dwight (Both seem to be somewhat team players), which means they taught Dwight the skill Leader before disappearing to another realm, or possibly getting caught in their own trial and going into the Void, the latter being more likely considering Benedict seems to be losing most of his hope to escape the trial, but Vigo seems to be more likely to have disappeared somewhere else considering it's probably him in the Hallowed Blight, or that could be Benedict again.
The protagonist is obviously based off Meg, she runs practically everywhere and seems to display Sprint Burst at the start of the chase.
The woman on the hook appears to have some sort of knowledge based on just general appearance.
The man who got trapped could be Jake since he displays signs of Iron Will (He barely screams).
Possibly these people were older survivors who got sacrificed and put in the void and the person who isn't seem escaped via hatch like I said before. Maybe they taught the teachable perks to the original 4 survivors?
    Update on original post:
After reading through Wiki looking for more evidence that when you die you get put in the Void, I found out that the Entity doesn't care about the killers too much either. It even tries to anger the killer by placing Pallets, taking Laurie even though she has Decisive Strike, and splitting the hooks apart so the survivor has hope to escape and the killer is enraged by their constant wiggling.
The offerings support this theory as well, if they give him a certain offering, he will put Survivors at an advantage, making them feel hopeful that they can possibly escape.
    Just a theory ;)

There is one quote of Benedict Baker in his journal that proves the whole if you die you don't die forever but return to the campfire theory "With each "death" I feel myself weaken, a little piece of my soul devoured by the darkness before I awake." To your question of how would people return if they are moried/die on the hook it is probably like this: If they die their vision is fading black and they awake at the campfire as if they had slept.

Thanks for the correction, I'll try to look into more of the diary entries. But yeah, after a certain amount of deaths the survivor might still just be slapped in Da Void, considering he said "a little piece of my soul devoured by the darkness."

  • There's the problem. The entity does not WANT you to lose hope. He wants you to keep your hope so he can feed off of it and get stronger. If you lose hope, it's a waste of his time and your life. The entity doesn't care about your life, but he wants someone who can survive very well and keep their hope intact. Why do you think he chose people like Kate? Who is an optimist who never loses hope, she was an easy target out in the woods and she could NOT lose hope too fast. He wants to feed off of your hope and get stronger.

Does the killer choose who to take with them? Is it just random ?Or is it much more sinister ?!!

Not a loop, actually. If you die the entity takes you to the Void, where you sit there since it has no further purpose for you, you have given all your hope. If you survive, you return to the campfire and wait for your next trial. The loop only occurs if you survive.

    leave them.

I never hold a grudge over someone leaving me to die after the gates are opened.

I also rarely go back in for a hooked survivor. sometimes, yes, but I survive so few of my rounds that if I get the chance to bolt... I probably will.

only circumstances where I WILL go back :

    • I've already got enough bloodpoints to pip.
    • that particular person saved me at their own risk.
    • the killer is obviously not camping them
    • the killer has shown a lack of skill that pretty much guarantees a safe unhook and both of our escape.

    that's it... otherwise, I'm out.

That part where you said they saved you at their own risk...
That reminds me of this one Dwight I played with as Feng, I forget which killer we were against, and after one other person died, he became altruistic to the very end. Meg over here is able to escape, and just as I'm getting the gate open, Dwight leads the killer towards me thinking the gates almost open. I use Lithe to escape and go back as Dwight takes the aggro while I get the gate opened. He ends up getting downed and hooked, and I realize "I can't save him." So I leave.
Meg calls me a jerk for leaving him behind after he saves me, even though she bolted the second he started getting attacked.

  • May I also add towards those who say DS is OP.
Just dribble. Treat me like a basketball, I do not care. That is a legitimate strategy.
The hooks are literally 2 feet apart from each other, so just dribble me.

It may have been in the game 2 years some people have not had the game that long somebody in another thread bought it 3 months ago.

Just because ppl keep on buying the chapter that doesnt mean a broken thing should stay broken forever.

It isn't broken, it was made to do what it is intended to do. People just got really good at the game.

Helps punish the people who think it's a good idea to tunnel the Claudette for the entire game because she's running Botany Knowledge with We'll Make It.

Why do the really stupid threads get so much attention and the really well thought out ones fizzle out in a few hours?

    Answer:

    Millennials.

I've been triggered!!! Kidding. Maybe. No one engages unless they can hold their own, and anyone can talk about dumb #########.

But, for seriously, why has no one mentioned that "correlation does not equal causation". Like, maybe the killer decided to go make a damn sammich just as this guy switched to laurie, but instead the OP wants to pretend that he's frustrated by having the power to force a killer out of a lobby by simply switching to a character that could have decisive strike. No effing killer cares if someone plays as laurie, most likely the killer was just annoyed that you bish ass survs weren't readied up.

I just joined the lobby, we were still waiting for a fourth survivor, and it was 5 seconds after I joined I realized that the Claudettes in the server could probably self heal their way to victory. I decided to train on getting a better Laurie so I switched to her.
2 Seconds later "You have lost connection to the host."
Every. Single. Time. I don't have bad internet either. Survivors in the servers generally have 20-60 ping.
Also, I wasn't blaming it on the killer, I understand if you don't want to face Decisive, but why do you assume Laurie is running Decisive? If I was, just tunnel me for the game, like every other killer does to Lauries.
I was asking "Will this happen often."
So before you give me an uneducated answer, please do pay attention to the question.

For every Killer that quits on you for being Laurie, there's hundreds if not thousands of Killers who don't [BAD WORD] care who you are.
Don't let a few out of thousands make you angry. :)

Thank you for the advice, it helps me realize helps me end Laurie abuse and to

It's kind of been bugging me for a while now, is it like a saw situation, maybe they did something in their pass, and The Entity, sort of changes their fate so they'll end up in the fog, all of the survivors' backstories have something to do with the forest. For example: Dwight passing out in the forest, or Meg taking jogs in the forest, or Nea tagging the abandoned hospital and hiding in the forest, or Kate going into the forest to write her songs, or Jake hiding in the forest instead of going to college? The list goes on,

~ Tell me what you think.
P.S. ~ Where IS the fog anyways? Is it still on earth, or another dimension? IDK :P

Kate is the only person who had an in depth explanation of getting taken.
She was not chosen. She went into the forest to write a song, and the entity had control of that place. It came in, and it's spider-like tentacles snatched her away while she was fighting back via Boil Over.
Claudette took a stroll and the same thing happened to her.
Jake got taken while he was in the woods... Living.
Meg got taken while on a jog.
Dwight got taken when he was dared to go into the Forest by his friends.
But here's the thing, none of them did anything to provoke the entity. They were just in the worst place possible at the time.

    Also, it is another dimension.

  • Getting decisive struck every time you pick up a survivor.

  • I'd have to say Laurie. Imagine, she's already escaped death and killers before, she had her fair share of emotional trauma, some of her best friends were murdered by her own brother.
Then it happens all again. Her and Michael are brought back into the world of the Entity.
Sure, it says she "Won't give up" in her lore, but you can only take on so many different killers at once.
In half the actual Halloween Movies, she looks terrified in her situation, in the scene where she hides in the closet, she looks utterly terrified when Michael starts pounding on the door, and she only comes up with the Coat Hanger Idea when her life depends on it. She's desperate to escape, her perks say that so well.
"You stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape."
"As more of your friends fall to the killer, you become more isolated."
That means she thinks of the other survivors as her friends. Even the more isolated ones, like Detective Tapp, Bill, Jake. They're all dead and she's becoming dead to the help of others.
She stabs at him and she's clearly panicking. She has not lost hope yet, but it will happen eventually.

So in time, Laurie will have the least hope.
For now, I'd have to say Dwight.
