  • Sweaty and tryhard terms are the most ridiculous things in the gaming history. People are incompetent and can't answer the opposite side's gameplay and they think that they are playing the game casually while the other side tries too hard to win.

Believe me, the ones who accuse people for being sweaty or tryhard will do the same thing that the opposite side does when they play killer/survivor themselves.

Survivors who blame killers for camping and tunneling are the biggest campers and tunnelers when they play killer themselves.

Killers who want survivors to lose their track and hide instead of window or pallet looping try to reach the first window or pallet they see when they play survivor themselves.

    Full of hypocrisy.

  • @Tsulan said:

I don't understand why people don't do them. 600 points for a few seconds. Way more than what they get from repairing gens.

That is one of the misconceptions that killer mains have.

Survivors do cleanse the totems. The problem is not that, at least for solo survivors.

In almost every match, there are 1 or 2 totems that are hidden well. Survivors find the rest and cleanse them dooming rest of the team.

This is why cleansing dull totems is a terrible idea for solo survivors. You don't know if your other survivor mates cleansed one, you don't know if the rest of the totems are in easy or okay places etc.

Small game is not helpful because it still doesn't give you the information you need.

There are 2 good ways to counter NOED. First one is detective's hunch. It is also a great counter to any other hex perk and I regularly use it.

I don't want to rewrite the second counter but if you are interested, here is my advice to another forum user.

They try to open up the platform for adults too.

The thing is... you are right. The trailer tried to avoid violence too and it doesn't make much sense.

  • Honestly, instead of seeing new survivors or killers, I would be very happy if the devs focused on new maps and perks.

  • Finally doctor's madness 3 does something.

Some killers have good synergy with some perks and have hard counters as well.

Calm spirit is a good counter against doc for example, It is not the end of the world if doc has some kind of advantage over borrowed time.

From a survivor's standpoint, I am okay with this.

  • @Okapi said:

A game that is well optimized and bug free will always get better press than one with the opposite. I don't see how frame drops and the infinite loading screen are attracting new players.

Very simple, there is no other game like DbD right now. The ones that exist are dead (Last year the nightmare and Friday the 13th)

There is no other choice if people want to play a game like this.

  • They should raise the amount of jigboxes to 6.

    Remove the RNG thingy.

And make that survivors have to obtain 4 keys to get rid of the RBTs.

They can increase the timer, but the new RBTs should start before a generator pops up.

In that way, the pig can have a reliable power. Right now, it is a hit or miss and it hurts her.

With these changes, every RBT will add 1 more generator to the map (it takes 20 seconds to search a jigsaw box and you need 4 keys.)

Too OP? Don't get caught, easy.

  • Even though I enjoy the clown, you should definitely get hag.

She is one of the top tier killers if she is used right, and her perks are good imo.

  • People can't accept the fact that they got bodied.

I love being accused for cheating though. Just imagine, you play so good that people think that it can't be natural.

    lol

  • @Poweas said:

It's funny how she jumped from second worst to 3rd best.

It just shows you how much time is important in this game. There weren't crazy rework for her, they just reduced setting time for her traps and I believe they changed her teleport range.

Trapper could become a really powerful killer with the right changes but unfortunately, the devs don't want to buff him now. Shame, he is our poster boy.

  • @Eninya said:

Turning into a snowball perk is a bad idea. At best, you should be able to get your token bonuses sooner, such as reducing it to 3 tokens.

It is not a snowball perk though.

Brutal strength gives you 20% pallet break and generator damage anyway.

Bamboozle gives you 15% vault speed and on top of that you block the window.

This perk kind of combines these 2 perks but it costs you time. Instead of getting the bonuses early in the game, you get them later but in turn you save a perk slot for yourself. In order to do that, you need to perform well.

Current Fire up is worse imo because it is kind of a comeback mechanism. If a survivor loops you for 3 generators you get rewarded for your bad gameplay. My version rewards you if you can do well.

Even if it is a snowball perk, I rather have snowball perks than comeback perks like NOED, DS etc.

  • I think this is what should happen to Fire Up.

You should be able to get tokens for hooks, not for completed generators.

    You can get 5 tokens.

Each token will give you 4% increase for pick up, drop, pallet break, generator damage and vaults.

I think that in this way, the perk can become viable enough. Getting tokens for completed generators will always be bad no matter what.

The killer will get good bonuses if they can perform well.

  • @Master said:

    Exactly

    And your point?

There are other perks that were in the shrine just for once.

There are perks that are popular and came with dlcs, and they were in the shrine multiple times.

DS was in the shrine 7 times.

Hex ruin was in the shrine 9 times.

If devs wanted to sell their dlcs in that way, we would see a similar pattern.

Hag used to be worse than leatherface and we were not able to buy her with shards but ruin would go to the shrine anyway.

    It is just a coincidence.

  • @Master said:

    You mean paytowin?

  • @Maelstrom10 you missed my point.

People are against common sense suggestions just because it benefits the other side.

These two quotes are literally true. Survivors have an 'advantage' and it is going to create problems. It might seem like a minor inconvenience to you but it is a huge ass problem for some people. I am not saying that it is a problem for me, I think that survivors already earn less bp than killers, it wouldn't kill the game but then again some people will hate it.

Again, I love your idea but don't expect everybody to be happy about it. That's what these 2 gentlemen were saying.

  • I am a survivor main myself but I just can't understand some people.

Don't camp, don't tunnel, don't slug, don't play this killer, don't play that offering, don't use this perk...

Majority of killers can't get 12 hooks, and if they do, survivors are legit bad at the game. You just need to punish survivors' mistakes and slugging is the best way to punish people and put pressure on them.

Don't give me this crap that GoOd KiLlErS dOn'T SlUg. Which good killer doesn't slug may I ask? Marth? Zubat? Fungoose? ...

I just don't even care to make an explanation when they accuse me for 'slugging'. It is one of the most bullshit complaints in this game honestly.

    Oh boy are you wrong.

Believe me people will ######### about it, I can assure you.

To put in perspective, you know WGLF right? This perk is supposed to be a perk that forces you to perform alturistic actions etc. People suggested that survivors should get tokens when they heal their teammates and pick them up when they are on the ground. People complained about it. This doesn't change the balance or anything btw. It just improves the gameplay.

You know that killers can't get their tokens if survivors disconnect before killers hook them right? People suggested that killers should get a token if somebody disconnects and people complained about it. This doesn't change the balance or anything btw. It just improves the gameplay.

Users in this forum don't give a fck about balance or fun of the game, they just hate the other side and try to oppose anything that might potentially please them. Are you new to the forums or something?

  • It is a great idea but I am not sure if the devs are gonna go with this.

After all, soon enough, we will have 16 survivors and 15 killers. Even if they give 1 hour to every single one of them, it means 31 hours.

Lets go with low numbers and say that each character will get 10 minute backstory game but even then, 310 minutes of gameplay has to be created.

More than 5 hours. I have completed outlast 1 in about 7 hours and outlast 1 was a game on its own.

Again, it is a great idea but I am not sure if the devs will ever think about it.

  • Whenever somebody mentions foxes, furries come to my mind.

    Furries fcked my mind up.

I just don't want to believe that these users are furries.

I am not judging though but still...

I’m sorry I didn’t look up previous changes about the subject. And I wasn’t playing the game when MLGA were whitelisted. I can understand it is an open idea for abuse. But I need some kind of warning against these exploiters.
Lobby dodging is an issue I agree but there are many reasons contributing to it. We can’t just say you dodge cause you know who it is.
Another point of view, wouldn’t it be fair to have a choice who you gonna play with. It is for entertainment in the end. And this current state killers have this privilege and survivors don’t.

What if we don't give any privilege to any side?

It seems to me as common sense honestly.

  • @Maelstrom10 said:

I think the devs are just apprehensive about anything that could possibly make the grind easier. And don't want to spring on any immediate decisions. That being said I do think it would be a great decision. It would also allow them to gain data for what's not being used, in order to possibly rework content in order for people to use it ie, people getting rid of broken keys as an example or getting rid of basic flashlight/medkit addons

Yeah I feel the same way. Grind is one of the most important reasons why people play this game so much and the devs don't want to reduce it.

I have made necessary math. Your average gain is 100k per hour as a survivor and you need to level up 14 survivors to 40 meaning 14 million bloodpoints, and then for your main you need additional 7-8 million bloodpoints to get all of the perks.

    1 mil for 10 hours.
    22 mil for 220 hours.

At least now your survivor side is complete since all of them are just skins. For killer side, it is so much more difficult.

They don't want to do something about this but they clearly should do. At least for perks because grinding for them is insane.

  • Oh that is going to hurt Freddy mains. I am not sure though, they must have gotten used to it :)

I basically looped a Freddy for 4 generators, there was no pallet and window nearby and I was about to go down. Freddy swung at me and at that very moment, I got my adrenaline, got out of his dream world, made him whiff since I wasn't in his dream world, healed up and started to sprint.

I think that poor thing just stood there and waited everybody to leave because neither I nor my teammates got put to sleep after that.

I just left the match with a smile on my face feeling upset for Freddy.

  • I know people will think that I am trolling but...

I start to talk about my favorite gay pornstars and ask them if they know anybody so that I can watch. Sometimes they give interesting answers.

  • You can't get your job done in this forum bud. This isn't the place for it. Mods deal with the forum and the devs don't interfere with this kind of behavior on the forums.

He's at the top of my (my, personally, not speaking on behalf of the company) licensed killer wishlist, that's for sure. There's so much you can do with a killer so short that he could hide in some grass without you noticing. Although I'm sure he would be a nightmare to work into the game because of how tiny he is.

    @WaffleThot said:
bUt HoW wOuId He cArRy DaH sUrViVoRs?

He could tie them up and drag them around. Instead of wiggling on his shoulder you would struggle to untie the rope. Hooking could work the same way, with him hoisting you up with the rope. A total nightmare to animate and all that, I'm sure, but it could be possible.

    I always say it, Where There's A Will, There's A Way

He is at the top of my licensed killer wishlist too, he or jason should be the next licensed killers if we are going to get any.

  • Yeah many times this has been proposed but it seems to me that the devs don't want to go with this. It seems to be a good idea though.

  • The thread is old and I don't know about banned people but I would love to have a mode that allows me to get into a map on my own to explore, see stuff, work my blinks etc.

It would be cool if you could start kill your friends games without anybody.

  • Well, they might stop playing the game but I really am not worried.

  • It is stated that there is SWF in 70% of the matches. Lets think about the best case scenario.

There is no 4 men SWF or 3 men SWF. Only 2 men SWF and 2 solos in those matches.

Even if this was the case, it would mean 35% of the survivor players are SWF players.

There are more than that number because there are also 4 or 3 men SWF groups as well.

A huge chunk of the survivors would stop playing the game since they can't play the game with their friends

It would cause massive killer queues.

Some killers really don't enjoy playing survivors and since there are long queues for killers, some of the killer players would give up playing the game as well.

The game might potentially lose half of its players. This is why SWF is not going anywhere and they will not nerf them because it is going to create a false image.

Your best bet is the introduction of voice comms to the game and balance the game around it. If not, then killers will have to endure SWF.

I think this is the reality.

  • Kiss-Adam
    Marry-Frank
    Kill-Julie

  • Yes but that is Myers's own power.

NOED give ms and NOED users have also their own abilities.

So basically, Myers is a killer on his own but with NOED, every other killer becomes a Myers still having their own unique powers. At that point you fight with a EW3 Myers who can teleport around the map

  • @NoShinyPony said:

I don't want to lead this discussion away from the original topic, but your reply just got me really curious: In a 4 SWF group, how many DS and insta-heals are you facing on average?

    Uhm I really don't know.

I actually am curious about that myself. I started to do something new. Right now, as a solo survivor I take pictures of the end game screen. So far I have played 63 solo survivor matches and I will stop at 250. After that, I will start to play the clown at red ranks and take end game screen shots to see the difference.

So far, in my last 63 survivor matches, there were 36 DS users, in 5 matches there were 2 DS users, in 1 match there was 3 DS users and the rest are 1 per match.

In 29/63 matches, Killers had to deal with DS. It is interesting because I swear I see DS a lot more often than this. I do wonder if I see DS more often because I don't dodge lobbies and get more SWF groups than normal?

Again in the last 63 solo survivor matches, there were 5 septics, 1 syringe. Only 1 game had 2 septics at the same time. Killers had to deal with insta heals in 5 games out of 63.

It is not going to end soon though, nowadays I don't really want to play the game and I am not sure if I continue to record after the new killer's release since it will alter the stats.

Just wanted to share this with you.

  • I always hated games that are time based.

Yes, it would encourage survivors to go into full stealth mode but it is not desirable, at least by killer mains. Killers whine about looping but immersed survivors are 10 times worse than loopers and gen rushers.

I don't think something like this will ever happen.

  • @e8Lattice said:

Ok that's good to know, I knew about Freddy but not about T1 Myres. These are core unique Killer abilities that cannot be transferred via perks. With that in mind:

Are there any other Killers that have immunity to Dark Sense? Legion perhaps? It's just I was up against Legion, completed 2 gens, did a thorough 360 over the 7 seconds I had to see the Killers aura both times and nothing.

Also this Legion I was up against was using Legion abilities so they didn't have that Very Rare offering to change their core Killer skill set to either Freddy or Myres which would have been kind of obvious anyway.

No legion doesn't have that ability but there is one perk that I think can affect dark sense.

Hex: Third seal disables your aura reading ability.

As far as I know, this is the only way to disable your aura reading ability perk wise. There are some other ways like RBT addons but since you went against a legion, that is not possible.

Do you remember the perks he used?

  • Not a 4 perk combo but I love using Stake out, Detective's hunch with a map.

It is a great counter to every single hex perk, including NOED and Ruin.

  • Alert doesn't work against Freddy when you are not in his dream world, which killer did you face?

  • @Mrrgle_the_Mediocre said:

Otherwise, yeah, I guess your point does stand with the other three. (Although I personally think Meg looks like an escaped test monkey, other people seem to think that she's great for whatever reason.)

It would be very interesting to see an old, nonathletic, fat, ugly faced Survivor of either gender though tbh. Some Survivors incorporate at least one of these, but damn having the OMEGA ugly Survivor would be the best meme character.

I would buy every single cosmetic for her.

    Let it happen.

Why do you want a perk that messes up with sound? Don't you know how absolutly necessary sound for killers is? Didn't you saw right after the engine update it was ez pz to lose the killer around a corner because he couldn't hear you? That's such a stupid perk idea

Killers and survivors have already perks that messes up with sounds, be it stridor, iron will etc. It is a very important aspect of the game and should be utilized more.

It is a good and strong perk idea and will come in handy. That's the whole point, what do you want me to suggest, another perk like boil over or diversion?

'Didn't you saw right after the engine update it was ez pz to lose the killer around a corner because he couldn't hear you?' This is the whole point btw, thank you for pointing out.

  • @fluffybunny said:
That would probably be easy to exploit. Like people could sell you BP for money and I doubt that's something they want to encourage.

Jesus I would make hell lot of money if it happened.

Let it happen, my brand new job, bloodpoint seller.

  • This should happen at least for BBQ but it has been suggested before and the devs don't seem willing to do that which doesn't make sense.

There are survivors who literally DC just so that they can deny your stacks. It is just a bad game design at this point and I don't know why BHVR doesn't do anything about this.

WGLF is another perk that is a result of bad game design. Because of this perk people get hits for no reason just so that they can get stacks and waste their time healing themselves, they try to go to flashlight saves rather than doing generators, they farm other teammates and fck up the whole team. This perk's problems still didn't get addressed as well.

I went a little bit off topic but well, maybe they see and do something. One can only hope.

  • I agree, sometimes it consumes so much time that I want to DC, that I would play another match instead of waiting there.

Your suggestion is really good, it gives chance to survivors who want to loot or get the event items etc.

It has been suggested by other people in the past and got ignored though.

  • I don't dodge lobbies, I would still continue to play.

It is either I got used to SWF groups or they are not that big of a deal.

The only time I dodge lobbies is when somebody has bad ping and refuses to leave.

  • @yes said:

Maybe Lightweight can be buffed so that we can see scratch marks? Or would that be too much for a non-teachable Rare perk?

    Example:
Tracker- Your scratch marks are visible to you. While your scratch marks are visible, they spawn slightly/moderately/considerably farther apart.

Same, maybe that perk could also reduce or remove the "grunt" you make from falling from long falls, that would have excellent synergy with BL.

    Example:
Shh..- After landing from a long fall, the noises made by the fall are reduced by 50/75/100% and the noises made while running, walking or traversing through grass is reduced by 20/60/80%.

Yeah, that'd be a cool perk. We need more perks that include finding a specific item for the first time in a chest, and finding a map could be one of them. Maybe Rainbow Maps could be added in there as well, or maybe the perk could go like this:

X Marks the Spot!- Searching a chest for the first time will either provide you with a Rainbow map or a Rare map. There is a 50/75/100% chance the killer will not be notified if you close the chest. All chests are revealed to you for 3/4/5 seconds at the beginning of the match, and every time you search a chest.

These are actually great ideas, I hope the devs see these.

    Hex: Devour Expediency

2 gens completed - auras of survivors are shown
    3 - exposed
    5 - MORI

Destroying the hex gives a mini ruin effect on all remaining gens for 20/40/60 seconds.

I think this is a really good suggestion. It would even be better if the totems get lit after the first effect.

  • I want more 'general' perks not situational, especially for killers.

Look at last perk we've got with the legion. Mad grit and Iron Maiden, both of them are situational and people don't use them. Again, as I have stated before, killers can not afford highly situational perks. We need perks that can affect the whole game like bamboozle, brutal strength, enduring etc.

    As a survivor,
I want to be able to see my scratch marks. I would love to have a perk that allowed me to see them so that I can make good jukes and plan better.

I want to have a perk that makes me quiet when I am walking or sprinting or grass sounds. When the sound system was broken, I was able to make good plays since killers were not able to hear our sounds.

I want to have a perk that allowed me to have a map first time I search a chest just like pharmacy. A lot of people still don't realize how good detective's hunch+map combo. I wish I could get that perk as soon as possible.

I don't play killer much so I don't know what I want for them.

Yeah the same exact thing happens to me even though I have good ping.

You can see that at 0.07 david vaults and moves forward, and then gets teleported back to the spot he vaulted.

They did add momentum because right now, you can move due to momentum but it doesn't help at all.

  • I will be 100% honest with you.

Killers are more difficult to play.

Playing killer is overwhelming. Whether people accept it or not, survivor games are generally chill.

There is not much room for you to make a mistake, one mistake can result in a very bad match. Survivors can make multiple mistakes and get away with them.

Most of killers don't require much skill and the chases depend on how good the survivors are.

Gen rushing is a problem for me.

Don't get me wrong, I usually get 3k or 4k but I feel like I put too much effort for achieving that. I feel like If survivors put half of the effort I put in, they would wipe the floor with me. I am pretty sure many other killer mains will agree with that.

I do believe that the killer side should be more difficult but not this much unforgiving.

There are positive reasons why I play with survivors but I don't think they are the main reason why I don't main the killer side.

1 … 20 21 22 23 24 … 47
