  • What, no? Where'd you get that idea from? Jeffrey Hawk is the Clown, that's a killer.

  • Doing my Survivor and Killer main.

    Borrowed Time

    Iron Will

    Leader

    Left Behind

Oh neat, I gave Bill both a lore accurate and decent build

    Distressing

    Overwhelming Presence

    Claustrophobia

    Thanatophobia

And I think I gave Doctor an okay build that also is fitting

  • I don't know how to explain my liking of Dwight, but if I had to try I guess it's his character growth in the realm.

Despite being in a scary situation with complete strangers (who he probably only knows as a shy botanist, anti-social outdoorsman, and teen athlete), Dwight manages to gather up some courage and becomes a (really great at the time) leader in this scenario and for some reason I find that really cool and respectable. Also, he's the 1 out of these 4 that I find the funniest.

  • I accidentally clicked on the wrong option, I meant "no."

Huh, I remember that back when it was still pony stuff. I didn't even know it was still a thing and had assumed it never took off after the cease and desist. How is it?

Short Answer: Basically everything you could want from a fighting game aside from a big roster, but the 7 (6 if you don't buy the DLC) characters it does have are also complex enough that it isn't that noticeable. For the $15 price, I would recommend a buy if you are a fighting game fan.

Long Answer in spoiler tabs so the thread can be happy not scrolling through pages worth of me talking about My Little Pony's rejected fighting game

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

Pretty great, while it's small roster might be a turn-off for some it absolutely makes up for that with everything else the game does.

Firstly, the Story Mode is one of the best I've seen in a fighting game, period. It's a great tutorial that doesn't feel like a tutorial, because all the things it does (like teach how to close the gap on Zoners playing a close range character, with boss fights) are things you mostly learn by yourself, and there's optional side-objectives that can be done for fun. Yeah, Story Mode is like leagues better above every other story mode in fighting games that I played.

Secondly, music is phenomenal. This game has dynamic music which basically means it changes for little minute stuff. On the fighter select screen alone there's multiple arrangements on who is chosen (i.e. Picking Pom and Oleander on the fighter select screen has different music from Picking Pom and Velvet which is different from Velvet and Paprika) because each character is represented by different instruments. Going to link multiple tracks here so you get the idea, bad at explaining: [1] [2] [3] [4]

And lastly, the game is just fun. The characters are fun to see interact, they are fun to play as. I'm not an in-depth mechanic person so I can't say why, but it's just fun. Sorry I can't speak much on the fighting itself, but it's just really great.

  • Simple, I'm still going to be playing Dead by Daylight

    image.png

Just with a different gaming set-up.

EDIT: Somehow forgot this will take at least half a year to arrive, so I'm just sticking to Them's Fightin' Herds for now.

  • For The People

Legit game changer in a lot of scenarios and is always fun to pull great plays with, an Instant Heal for another has saved me so many games when I save someone from death hook and they eventually repay the favor by us by as a team member contributing to gens or being another looper buying the team time or in a rare scenario them pulling off a pallet/flashlight save so neither of us get hooked. It also has niche uses for putting Rancor onto me in a safe spot, or if exposed the ability to instantly heal another to get Dead Hard/Resilience/Iron Will/etc.

  • You're allowed to correct me on this, I might be wrong, but I think if a current existing original chapter were to get a sequel the best fit would be Demise of the Faithful.

Firstly, Jane Romero's disappearance is a HUGE deal, she's a national celebrity. Basically, I don't believe that only finding her car would be acceptable, I'm sure there's enough online sleuths and fans and etc. that have to be looking for the body as we speak. Maybe we could have a fan that was so obsessive for finding Jane that they made a deal with the devil for it, maybe Dwayne from the Tome lore knew about a secret place only he and Jane knew about and the Entity snatches him up because why not, maybe we get a DBD Original Police/Detective on the case of finding her (maybe they were even the one that found the car), we have many possible set-ups for a Survivor that knew about Jane.

Lastly, I think Adris' (The Plague) effect on Babylon, or just a continuation of the civilization would be cool to follow up on, and who knows maybe this was around the origin of The Black Vale.

  • Personally I would like seeing it do everything (aside from repairing gens, running, walking, and anything killer specific [i.e. disarming a trap, injecting a vaccine, searching a jigsaw box, etc.]) 15% faster. Yes, that includes vaulting, crawling, and crouching.

The main idea is that being subjected to an instant-down, you are able to support the team way more overall with being able to survive chases longer (due to vault speed buff), heal and unhook people faster, get items from chests, etc.

That's if I was forced to buff it, I personally wouldn't because I like having a perk that allows hard mode.

  • The font is Comic Sans

    Sans the Skeleton

    Undertale is an indie game

    FNAF is an Indie Game

    FNAF is next chapter confirmed

  • It would be absolutely HILARIOUS if the devs just kill switched all survivor perks and made [Insert-Killer-Sided-Map-Here] the only map that appeared today.

  • This is actually foreshadowing that Comic Sans Undertale will be the next killer.

  • I used to be a toxic and entitled survivor.

    I played Killer one time.

I'm now an altruistic survivor who tries making the game enjoyable for everyone.

I simplified what happened but that's actually the case, like 10 or so matches as killer and I was miserable, and on one of the last games I saw a toxic Nea that made me reflect on who I was (I was a Nea main at the time) and some time shortly I tried not being a jerk and find that more fun today.

  • We need an ice map where everyone is sliding around uncontrollably.

  • I felt like someone needed to do Propaganda for the villains- I mean Dead Hard users, so I went ahead and did that.

    Dead Hard Propaganda.png
  • I'm really sad the deluxe edition is seemingly Kickstarter exclusive because I don't know if I can get it and might miss out some of my favorite characters (notably Jeff, Adam, Yui, Huntress, Spirit, and Oni), but at least Ace and Doctor (my favorite favorites) are base game so I could pick them up at a Wall-Mart or something.

But yeah, I'm still really excited to play this game eventually and I'm happy this game introduced me to Level 99 games (they seem interesting)

  • It definitely has some of the most interesting lore I've seen from a game, so it's fun thinking about stuff like that (stuff like which DBD characters possibly knew each other outside the trials, any actual escape from the Entity's realm, approximately how much money did Ace owe to debt collectors before he was taken).

And also the crossover aspect of seeing Steve, Ash Williams, Bill Overbeck, and Cheryl Mason bullying a low tier killer on Haddonfield.

  • I'm open to the idea of it, but I want it noted I think the reason moonwalks and effects removing the red stain are so effective because there is a red stain normally.

Same concept kind of goes like this, if a survivor is going up against an expert killer that is frequently not used with an unorthodox playstyle, they are more likely to get sacrificed the first few games than the tenth or so if they go against that same killer for multiple games in a row. Sure, they didn't know how to counter it the first few games, but since then they adapted and it isn't as threatening.

Permanently taking away the red stain punishes good killers who used it skillfully and rewards bad killers that aren't trying to be subtle about their stain, and then eventually survivors adapt and that's probably bad. Again, I'm open to the idea of a PTB or multiple tests, but I'm skeptical that removing it would be a good thing.

  • Don't know if this counts, but I'm a survivor main and I see cheating killers a lot. Obviously I'm too good at the game to naturally lose, so even though I don't know exactly what hacks they did if I lose I always make sure to report them.

Okay but actually I do think someone said I had speed hacks during endgame one time, in a game where I had Hope equipped.

If it means standing a chance against the father, son, and holy spirit, I am willing to shelter anyone and anything.

Can’t guarantee everyone could fit, though.

Well since I'm actually Cheese I think fitting inside would be easy (no homo), so sure let's team up. A Cheese inside a fridge can totally take down a Bullet Time God, the Holy Trinity, a The Dark Tyrant, a Teabagging Ghostface, etc., yeah we totally aren't doomed from the very beginning due to being inanimate objects.

  • I'm either a Cheese named Anton, or an Anton with such a love for cheese that people threw it at the front of the name for the nickname.

For this hypothetical I'm assuming it's a Battle Royale and I'm Cheese (more likely to survive longer) hiding inside a cooler, best case scenario I get 1st place because everyone else can't find me and they die of natural causes, most likely I'm found and ate but at least I'm not sentient (I'm Cheese) so that's also best case I don't feel sad and hopeless battling people I liked because I'm nothing more than Cheese! I actually consider myself the true winner if you think about it long enough but also not at all, in fact stop thinking about it, I won.

  • Can I sell the ticket or do I have to go?

Either way I lose a friend and make a lot of money, I'm just wondering how.

  • While it's true Meg is the only survivor who has 3 good perks, those in my opinion are just "good" and not "groundbreaking, absolute game changers" like 2 of Bill's perks. I'd rather have two absolutely fantastic perks (and Left Behind) than 3 overall good perks, plus I have some bias against Meg as I personally always never liked Adrenaline.

  • Let's just get this over with already. At first I genuinely liked it, but now it's annoying to see to the point I inverse to not wanting it which makes me not want it so much it goes all the way around to me wanting it so the theories stop.

  • How are people not voting for Bill, he has two perks that are so good they effect the trial while not even being used (Unbreakable and Borrowed Time, most killers are usually cautious of these perks so they avoid slugging or wait 12 seconds after an unhook to hit the survivor). I'm not saying Meg isn't valid (I almost voted her), I'm just shocked at the lack of Bill love.

That's assuming we're talking about perks, Ace is clearly the best survivor in every single aspect aside from perks.

  • Empathic connection

Your presence psychically projects itself to those in danger.

    • Whenever another Survivor is injured, they can see your Aura when within 32/64/96 metres of your location.
    • You heal other Survivors 25 % faster.

Gonna be honest I always wanted a perk like this, combines both aura reading and heal speed and I think it'll do well with my other mainstay perks (For The People, Vigil, and Dead Hard) and my altruistic playstyle, allowing me to be the beacon of help and take aggro when needed. I just think the 10% healing base was way too weak so I buffed it by 15% leading to 25%. Admittedly not that great a change for DBD overall, but it's just a quality of life to make the perk slightly better that I wanted.

  • Felt like pointing this out, on the last image of this site you can see Hag in the background [Link]

    image_2022-03-02_164730.png

NOW, DON'T TAKE THIS AS FACT, THIS IS JUST PERSONAL SPECULATION

Also, on here under Game Features it says the game features 13 Miniatures [Link] and considering who we seen so far I personally think Ace is likely the 13th Miniature (granted we haven't seen much, but we have seen the original 7 of base game and 2 of the first chapters "The Last Breath" and "Sparks of Madness," we see Hag so Ace finishes "Of Flesh and Mud" and with that we have all the Year 1 Original Content for base game).

Either way whatever happens I'm absolutely buying the Collectors Edition, this looks really cool. I have no idea what to say besides "This looks cool," "I'm really excited for this," and that observation (which is why I said that, hoping I contributed to this discussion).

  • Xenoblade_Chronicles_DE_Wallpaper_[1920x1080].jpg

My second main in Super Smash Bros. 4 and Ultimate (I can't find a Lucas Wallpaper I like enough so I decided on my secondary, plus I also really like Xenoblade Chronicles)

Yes but in terms of the power it gives you alot of interacts, I guess you're right its subjective but it has so many interactive features (explained in a previous comment)

Well a hellraiser map would of been pretty cool, but theres no real one area. But I'm not sure why you like plague/oni so much, plague especially as 90% of the time shes a basic M1 because no one cleanses

For plague, I get that 10% of the time (where people do cleanse) 99% of the time and I like the "oh crap" factor when she gets the blood puke where it suddenly becomes a desperate struggle to live. Honestly the parts when the killer gets unexpectedly super powerful is one of my favorite moments in DBD and is why I love facing Tier 3 Michael and am okay with NOED.

Oni for similar reasons, the "Oh boy, oh crap, oh tiddly-winkers this is not a favorable position to be in at the moment" when you hear Oni roar is priceless.

Also I will say this now because I understand it may sound like I think Pinhead is unforgivable, but I don't hate everything about Pinhead. My favorite part playing against him is if the box doesn't get solved and Chain Hunt begins, then it's a race to the box while avoiding chains. Unfortunately these don't last long as when even one survivor grabs it the hunt ends and it's pretty rare in my games for a Chain Hunt to even start, however Chain Hunts are really fun (again though, not fun or frequent enough to put him above the last chapter, but credit where it's due).

  • @EntitySpawn said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2736093#Comment_2736093

Let me guess, you're unable to grab a box and hold a button for a few seconds and that's not interactive?

    Oh and you hate NFTs?

But we cant really include maps as you dont get them for buying the chapter. They're default without purchase.

No, grabbing a box and holding a button for a few seconds is easy, it's just not fun. Holding a button while running to remove chains is easy, but not fun. I didn't say impossible interactions, I said unfun. Granted, this is subjective, but playing as and against Pinhead is not fun in my opinion.

Also of course I hate NFTs, but Pinhead still wasn't great in the first place, all the NFTs did was put my second least favorite chapter to my least favorite chapter.

And regarding the maps, even not taking them into account Cursed Legacy and Demise of the Faithful are still gold standards and Pinhead was a very underwhelming license.

  • Every chapter should have a single killer with unfun interactions, community backlash, basically false advertising (how BHVR didn't directly say it but implied they weren't working with NFTs and then did, and the voicelines being removed and us getting them back months after the release despite it being on the PTB), and okay perks?

Imo Pinhead is actually the opposite, it's the lowest standard, it's the chapter All-Kill would laugh at. Imo, the Gold Standards for what a chapter should be are still Cursed Legacy and Demise of the Faithful for bringing great characters, great killers with unique and strong powers, I don't remember there being many bugs, okay maps not the best but at least they had them, and great perks, they also had new ideas for killers that weren't attempted before (Other characters were pretty recent but Plague showed that killers can be taken from pretty much any time, and Oni was the first and only killer directly related to another killer).

  • I wouldn't even if it was 75%, the idea of a perk that opens exit gates faster is not even good on paper because needing to open them that fast is a rare scenario and you could've avoided needing to open them fast if you brought a better perk that actively helped the game.

  • Favorite: Bill Content? Bill got Content? Bill got Content! Also, Gnome Charm.

    Least Favorite: NFTs

  • Depends on how many times I've been doing the challenge. At first 2 games or so It's on my mind but I'm not going out of the way. Around game 4 I'm focusing hard on doing it. Game 6 I'm actively putting the team in danger. Game 10 I'm getting a SWF and immediately go to the killer so that my team mate who saved me throws so I can get FLIPPING Blood Debt over with! Why did this challenge ever exist, sure throwing the game and hoping the rescuer sucks enough to get hooked is an absolutely brilliant idea! Can't wait for Blood Dead to exist, "get downed 5 times while the killer is carrying a survivor," sure players will absolutely LOVE that!

  • I mainly got cash, which I used to get OKAMI on the Switch, a 128 GB card for the switch since my Switch only have megabytes left, and the thing I'm most excited for is a Limited Run Games Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic on the Switch (I know it's cheaper digitally, but the box art is too cool and KOTOR is too important to my childhood to cheap out on it like that. Excited to replay the game now that I have have consciousness and can actually appreciate it, rather than just thinking it looked pretty and button mashing interesting).

For the stuff I got that wasn't cash, here's the things that stuck out

two sets of gloves (surprised it was remembered in a passing comment about my cold hands on a phone, but appreciated. It was small but I appreciated it and will wear them)

Among Us Crewmate plushie (it's actually soft and I had a good laugh)

Candles (I haven't been able to smell since having Covid, so pretty weak. However the gifter said they thought I would've regained smell by now which is fair, it been over 5 months I don't know how I can't smell. Either way, can't wait to eventually be able to use them hopefully seriously when will my Nose decide to do it's job)

2 Star Wars character Disney Infinity toys (I collect Amiibo, and I think my parents were confused. However, they look neat, I'm keeping them on a display shelf)

and last but certainly most importantly a hand made Blue Monkey plush (what I liked most, my brother gave me and my sister hand made plushes. My sister had a Koala, I had a blue monkey. It features my two favorite blues and Monkeys are still my favorite animal, their associated with the Lazy Monkey NFTs aren't going to change that. If you're for some reason here of all places brother, again thank you so much)

  • Don't know if it counts but I love having physical games, it just makes me feel satisfied looking at it. A digital game, sure, I have it, but the box art on physical screams "this is yours" to me and I like looking at it and putting the game into the game slot.

    Basically this

    image.png

excites me way more than this

    image.png

  • I knew since around late 2015 when I was playing my, at the time, favorite game SpongeBob HeroPants on my 3DS handheld game console. I wanted to research the game so I went on Wikipedia dot com to find out it was developed by Behavior Santiago (rip). Still crazy how despite it closing DBD is still pushing out updates, never understood that, but that's okay don't need to think about it too long.

  • Best: Stranger Things

One of the best chapters performance wise (to my knowledge there wasn't anything game breaking at the time), came with Steve (a fan favorite ST character) and Nancy (came with great perks) and Demogorgon (one of the few killers the majority of survivors and killers like), an admittedly not great map but it's still the first time we saw the Hawkins map in a 3D environment so that's worth something, and came with great memes (Demodog, Scoops Ahoy, Steve's awful voice which became so bad it's good, etc.). I don't want to make this another "I'm sad it's gone" post, but it's content was still fantastic and I wouldn't change my mind if it was still here.

    Worst: Hellraiser

An unfun killer (to play as and against), no map, and I'm still not playing because of the NFTs (not leaving the community as I love the game and the people I met, I'm just not playing until BHVR does something that earns back my trust).

  • I am a man that loves game preservation, overall dislikes content being removed, supporter of the idea that more game consoles need previous gen compatibility (mainly looking at Nintendo, it's like they're actively want their older games to be lost media), yet even I can not say I like RPD enough to keep it in.

Plus if the RPD was to be completely removed from DBD nothing would be lost as it's BASICALLY THE EXACT SAME MAP FROM RE2R, Which is WHY the map is so terrible. Imagine trying to take a Super Smash Bros. stage, leave it unchanged, and put it into Street Fighter; it straight up doesn't work in that setting. That's what the RPD is, it's a Resident Evil map made with Resident Evil in mind, ported to DBD with not much thought aside from adding Blight Bubbles and hooks. It's bigger than an Ikea, more confusing than a maze, the pallets are about as consistently good as a really inconsistent thing, it's all just a big and mostly unplayable mess.

The only slightly redeeming thing is it looks nice, but that doesn't save it. If I wanted beautiful maps I wouldn't be playing DBD, and RPD is not even that great of a map to look at comparatively to other games I play (imo).

Tl;dr: RPD is not a DBD map and I refuse to acknowledge it as such. It doesn't even look that good, it's good for DBD standards but there are still way more beautiful games and maps elsewhere.

  • Drift by Daylight.png

(I know I already showed this but I'm somewhat proud of it and don't have many chances to show it off)

Even though my preferred DBD Spin-off would be a 2D Fighter, I could see a Kart Racer being dumb fun. The Entity's college experiment to see if it'd prefer more happy emotion rather than it's current feast off fear and hope (that's the lore reason, The Entity was with a bunch of other cosmic horrors beyond our human comprehension and they started drinking and the Entity played Mario Kart Wii with them and decided they wanted Bill to do that).

Of course we have a large roster with maybe some guests, interesting items, maybe pre-lobby customization with perks, there's honestly a lot of potential.

Do I think DBD should do this. Absolutely not, what are you insane? Do I want them to do it. Absolutely yeah, no question about it.

  • Would love for this to be permanent so we can have new perk types and also add some conditions for Snowman

Healing Snowman: Being 15 meters around the killer in a Snowman for 10 seconds heals you a health state

Calm Spirit: Don't Disturb crows and the shaking inside a snowman decreases (I like the lore implication that the snowman are sentient, adds disturbing horror to the game. Also gives a little effect to a bad perk to hopefully make it better)

Hardened Snowman: Leaving a Snowman doesn't destroy it. It's presence inspires everyone to work harder, survivors within 15 meters gain a 5% action boost.

Fire Up: At 5 tokens Snowman within 10 meters melt

Stuff like that, except maybe not these are probably either too weak or too strong.

  • Someone already beat me to the customization so I'll mention the crossover aspect.

Sure, there have been rushed or bad licensed content, but Bill, Ash, and Steve surviving in Haddonfield being chased by Pyramid Head is a crossover not even Super Smash Bros. can do.

  • Of course there are plenty of factors to consider (how many pallets are thrown, who's the killer, am I injured as the chase begins, etc.)

But my usual time in 1v1s on customs with no perks, a 115% movement speed killer not using their power, no used pallets, and starting off in the killer shack, is around ~4 minutes (of course this also doesn't account for if I just got lucky Map RNG or if all of my friends are bad, but there's never a 100% accurate on this, this is the best estimate I have)

  • 1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1v-

    Everyone just hates each other.

  • image.png

Unfortunately since Mikaela now exists my ideas for a Clairvoyance perk are now gone and also wasted, but Kyoya Suda is still my most wanted Licensed character (since I already got Steve and Bill), the map would be terrifying, and even though I can't think of one I'm certain a killer would be great.

  • Depending on how uncommon they are to play, encountering a great player's low tier as survivor might confuse you as you haven't played against them in a while leading to the killer having a knowledge advantage

i.e. in Super Smash Bros. Little Mac is universally known as Low Tier since he has no air options so I don't see people playing as him, so when I do I sometimes lose as I forget how fast and powerful he is on the ground.

Stuff like that happens when I forget how good Doctor's shocks are in a chase, forget where common traps are placed, how long Bubba sweeps his chainsaw, I forget Stealth killer exist so I'm extremely easy to get a first hit on if Myers or Peppa Pig or Ghost Face or Wraith are the killer, stuff like that I forget after not facing these killers in a long while.

  • Still voting Dead Hard, I need it because my dumb butt always gets in trouble going for risky plays with For The People (because I absolutely can't stand seeing a survivor be on the ground for 2 seconds with no hooks, they're going to immediately DIE if I don't save them right then and there). But now I'm broken next to the killer, Dead Hard is the only perk that can get me out of those scenarios I can't help but find myself in because I NEEDED to save that survivor with only 2 seconds of bleedout time.

Honorable Mention to Head-On, I run locker builds from time to time, but I find altruism more fun and Dead Hard allows reckless saves to be possible making it my favorite.

  • Only saw the Yamaoka Estate, sorry about that. Well the Lego Minifigures can shop (Gas Heaven), work (The Mines), and have a home. You know what the next step is... They need to drink "Soda."

Introducing the Dead Dawg Saloon Playset!

    image.png

Send your victims to the Saloon to forget about their infinite misery and to give them a temporary escape from the place where not even dying grants you an escape.

Have hilarious interactions like Ace getting into a bet that he can survive David King's punches for 5 minutes, Dwight getting too much "Moon-Sparkle" and waking up in a different room, and much more!

The Fun can't end* at the Dead Dawg Saloon Playset!

*Fun can't end because it never started, fun will never exist in the Realm, which is not tied to the Lego Playsets btw we don't send buyers to the Entity's realm anymore.
