  • Compass or not, just as solo you can position yourself at easily identifiable locations and track the killer from there. Once you add in team communication you can literally pinpoint the direction the Killer is moving at all times and how the team should coordinate around the map. As example; let's say I'm posted in a corner of the map. I've relayed my location to the team, I can now tell them he's moving East coming towards me Center map or now he's heading west. I can pretty effectively warn them to move before they even hear the terror radius coming.

  • Is this another phasing killer or will they be able to use both attack and power without a warning period?
  • Its the killers job to oppress and kill you. Most are just performing in the most time efficient manner, with time being mainly in the survivors hands. Yeah its still possible to get a 4k and spread the love, but that doesn't make it the smartest method. Its pvp, usually only one side is satisfied with the end result.
  • Slams a beartrap down on the shoulder, while holding it forces the survivor down to their knees and then beheads them. Trapper is the Dev's first, they should really indulge if they make a new one.

Use no mither - problem solved.

Nope, I want the benefits of full health when I start. I prefer that its my failure or the killer's skill that weakens me.
  • Played a game against wraith and  he killed everybody. I had fun so I sent a gg. Player messaged me back stating that was the first GG he received all week from Survivor. Which is really sad because he played about as Fair as any Survivor could hope for.
  • I almost never see noed, with totems still being insanely easy to find. Ruin and the spirit's hex are way more common. Last 3 noed users didn't even get it to activate.
  • A stride and stalk movement could make sense. Show a difference in animation so survivors that are hidden can gain a visual clue. While out of chase have every killer move faster (striding speed) in anticipation of spotting their next victims . When picking up a trail (before it starts to diminish) have them enter their hunting speed. This can easily be attributed to the fact killers enjoy extracting hope and suffering as they inflict pain upon the survivors. Taking the pleasure at their own pace for personal satisfaction and providing just enough leeway that survivors don't just giveup from despair.
Most movies killers display this trait, cutting people off but taking time when face to face.

I mean we can go the realistic logic route if we want, but if so, why doesn't a killer just bust pallets before hunting. As long as a feature is introduced and implemented well, it doesn't need to be perfectly logical.

Damn right, why should an ordinary perk that is strong by itself also counter an ultra rare addon that costs a fortune

    They aren't that rare tbh

Levels 1-50 on most of my killers only earned me a handful at best. Wasn't  until I p3 a few that I started to get them just slightly more often. Just rare enough they are for special occasions.
  • The easier it gets to unhook someone the less interest I have in doing it. I agree that a face camp is boring torture for the hooked member, but little to no danger as the rescuer sounds just as boring (not the same as coast clearing). At that point it just becomes another lackluster secondary objective.
  • Last night me and the other 3 spawned right in front of it, full view, then Billy arrived 10sec later to mow down 2 of them. One of the worst starts I've seen in awhile.
  • I'm fine with it, never used DS anyway so mori doesn't change anything. Even if the killer doesnt tunnel your still getting killed. Like many other situational perks there are now ways to avoid creating the opportunity.
  • Would love to see the looping gods try to beat a killer they can't look at. That alone would be worth a ptb.
  • Don't care about shorter wait times, I never have an issue with it. But the matchmaking has been horribly imbalanced.
  • We all know the drill, you can almost guarantee that 1 will be something new they want to try and the other 2 will address some issue of play we would rather see altered. Survivor will counter perks with 2-5 in game methods anyway.
  • Didn't care for it, too time consuming. I take gen strategy so survivor come to me and gauge how far out they can get before needing to mend. Don't even need to chase them.
  • Please not another reduced speed killer. Stealthy, tactical, afflicting, deceptive, or brutal; any one of those would be a welcome trait. Just not another slow killer with a burst power.
  • It will be ironically sad if the killer religiously prays for intervention against the survivors.
  • Been mainly playing survivor cause of how this matching seems to work. Every killer is either top rank or straight noob. Matching  seemed like it was attempting 2 high rank solos with 2 low, otherwise i felt I was getting boosted with rank 1-2 3man swf. Nothing really felt balanced & I saw no differences in wait times( not that it was a problem to begin with)
  • Stopped playing killer after finishing daily rituals as every group was in the reds and doing record gen times( even the solos had gen busting swf builds). Survivor was tolerable but kept getting baby killers and felt bad for them.
  • @HeroLives
I wish I could attribute it to low rank boobs, but matchmaking tonight has me playing in the reds and purples. Loadouts would suggest otherwise as well. Only ones not being total a-holes are the killers. Last one watched a swf do it, slugged me, killed them, and before I bled out carried me to hatch.(rank 4 myers)
  • @HeroLives
A camping killer is a different matter. Making a save before a hook phase ends is about the best you can offer a teammate and I got no issue there. I am talking about the poor excuses that get spotted during approach or are being chased and sandbag you anyways.
  • I see two reasons why Killers continue to do this;
1 survivors are making it work for them
2 they are enjoying all the salt because you can't just move on to the next game

The time before your first hook is the most crucial simply because you may not get another chance.
  • I thought the longer your waiting the less matchmaking cares about rank. Just seems like low lobby numbers are causing wild mismatching on both sides.
  • I have no issue with another female killer, but can we please get one that isn't at a reduced speed.
Can we get just 1 female with a 115 movement speed.
  • I would say at best legion can only play what the situation allows. For some of the achievements you have to go into the match with creating the conditions as your primary focus. Relying on the random chance isn't very effective cause the intended strategy for legion is so far off from what actually occurs during a normal match.
  • The moment I see deep wounds on the hud I know the game will require a different approach. If your gonna dc, please do so we can be one step closer to not being teamed up. Legion is not hard to face if you avoid their strengths. Even with 1-2 dc I can still manage to survive. If legion does kill me its no different than any other killer getting a win. Legion's power is a major chase advantage, but your right lets complain cause we can't loop or outrun and are to stubborn to change tactics.
  • I would at least like to try it, playing solo I think this would add just the right amount of suspense and omnis presence to a match. No doubt some killers would become more difficult,  but I like a challenge.
  • @Master
Was referring to post title and projection that solo was less than the percentages provided by Dev's. While it may just be attention bait, I found it was less than representative of a solo's capabilities. But yeah, never think to big of myself to turn down good advice & tips.

Don't have numbers as there's no ingame tracker, but my success as a solo is way better than 10-15%. That just shows survivors are doing something wrong, whether its teamwork or failure to adapt their playstyle.

So where are you getting the numbers from?
If even your own survival rate is higher....

Average number of game I can play vs the number I succeeded in. Not claiming I am great but on a typical night I do better than 1/10.
  • Don't have numbers as there's no ingame tracker, but my success as a solo is way better than 10-15%. That just shows survivors are doing something wrong, whether its teamwork or failure to adapt their playstyle.
  • 5 gens at 80sec each or less; seems like plenty of time for the noed problem to be countered. Stating that finding all five is to hard or time consuming is only admitting you'd rather chance its activation. As a solo its not that hard and I don't even waste slots on perks to help. As killer I find the perk almost useless as it is only active from the final gen to the first gate being opened.
  • So true, get done playing some killer and I think "wow, survivors are on point today. Maybe I will play some survivor and get good teammates today." 2min into my game 2 people are dead and the third is waiting for me to do gens or die.
  • Be more conscious of were your walking and crouch when nearing objectives. Traps are designed to draw focus so you can't be careless.
  • I don't find the mori all that bad. Its rare to see one unless the team decks out with items. Even if its a single use i find its better to save it for after each survivor is hooked, so the best runner gets it. Besides that, you often enough get 2 chances to best the killer and save yourself.
  • 90% of the Jakes I meet/vs run straight at the killer like they have a death wish.
  • Like many other perks some just prove less effective against specific killers. Doesn't it conserve the next token until the previous ones time has fully elapsed?
  • While not necessarily Slenderman, the idea of a killer survivors have to actively avoid looking at would be a cool gameplay mechanic
  • @TJE24
Yeah camping sucks, so does being singled out because of the killer wants to eliminate everybody one person at a time. It feels really oppressive like you're being hunted down singled out and killed. I commend you for playing into the survivors preferred method but that's all you're doing playing to their their preference. Killers want to kill somebody off and that's what they're supposed to be doing. You had the chance to beat the Killer and Escape but they outplayed you. After that it's up to the team to beat the Killer and provide you with an additional chance it's not a handout.
  • It will be the Survivor version of legion every cosmetic will be a mascot uniform
  • I used to never bring anything now I've got so much stuff that I bring something regardless just so I can waste it
  • @Poweas
Fair enough, I do enjoy killer but I just can't stand playing survive with friends.

    You forgot:

    8) accept that playing killer is easier and less stressful
I consider difficulty and stress separate. The more challenging the play the more rewarding and fun it feels. I hate easy mode in any game
  • I always attributed it to the fact he was standing there with Insidious watching and waiting for the survivors. Of course the survivors were just bad only one of them tried to use cover.
  • I think it would be intentional as it's their actions that are prompting the opportunity.
  • @Arroz
And from an individual perspective I would agree with you. But consider the implications that has for the rest of the team. You're not just buying yourself time you're also providing it to your teammates and that's even if you fail to escape. The mori can save a killer time but only with that individual Survivor they still need to hunt for, Chase, and down the remaining survivors which is time strangely influenced by yet independent of your interaction with the Killer.
  • I would say the mori itself doesn't require a counter simply because by that point the killer has bested you twice. Technically they're only preventing you from one final chase and hook.
  • I'd like to see some new obsession perks, preferably ones that don't cause you to ignore the obsession or strictly tunnel them out. I'd also like to see some new hex perks , maybe some  with effects that gain token stacks and remain after being broken based on the amount.
  • I stopped bothering to take Franklin's anymore, simply because I have had so many survivors try to Blind the side of my head I don't even worry about it. I laugh, smack, and then hook.
