Why reverting Thana is good

Guys seriously, it's been 3 years and you all act like you forgot the issue of DbD and how to fix it.

SURVIVORS don't want to hold M1 even longer. At the same time gens are going to fast sometimes. Solution: 2nd objective.

Idk why people lost the focus on how to fix this game. It's a second objective we ALL really want, not a bandaid fix with a perk and an even more boring experience for survivors.

Especially some Legion mains here should be ashamed to cry about Thana after they know very well what a mess Legion is.

All I want to try is to remind you: 2nd objective is what we need and really want, F thana and all those band-aid fixes!

  • Agreed, I wanted a Thana buff, but longer progress bars are NOT the way to go.

  • Holding m1 a few seconds longer wont kill anyone

  • 2nd Objective with good BP bonuses would change this game for many people. Think of the Halloween event, but not quite that bad.

  • Maybe look at the killer uproars again...

Theyre not only tossing the buff into the bin, theyre also going to nerf the current one.

No sorry but things need to change, so something need to be done.

Your argument is used since release, nothing has been done.

Pretty sure now that it is used to "block" the whole situation, so nothing change and some peoples could keep their advantages.

    Sad manchilds they are.

Quite problematics that you all hate doing gens that much that adding few little seconds are such a pain for ya.

It's like a good part of the gameplay.

Maybe this game isn't for you all.

  • Thanato needed a buff, this buff is what it needed, but them reverting the buff but instead NERFING IT was not needed, want the progress bars to go faster, then don't run self care

  • NERF not a revert, it was actually nerfed

  • Exactly making changes to the base game without a perk is needed not simply buff a perk to make the game play monotonous.

The second objective idea is what has been asked for and it's why making a perk which lets be honest would become meta is a bad idea as it's like you say a band aid fix, unless you have the perk nothing changes, it also negates the whole emblem system as that is by designed with screwing around in mind.

Survivors should see a benefit in healing up and want too as it slows the game down, not healing up removes more than just the one hit, it removes players taking more risks, flashlight saves, taking hits etc which also means they are not on gens.

I always say be careful what you wish for, if a player can waste over a minute before a hit what really changes? They still need to get them to the hook, That is still 3 gens done before the first hook, with thana still being useless as it's tier 1, then they save and they just rush gens again.

What thana does is punish newer players as it's the only one it would work on and they arent the problem anyway.

It would turn the game into do gens and get out, no matter what happens to gens or healing the good players would adapt and it won't make a difference, they already did with the healing nerfs and use adrenaline and now certain killers complain (the usual ones on here) about that when it never used to be a problem.

It does seem the vast majority don't even care about the thana nerf as it's only a few player complaining.

Personally I would never use it anyway, just like I don't use ruin, its situational and I have other perks I think are more fun to use.

Everyone keeps saying adapt and when they do and use another perk suddenly that's too strong, each time has been the same story.

As I said be careful what you wish for.

  • Thana yes needs TLC but it may need a rework----> like surv got the TLC it needed thana needs that sort of TLC.... I hope next update doesn't bring new killer and survivor I hope it brings TLC for the game...McLean mentioned new end game coming soon in a previous stream...

I literally just try to run the killer around some games because its so boring to do nothing but hold m1 all game

Killer is so much more fun to play. At least theres variety.

  • I don't see why the game couldn't use both ? At least the perk would have rewarded killer for applying pressure and encouraged teamwork while also discouraging tunneling

Indeed, rather than hold M1 all game, you get to run in circles all game. Truly, much variety.

  • @Kagrenac Then if you want to heal faster, run empathy/bond and find a teammate to come heal you/both you and them and you will get the match started again

    Done done :)

M1 is braindead, getting chased is interactive and against smart killer not just running in circles for 5 gens.

  • Ignore this comment, forums screwed me up. :)

  • That's the problem though, Games are going way to fast due to gen times, Most killers need something to help slow down the game.

It might be deemed 'unfun' to have a few seconds added to actions but People only want the Thana buff to help them out with the time crunch killers are already on.

  • @Hoodedfengm1n Uh, wha? Huh, weird. I posted that comment in the section with the dude complaining about getting banned...

Punishing survivors for mistakes is not a good move, even if they have ample tools to help them. Next patch, when a killer hits someone he also gives him a key to exit the game faster. I know it doesnt seem fair, but that's just your opinion ... a valid one. If you dont like it, play survivor or go play Civilization.

    Name is program.

  • you are right.

still, at this state of the game we do not have a 2nd objective, so all we can do is to make them hold M1 longer or get genrushed and lose.

i am okay with thanatophobia getting nerfed once an actual secondary objective is realeased, but right now we actually need it.

You are kinda right, I'm just afraid that once the devs bandaid fixed genrush they will tell us that a 2nd objective isn't necessary anymore cuz they gave us tools to combat that issue.

  • Thana buff they had planned was too much anyways.
