Freddy is not useless, he was just toned downed to soon, way before the community had time to adapt. When this long awaited rework is released hopefully some of the most obvious issues get clearly addressed.
-
Is this part of a counter for deranking, giving uneven pairing so you can keep rank?
-
I don't think the impact would be as great as you make it out to be. It still allows room for technical issues without punishment. The wait time wouldn't change until players are actually showing signs of intended abuse and until nearing final tiers before a ban are still paired into regular lobbies.
-
No such build, but the body blocking is the issue.
-
This makes my tier 1 Myers so sad, we need a fix for the serious case of butterfingers.
-
I find that keeping chases short on either side feels much more rewarding. Treading over the same loop path is boring as killer and making the killer blindly search right after being spotted is far more satisfying then pallet after pallet.
-
Why? She is the best challenge you can get in this game, at the moment anyways.
-
Instant-down or not all the killers are beatable. The more skilled a player is the more that gap looks like imbalance. You can't call it op where the interactions are 1v1 cause asymectrics require the killer to have the advantage there. Survivor advantage is that objectives can be met in 4 separate places at the same time with cooperation expediting the process. 1 shots only impede upon the teams ability to shorten the killers hunting time by reducing said time 1 survivor can occupy as a distraction. Honestly if every killer had the exact same approach to wiping A team out Survivor would be unbearably boring and competitively predictable.
-
I get the opposite when playing killer. Since I've been focused on survivor, my killer rank is at an all time low but survivors are still much higher up. Pairing perfected loopers with 1 noob survivor is not a balanced match.
-
Tier 1 Myers all game
-
So they rinse and repeat, when they want to play they will have to accept something. Maybe don't load in as quadruplets or double date twins.
-
Its the killer's job to oppress and kill you, at no point do i expect them to humor me with more chances than I earn.
Please mister killer sir, may I have some more chances? Lol 😂
-
It rarely goes off multiple times in its current version, I feel that the Dev's could have left it alone.
-
I don't even need a kill as long as I prove I can outmaneuver them multiple times. If every team member has been downed 6 or more times and bleedout is less than 60% without camping, it's a good indication I can hang their ego on my mantle. Making them crawl out is the cherry to my win.
-
Would love some button sequence challenges, would be way more fun than hold this button and tap that one. Or even the current skill check with multiple smaller success zones where you have to hit each one.
-
I don't see why the game couldn't use both ? At least the perk would have rewarded killer for applying pressure and encouraged teamwork while also discouraging tunneling
-
So what if enduring eats it, that's one less perk option killers have if they want the counter. With ds being more situationally dependant I think killers will be far less concerned with countering than they are with the its current state.
-
I actually enjoy most of those features as a survivor. They spice things up and prevent me from just counting out how many chances till I die. If there was no variety, surprises or chance of increased danger I wouldn't even touch survivor. While I can't say I'm happy with the results every time, it's those extreme situations that feel the most rewarding when I best the killer.

Cosmetics that are equipped to a killers power slot. Visual changes to the power's effect/use.
Doc- different color electricity (red)
Billy- chainsaw with firy blades when revved
Trapper- variants of the beartrap
Clown- Leakey bottles, glass flask, mason jar, alternative smoke colors
-
I always approach solo as if I am last survivor and no hatch is available. Even if the team is bad, that's the standard of skill you have to surpass. Swf have it easy, so to speak, but I can't see the Dev's balancing that and solo without detracting from the team. Any solo buffs would only aid swf or neuter the challenge of solo altogether.

She dont require that skill, i just played like 5 match and in 3 of them did 3k, she easily counter any loop because she's so tall
Yea she is tall which means if you are gonna loop you have to be more selective where to do it. Low cover means she has a power advantage if they can aim. As for the wins, like I said, she is upper tier and I would attribute the rest to personal skill. The addons I would say are fine they just need to be rarity rebranded.
-
Good balance, it has a counter but killer has to dedicate a perk slot for it. Not every killer will be running enduring, I know I won't be unless its a pallet eater build.
-
Thana & sloppy butcher would of only been bad for selfcare, healing perks and teamwork would have been encouraged and just as effective. Its not like less tunneling wouldn't have been embraced.
-
She is definitely upper tier material but not broken. In the right hands any killer can come across as op, but most of the player base can't get a full scope of functional counters/tactics from a ptb. And vile over loops is not an issue, that's bad survivor tactics. Looping where a ranged killer has clear view of you, lol.
-
Im all for the ptb thana, its a good incentive to change targets instead of tunneling.
-
Was looking forward to the change as I have the perk on most of my killers, but I guess it will continue to collect loadout dust.
So very sad
-
So you can't beat the sprinting killer in a foot race, oh I don't know maybe try stealth. Its really hard to tunnel a person you can't find.
-
Not much comparison, neither killer is so "busted" that they can't be beaten solo. Swf just has more advantages that don't rely on perk use, allowing a wider selection for the team's benefit over individual information.
-
They can't do survivor compensation because scummy swf would abuse it. Crazy how some bad players can screw it both ways.
-
Noed has a requirement, those that complain just don't want to admit that they are in control of it. You have 5 gens to ensure the killer never gets it, a notification after the first use, and can destroy it. All of this can be done without wasting a perk to counter it. Killer on the otherhand is praying that their useless perk is able to activate if they need it. Your arguing against a situation the killer needs you to permit.
-
Survivor dc is just as rewarding as a kill for me. It the ultimate compliment to a killer; your so scared to try you had to suicide.
-
I like the perk but rarely use it. Most of the time I don't need it and reserve it for killers that have weak tracking.
-
Hopefully they adjust the new ranking system properly. But also; Why is it only bad killers when noed is mentioned? Never once have I seen a post attributing its use to a skilled killer. Yes the perk can help a bad one, but if their skill is that low you should be able to win 1 last chase while the gate is being opened. If they are too strong maybe they baited you into false security.
-
Killer is stressful, so much so that I don't even play matches normally anymore. I mess around and try to play mind games or just practice downing people. Killer is much more enjoyable when you remove the stress of an objective. Watching survivors crawl to the exit always provides a laugh.
-
This is one of the few things Freddy excels at. I don't have to deal with any of that unless I want to, even better if your a ds user so it rewards me.
-
It's usually a an achievement or daily ritual.
-
I find solo continues to grow more fun for me. I accept that teammates are usually self focused and expect little to no aid in return. Killer is gonna do whatever they want or feel is necessary and only forces me to improve. And I hope that voice comms is never pushed on me for the sake of balance. Nothing ruins a game faster for me than annoying background noise that has nothing to do with the game.
-
Aside from a few specific legion mains that camp, I don't see why legion is an issue. Once you see the killer adjust your plans to counter them.
-
If they don't then they end up with the broken status all match. Most don't want to risk being 1 hit all game and they will infect the others as well. If the whole team does this/its a concern, use some perks to keep looping to a minimum.
-
Ready since the announcement, the current narcolepsy for a power was not great representation for someone titled the nightmare.
-
Screw it, I started replacing it with perks that benefit if I'm injured or to ninja my way out of a tight spot.
-
Players that complain/salty when losing or not being able to beat a clear advantage on the opposing side. For example not being able to beat Legion in a Chase, not being able to learn Loop the nurse because she ignores obstacles, or Killers complaining about all four survivors bringing items. Items are the survivors Advantage when paired with good team synergy. Killers all have different weaknesses and strengths & trying to beat them at their advantage is how you lose or in some cases show they have no skill.
-
I respectively disagree, survivor continues to grow more fun for me. As for 360, it only really works on less experienced killers. It might work once in awhile at higher ranks, but after that they know to expect it from you.
-
When making corrupt intervention what was the reasoning behind making it active at the start of a match versus a shorter timer activated by hooking a survivor?
-
More fair with it being blocked both ways.
-
Solo play is getting more fun in my opinion. Since I am usually alone I have no issues with poor quality teamwork and having difficult killers makes it that much more enjoyable when I out play them and any swf I was paired with. Still survivor is my relaxation mode for bp farming.
-
It does get annoying and can interfere with sound tracking if your not using perks for hunting purposes.
-
Hell no, I want my killers for free.
-
I'm really looking forward to her release can't wait to start puking on everyone. I honestly don't think she needs any real changes, although I think it would be nice bonus if the fountains didn't Auto cleanse; to give you more versatility with how much pressure you can apply. Survivors would have to get a little more tactical in when they choose to heal.
-
I think the plagues range is fine. Its just another killer that can punish close proxy looping if there's not proper cover. She still has far less range than the other throwing killers and requires tighter continuous accuracy if you want to speed up the infection without multiple reloads.
