Point system in this event is better. You can get every cosmetic by grinding.
Bloodpoints and offering distribution was better in Hallowed blight event.
All in all, as a solo survivor, I think hallowed blight was better than this.
-
Yeah this event favors survivors too much, it is difficult to play the game due to lobby times.
They should raise the points for hooking survivors from 2 to 5. I mean, it might destroy the event's idea but it would be better for killers. 9 hooks=45 points
There should be more offerings per bloodweb, it is difficult to keep up with the game. Blight event was very good in this regard, 2 or 3 per bloodweb would be cool.
It would be lovely if survivors and killer could get extra points for completing generators and hooking survivors just like BBQ event.
Everything that has to be done to make the event perfect

-
Lantern effect would be the worst fear of P3 claudettes
It would be cool imo
-
You don't need to bother anyway.
First outfit is really easy, I just played 1 or 2 hours yesterday and got 2 coins and 2 pieces of cosmetic. I am pretty sure that I am gonna get 2 outfits until the event ends.
The only difficult one is the third one.
-
If you don't want the last outfit, you don't need to bother with the event at all.
Just doing gens and hooking people will give you enough points to get the first one at least. I am not sure about the second one because some people play the game a lot, some don't.
-
Essentially nothing.
I really don't get triggered by anything so whatever they do, they are not gonna earn them. I don't throw my games for a couple of useless people. I used to do that but they sometimes do escape in those scenarios due to borrowed time, adrenaline etc. I feel like If I play normally, their chances for survival is minimal in the first place.
You might be the most friendly non toxic survivor out there but sometimes if I have to tunnel to get a kill, I tunnel to win the game. Don't tell me 'good killers don't do that' because I have seen good killers doing the exact same thing when they have to.
All in all, I don't allow people to taunt me, that's it.

Feng>Huntress>Ace
I am gay too so I don't think it is related to sexuality lol
-
In the stream, they said that they did this to increase the competition and make it a little bit more dangerous.
You know, the lantern is corrupted and going to destroy it but then a survivor comes and picks it up, putting himself in danger.
IMO, it is not that of a great idea and survivors have lots of time to pick it up before it gets corrupted. For killers, the time frame is not enough. I wish they changed it but it is kind of too late.

It is solved for some of my friends, but not for me. Don't know what the hell is going on.
Didn't you have another special problem about rank reset too? As far as I remember, after rank reset, your rank remained the same.
Are you that unlucky in real life too?

Hope it gets solved soon enough btw
-
Yeah, as a survivor it is tough to get 50k per match to keep up with the bloodwebs.
It would be lovely if they increased the amount of offering per bloodweb. Survivors using offerings would help killers a lot as well.
-
I am surprised they didn't solve the problem for ps4.
Right now, PC players can get their coins, at least I do. Finding lobbies is difficult though.

@Blueberry said:
That's anecdotal.
In general it's just that survivors have tons of extra time to just screw around where as the killers do not. That's the simple answer.
Which I already mentioned in my post. Killers don't have the time that survivors have but they still have ways to BM that doesn't waste time at all, like nodding at you.
Killers losing something for hitting survivors on the hook is just a very bad argument in general. Killers bodyblocking the basement lose their time as well, so do survivors who refuse to leave the match after gates get opened.
BM is BM, one side is not over the other side or has the upper hand imo. If you want to grieve you can and the fact that you lose something because of it doesn't mean anything since grievers already accept this possibility. Tbaggers or flashlight clickers take the risk of getting tunneled. At that point they don't even care about winning or losing neither does the killer who repeatedly slashes survivors on the hooks.

@scorpio said:
This event seems super survivor sided in general. I remember when it was announced on the dev stream survivors freaked out thinking it was going to be so killer sided but in reality, survivors can get 25 points for escaping with a lantern, which isn't nearly as hard as they made it seem, while the killer only gets 3 points for destroying one? What? Destroying them isn't as easy as you made it seem either since we have no aura for them so we have no idea where they are, and we can only destroy them after hooking someone which means you have to know where the lantern spawns are and which ones, if any, currently have a lantern still on it, and/or be close enough to even get there in time. The time limit plus having no idea where they are makes it extremely hard to get more than 1 or 2 in a match even if there are 5-7 out there.Yeah, it is a lot easier for survivors imo.
Killers have to go out of their way to destroy the lanterns everytime they hook somebody, getting a lantern and holding onto it is not hard at all.
Getting points for hookings and gens seems easy for both sides though (I play clown and huntress so I don't know how hard it is for leatherfaces for example, so don't take me so seriously for this one)
-
I think hooking and completing generators should give you bloodpoints just like previous events. Other than this, I like the event.

@Blueberry said:
Seconds as a killer is MASSIVE when there are THREE other survivors hammering gens. You are underestimating that time a lot.
Tbagging and flashlight flicking doesn't get you killed because of how unbalanced the game is. They can just do it all they want at a pallet and simply move on to the next. Also, those seconds wasted on ONE survivor is hurting your killer time much, much more than the time he is wasting. The seconds aren't equal.
I play killer too, there were times that I literally got somebody because of tbagging (not flashlight clicking though)
It is true that killer has that time problem but getting that one hook might fck up survivors badly too. It just happened to me yesterday when I was playing killer, all survivors later flamed that dude who was trying to bm and getting caught easily because of that.
Also slashing somebody on the hook is not the only bm killers can do as well. They can nod at you, very similar to tbag which takes no time at all since you can do it on the move.
-
@Blueberry said:
The killer whacking you on the hook is punishing him by wasting time. Survivors tbagging and flashlight flicking behind pallets doesn't hurt their time so there's no punishment.1 hit takes maybe 2 seconds, not a great punishment.
Tbagging behind a pallet might get you killed, so does flashlight click.
Both sides can get away with their BMs easily. No need to put one side over the other in this situation.
-
I was hoping that we could get 4500 bloodpoint for gen completion and 5500 bloodpoint for hooking a survivor just like in the previous events.
I am a bit upset

-
@Bongbingbing said:
Survivors got it pretty easy this event, Just Gen rush for 20 points an then if you can, try grab a vessel and leave for another 25.
Yeah I thought I heard the same thing. He seems pretty sure though so I doubted myself.
-
What sucks for killers is that if I understood correctly, to get all the potential points, people have to use offerings.
If survivors can get 45 points without using offerings, killers should be able to do the same thing. At least as long as they use 1 offering for themselves.
-
@antgnstea said:
No actually survivors had it hard. Cause you have to escape trial to even earn generator points. Killers don’t have merciless killer bar to live up to it

In this event, you are not supposed to get every single cosmetic by just playing the game though. If you want, you need to grind hard.
First and second cosmetics are easy to get imo. The last one is the one that will be tough to get.
They could have allowed us to get 1 cosmetic for the event and pay for the rest of it. I am quite happy with the way they are taking right now.
You may compare this event with the past events but in the last BBQ event or moonrise event, there were 2 worthless cosmetics (well moonrise cosmetics were not terrible). It really is easy to get the first cosmetic in this event and it consists of 3 pieces.
-
They need to do something about shrine's randomness.
And I am saying this as a person who has all of the perks. It must be frustrating for people who are waiting for special perks.
-
I think that the achievement description is wrong.
No, you don't need to get 4k to get merciless victory. Even if you get 3k, you still can get the double pip with merciless victory.
For the achievement, as far as I remember, you need to get 4k. Ebony mori helps a lot.
-
I didn't notice anything.
Is there a video for comparison? I am pretty sure it would be an important discussion on the forum if something like that happened?

If prove thyself is not bugged right now, the only thing it does is to negate that natural debuff which makes you slower when you are working on a generator with somebody else. I know it because I use it. What I am gonna explain is related to the perk use, I don't know what happens if somebody else uses it.
You, survivor 1 and survivor 2 are working on different gens. It takes 80 seconds to complete them all.
You and survivor 1 are working on the same gen. If you don't have prove thyself, both of you are 10% slower and the bar is red. If you have the perk, the bar doesn't even become yellow. Survivor 2 does 1 generator in 80 seconds, you and survivor 1 does 1 generator in 40 seconds. If we ignore the time it requires to go to the next genny, with prove thyself, you are able to complete 3 gens in 80 seconds just like in the first scenario.
If you, survivor 1 and survivor 2 work on the same generator, the bar turns red meaning that it takes more than 80 seconds to complete 3 generators.
All prove thyself does is to negate a natural debuff which can be easily avoided by just working on different generators. No perk required.
You may ask, then, why the hell I use that perk if it is pointless. Completing a generator all by yourself gives 1250 points if we ignore the skill checks. If you complete a generator with somebody else, you earn approximately 4.5-5k bloodpoints if you use that perk. Keep in mind that you just repair half of the generator to get that amount of bloodpoints. It is a great bloodpoint perk imo.
That really is it. It is not a powerful perk, like at all. There is just enough drama though.

I agree, in those situations the crows should be nerfed, there are times when I shouldn't get a crow but get one anyway.
After this, the crows should be buffed. If you are the last survivor remaining alive, after a certain period of time, a crow should appear on top of your head in order to prevent game hostage situations. I don't think it should give sound notifications to the killer but just so that when you are close, you can hear the crow as a killer.

The reason why people DC against a nurse might be related to the last matches (I am not saying it is OK to dc though)
Sometimes people have pretty bad matches against a particular killer and they DC the first time they see that killer in the following matches.
This group seems to be a SWF and they have 4 DC. Most probably they decided together lol
Also 4 DC never happens btw.

@Juya said:
This is what the legion was, high map pressure with tons of mobility. The legion was basically a combo of the pig and the nurse. Yet many considered him weak, complained and asked for buffs.
And this is what we have now, a killer without counter-play.
I will disagree actually.
When I said high map pressure and mobility, I was referring to the killers like hillbilly, nurse, and spirit.
His mobility is almost nonexistent when it comes to crossing the map. Map pressure with mending? Kind of true but his base mechanic was so bad that the little pressure he exerted didn't mean anything.
This is why I said a killer like hillbilly. I don't think it is gonna be something like legion because they won't try to introduce a new mechanic like deep wounds this time because of the legion.

Dude, the nurse couldn't get her first hit before 2.25, what do you expect? Some nurses literally end the game before that mark with slugging.
I might be wrong but she couldn't get 1 hook in 4 min match, and the total number of hits she got was 2 if I am not mistaken.
Even though I believe that the gens are done pretty quickly, this video is not proof for anything. At this rate, even if we give her 40 min match, she still won't be able to get a kill.
-
I agree with @Peanits
If you have to combine no mither with another perk, it should be tenacity, not unbreakable.
-
Devs talked about a perk which would add the X amount of healing to your wiggle bar. Lets say that you were able to heal yourself up to 80%, your wiggle bar starts at 60%. I don't know what happened to that idea though.
As for base mechanic? I don't like it. Slugging is a way to play and only good killers can execute it well enough to benefit them. Others just lose their hooks for no reason. You can't expect killers to not camp, tunnel and slug honestly. Most of killers don't have potential to get 12 hooks in a match. Slugging helps them stalling the game.
-
I think that it would be a good idea to make some perks give more bloodpoints. They did that with prove thyself, I hope they add more options for other categories.
For example We'll make it --> 100% ingame bloodpoints bonus for alturism or healing (as far as I know, in game means that you reach the cap quicker)
Another good idea would be to raise the caps for each category. Killers can do all of the categories because it is literally their job but a survivor can't complete 5 generators, perform 6 unhooks, chased by the killer for 3-4 minutes and then escape the match. If they do, there is really a problem with that match. 16k for each category would be good, without changing the total cap so that you wouldn't get 64k.

I got a warning over this comment for "name and shaming". It was also removed."If you happen to be playing with Silverlink10 on the ps4 now I will not save any of you once the exit gates are powered. I am absolutely tired of people leaving me behind after I have done most of the gens or have ran the killer around the entire game. So you want to screw me over then I will do the same. Thanks for making me salty and selfish."
Now since the devs haven't answered my question I decided to post this back in the forum so as to understand why this comment is bannable. First devs, Silverlink10 is my name on the PS4 not somone else's name in case you misread the comment. As for the shaming, people in this forum shame nonspecific people all the time. I read a comment just yesterday shaming people for using noed calling them noobs or sucky killers with no skill. Also people shame you for making the legion the way he is. It's nothing new. Now, if I do get banned for reposting this comment, please explain to me this. Am I getting banned for shaming myself or shaming nonspecific people like everyone does in these forums all the time?
It really does look like that you were shaming Silverlink10 though. I am not saying that you wrote it wrong, it is just easy to assume that there was a guy named silverlink10 and he left you behind. You already mentioned it, so yeah mods most probably made a mistake.
Also naming and shaming is not what you think it is. You can say that NOED users suck but you can't say that there is a killer named Delfador and he uses NOED because he sucks. The latter is name and shaming not the first one.
-
@ReneAensland Bud, a friendly reminder, you are being too aggressive to a user that did nothing wrong. It makes you look bad. It is an open forum, people can comment on whatever they want. If you don't like them or what they wrote, just ignore. He was really trying to correct and help you so that you don't make the same mistake in another thread. You should just drop it but you do you.
As for the queue times, I don't think it is a bug, in the last 2 weeks, many survivors on consoles came here and said that it was difficult to find lobbies. I haven't seen any killer coming here saying that they had problems with queue times. There seems to be a lack of killers and I don't know how the devs can fix this.
They should give incentives to play a role that is being less played, maybe more bloodpoints or shards. It wouldn't solve the problem but it would at least make it better.
-
Honestly, I had 0 excitement or hype for the legion for some reason but I kinda think that they are going to do a good job with this killer. I don't want to say I am hyped but yeah this is not going to be a terrible killer.
I hope for a killer that has map pressure, and high mobility that requires skill from both sides to deal with. I don't much care about his 'tier', not bottom tier and a fun killer is enough for me. It would be great if we get another high tier killer like hillbilly though.

It only feels that way because 50% of Survivor gameplay is holding M1.Most Survivors are honestly garbo doo doo so Ranking as Killer is easy only because of that reason.
I can sleep and still pip as a Survivor.
Lies and I don't understand why people try to make it look like one side is so easy and the other side is always more difficult.
Pipping as a survivor is really difficult due to many reasons.
Killer camps the guy on the hook, you gen rush and don't get downed at all. Still black pip, can't even pip.
Killer sucks and he is so bad that he can't catch anybody, black pip.
Killer tunnels one guy the entire match, black pip.
Even if you are a godly survivor, pipping generally doesn't depend on you. Hell, if you are a godly survivor and other survivors are godly too, congrats most probably black pip since the killer won't be able to do much.
And please note that this is when you don't have a bad game and I assumed that you are a good survivor. If you are average or a bad survivor, things get complicated as hell.
In terms of pipping, killer side is a lot easier than the survivor side, period.

Some people still have the ignorance to say that 'the survivors have it easier than ever before' but the game really changed a lot after the clown patch. Especially pallet vacuum removal created so many mindgames for killers like huntress.
I hope that the OP is not serious and being sarcastic. I don't want to think that he is serious lol
-
No, imo, game's economy is almost perfect in terms of items, addons and offerings.
The only problem with the game is the grind for the perks which should have been addressed after the clown patch. You need to put hundreds of hours into the game in order to play the characters you want. It is not that problematic for the survivor side but being able to play all killers requires just too much work.
When they did that winter solistce event in which you could buy gift boxes, I had literally 5 ebony mori 3 blink nurse matches in a row. After that I decided to play the killers and then almost every single match, survivors brought keys. It shouldn't happen all the time.
Again, the only problem is the perk grind and I hope they will address it soon.

The reason why different playstyles are not preferred is not because they are totally crap but the genrush meta is by far the best option.
You can try to save someone spending 5 minutes saboing the hooks or you can finish the gens as soon as possible and give him his adrenaline. I think that the preferable choice is obvious here.
I think that with the recent buffs to sabo and the new hook distribution system, they plan to bring the sabo meta back but they will not succeed. The best option for survivors is to finish the gens as quickly as possible, even more important than the healing.
As long as they don't do anything about the genrush, there will be no different playstyles.

I think a few streams ago the Devs said something about this, like maybe they had something planned? Maybe Disconnecting on purpose shouldn't derank you? Losing Rank isn't punishment if they want that.
Truth has been spoken, thank you.
Losing pips and rank is really not a punishment at all, if anything, it is a reward. I don't understand why they keep going with this formula.
If you want to prevent DCs, survivors or killers should lose X amount of bloodpoints since bloodpoints are one of the main reasons why people keep playing the game. Then there you go, DC rate will drop immensely.
-
We shouldn't alter with movement speeds imo. Nea is okay but David definitely needs something else.
Some of the survivors are great, some of them are too bad. 2% luck does almost nothing, but Detective Tapp's ability is great especially for NOED.
I don't think that survivors should be different though. The way they are good enough imo.
-
BBQ is really not good for her but yeah, it is hard to ignore bloodpoint bonus especially since hag doesn't need addons, you can farm points and use them on killers like freddy or trapper.
A better build would be Ruin, MYC, sloppy butcher and either NOED or M&A.
My build is BBQ, Ruin, sloppy butcher and MYC.
It is strange that you don't use ruin on her since it gives you prep time for your traps and hag can defend her totems.
