Its latency, weapon size doesn't factor into reach. Your probably just on the edge of the hotbox which is why they are hitting but looks like a miss.
-
Its usually a playstyle of preference not effectiveness. If the new system keeps them at low ranks where survivors feed the tactic, I think those killers will embrace it all the more.
-
Easy solution, find your team so they can patch you up faster. Killer is wasting slots so you can feel pressured, which only really works if you escaped anyway.
-
I do like the visual effect it has on survivor screen. I feel like its just enough to cause accidental snags and wrong turns.
-
Watching how it affects play, this killer won't be able to make use of any injury builds at all. Thanataphobia, sloppy butcher, coulorphobia, even nurses calling will be useless if your using her power. Can definitely expect this killer to dedicate to one target at a time or its wasted effort once infected.
-
I hope they do change some things, depip because the survivors are playing selfishly or poorly isn't the kind of tougher ranking anybody was asking for.

As stated above, corrupting all of them instantly purifies them all at once.
Sorry missed that one. Any addons that effect this or are we forced to keep a few clear to ensure the pressure?
-
Let them take the totems, mine are all dull anyway.
-
Anybody test out letting the survivors corrupt all the fountains so they can't heal up? Might be good strategy to ensure they are weakened before upping your power.
-
I farm bp for my killers by playing survivor. Don't have BBQ and don't touch a killer until I hit level 50.
-
If it's quadruplets I know they're running gen rush perks, will be clustered together, and are asking me to tunnel to the best of my ability.
-
Maybe reinstate one random hex when a survivor dies. That way certain perks can't be abused with every hook.
-
They just require you to up your game and respect the killer's presence by encouraging stealth & avoidance over attention hogging. If they feel that oppressive, its more because they are highlighting weaknesses in a playstyle. Most killers; by perk or addons have an instant down and prevent the aggro tank from abusing attention for an easy win (still not guaranteed). Performing a mori is more restrictive now than in the past and can be denied if playing well. Hex options can be destroyed so not much is there in terms of op. Its skill vs skill, the killer can have a devastating loadout and still not kill anyone if the survivors are just better.
-
Make it similar to a killer blind, center visible but the frame darkens to block out the hud and stops auras. Giving them a narrow view that limits visual awareness without bumping into walls.

Pig: "Am I a joke to you?"
I like Ms piggy but;
Unfortunately it is so. Slowing down for your most effective strike potential means most of the time your not at full speed. That and your power means almost nothing once you are in chase, which turns you into an m1 killer with no power.
-
Very detailed, good job
I prefer tier 1 for all game (mostly just 4 fun), if your not wasting time with stalking and staying out of LOS or using its breakers, even good survivors get caught. Granted it can't always work but its definitely fun.
Would definitely use your advice competitively though.
-
Love the design, wonder how long before more cosmetics will arrive after release.
-
The time length will be everything. It needs to be long enough that just waiting isn't very viable but short enough that survivors can still prevent a 3 gen strategy. Won't place it now but this can easily tip one way or the other.
-
Looking forward to the killer on both sides.
Being able to combine different statuses would be great for versatility and surprising survivors. Looks like infected survivors will need to avoid interactive points to counter spreading it or risk powering up the killer early on.
-
If you watch the survivors in the stream, infected ones pause to puke and Dev's said you can raise the infection by being to active. Until we get ptb, I would assume it builds like madness for doc with the maxed version causing more frequent noise & vomiting.

Most balanced killer. 80% of the killer roster is just straight up worse than him in every aspect LUL
Balanced doesn't mean resting between the whole roster, which several are low end for the purpose of fun design not competitive viability. When he is played well, survivors can feel the pressure but he is still bound by traditional chase weaknesses.
-
Killer looks good and will be interesting to see what other cosmetics they have in mind. I can only hope that she is faster than 110 movement speed. We have yet to receive one female that isn't running impaired.
-
I think its fine as is. Survivors have full control over it when compared to the killer's usage. 5/6 of a match to stop it vs 1/6 to use it and Thats when there is nothing left to keep survivors around.
-
No, it's up to teammates to make smart safe saves and then its your responsibility to stay out of sight. I'm not expecting the killer to pretend they didn't see me cause I picked a bad hiding spot or ran in the wrong direction. Killer's only responsibility is to kill the person in front of them.
-
Most balanced killer, can be extremely tough but beatable when you pickup on the the player's style.
-
With the console optimization they announced Im really hopeful this happens at some point.

What platform do you play on? And do you report these people?
If they are bad enough, most things I will just overlook as circumstantial. Playing on Xbox now that my PC started falling apart. This community has me strictly solo, so many kids that haven't hit puberty or competitive maturity.
-
Im hoping the new killer has stealth mechanics without some kind of slowing effect for survivor safety/incompetence.
-
Pizza Dwight, he is one with the bushes.
-
3 survivors on gens> killer in 1v1> survivor in chase
Thats normally how it goes if the killer is good. The only exception that I'm aware of is if that 1 survivor's skill exceeds the killer's. In which case killer ends up dead last for survivors to mock in end chat.
-
No thanks, aside from other methods of seeing who your playing with, there are plenty of people I have no interest in playing alongside or against based on their behavior.
-
So far the only counter I have for this is not wasting effort if I know the last gen is in 90%s & gonna pop. Wait till after so I don't have to do a repeat performance and hope to position myself so the speed burst doesn't matter.
-
I like the uncertainty of how many are left, both as survivor & killer. The thought of potential danger cause I didn't find all 5 adds some suspense to the endgame. Not that finding totems is hard, but as killer having survivors give up to do gens or gamble that the rest of the team did them is the only way to get any use out of them. Personally I recommend against using hexes, but a counter is a sure fire way to be made useless.
-
Staring at the killer while in chase causes increasing tunnel vision from panic & fear(like killer blind without center blacked out)
-
Billy
Large tr
Normal movement speed
Effective power
Can be beaten with in/out of chase tactics
-
I Sabo hooks near untouched gens, that way when we are near endgame the killer has to slug or abandon gen defense to hook.
-
Thanks for the answer, its nice to know for sure.
-
I've started assuming its when I get/see wildly mismatched survivor to killer ranks and almost always a corn farm map multiple games in a row.
-
I wouldn't find it so unbearable if I knew there was an underlying purpose to it all. But if this is just really bad RNG, it's soul crushing.
-
We don't need rewards on either side, just tighter restrictions so these people can stay out of matches where we actually want to play. Put them in a shame Que as a warning method before a ban, let them prove they are worthy to rejoin the rest of us.
-
I hope its not another phasing killer, I'd rather not switch modes as it can cost valuable time & opportunities. Seems like a speed reduction always accompanies these as well.
-
I started as a killer so I understand why some do it unprovoked, but my issue isn't with them. While I understand the implications it will have on the team, I now require distinct proof that the team is worth saving. I would rather do 2 Gens as the last survivor then help another sandbagging point farmer.
-
They have done it. Well now I can't even save others from the hook. The danger teammates present to myself is just to great. Sorry its your 1st and last but I can't be bothered to care anymore. Not even wglf can give me the incentive, so I hope you got a swf buddy to help.

The idea is that you won't be able to tell which is which.
Again, only encourages the killer to stay on one person at a time. At best it only works if the killer can't track worth a damn.
-
I don't like or want to tunnel, but if everybody is the same, I'm just gonna single you down so I don't lose count of who has what left.
-
That's got to be one of the worst counters excuses out there. If everyone looks the same, what possible reason would a killer have to switch targets. I say swf cause my solo ques are horrible which is almost never, but while playing killer its all swf running gen buster build. Gens I could care less about but they are all mirror copies.
-
Either the new system is playing a bad joke on me or normal is just pairing me with constant swf. Had two gens pop before I could patrol to the third.
-
Woh now, we can't have survivors feeling like they are in actual danger. What do you think this is, some kind of murderous hunting game?
-
Is it me or does the skin look a little cooked, maybe one of the perks will deal with a new injury status.
-
Any competent survivor knows they have the upperhand when the team is focused with few to no mistakes. Solo or swf, when done right the killer can be left wasting huge amounts of time, crippling the chance of a snowball effect. Killer does have some good tools in their arsenals, but most are situational enough they can be avoided if you know what to watch for.
