U don't chase as hag. U place traps.

Learn the routing of survivors (observe or play yourself) and u know where to place traps. That's it for the most part.

I think i know some good places(often used loops, certain pallets) would those be a good place to start?

I am not a great hag so don't take me so seriously but I find the following strategies to be very useful for the hag.

Don't always place traps around the loops and pallets. You can waste the pallet but you might not get a hit, there are common routes that every survivor uses, so try to have 2-3 traps on those routes to get a free hit.

Always be ready to teleport. You should never make them comfortable enough to sprint around the map and destroy your traps.

Use sloppy butcher. Survivors want to heal against a hag because they might get a free hit. It will slow down the game quite a bit.

I love MYC and I think it is a must have.

Some areas are dead areas and there is no reason to place traps. You should choose 5 generators that are closest to each other and play your game around that part of the map.

Never give up. Hag has the potential to snowball and she has her moments where she wins the game. If you lose 2-3 generators before your first hook as a wraith, you will most likely lose but as a hag, there is always a chance.

More experienced hags can give you better advice but these should be enough for a beginner hag.

  • The grinding for perks is real.

Either one tier for every perk, or allow us to get 3 perks per bloodweb if they don't want to touch perk tiers.

I am surprised that they still haven't done anything about this.

  • Instead of solving the problem lets create another one.

    Clap.

This idea that "because he eventually killed you" and "he didn't prolong the match" is exactly why we have little shits like that still running around in the game.

In any other game something like this would immediately be labeled as greifing, no matter how long the time (unless you're playing Rust, in which case you better be prepared to be someone's little prisoner)

    My thoughts exactly.

Also, OP waited for quite a long time. 8 minutes is another game and tbh I can't know whether he is waiting for his NOED or taking the game hostage. I would DC after 1 or 2 minute.

People understand the evil intention here but they try to defend their side at whatever cost. Truly saddening.

Then you get much less items.

I think a better idea, would be that once you’re at P3L50, you could press a button in the middle of the web to “reroll” your current bloodweb. You could keep doing this until you see things on the web you like, and start spending your bloodpoints. However, once you’ve started spending on a bloodweb, you cannot reroll until that web is completed.

This means you could only reroll fresh bloodwebs, and this stops people from going directly for a perk, and then rerolling and getting another perk.

I 100% disagree with your post.

Item, addon and offering distribution is already good. Because of the last even, there are keys, mories, third blinks, intsa hatchets everywhere and the game is really unfun at the moment. I face 7 purple/skeleton keys as a killer (out of 10), and in more than half of my survivor matches there were ebony mories.

In the second part of your post, you said that it would prevent people getting the perks easily. Why do you not want them to get the perks easily though? It is grindy af to get all the perks at the moment.

All in all, bloodpoints earning rate and the game's economy is quite balanced imo. The only problem with the grind is perks and they should be easier to acquire. OP's idea is quite good imo, another approach would be allowing players to get 2 or 3 perks per bloodweb.

  • I will be honest here.

When I play survivor If I am not gonna play another game, I just open netflix or my book and start to watch or read something while I wait for the hit sound.

If I am gonna continue to play, I just jump in. 5-7k is not that important for me.

As a killer, if I am clown (I generally play him), I will hit the survivor with my bottles to get my devi points, and then hit him.

There is no need to wait for the survivor to jump in as a killer. You have to constantly pay attention etc. while survivor can do whatever he wants to do. I don't see any point waiting that much.

This is my personal opinion though. For some people 4k is really important and I can't judge it.

  • Could be but if I know devs a little bit, this perk is not gonna change until the game dies.

We still have perks like surveillance, monstrous shrine etc. They are not gonna change this perk.

  • Imagine complaining about windows as legion. L M ######### A O

What next, using pallets against a nurse OP?

  • It seems to me it was due to latency, she hit the place where you had been a second ago.

Dedicated servers could kinda solve this problem I hope.

    • Deep wound
    • Broken

    Is this ultra rare worthy?

Broken would be good, I don't know about the others.

  • The new ultra is actually a nerf.

You can't let go survivors as a pig so I can't see deep wound to be useful.

It is gonna prevent me catching off guard injured survivors and downing them. It really is a nerf for the ambush.

I'm already satisfied with the game, very much so.

Yes, it's a real thing. No, it's not bad that it happens. Yes, it's bad that it CAN happen.

But if BBQ and NOED were removed, would you be satisfied with the game? If not, then what else would bother you?
(I only asked about these two perks because I see a lot of people complain about them)

    I wouldn't be.
What would bother me is their removal, the thing that i like about Survivor is overcoming big odds.
    These are big odds.

The problem with genrush is that it is one of the few 'counters' you have against an omegablink nurse, and if the nurse is good, I don't think you will get out of that match alive even if you try to genrush.

Genrush is a real thing and although really good killers can avoid it (zubat, scott etc.) the majority of killer base struggles with it a lot. They need to make changes to ebony mories, insta hatchets, insta chainsaws, third and omegablinks to actually create secondary objectives for survivors.

I think the best way to balance the game is to introduce different objectives for different killers (I don't see that happening though) because there is no way that we can create a game where leatherface and nurse are on the same page.

    This

It is very unreliable, sometimes it gets activated and sometimes it doesn't work at all. I got rescued by a borrowed time user and immediately went down against a camper trapper, he was really close.

I stopped using borrowed time for now.

Also Zubat, Bahroo (Doesn't play as much as he used to) and Marth88 (Stopped playing though) are all good killers that can do well with average or below average killers.

FunGoose is one of the best killers I have ever seen and he is very educational. My gameplay improved a lot after watching him. He teaches you A LOT.

I personally watched monto and tru3 and I genuinely believe that they are overrated for some reason. Monto doesn't play very good and tru3 is your above average killer. That is just my opinion though.

    How about this

    Dying Light

Every time your obsession is hooked every survivor gets a speed penalty to all actions

    of 10% 15% 25%

Sounds kinda cool but does it stack and for how long will the survivors have the effect and what will the downside be?

Considering that DS has no downside that benefits the killer and sole survivor has nothing that benefits the killer i would say my version would have no downside .

    P.S. yes they would stack

So survivors would get 75% action speed penalty if the obsession gets hooked 3 times

meaning that it would take like 200 seconds to repair a single generator all by yourself

    understandable

edit bad math still could be bad math damn percentages

  • @Acromio said:
The Nurse should be reverted to her release self (115% movement speed and 3 blinks by default).

    wait

is this her release state? I knew about the 3 blinks but 115% ms.

These devs think that giving the legion 115% ms would be unfair?

    End me.

  • I really like this idea.
    David should be boldness
Bill should be alturism imo. Borrowed time is for that and unbreakable for going down for your tunneled teammates and getting up. His other perk is trash so Idk.

  • Deranking SHOULD NOT be the solution, killers just kill low skill survivors' games by doing that. Stating that, I can't blame them, I didn't get out of the purple ranks myself because I know that I am not gonna find games in red ranks.

There is nothing to fix, people prefer playing killer especially on bloodpoint events because it is easier to get points with killers. Ratio is not 1 to 4 so neither BHVR nor players can solve it unfortunately.

  • I think the reason why generally killer dailies pops up (my experience and the killers that I watch) is because the devs fear that there might not be enough killers for survivors to play with. However, the ratio is not 1 to 4 so this approach is just terrible.

I think that people should not be forced to play a role that they don't want to play.

I agree with you, you should be able to complete rituals by playing either role. I hope they change it soon.

How many gens were left? Lol.

If he was on the hill for 20 minutes that makes it really easy to do the gens and escape. You must be a newbie. Stop complaining and get good.

When the killer is camping the hatch I’m escaping 90% of the time.

20 minutes is way more than enough time to plan out which gens to do, keep them at 99%, and plan in what order to pop them.

I mean this sums up very well, I have nothing to add.

He made a terrible choice and you fed him, you could easily do all the generators by yourself.

You could even complete a generator to bait him to get the hatch, if he wouldn't move, you could complete the remaining generators.

Hatch is pretty much survivor sided enough, no need to make it easier.

  • Bond for repairing generators with somebody else. It really is easy to pass 5k objectives with completing 2 generators with somebody else. Think about it, by the time you repair 1 generator and get 1.250 bloodpoints you repair 2 generators and get something like 6k

WGLF No need to explain this I think

Self care for taking hits and healing yourself

Either an exhaustion perk or saboteur with toolbox for easy bloodpoints. Saboteur with toolbox is safer and easier than getting chased but exhaustion perks give you more advantage if you somehow get chased.

This is the best I have tried so far.

    Unhooking
Getting hit next to a injured survivor
Getting hit next to a downed survivor
Getting hit while the killer carries a survivor
    Flashlight save
    Pallet save a carried survivor

    Maybe I'm bad at math.

You are not bad at math, you are bad at logic.

Every single one of them depends on the killer and the survivor that is being chased. The killer might suck at the game and you might never get a single chance to receive a token.

It just doesn't end there though. Other people might save, somebody might go down at the other end of the map, killer might not be enough braindead one so he might actually face a wall to avoid flashlight saves etc.

Even if you are a godlike survivor, it is not in your hands to get tokens.

I don't play all the killers but I play the huntress and the clown, only time that I am not able to get my 4 tokens is when somebody DCs.

You don't necessarily have to suck as a survivor to not get tokens but at this state, you should be really bad at killers to not get your tokens.

Of course, just like any other thing, even in this problem it must be more difficult to do something as a killer than as a survivor. It is always 'easier' to do something as a survivor than as a killer and killers get pointy end of the stick 'all the time'

  • It wouldn't be a good addon, even if this is her base power, still wouldn't be a good feature. Actually, it would make her even less of a threat

You can't break a chase with the pig like the legion. I can't see any reason to leave your prey to mend themselves tbh.

On top of that, since the attack applies deep wound effect, you can't even down injured survivors with your ambush, it would eat from the timer. Really, it would be a nerf for the pig.

  • @Raptorrotas said:
And yet again the whole 4k theory....

Do you as survivor want to escape?
    Yes? Good thats nice.
But you have to stop moving ans let the killer kill you once someone else did the last generator.

Sounds stupid? Strange, but thats what you're expecting of killers.

    Not a good argument.

If killers can want 4k, why can not survivors want 4 escape? Why do they have to want to escape by themselves instead of getting everybody out?

The problem lies here. What you want is irrelevant because it changes from person to person. You said that as a survivor you want to escape? Yes? No, my answer is no. I want all 4 of survivors to escape, not by myself and this is my win condition therefor the game must be balanced around it. Although it sounds ridiculous, this mindset belongs to most of the killers.

This is why SWF groups sometimes become too toxic since they couldn't save their 1 friend and they were only be able to escape as 3. They expect every single one of their group members to escape and as a killer if you kill one of them, you get harrased in chat after the match.

4 escapes and 4 kills should be rare occasions, not a regular thing.

Ebony mories and purple/skeleton keys almost break the whole game. I wish they didn't exist in the first place.

I don't mind purple or green items though. I think this would be a cool buff for the plunderer's instinct.

  • This is one of the core problems of this forum. People love creating theories upon theories and when you take a look at them, you see how absurd they are. Both sides do this btw.

Breakdown OP perk. Yeah, wasting a perk slot that could take 8 seconds with a toolbox to be only used for 2 times in a match is OP and unbalanced.

Everybody was gonna use borrowed time as if survivors give a damn about each other. Why run borrowed time instead of adrenaline or self care or balanced landing or DS?

Survivors do the same thing. Everybody started to talk about how OP aura perks were after a certain perk got buffed (Bitter murmur I believe). Somebody called me an idiot for saying that the buff bitter murmur got was very useless since it allows you to see the survivor around a finished gen as if you don't know there is somebody out there. Also it draws killers to a dead area where there is no generators to eat the pallets, instead of eating pallets near unfinished generators. Great aura reading perk, I am sure every single killer is using it right now.

Practice is different than theories. This is why the game is not as unbalanced as forum members claim it to be. True, in theory as a killer you can get obliterated 100 times in a row but when you go and play the actual game, you see that you get more 4 or 3ks than 2-1-0ks.

I do not consider vaulting windows to be an exploit but using infinites were an exploit in my opinion. Was it bannable? Nope but the devs had to correct it.

I think this 'method' is the same thing. I can't blame killers using it but it was not intended therefor it must be corrected.

Ur assumption is pretty biased. I watch several streamers, Germans, Americans, British etc all over the world, small and big. Some streamers get 90% potatoes and other get nearly every match tryharding swf groups.
But whatever, let's jump on ur train and follow ur logic: basically u say as long as it's only 10% of the matches u have no chance to counter no matter how good and quick ur chases are it's alright? U ever played some competitive high skilled games like dark Souls pvp or fighting games like mortal kombat? It seems like ur a casual player and don't care about that skill matters for the outcome of a win or lose.

First of all, if you watch streamers all around the world and if they get 90% potato survivors, there is no way that you don't get the same potatos. Again we play the same game.

Nope, I simply assume that in those 10% matches, survivors were better than me and I lost. You can't win always. Instead of claiming everybody to be potato, I like to find fault in my own playstyle.

I played dota2 and lol and some other competitive games and playing killer (Clown and huntress) ensured me more win rates than any other games out there. There must be something you are doing wrong if you think that huntress needs a buff right now.

There are going to be matches you lost, you lose and you will lose. You can't win all the matches. If it is just 10% games that are difficult for you, be happy.

I gotta to disagree. I'm a pretty terrible Huntress and do pretty bad with her but some of the streamers I watch who main her get 4k's every game with her without even trying. I think shes super stong and has a high skill cap so I say leave her the way she is, at the moment the more you play of her the easier she will become. I think it is ok for some killers to have weaknesses.

Which streamers? I know some who are running against potato survivors 90% of the time. Also, her weakness is already that she has to move away to reload unlike the clown + 110% movement speed only.
Also I'm quite confused why u admit that ur bad at huntress but want to talk about buffs. Normally, u should try ur ass off and git gud with the killer till u know nearly every aspect (strengths and downsides) of it and see where the problems are. And if u really think huntress is immune against genrush I really doubt u have enuf game knowledge to discuss about those topics.
The only killer who is absolute immune against genrush is an omegablink nurse.

We all play the same game, as long as those streamers don't 'pay' for the survivors they are facing to be bad, you are running against those 90% potato survivors as well.

The reason why they are doing good against 'potato' survivors but you can't is because you are a potato killer as well. Sorry to say that but there is no other reasonable explanation. Oh If you don't do badly, then there is no reason to buff a balanced killer.

Looping a huntress is already difficult, shack is not safe, some jungle gyms are not safe and low obstacles are not safe since with the new updates she can throw her hatchets and get hits.

Her weakness is that when she runs out of her hatchets, she has to go and reload allowing survivor to lose her. What you want is basically negates this without sacrificing anything.

Either get better at her and get your downs before you run out of 5 hatchets or use a perk slot to compensate your weakness.

She is one of the strongest and best killers out there, doesn't need any buffs.

  • Nerfing SWF will leave a bad impression on SWF teams. They will think that just because they are playing the game with their friends, they are getting punished.
Buffing solo survivors to SWF level without making SWF stronger is the only way but it is damn difficult. Most of solo survivor buffs will benefit SWF teams as well.
Balancing around SWF will be difficult as well. Most SWF teams are not that good at all. They have their own weaknesses like alturism.
The only way to bring the game to SWF level and balance around them is introducing in game voice chat for everybody. In that way, they can monitor the game and start to buff killers to match survivors. Personally, I don't see any other way around this.
Stating that, even at this state, I don't have any problems with SWF. It is a bit more challenging but you can get end game hooks and kills since they don't want to leave anybody behind. It is not that problematic imo.

  • 67% of games include SWF.
Most killers would dodge the lobbies.
SWF groups who can't find lobbies would give up playing the game.
DbD would lose a lot of players, income and potential.
Decrease in numbers might trigger further decrease and the game might potentially die.

Don't get me wrong. I understand why killers don't want to play against SWF teams. Sometimes people say that killers want EZ matches but I can understand that SWF brings unasked difficulty into the game and completely ruins some aspects of the game (your totem placement, map wide awareness, your perks etc.)

However, there is nothing that the devs can do about SWF. Any action against players who want to play a multiplayer game with their own friends might backfire. Except for QoL changes like dead survivors not being able to see the killers' perks at the end of the trial until the trial is actually over, I don't see any changes happening soon.
