Maybe there's hope I can get a Celty Sturluson skin for Yui.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/U34G88U0HRYO/celty.jpg

Don't know if it'd fit well, but screw it I love Durarara!! so even though I can't think of any fitting costumes aside from Celty as Yui and Shizuo as David, I fully support this.

  • Recently been playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 recently (held off after THPS5 was horrible but heard 1+2 was neat and thankfully it was), if you're in the mood to just skate on mostly good levels with a great song in a great skateboarding system for two minute intervals I can't think of a better game. But also if you're in that mood why are you so oddly specific-

With Persona 3-5 being ported on other consoles. I recommend those as well (it's the perfect fantasy where you get to be cool and have friends!)

Rivals of Aether is a really great platform fighter and with the workshop added it's basically MUGEN for platform fighters.

Honestly making this list made me realize I've haven't been playing many games lately (not as in playtime, I'm just been playing the same games over and over).

  • The Siren series.

I'm not good at describing the series and my memories a bit fuzzy not playing it for a while so excuse the bad explanation, but basically the characters have the ability of clairvoyance and can see through the eyes of others. This results in great moments like puzzles figuring out which Shibito (basically invincible zombies that can only be knocked down) has a key item, scary moments of finding out a Shibito is coming your way when you see yourself in their vision, etc.

Want this for two reasons, hope of a potential revival of the series if it gets in DBD (last game was in 2008), and I want to see how DBD could handle a clairvoyant survivor

  • Assuming I bought the game I'm getting my money's worth by dating them all, but I'll definitely go for Spirit first

  • If real people count, Tony Hawk (I love the Pro Skater games) as a survivor. If not then (the true culprit of Persona 4) would be a killer I'd love to see.

  • My problem isn't that all the survivors being female, it's that they're all popular characters. All of the survivor winners were characters I see a lot in even short DBD sessions.

I just want a winner someday to be a less popular character like Adam for example, he gets a great community skin and then that's a starting point for players to play a lot of Adam and suddenly he becomes somewhat popular with more frequent skins. Heck, wouldn't even mind if Zarina won next community outfit as I don't see her enough to say she's popular despite thinking she's a great character

  • For survivors I'd like to throw Ace into the conversation. From an old Benedict Baker quote, he said Ace ignited a fleeting spark of hope just by observing his surroundings and picking something up before leaving. He also gambles everything in an attempt to get money and I saw that as a trait of being dumb but also being hopeful he could win, so I believe he is a fantastic food source for the Entity being able to inspire others while being hopeful himself.

Aside from him I can't add much, I agree with consensus that everyone mentioned but especially Kate and Doctor are great food sources.

  • I'm the type of person that hits all the skill checks on merciless storm, feels proud about not missing them, then goes on another gen and fails a basic skill check.

  • Before: For The People, Vigil, Dead Hard, WGLF/Botany Knowledge/Desperate Measures + Med-kit with at least 2 self-heals

Now: For The People, Vigil, Botany Knowledge, Sprint Burst/Resilience + Med-kit with at least 2 self-heals

  • Another agree, I was really excited when seeing Ace got a mask but the hat ruins any possible combination (who wears a fancy suit, gold mask, and a dirty baseball cap at a casino? Who wears that at any event?).

If they applied it to the Sharp Ace head (below) I feel I could actually use it for outfits.

  • Already love too many of DBD's characters to squeeze her into the list, but she's still pretty cool. She wasn't an active harmful addition to the survivor roster like the war criminal, so that's a plus.

I think I'll start appreciating her more later (like Yui and Zarina weren't immediate favorites, but now they grew on me and became Top 15 Favorite DBD Original Characters imo), but as of right now I just actively like her addition but can't say "Love Her."

  • Even if the perk reworks make a more boring meta, if it's at least a different meta I'd be extremely happy.

  • The only thing that's easy to do with killer is entering a match, since most (sane) people are trying to que up as survivor.

  • @Satelit said:

Jonah has no redeeming qualities whatsoever

The only positive thing you could say about Jonah is that he makes every other character look better in comparison.

  • Left 4 Dead is one of DBD's most important licenses and I feel that at this point Bill cemented himself as a core part of DBD's identity, being first of a lot of things (first and only free licensed character, first licensed paragraph, and first licensed character to be featured in a tome). Heck, Bill even brought two of the best perks in the game and Left Behind.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that Stranger Things already had two great survivors and a fantastic killer and that's all I need from them, I don't trust the Hellraiser owners, Resident Evil is already getting another chapter, I don't like Konami, I can't imagine a good secondary killer for the Saw and Halloween series, Evil Dead already has a great game, I can't imagine a secondary killer for A Nightmare on Elm Street and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream would just give us another Ghostface and I think having two separate Ghostfaces would be confusing, and Ringu isn't scary because every time I hear the title for some reason I immediately think of Pingu which is an adorable Penguin, so L4D is the best next choice.

  • I don't know if this is the worst designed challenge in the game, but is sure does feel like it is.

I swear every time this challenge is equipped the killer either camps, my unhooker is on death hook, or the unhooker is too good to get downed; it's one of the most aggravating things in the entire game. I'd rather be forced to play 100 matches against pre-rework Doctor with a gen slowdown build on The Game, than to be forced to play this challenge.

  • More so a funny idea, lore wise why the Stranger Things DLC left was because all of the characters were completely incompetent and terrible at their role in the trials, so the Entity just uses them less often.

Demo doesn't know how to hook people, they just eat people or let them bleed out; Nancy is too focused on trying to find ways to kill the killer than actually doing generators; Jonathan isn't a big fan of most people so he let's everyone (aside from Nancy and Steve) to die on hook, and he's also trying to get information on the killer rather than doing gens; and Steve, who is surprisingly the most competent, still doesn't know what he's doing (even though he tries doing gens) and usually gets himself killed early in a trial trying to protect others.

  • So if I'm understanding correctly you got David, Bill, and are currently leveling up Meg. At this point there's no essential needs to level up, those are the essential threes, now comes subjectivity.

Since you like self-preservation survival perks, here's my suggestions

    1. Jake (Basegame; Free) for Iron Will
    2. Kate (9000 Iri shards) for Windows of Opportunity and Dance With Me
    3. Feng (Free on Console) for Alert and Lithe
  • Shelter Woods, which is the most ironically named thing in the entire game, has absolutely nothing on it and it's landmark is literally just a tree. Even Dead Dawg at least has a decent main building (as long as the killer doesn't break walls), what am I going to do with the tree?

  • Vigil

I get it has to be paired with a perk, but when it is it's extremely convenient. It also benefits teammates, that are likely using an exhaustion perk, and overall just neat. I run it with For The People and Sprint Burst all the time; and I love being able to run away faster, faster; be able to be healed after using FTP faster; remove exhaustion of a survivor I was healing faster; etc.

Again, not great on it's own, but it does a lot if you have a build around it and it's not even something you need to work towards as it's passive.

Honorable Mention to For The People, but I feel like I've talked about it too much.

  • Speaking of David, I kind of want Rik more. From what we've seen he seems like a great friend and I'm interested in how a character that helped someone like David through stories would be. What I'm imagining here is the survivors therapist, and I'm interested in how a survivor like that would be. He also seems to be a LGBTQ+ supporter (I'm assuming he knows David is gay), so that's a plus.

The three people Bill meets in his lore seem cool, kind of wished they based a game off of them.

Mika James (Fighter that was beating up Ace for 5 minutes in his tome) is also someone I can see potential in. Don't know why, I just think she'd be neat, either as killer or survivor.

Masquerades are anything but sketchy underground places. They were basically fancy costume parties for the wealthy.

That aside, I love the look of the masks but I am disappointed with the survivor choices. Especially since it's not just Dwight and Ace who released in the same year, it's also Yui and Jane. Only Mikaela and Elodie were released in different years.

Honestly thanks for the knowledge, don't know where I got my original idea from.

As for Jane and Yui, while they released in the same actual year, they weren't in the same DBD year. Basically since DBD Launched June 16, around there is the general timeframe for a DBD year. Basically Jane is a Year 2 survivor, while Yui is a Year 3 survivor; Because Jane released 2 years after DBD Launched, while Yui released after DBD turned 3.

  • Way too many, currently favoring the prestige perk unlocking. I have a fair amount of survivors P3d (Ace, Dwight, Claudette, Bill, and Yui) and some that have some prestige (Ash, Adam, Jeff, and Steve), so it's very cool to have some of the worst perks out of the way and some of the best ones immediately unlocked, and is a great incentive I wanted to P3 characters (currently trying to P3 Zarina because I'm addicted to For The People). Overall a really nice change that I feel rewarded for prestiging, and was a better change than I'd ever anticipated they'd do. Great job this time, BHVR.

I get that Ace make sense and so does Dwight being the first survivor (like Trapper is the first killer both on a technical level) however, during the stream they mentioned giving a mask to one original survivor and killer from every year, and they gave Year 1 two survivor masks while Year 2 doesn't have any. It's not even like a "Oh Year 2 only had licensed survivors" because that's not true.

I understand, but what you gotta remember is that I forgot Ace actually wasn't a 2nd year survivor, I thought he released after David so I thought him having it made sense Ace is begging to be in a Masquerade Party, dude's shady as hell and him being in a fancy party with hidden identity is a heaven for scams or underground dealings I'd assume. Don't know much about Masquerades, I'd just assume they are sketchy underground places and Ace is begging to be there, let him thrive in this environment.

I do get that they lied, but I just think Ace is too perfect to ignore. It's like giving not giving an Artist skin to the character that's canonically an Artist, yes I'm still a bit salty that Jane got that green rarity store skin and not Jeff, and that's why I'm okay with Ace getting it over David, because looking back at it we'll agree that "why didn't the sketchy dude that probably has multiple identities and thrives in high-class environments not be in the Masquerade, over the dude that probably wasn't even invited to his own birthday party and can't hold back his anger who is a ticking time bomb at a party."

  • I actually kind of loved how there's only 12 characters this time, makes grinding for the loot less tedious (Gonna be real with you, I don't want to grab a pedestal cosmetic with characters I don't use but too scared to ignore their items in case I do want to use them, 20+ times in a single month. Hated the fifth year crowns for that.), and the cosmetics this time actually look really cool.

    image.png

I love how Ace has one, out of every character in DBD he makes the most sense to be at a Masquerade and it looks aesthetically pleasing. In fact I like all of them (except maybe Trappers, although I think it's more "in comparison to the other masks" than me actually disliking Trappers). I hope we get more Anniversary events like this, a unique story with multiple DBD characters and aesthetically pleasing head gear on them, even if Ace and Yui don't get in next Anniversary I'd rather that than another unpleasant crown on everyone.

  • That the next anniversary event doesn't give us Yucky 🤮 Crowns, but gives us Party Hats instead

    image.png

The crowns don't look good and we don't even know what it does so it's lore significance doesn't exist, but Party Hats are fun and make more sense for a celebration.

    I'm just kidding, I don't have hopes.

  • All respect to killer players but I just find it miserable the state they are in and it never feels fun because rounds as killer (in my experience) usually fit in one of these 3 categories

    1. The Survivors are extremely effective and gets gens done fast and loops okay, I barely get one kill at endgame
    2. Like the first match but the survivors are also terrible people (most common)
    3. I go against literal babies and the 2 minute que took me to a 3 minute game.

Again, big props to killer players, I'll never understand how y'all can play them outside of a daily or tome challenge.

  • I've been wishing for the longest time that licensed characters could get recolors.

There would be a lot I'd do to get Bill to have Navy Blue Camo (I know he wasn't in the Navy, but blue is a color I like), Ash to have blue pants, don't know where I got the idea from but Cheryl with a blue vest and black skirt, etc,

  • Not just cosmetic killers, I would love to see other lore characters make it in as survivors (like Carl the Cashier [Cashier in the Ghostface trailer] being a Jeff skin, or Julian [in Mikaela Reid's lore] being idk Dwight skin, to name a few).

  • In my experience Bills generally are the better humans (as in, least toxic and they might even compliment you along with saying GGs and such), but I heavily disagree about them being the best survivors, as far as stereotyped survivors go they are pretty bad.

No insult to Bill mains, I love y'all.

  • Depends on who gets them, if the outfit looks good, and if it's not a set.

I'd really like it on Jeff, firstly he'd get a new cosmetic, but also he's from Canada and hockey is very popular there so it could be reasonable he likes the sport. He also got into fights and was aggressive so him playing Hockey at a young age also seems plausible, plus Jeff just built like a big dude who could probably play it well. Maybe also give it to the Legion (I'm more inclined to give it to Joey since I think he has the least amount of cosmetics from the Legion and also I get vibes he would be the most enthusiastic about it, but the idea is still fun and I'd like it on whoever except Susie since she gets too much)

  • Jotaro David.PNG

Admittedly haven't played in a while (currently reinstalling, stopped when Pinhead and NFTs happened and said I'll only go back if BHVR did something good enough to regain my trust and I consider adding their first gay character good enough to return), but this is what I did use on David because it vaguely looks like Jotaro Kujo and I just think it looks nice.

  • Ace in the Hole

The killer just searches a chest and gets a new killer power mid-game.

Imagine facing an Oni and suddenly he starts Feral Frenzying at you, that would be possible assuming the killer is lucky enough.

  • Agree that P30 is too much, I'd do it up to P10 with these rewards

    P1-P3: Not changed

P4: Character's first teachable perk as a charm

    P5: Mastery Cosmetic 1

P6: Character's second teachable perk as a charm

    P7: Mastery Cosmetic 2

P8: Character's last teachable perk as a charm

P9: Character portrait as a charm

    P10: Last Mastery Cosmetic

Feel that is unreasonable enough a grind that it bringing Legacy: Red Edition would be justified, but it's not comically horrible.

  • 10% off of nodes on the bloodweb for each prestige level (with P3 giving 30% off).

This is literally all I want, it's not astronomically huge to where it feels like a necessity to prestige, but it's a nice bonus and makes going back to level 50 to prestige easier. It also makes getting bunch of items and add-ons for your favorite killers and survivors cheaper, and to be honest I just want to be able to get more Med-kit and Med-kit add-ons on my P3 Bill and Ace so if leveling up is cheaper for them then yay.

  • ⬜️ Fighting Game

Fighting games are probably my favorite game genre at this point and I can see a lot of potential in putting the characters from DBD into this form. Heck, maybe even have this cannon, it was something the Entity did in experimenting with maximum hope farming (like I think it's canon the first few trials had no gens and it was just the survivors doomed to die, but then the Entity added gens and the survivors had the hope of escape. Kind of like that, the Entity saw David fighting and wondered if that was hope efficient).

Anyways, having them in a fighting game is a great way to preserve these characters when eventually the servers die (you have a box copy of DBD, that's dead as there's no servers; DBD Fighting Game, can be played solo without internet and you're able to see Ace in all his glory), and personally one of my favorite things about DBD is it's monumental amount of customization and I think a fighting game can do that well (for example, if this was a 3v3 fighting game you already have nearly hundreds of team combinations with stuff like Ace, Feng, Meg; Ace, Trapper, Hag; Ace, Yun-Jin, Trickster; etc.).

  • If I had to say which Killer should have retired, I guess I'll go with Doctor. Herman, as a Doctor working for the CIA (Doctor being one of the highest paying jobs in the world, I can't imagine how much is added to that when officially in the CIA) and seemingly worked for a while (in this case I'll assume 25 years, for convenience), I can imagine Herman Carter being able to retire now and having a solid rest of his life in a mansion or something.

Other killers that can retire are Trickster (as a K-Pop sensation, Ji-Woon Hak can probably retire peacefully now, however he does love stealing the spotlight and as such I don't think he wants to retire now. He, however, has the option to do so) and Oni (Don't know much about the timeframe when Kazan Yamaoka was taken, but from what it seems I think he lived a long duty life as a Samurai).

Dishonorable mention to Artist, because Carmina Mora must be sad all the time, must forever be sad because we decided it, she has a dead young brother, sad, she must continue painting for eternity to the point where she despise painting and has broken hands because if that doesn't happen then she wouldn't be sad and that can't happen, her mom left at a young age, sadness.

  • Jim Hopper (Steve Harrington) and Joyce Byers (Nancy Wheeler) are the only characters I care enough for to pay $15 for, not to say I dislike legendaries (I think having Chris and Claire Redfield as playable is really cool) but they'd be the only characters I'd actively pay $15 to play as.

Some other legendaries I would love to know are available but are too poor to afford are:

    • Reiko Asakawa (Yoichi Asakawa)
    • HUNK (Leon Kennedy)
    • Jonathan Sims (as head Archivist of the Magnus Institute) (idk, doesn't matter, I guess Felix)
    • James A. Janisse (Doesn't matter again, I guess Dwight)
  • Don't remember the time, but I know only 1 other survivor was alive and the gens had no progress with 2 gens needing to be done, I looped the killer long enough for the Jeff to do the gens and open the exit gate where we both got out. If I had to guess, maybe 7 minutes.

  • Honestly when I suggested this should be the next one I had the intention of voting Decisive Strike, but then I remembered that Dead Hard would also be useful against tunneling and the only situation that Decisive Strike could get me out of that Dead Hard couldn't is if the killer immediately smacked me the second I got unhooked and the unhooker didn't have BT. But that's unrealistic and Decisive Strike is only used once per game... Yeah, I kind of feel like Dead Hard is the clear winner, even if Decisive Strike is the more powerful effect, Dead Hard is way more consistent for it's amazing value.

  • Empathy is a lie, Claudette mains don't care about people.

Dance With Me is a lie, no survivors (or killers) are seen dancing.

and Barbecue and Chili is a lie, Barbecue and/or Chili doesn't appear when you use this perk.

Really ashamed of Behavior Interactive, tbh. They should really go back to making good games, like Jersey Devil and MySims.

  • To be fair, even with only two outfits (counting default and prestige as one outfit) and an Ugly Sweater he's probably more remembered than Jeff and Ash.

But yeah, absolutely would love to see more Bill content, personal most wanted outfits being his cameo design in Payday (first image), his original Beta Design (second image), and a fancy suit (no image and not based off anything, I just like the option of a fancy suit on survivors, it's why Ace is probably my favorite BHVR original survivor, dude looks dapper)

    image.png image.png

  • I can imagine two David King's fighting each other, either out of curiosity if they can beat their clone or they think the other David is a weird stalker that needs to be beaten up.

  • For The People, Vigil, Dead Hard, Desperate Measures, and a Med-Kit.

Not really inspired off something, it's just my personal default build I love to run since I love playing Altruism. Dead Hard is there so risky saves with For The People can work, Vigil is here because it pairs well with both For The People and Dead Hard and can passively help teammates, For The People is a perk I love running since I find it both fun and constantly game changing, and Desperate Measures is replaceable but I like the simultaneous faster unhook and healing speed.

  • I already said this once but I can't find the post and don't want to so I'll say this again:

I actually don't want the Red Stain removed because it benefits skilled Killers that can manipulate their Red Stain to trick survivors where they are moving, the reason perks and powers that remove the red stain are (usually) good is because the Red Stain is normally available so it suddenly disappearing punishes survivors that were relying on it, and eventually Survivors will adapt to the removal of the Red Stain and this will make them better (especially against Stealth Killers since the survivors are more focused and attentive on their surroundings) at the game and survivors are already the power role. I still want tests done on live servers where it's temporarily removed to either confirm or deny my suspicion, but from what I think now the Red Stain is actually a help to the skilled killers right now.

As to why I voted Dead Hard, because the perk is too good and hopefully it'll give me the push I need to stop using it.

  • Yeah, agreed. Almost everyone can agree Dead Hard is the best exhaustion perk, so next time you do a 2 Perk Game can you either not have Dead Hard or put it against Decisive Strike.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

Survivors seeing each others' perks shouldn't be tied to a perk; it should be a basekit feature.

Couldn't agree with you more, I just have no faith it would actually be implemented in basekit.

Although if that did happen, how about they also see the perks progress as well (i.e. stacks of autodidact, when Any Means Necessary is ready, how much gen progress needed to get flashbang, etc.). Unless that's also basekit, then idk how to make this perk better without making it busted.

  • Any killer that is strong enough to be able to annihilate a team but also has reasonable counter play where it feels like both the survivors and the killer have a realistic chance of winning (most notably an Oni and a great-but-not-competitive-player Nurse, they are my favorites)

  • Doesn't Spirit only want revenge?

(Don't know, long time since I read the lore but I thought they were both one-dimensional in terms of wants)
