How about my response? I don't want to repeat it, you can see it if you scroll up.

  • @Tsulan said:

Good, you already see how the behavior of survivors is affected when they get extra rewards for completing gens. Now Imagine that they could get 4 stacks by repairing gens alone or from being chased.
They would focus on gen rush like they do now and ignore hooks.

After all, it would be double bloodpoints for 5 minute matches.

I don't think I have said anything about gens or chases, my posts are the second and the fifth one, and if you read them you will see that I am against chase part.

OP didn't bring generator part up so I didn't say anything about it. I am against it too.

Healing tokens or picking people up from the ground would not hurt anybody. It would actually improve the perk because people would want to save survivors when the killer leaves just so that they can heal somebody and get another token for that.

  • @Tsulan said:

    Has been said different times.
Survivors can get them for unhooking the same survivor over and over.
For getting hit next to an injured survivor.
For getting hit when the killer carries someone.
    For flashlight saves.
    For pallet saves.

Killer gets 1 per different survivor he hooks.
    End...

But you want to give survivors even more ways to gain points.
    Running in circles was proposed.
    Completing gens was proposed.
    Healing was proposed.

If the devs add more ways, the community will regret it. People would do everything but unhooks or saves.
Our community simply does not know how to behave.
That's one of the reasons the bonus points got nerfed. Because survivors farmed each other for stacks.

But sure, go ahead and change it.
I'll watch and laugh at the complaints that survivors ignore hooks.

Does this answer please you more?

It doesn't please me at all.

'People would do everything but unhooks or saves'
No, even when people don't use WGLF, they still save people, it has nothing to do with this. Saving alone gives you 1.5k. I don't even understand what you mean by there. Just lately, survivors don't go to saves when the gates are powered but it has still nothing to do with WGLF. That's because of event.

'Because survivors farmed each other for stacks.'
That's the whole point, people farm each other for stacks because there is not enough ways to get the tokens whether you believe it or not. If you want to get all tokens by unhooking, 2 people need to reach death hook and the killer needs to get 4 hooks. With more ways, people will not farm each other because there will be, well, more ways.

People will not regret it in the slightest, I can assure you. You talk like all the unhookers are WGLF users.

I am trying something new. I take screen shots of the score page and save them for stats. I have done that in the last 47 matches and now counted it for you. There were 17 WGLF users. Some games had 3 WGLF users, some games had 1 but I will go with 1 per game. Red ranks, rank 1-2.

    47-17=30

Who performed those unhooks in those 30 games when there were no WGLF users if nobody cares for unhooks?

It is not even 30 games, it is more than that, around 35 I believe. You claim is just baseless.

I would answer your other points like there are more ways to get WGLF stacks but I have already done it in other posts so I really don't want to repeat myself.

  • Imagine killers getting ebony mori if they hook 4 different survivors.

Yes they are more or less the same thing. Terribly unbalanced and I don't think devs will ever add something like this.

Keys and mories are cheap, if anything, they should be removed.

  • @MegaWaffle said:
4% baseline chance (without using offerings/perks) to free yourself per unhook attempt.
Basically 4% chance to get a free second chance. Some people will fight until they are blue in the face that this is "fine/balanced" but just imagine the hate that would pour into the forums if killers had a 4% chance to instantly put someone into phase 2 when hooked for the first time.

    Your logic is flawed.

    Correct analogy would be this.

Killers have a 4% chance to instantly put someone into phase 2 when hooked for the first time. Thus, it will give killers 1 less hook meaning that they can be hooked 2 times

Survivors have a 4% chance to unhook themselves and get rid of the hook process, meaning that when the killer gets them for the second time and hooks them, it will count as if the survivor isn't hooked at all. Thus, it will give survivors 1 more hook meaning that they can be hooked 4 times.

When survivors escape via 4% kobe, they still skip to the next phase, the only difference is that they don't require a teammate.

  • When I was playing legion, I checked the locker in the basement and survivor happened to be in the other locker, since it gives me locker speed, I was able to catch him and down him due to 1 shot.

One game, highly situational, anecdotal evidence therefor irrelevant.

Devs have to realize this that KILLERS CAN NOT AFFORD SITUATIONAL PERKS but for some reason they refuse to do so.

Survivors can. Survivors have 16 perk slots, they can use highly situational perks and benefit from them, killers have 4 slots and they don't have enough slots to afford useless perks.

I am pretty sure these are the most used killer perks.

BBQ, whisperer, NOED, Ruin, enduring, brutal strength, bamboozle, spirit fury, MYC, Monitor and abuse, Nurse's calling etc.

Have you noticed something? All of these perks help killers throughout the match except for NOED and ruin and even then, those 2 perks sometimes change the whole game.

    STOP GIVING KILLERS SITUATIONAL PERKS.

    Thank you.

  • He is really really bad, and yes people who think that he is terrible are right.

People play him using his best addons and then come here and claim that he is not as bad as people say.

If you use good addons for other killers, you will notice the difference.

For example, class photo Freddy is actually good believe it or not.
    Frank's mixtape is godlike.
Trapper's bloody coil and the one that makes his traps reset changes the whole game.
Wraith with windstorm or pure stealth wraith is really good.
    Insta chainsaw billy.
    3 blink or omegablink nurse
    Instadown Huntress

I can go on with this.

As you can see, killers become much more powerful with addons, leatherface is different. Even with Leatherface's best addons, he becomes playable not insanely powerful or anything.

    Leatherface is terrible.

  • @HatCreature said:
How about a distortion effect similar to Clown's bottles?

It would be so annoying. I am all for buffing this effect but I really would hate this.

I think your perception should change.

You can't see whether a generator is working or not.
    You can't see crows.
You can't see the hex totems' lights. In that way, every hex totem looks like a dull totem.
You can't see killer's red stains.

I think these kind of suggestions would be a lot better and more useful. Clown's distortion doesn't do much but it would be so annoying if it stayed with us for the whole match.

  • I used to be a P3 claudette main, I moved to meg and now I have found the light.

I have become a Dwight main.

I don't know why but I feel like I will love the next survivor and she/he is going to be my main(most probably she)

  • @Poweas said:

Honestly, I'll just say I strongly disagree with you. With everything you said. If I did all 5 of the gens and died that's a win for me. Most people in this community would agree with what I say which is that if you pip, that's a win. Or at least 3 man, that's a win also.

    I agree with you wholeheartedly.

    As a survivor

If I can save a teammate but give my own life for him/her, it is a win for me.
If I score 20k or more, It is a win for me whether I die or not.
If I run the killer for 3-5 gens, it is a win for me whether I die or not.
If I did something that won the game for my fellow survivors, be it baiting the killer, completing all the gens etc. it is still a win for me whether I die or not.

If I escape through the hatch, I don't consider myself as the winner and I don't think that many survivors consider themselves successful as well.

Hatch is just a free escape mechanic and every single survivor knows it.

Hell, even when I escape through the exit gates, sometimes I don't feel like I won the game.

It is more complicated than 'escape is always win' and 'only the 4k is win for killers'.

  • I feel like that flag clue has nothing to do with the killer.

A couple of times it has been explained and as far as I remember, they mark killers with certain countries like Freddy-Englund etc.

    That's just my opinion though.

  • @HavelmomDaS1 said:

What is it you don't like about the chase stacks? The 60 seconds? Or the whole concept?

WGLF is an alturism based perk, chases have nothing to do with that. It doesn't fit the perk's soul, healing or picking somebody up from the ground does though.

I wouldn't mind if the survivors had more bloodpoint perks and the chase mechanic you propose can be implemented to them. I don't see that happening to WGLF though. Devs are even reluctant to give healing tokens and people want it for ages.

  • I just want healing tokens.

Picking somebody up from dying state is a good way to go too.

I am not sure about the chase part though.

  • As a survivor I have never been cucked this hard with hitboxes.

As a killer I have never been cucked this hard with autoaim.

I feel like both sides have a problem nowadays. I am glad it isn't just my perception.

  • You are way off my dude.

    9% of 1 is 0.09 not 0.9.

    0.9 is 90%

So with resilience you have 1.09 charges

  • It is a problematic mechanic.

For example, I use borrowed time and I want to save the person. What if he kicks me? Instead of both of us getting out, he will cuck me too and result in my demise.

I don't think they will add this mechanic.

  • @PiiFree said:

The incompetence of Survivors has nothing to do with this.
A sabo squad will know where and when to sabo the hooks.

Survivors also fail 90% of the pallet stuns/blinds during pick-up animation. That doesn't mean it's not powerful, it just means most Survivors lack the skill to use it properly.

The problem is not really the incompetence of the survivors.

I have watched Tofu's sabo squad and they did a good job with that. The problem is that if they weren't trying to sabo the hooks but genrush the killer and loop him, they would do a lot better.

Full blown sabo squad is better than full blown genrusher squad. At least that is my opinion.

  • Freddy doesn't need a rework imo.

There is a phase when Freddy becomes visible and then invisible when he puts survivors into the sleep. Freddy should know when he is visible, and when he is not to mindgame better.

It is going to give him a tool for loops.

When you put survivors into sleep, there should be a short period of time that they can't get skillchecks. The RNG thingy should be reduced and sleeps give more time to Freddy. Meaning that it shouldn't be like now I am asleep but it doesn't matter because I am gonna get a skillcheck in like 2 secs.

It is going to give him more map pressure and better gen control.

When you put survivors into sleep, all actions should stop and action bar should not move at all. It is going to prevent easy unhooks, healing in front of Freddy, doing his totem into his face etc.

It is going to prevent bullshit that is happening to Freddy all the time.

I think that these changes are enough but I am not a veteran Freddy player so I don't know. The reason why I don't want a rework is because I actually love Freddy and the way he plays.

  • @MongByeolBuddies

Your solution was actually proposed sarcastically by killer mains and even then I was in love with the idea.

What they said was that when they hook a survivor, the survivors should just be teleported to somewhere so that the other survivors can save him freely. It was, of course, sarcastic.

As @thesuicidefox said, meat hooks mean a lot to the devs and there are places like the basement. Your solution kills the entire concept of the basement which is a big no no unfortunately.

I do agree with you on that you want this solution to be implemented when the devs add secondary objectives but we need to figure out what will happen to the basement etc.

It is true that the killers do not need to think about survivors' fun but the devs clearly have to. For me, camping and tunneling are the most boring things in DbD for survivors, and long loops that you can do nothing about or gen rushing are the most frustrating and boring things for killers. Both should be addressed and both sides should be happy at the end with the changes.

I do think that your solution would fix the camping and tunneling issue but I don't see this coming as a feature unfortunately. I will be very happy if I am wrong though.

  • Spirit is just like the nurse.

It is a dogshit killer if the player doesn't know how to play her.

It is a godlike killer if the player knows how to play her.

The only thing that I can say is that you will get your reward for mastering her.

What about the others that aren't show such as Quentin or Tapp? Are they killers as well>

Are we gonna get another legion? Jesus no, please no

  • If we are going to unlock recovering while running, it should be out of terror radius or chase (terror radius includes lullabies etc.). I am not big fan of chases because even though you chase somebody with killers like hag or huntress, sometimes chases don't begin.

Getting your exhaustion in mid chase is game changing. Though the perk is rather useless at the moment, this suggestion is huge and should carefully be evaluated.

  • When you survive the trial, you should get 8k points in that category.

I mean, you basically survived, why not full points?

  • First teaser for the clown 24 may -->

Ptb for the clown 29 May -->
The curtain call 12 June -->
First teaser for the spirit 17 Aug -->
Ptb for the spirit 28 Aug -->
The shattered bloodline 18 Sep -->
First teaser for the legion 22 Nov -->
Ptb for the the legion 27 Nov -->
The darkness among us 11 Dec -->

I think we will get the teaser in 2 weeks, ptb in 3 weeks and the real chapter in 5 weeks.

They took very long to release spirit's chapter though, so there might be delays.

The most boring killer is hands down the legion.

Other than him, I don't know. If the team is bad, going against spirits and nurses is just frustrating because you do everything you could do and then the next person gets downed in like 10 seconds. I don't find them boring though.

The most enjoyable killers to go against is hillbilly and huntress.

Lmao, you serious that [BAD WORD] possy killer? the huntress aka broken hitboxes? yeah instachainsaw billy is "fun", the only fun killer to play against is pig and scary myers.

Please for the love of god, fck off if you don't know how to talk to people.

Why am I a killer here? I am a solo survivor and I rarely play killers and even then I just play the clown. I almost never touch hillbilly as well.

My play ratio is less then 9 to 1, 9 being the survivor.

Lmao, you serious that [BAD WORD] possy survivor? Pig aka the worst killer? Yeah scary myers who can't catch up is so fun.

    Jesus

And btw the myers need to be so bad for dont catch anyone in the generator, so fck off, is weak but it's fun.

Dude, have you ever heard something like opinion????????? Hello????????? Fun is subjective??????????

The OP asks which killer is fun to play as or against. For me the answer is fcking billy or huntress. Who are you fighting with? My opinion?

For me, going against hillbilly and huntress is the most fun, why would you call me possy for saying what I think is fun?

Going against Myers and Pig is not fcking fun for fcking me? It is dull and I don't like it? Are you going to change my opinion with calling me possy? Why would you make an offensive comment out of that? Am I not allowed to say which killer is fun or not?

Why would you not say which killers are most fun to play as or against like every other user on this thread rather than attack a forum user for saying their opinion? Read the ######### thread, nobody attacked anybody for their fcking opinion except for you.

    What is your problem?

  • @artist said:
    this can't be real

He got stomped most probably, he needs it, let the man do his thingy.

  • Make the pallets spawn after a while.

Make the shack pallet spawn every 20 seconds.

Give us, survivors, the ability to hold pallets and throw them at the killer.

  • @makayla said:
Neither of them are good. STBFL is overrated, but it's still better than PWYF, so STBFL.

STBFL actually makes a huge difference for the clown and the wraith.

IMO, there is not even a competition, STBFL is easily better than PWYF

  • @DexyIV said:

Not worthless or overrated at all. Smack 7 seconds off of each generator while injured? Hell yeah

Useless was an exaggeration, honestly, even monstrous shrine might make a difference but overrated was on point imo.

For example, With we'll make it, you heal survivors in about 8 seconds as opposed to 16 seconds and with 1 heal you get yourself 8 seconds and give the survivor you healed another 8 seconds. It makes 16 second difference and 2 heals would mean 32 secs.

if you equip we'll make it and heal 2 survivors with that perk, you get 32 seconds for your team

if you equip resillience and repair all the generators while you are injured, you get 35 seconds for your team.

I don't know, it seems pretty overrated when there are countless other useful perks. If it really makes that much of a difference when you are vaulting, just maybe but other choices seem a lot better.

  • @PhantomMask20763 said:

No, you had to earn them but they were considerably easier to unlock. The only one that was free was Fengs shirt

Well, honestly first 2 pieces of cosmetics are really easy to unlock in this event too. In the last event, as far as I remember there were 2 pieces that you could earn.

This event doesn't seem to be more difficult, it is just that there are more cosmetics (9 pieces)

  • @Boss said:
Crashes are a thing, though i myself rarely crash, so to me the chances seem small.
Still, it could've happened, and it's not right to fully exclude the possibility.
0.001% is way too small, this game isn't stable enough to reach that number.

There are a lot of crashes before the match starts but honestly, I don't even remember when was the last time my game got crashed in mid match.

It is not more than 1% I can easily say that and even that number seems pretty high to me.

  • I am a survivor main and I don't feel anything

  • I am more than a survivor main.

    I am a P3 Claudette main.

Lately I have started to play more killer though.

  • It is a worthless perk imo but people seem to love it for some reason.

Its effect on gens is more or less the same with thanatophobia and I find thana utterly worthless.

Yes, it makes a little bit difference for vaultings when you are injured but there are much more useful perks than that effect.

I just wanted to put it in the box honey, now I am gone lol

  • @NoShinyPony said:
I played a match today with Spies on Wreckers' Yard. Did not get one single notification from the perk. (No survivor had Calm Spirit.) Either there are way to few crows or the perk is buggy sometimes.

Alerting crows is a problem too imo.

I literally tried to set up a crow but it didn't move.

Crows on the ground don't even go off unless you step onto them.

And then, in some maps like lery's or haddonfield, alerting crows is so much easier. Whenever you go by them, they go off.

  • I don't understand this.

Hag was dog ######### back in the day, worse than leatherface but her perks were in the shrine. Devs didn't try to force people to buy hag for hex:ruin.

Why do you think that the devs deliberately wouldn't put BBQ in their shrine? It is not like BBQ is the only perk that has been put once as well. Vigil, stake out, hangman's trick, left behind etc. were put in the shrine for just once(I excluded perks like diversion pop goes the weasel etc. since they are relatively new).

It honestly looks like a conspiracy theory to me.

  • When you disconnect, you shouldn't lose pips, you should lose bloodpoints.

And if you have 0 bloodpoints, there should be a negative way like -30000 bloodpoints.

After that, people can't derank. I mean you can argue that they can derank by immediately killing themselves on the hooks or leaving the killer AFK but it is going to be a long and painful process.

They will not do that. @fcc2014 Even though your suggestion is good, they will not that too. They don't want to address this issue. If they wanted, the threshold for DCing would be much less than what it is now.

Yes, people have real life emergencies and we can not force them to play the game. However, as I have stated that in another thread, your father can't not have 50 heart attacks in a row, your brother can not have 20 car accidents in a single day, or week or even years.

As I have said, they don't want to do anything about this.

  • Coke for Leatherface
    Milk for dwight
    Wine for Kate
    Whisky for Ace
    Beer for David

  • It would be broken. Though the perk is rather useless, this version is overpowered af.

There are killers like the legion. He would basically walk with bloodlust 3 almost all the time with 125% ms. There are many other problems like hag and nurse, hillbilly etc.

I don't see this rework being successful tbh.

  • @tehshadowman33 said:
I am fine with this. It still won't make overwhelming presence viable though. You'd need to make overwhelming presence to work only when survivors are NOT in your terror radius.

That is actually a great idea too. One problem with this would be using flashlights but depleting medkits or toolboxes are far more important than flashlights considering the fact that flashlights can easily be avoided.

Finally good and creative ideas rather than useless posts.

  • A couple of people sarcastically proposed this and I remember telling them to not give people ideas like this.

    Here we are

  • Bump, people need to see this post.

  • @The_Crusader said:
    I assume they mean Claudettes.

You see what happens is 3 gens get done, and 1 person dies. A 4th gen will probably have a good amount of progress on it too. This situation is still winnable. So 2 of the survivors go to work on those gens hoping to open the doors and get the team out...

....However Claudette doesn't play like that. She decides that now that the hatch is guarenteed to spawn she can activate her natural camouflage and go hide in the basement or in a bush or a dark corner.

And so she does, and the other two survivors die whilst bravely trying to do the gens, and then they spectate and see Claudette stick her cowardly little head out from whatever rock shes been hiding behind and run straight across to the hatch because they all know exactly where it is.

Some claudettes even give up as soon as the first gen is done.

These survivors often do very little for the team and manage to escape just due to the fact that they hid at the edge of the map for most of the game.

    This is not sarcasm.

This comment is the most beautiful description I have ever read on this forum. You should consider writing a book or something.

    I am impressed.

  • Jesus that is a great idea.

I am gonna regret this later when it bites me in the game as a survivor though lol

  • You should just ignore those threads honestly. If you want to participate in so badly, you can always leave a comment and don't respond it later.

I do that to several type of threads. I don't even take a look at camping, tunneling, genrushing, remove DS and NOED, nurse is OP threads. Same ######### over and over again. People have the right to talk about it and there is not much reason to tell people to not talk about it.

The thing that they should do is to create pinned threads where people talk about hot topics like camping or SWF etc.

There are many very useful and beneficial threads but they get lost in this mess unfortunately.

I really want the devs to cool it on cosmetics for a bit. From Halloween on they've put out way too many. I get that they need the money and all that but the game needs to be optimized heavily first. I truly think if the community backlashes hard enough they just might start actually focusing on gameplay instead of looking pretty.

As far as I know, cosmetic department is different than the guys who are responsible for balance, optimization etc.

I really would like to see high school cosmetics for the survivors. Dwight's normal outfit could be an example.

You guys see Jeff's black metal costume? More survivors need heavy metal, black metal costumes.

I would love to see new mutations for hillbilly rather than silly cosmetics.

We need a zombie Hag. Maybe a costume that shows her internal organs, brain etc.?

  • @Sinner said:
Yeah add secondary objectives with today's disconnect rates, see how that goes. :))))

Disconnect rates is irrelevant because people are not supposed to disconnect in the first place. It is on BHVR that people are not afraid enough to disconnect from the matches.

I mean you can argue that people are getting banned because of disconnects but all I see is people deranking from 1 to all the way back to the 10 and nothing happens. The threshold is just too much.

Real life events are extremely important and yes, you should not be punished for disconnecting at those times. Stating that, your father can not have 50 heart attacks in a single day.

  • @Sinner said:
They added second objectives in a past event. The survival rate dropped below 30%.

    That was flawed though.

The reason why survivor rate dropped below 30% was because survivors purposefully killed themselves on the hooks to get the event serum and play the next round.

Bloodpoint wise, they weren't doing terrible either. As far as I remember, if you burned an offering and people got all the serums, you would get around 15-25k in a minute.

    Secondary objectives are still needed.

There’s hills? What? I never seen one! Where are they hiding them?

killers should be able to  place their own totems, like traps! There’s no reason this shouldn’t be implemented as a standard part of game play

But I agree, it should be implemented somehow.
